Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its convenient location, cleanliness, and excellent customer service. However, there are recurring complaints about high additional charges, particularly for parking and WiFi, and issues with room maintenance and amenities.

Hotel was big and rooms were a decent size. Slept in a room by the pool. Shower pressure was great along with the hot water

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good and quick service.

Sure, at least till 10. Thank you

The room was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. However, there was a continuous noise coming from an area near the entrance of the room, across from the bathroom door. The sound resembled running water and never seemed to stop, even during the night. Unfortunately, this significantly impacted our stay. We were traveling with a baby, and both the noise and the difficulty sleeping became a major issue for our family. A good night's sleep is one of the most important aspects of any hotel stay, and this problem greatly affected our comfort. I was also disappointed with the in-room coffee station. It contained only one tea bag, two cups, and three coffee packets, all of which were decaffeinated. A more complete selection would have been appreciated. Additionally, the view from Room 401 was not particularly enjoyable and fell below what I expected from this property. While I appreciate the cleanliness of the room and the efforts of the staff, the constant noise issue had a substantial negative impact on our overall experience. I hope the hotel can investigate this issue for future guests and consider an appropriate gesture to address the inconvenience caused during our stay.

Ice machines were all broken during our visit, but that didn’t ruin the trip. We were able to get ice from the restaurant inside.

Rey at the front desk is sooo helpful! Our rental car got delayed due to unexpected issues so we didn’t get to the hotel on Thursday like we supposed to. He took care our check in so efficiently when we got there and understood what we have been through, got our room upgraded and parking. He really made our day a lot better! All the staff we met during our stay were friendly as well. Highly recommend!

- 3/5
Overpriced for what it is; old and kinda run down.
- 5/5
Mo the front desk person was excellent! The room choice was perfect. The walls are a little thin but nothing noice canceling headphones can’t handle. I will be staying here next time I’m in Chicago.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Wish the 1st Parking lot was bigger but overall good stay!
- 4/5
Room 403 had a sound that I can only describe as a washing machine constantly going and maintenance said that's unfortunately normal. The front desk was helpful and moved my room and the new room was great. Breakfast + dining was very pricey, but you have instant access to blue line to go anywhere else for food.
- 5/5
I will add that I've traveled extensively and haven't ever paid for parking per day in addition to my stay and I think that's a little steep to add to your guests on top of what they're already paying. $38 a day is excessive, especially when the car is just sitting there because you're taking the train into the city. Again, the stay was beautiful and much appreciated, but I would absolutely reconsider charging your guests that parking fee as we are already paying a bunch to stay there.

If you plan to use the pool take sandals within a 2 day span I experienced at least 5 falls from individuals walking around pool. Even if you are walking normal speed you slip easily. I almost fell myself, even after being very mindful of the slippery floor.

The building is a little run down and the front desk was not very helpful during my stay

Very clean. They didn't make mistake on food but I have suggesting for them they need bigger menu So.many things the hotel needs to be at a better location. The food if you going to have same food on the menu. Figure out something different ever restaurant don't. Have. About the food make sure talk to the head chef

We got a much smaller room than we booked. Hotel was nice but room was small and not what I booked and paid for. We requested more towels/wash clothes due to them giving us only one set for two people and they never brought them to us. It was ok for barely being in the room but not worth what we had to pay.
- 5/5
The room was clean. I was given the wrong room at first but I had went back down to let them know and they were kind about it. Did not appreciate paying for 4 days of parking, although the gates for parking were open for 2 days for anyone to park in.

2) Gave them out Bob Voi Numbers and were assured that we would not be charged for Wi-Fi. When we received the bill they had charged us for Wi-fi. They then kept stalling about giving us a hard copy and then reluctantly agreed to eliminate the Wi-fi charge.

Great for a short business stay! Clean, quiet, good bar and nice lobby
- 5/5
Very clean. Excellent staff. Restaurant was very good. Bed was really, really comfortable with good pillows. No downside to the room. Very convenient to O'Hare and the interstate. It is our go to when flying out. Parking is ample through a third party.

Need to be updated Lot of noise from the doors in the hallway at night Room was hot No mirror to get ready and no full length mirror Friendly staff Breakfast was okay
- 4/5
Great bar restaurant, pool, and workout room. Only felt bathroom needs some repairs on the door due to no fan in bathroom and wood is warping due to the humidity.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was good, didn’t use the pool (not my scene), and the breakfast was overpriced for a hotel.
- 5/5
THE COFFEE IS TREMENDOUS EVEN THOU YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AFTER 6 AM
- 5/5
For the first hotel in Chicago it was amazing
- 5/5
Really nice place and close to the train station

Banquet Manager was awesome!!!!

I was so surprised how affordable this hotel was considering how nice it was. It was less than five minutes from O’Hare Airport. The hotel was so clean, the staff was so nice and our stay was very pleasurable as results of this. I would recommend this hotel !!!

Please see whether Booking.com can refund the no-show fee of US$ 138.88 on May 4 at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at Lafayette. The reason is the flight was cancelled due to severe thunderstorms at the airport of Chicago. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn& Suites from May 5 to 8, three nights. Please consider my request. Many thank.

- 5/5
Very comfy bed with great pillows. Shower was excellent with good products. Big TV. Prompt shuttle to ORD. Easy off and on the freeway. The restaurant was really good as well. It is our go to when flying from Chicago. Parking is reasonable…
- 4/5
Bathroom doors are 30" and bathrooms are tight. Bathroom also had a few minor broken items (outlet, door stop, tp holder) Restaurant dinner was excellent. Did not use the pool as it was full of kids and families. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
We had no microwave. I feel like that's always essential in a hotel room, especially when traveling out of town.
- 5/5
Everyone was so helpful in the last minute changes that came our way and we appreciate that
- 3/5
The room was physically clean but had a very strong mildew / mold smell. Layout of the hotel was confusing
- 4/5
amenities were great and the Staff was welcoming.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay!

The shower would not drain so we were standing in water the entire time. Outside door was not sealing so it whistled day and night with the wind

They have a shuttle to airport. Very nice hotel.
- 1/5
Shuttle was the highligh of the stay. Worst customer service ive ever experienced in any Marriott hotel ever! I mayb ever stay at a Marriott again for this reason. No staff, overbooked. Abhorrent customer service!
- 1/5
After being stuck in Chicago due to weather, I called the hotel to verify they would come pick me up. Once I made the reservation they refused to come.
- 4/5
Very nice property. Blue line from airport to downtown stops right in parking lot
- 5/5
This place is always extremely accommodating whenever I’ve had issues flying in or flying out. Have a great shuttle service rooms are always clean and they’re very accommodating. Although the only part that needs help is the bartender I know she was very busy and it’s not always that busy. There were 200 flights canceled yesterday. There was no issue checking in or checking out, but I felt the bartender needed a little bit of adjustment. She was very rude to the customers who had been through a very exhausting day. Maybe a smile on her face would make things a little easier other than that I will always continue to come staying because like I said, they’re always very accommodating when it comes to an exhausting day.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel
- 5/5
The room was nice and the staff was courteous. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family

Clean room and staff was excellent
- 5/5
The room was cleaned and well-maintained. Thanks to the help of front desk staff we were able to access Internet, however it is a bit unclear if there was complimentary Wi-Fi and a little tricky to join the network.

NO GOOD

Hotel is dated. Parking was a bit difficult. Overall okay experience.

- 3/5
Hotel was ok, rooms were older, bathroom was very small. Food was expensive. I was charged wifi access for just getting yo the page where I was told there would be a charge, then closed the browser. Overall, wouldn’t stay there again
- 4/5
It was clean the bed was comfortable however it was pretty cold inside the room, hallways and elevator.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. I specifically want to thank the bell hop who jump started my car for me in the middle of a blizzard. Way above and beyond the call of duty!
- 1/5
I've stayed at hundreds of Marriott properties in my career. This was the single worst experience of my life. Its 15 degrees in Chicago, and they left us freezing our butts off for over a half hour at ohare waiting for the shuttle. I'm pretty sure i have frostbite. Everytime i called they said 5 min. LIARS. When we got there, another shuttle was sitting idle with no driver it it, while other customers are im sure at ohare still freezing. Even after the bus came, he left the door wide open while he had a chat with another driver. You really should allow reviews lower than one star.
- 5/5
Clean room. The pool was amazing for our kids. The woman at the bar was super sweet and made a delicious latte
- 5/5
Everything was great. Thank you.
- 5/5
Staff was awsome and room was very clean. Would stay there again.
- 1/5
This hotel does everything possible to save money at the customer's expense. The front desk receptionist last night (brown hair, glasses and a beard) was a passive aggressive punk who should be fired.
- 4/5
The room was okay, staff were good
- 1/5
Expedia sucks and so does the hotel
- 3/5
I was charged Wifi without noticed.

The refrigerator not in a cabinet - it was just sitting out in the room dented and missing paint. Sheets and pillows were wonderful and the staff was very nice Breakfast was powdered eggs Marriott can do better!
- 5/5
amazing amenities staff exceptional everyone very courteous it was our 40th anniversary and we were able to check in early and they comped our parking Love this place
- 4/5
Standard clean airport hotel, did the job. Good option for an early morning departure from O'Hare.
- 3/5
I stayed at this property on short notice because of snowstorm that caused numerous flight cancellations at ORD. The room was clean, the airport shuttle was convenient and the staff was pleasant. My stay was satisfactory up until breakfast - the close to $30 buffet was extremely disappointing. I recall college dorm breakfasts were better. It’s been awhile since I stayed at a Marriott branded property but I was expecting a much higher level of food quality.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast ok, could be better with more options.
- 5/5
Very courteous staff.
- 3/5
Just need to modernize the facility...otherwise, the staff was good.
- 4/5
They had a nice restaurant with great menu options. No free breakfast. The service was great at the restaurant. The food except hash browns were good. My eggs were poached medium and they nailed it.
- 5/5
The staff helped us get a different room where we needed a different shower
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Everything was great!!!
- 4/5
Pool and fitness center were nice. Breakfast buffet on the weekends is great. During the week it is only a la carte. Room was comfortable and quiet. Only issue was that the bathroom was quite small, the door almost touched the toilet and sink!
- 5/5
Awesome and amazing
- 5/5

There was no heat on our floor. My room was freezing. The front desk kept saying we could move but it was 12 in the morning. Nobody apologized or said anything the next morning. I had to ask the person who checked us out. They said I got a refund for 1 night. I would see it on the bill. The email I received did not reflect the free night.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
The room was nice. The beds were very uncomfortable tho. The pool was phenomenal.
- 3/5
The shuttle driver picking us up from the airport was very rude, no customer service skills whatsoever. We were informed there would be a breakfast buffet for $23, which was not available. Our waitress during breakfast rushed us to finish and stood there waiting for us to order instead of giving us a few moments, as we asked. She told us, after less than 3 minutes of sitting down "youve had enough time to decide, what woukd you like". The hotel is beautiful, front desk staff was wonderful but the shuttle driver and breakfast experience were not.
- 5/5
The buffett food was amazing
- 4/5
Airport Shuttle its a nice to have
- 5/5
Airport shuttle was excellent. Drivers were friendly and helpful. Overall the room was comfortable and clean. However there was some deterioration on the bathroom door which kind of stuck out when using the bathroom.
- 4/5
The airport shuttle was great. There were more passengers than room so the driver quickly switched to a larger vehicle.
- 5/5
Dio the AirPort shuttle guy was great! He explained to us how to get the train, what places were great to go eat, where to safe tour!
- 5/5
Did not go to the pool. Shuttle was right on time. The person ion the desk was very cordial.
- 5/5
Great place to stay with wonderful service! Very safe area also!
- 5/5
The property and area was clean, friendly staff. Their wasn't to much to do close to the hotel we had to catch the train into the downtown area.
- 5/5
Although I read the reviews, I was still concerned what the hotel would be like being it’s right near the airport. I was pleasantly surprised upon walking into the clean, polished, welcoming lobby. The staff at the desk was helpful and welcoming. Our room was on the first floor facing the pool. It was clean and comfortable. Free transportation to and from the airport was a big plus being we didn’t rent a car. We paid about half the price per night compared to another hotel that was more into the city near the park for the marathon. Another plus is the train station is right out the side of the hotel across the street. Hint: you can purchase a $5 train pass for the day and get on and off as many times as you like. Great bargain. Great for touring. It was perfect for us being our daughter was in the marathon and we hopped the train to different mile markers. There’s also a weekend train pass if desired. The only negative was breakfast wasn’t for free. It was $23 each, however a large variety of hot food and fruits, cereals, etc. and tea, coffee and juice. If you like to eat breakfast it’s well worth it. I’m glad Marriot lived up to its name. Great place to stay!

All of the staff was very nice and helpful, especially Rey! Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was fine. I had no problems or issues.
- 5/5
Freindly staff very helpful and gave great advise on what to see and do in Chicago.
- 3/5
Additionally, finding an available parking spot was difficult many of the spaces were already filled, which added unnecessary stress and delay after arrival. For the future, it would be helpful if guests were informed of the parking situation in advance or if more convenient parking options were made available.
- 5/5
The staff and service is wonderful! Room service food is delicious and always quick delivery.

Room was tidied every day.
- 4/5
The location could use some love. Updates would help. In general it’s a good hotel.
- 5/5
Lobby was spotless. Staff helpful. Train station to Chicago is right next door
- 4/5
The airport shuttle was incredibly confusing as there are 3 Marriott’s with shuttles, so I needed the address to assure I was going to the right one. Another differentiator would be nice. Proximity to the train was really nice as I used it to get downtown and to the airport in the morning.
- 5/5

We took our grandson to the Monster Jam event at nearby Allstate Arena for his birthday trip and stayed here overnight afterwards. After mentioning this to the check in team, they delighted us by comping us breakfast, parking and a free beverage. It made our trip very memorable to be treated so well. We also LOVED the huge indoor/ outdoor pool!

- 5/5
We had a great time. The costumer service was excellent. Robert Davis trying to ated us very well, he was a wonderful host. The rooms were comfortable and everything was clean. The pool was great as it has an outdoor-indoor setting that allows to enjoy the sun and at the same time a more private cozy inside
- 4/5
Older building. Comfortable room, good food and store around
- 3/5
Rooms are just too small. Had a poolside room with a second door that led to the pool which was convenient. But room was too small
- 5/5
I had a bad experience at another hotel while visiting Chicago for a basketball tournament and thankfully was able to find another hotel quickly. Upon checking in, staff member Jared was great. He was sympathetic to what I went through at the other hotel and unexpectedly gave us an upgraded junior suite and a parking pass for our stay there at the hotel. People do not have to be kind to you and I'm extremely grateful for Jared being so kind to my family and I. The room was a total 360 from the other hotel room. It was spacious, clean, comfortable. I enjoyed our stay there and if I ever visit Chicago again, this hotel will be high on my list.

It was terrible…. Room is with full of flies and mosquitoes and not even proper animi-ties. Only the view of the pool is good and even the pool is dirty… would not recommand at all..
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
We only stayed one night but was nice having pool view and walking out back door to pool.
- 2/5
We were on the 10th floor and one elevator was out the entire trip. When we can back from the city the first evening our door had been left it just unlocked but open for the entire day after housekeeping service. I paid for a poolside room and got a room overlooking the roof. I was ok letting that go until I found out I paid more for the poolside and was not compensated at all.
- 5/5
It was amazing nice and clean and my room was ready... Clean pool...
- 4/5
Nice property, clean rooms, super convenient to the train.
- 3/5
The pool from inside to outside needs attention. Where signs fell off snd the plastic divider all look like crap! Small things but very noticeable. Broken elevator, im wondering how long its been broken?
- 4/5
Great if you need to get to airport quickly and 50 minutes from the city.

We stayed here because of the closeness to the airport. We missed our connection flight at Chicago O'Hare airport and were forced to spend the night in Chicago. The shuttle to the airport the next morning was a great perk. Check-in was quick. We were stranded without luggage and the free toothbrush and toothpaste were really appreciated.
- 3/5
Asked front desk to alert us when our pizza was delivered. They left it in the lobby for 45 minutes.
- 4/5
For the price we paid, i was disappointed to find that our room smelt like cigarettes. A few fixtures in the room seem to be stained from smoke and the carpet didn’t feel clean. But aside from that, the pool was clean, bathroom was nice, breakfast was expensive but it was okay. Stayed for two days. Genuinely would have liked to have a nicer room for $250 a night but hey, I still had a good time.
- 5/5
Easy and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was fabulous. They answered all my questions and always happy to help me when I came up the desk.
- 4/5
The check in was smooth. Our room was average. Leaky toilet faucet, hair dryer that didn’t function and a rolling mirror door that did not lock kept coming off the railings. Beds were comfy and we slept well.
- 5/5
I like the service
- 4/5
Loved the property, amenities, staff and overall experience. Its so convenient by the CTA, and expressway. Having the ability to have breakfast on location is great as well. The only reason I did not give 5 starts was due to the hallways being VERY warm (well over 80 at all times) and when the temp outside was 95 the rooms would not get cooler then 75 (had 2 rooms one on 11th and one on 3rd same experience for halls and room temps).
- 2/5
As far as the room it was ok…nothing fancy. I did wake up with a rash on my body from the sheets. Once we left the hotel a few hours later the rash and itch associated with it were gone. Don’t know what’s up with your sheets but that needs to be addressed. I would hate for someone else to get a rash and itchiness like I did. I don’t think we will be staying at a Marriott again for awhile!

Bar and Rest. Was Great Food and Service ! Booked to be close to airport for an early AM flight. This hit all the wants. Luved being able to sit outside on the patio by the pool watching the planes fly out and the great Flowers blooming was a bonus. Check in was professional and informative. Gym was great and equipment A+. This will be the first choice for any more ORD stopovers. Great Job Guys!!

The restaurant was nice and we had a quick dinner with drink. The pool is very convenient although we didn't use.

Property was definitely nice , I enjoyed my stay , my room had a lil dust in minor sections of the room but it was okay & parking was entirely too high & should’ve been included in the stay as free parking or atleast discounted.

The room was clammy. Only two streaming platforms accessible

The guy at the front desk that checked us in was amazing. Room is clean. Pool had a bunch of leaves in it but was still nice since it was extemely hot out.

The entry way smells so bad. Like sewer, garbage, or mold- I’m not sure. The people were polite but this place is pretty run down. The sheets seemed clean. This hotel has quite a bit of deferred maintenance to deal with. The best thing I can say is that it is close to the airport.

We arrived late and Rey took very good care of us. Made sure we ordered dinner from the restaurant before they closed. Sorry we couldn't stay longer.

The reason for the 4 stars is mainly because the hotel was a bit older then usual with the HVAC system being the old school one. We were also expecting a room on the higher floors with a view of the pool but, we were given a room on the 1st floor. I would definitely visit again if I can.

The good news is there are no bedbugs. The staff are also incredibly friendly. The property needs some attention. The hinge on our door was detached, and no one had addressed it. The pool area needs a great deal of maintenance. The best part is the location.
