    Pro: Good gym, good room size, 676 restaurant. Con: room 1610 by the elevator is extremely noisy. Plus slow elevators. Late checkout charge, even though I'm a member. Shower pressure was like a fire hose, water everywhere.

    I loved the front desk staff. Super welcoming, we showed up late and extremely tired. It was convenient that there is a Walgreens nearby so we could grab a late night snack. There weren't options to choose from at the hotel at 11:00 pm. As I was getting ready for bed, I noticed a dried booger on the vanity mirror, and it freaked me out. It is a bummer as my husband and I thought it would have been great to spend our whole visit in Chicago there, but some of the cleanliness factors were more than we cared for.

    Old hotel and rooms. All the outlets in our room were titled and so hard to plug things in them. The outlets near the nightstands on either sides can’t accommodate a charger because they’re stuck on the side of the nightstand between it and the side of the bed. Hairdryer so old and didn’t work. Check in was exactly at 4, they weren’t lenient when I showed up at 2:40.

    Best hotel in Chicago for the price. Perfect location. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are stylish and spacious. One minor inconvenience is that they do not offer room service but I was able to put an order in at the restaurant and pick up was fast and easy.

    Property was lovely. Location was perfect. Staff very helpful. The problem was that i expected to be in our room at 4pm or earlier but it was 6pm. That ruined our plans. We travelled from a few hours away, wanted to freshen up, charge our phones then have dinner & get to a cubs game for 7:30 & getting our room so late was terrible. We got a dining credit for the inconvenience.

    Exceeded my expectations. We were traveling with a toddler and a service animal and the stay couldn’t have been better. Incredibly attentive and personable bell staff and doormen. Impeccably clean. Rooms are formatted well for families. Excellent location on a quieter street off the Magnificent Mile. Will 100% be staying here again on future trips to the city.

    The set up of the suite worked well, with the bedroom separate from the TV, desk, and bar/refrigerator area. Staff kept the room clean and provided daily cleaning, fresh towels, etc. when we asked. Restaurant on site (676) was terrific for both breakfast and dinner (we did not try lunch there). Workout room had sufficient space and variety of options for daily workouts. Location is excellent for many main sights, river access, several bus routes providing access throughout the city.

    Not even sure where to begin. My husband and I decided to stay with our 3 year old son at the Omni, based off of location and reviews. Things started out fine. We went to the 3rd floor to check in and immediately upon the elevator doors opening we were greeted with the awful smell of what smelled like cat urine. I chalked it up to that being something out of the ordinary but during our stay it never went away. It wouldn’t have been so bad had we not have to get off and on at the 3rd floor to go to our room so we were constantly walking into it. Fast forward two days, we’ve checked out and are waiting for valet to bring my husband’s truck around. There was only 1 gentleman working so after about 20 mins our vehicle came around the corner and my husband immediately noticed that his tailgate was down. When I opened the back door I could see that his truck had been turned upside down. All of the contents were not in its home and the console had been completely ripped off and lying in the passenger seat. Whoever parked his truck forgot to lock it. My brand new phone was stolen and the object they used to break into the locked console and glove box was a pair of scissors which they destroyed. We’ve kept them in the bed of the truck in a bin to use for the last 5 years to clean up our deceased daughters burial site. So needless to say that’s not how we wanted to end the trip. Leah Russell was very understanding. Since we booked 3rd party, I don’t even think we will be reimbursed.

    This hotel is in an excellent location and the staff is amazing! Breakfast was great too. The suite layout was perfect for our family of 4. One tip is to call ahead to ensure they have extra pillows/linens for the pullout couch ahead of your arrival.

    The Valet was very helpful, but the check-in clerk not as helpful. Although the checkout clerk was very polite. The room was in need of repairs or upgrades, eg. Towel hook not secured, wallpaper peeling, wall mirror deterioration along the bottom, and the Makeup mirror was unusable it was very dim, even at full strength.

    The staff was amazing, i’ve stayed at omni all over the country, the room was spacious. The only complaint is that the rooms are super dated and you can tell they haven’t been renovated in a while so there’s a lot of visible wear and tear on everything. The sliding door to the bathroom was broken and the shower drain got clogged during stay so the tub was filling up while you’re in the shower. just little things like that, we didn’t spend much time in the room so it was fine and the staff was amazing just don’t expect the state of the art room.

    Booking thru expedia was AMAZING! Ive wanted to experience this hotel since i was a child because it is the place Oprah's guests would stay. I was thoroughly impressed!! The staff is the best of this experience! The restaurant staff was second to none! They were attentive and accurate. They were friendly and helpful. The room's decor was beautiful!     The hotel is definitely dated and could use a proper update of furniture, hardware, etc. There are some modern items like the TVs, new paint, some wall sconces, but generally the rooms and the spaces feel tired. The bar and restaurant is only open a few hours a day (becoming more common at hotels), so be mindful of that. Our room didn't allow us to control the temperature - even though it had a thermostat (a dated one) that could be adjusted. Our options were heat or no heat, we wound up turning off the air and cracking a window (and you can barely crack them - which I understand for safety but they maybe opened a centimeter). Cracking a window in downtown Chicago means a decent amount of noise, so this was our biggest frustration with the room. If you like to customize your climate, I'd call the hotel in advance and make sure you'll have that convenience (maybe we got a weird room). Having stayed at four similar hotels in the neighborhood, this is a decent value but not the best I've experienced. If you really prioritize having a door between the bedroom and the sitting room/desk, then this is one of your best options in this part of the city.

    The staff was nice and professional, but… The hotel is outdated and needs renovation. The beds smelled of mold and sank when I laid on them. Expect to pay 90 dollars a night to park your car. You may find a parking lot at a few dollars less, but there is fine print and rules at those locations. The walk to one of those parking lots is not worth it as you may be assaulted or get rained on. The view of the city was the top of a building next door.

    Stayed for valentine’s night and it featured a beautiful view of the city. A short walk to the lake or river walk which is great because they are in opposite directions. When we arrived one our lamps was out. The staff handled it immediately. The restaurant was lovely with an even better view of the city than our room. The only thing I didn’t like was the waiters in the restaurant made us wait 45 mins before taking out

    Slow draining tub which backed up when shower was running. Leak and the cold water on the faucet. The noise at 4am will slamming doors, knocking on doors and people that were talking. Staff was extremely attentive for what they could control. Also was left wishing for a spa.

    The location was amazing. My whole party felt like we were in the middle of everything. We walked to The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park (with the Bean), and the river. We were on the 5th floor which was not really high, but when I booked it did tell me that was the room I was booking. The staff from the front desk to the doormen were so friendly. The hotel was very clean and consistent. I've been to hotels in big cities where the lobby does not match the vibe or cleanliness of the room. The Omni completely exceeded all of our expectations. I loved the suite. I was traveling with two other adults and we had enough room for all of our stuff. There really was not a whole lot I did not like. While the room was nicely renovated, some of the fixtures in the bathroom seemed old.

They placed us on the 25th floor with a beautiful view. Only recommendation I have is listing the time frame request for your vehicle to 60 minutes. There were a lot of people growing frustrated waiting for their vehicles.

    The hotel and our room as a whole was very clean and staff were extremely accommodating when our room wasn't quite ready when we got there. There is a secure area to put your luggage in while you kill time until your room is ready. My biggest complaint is this is one more hotel downtown that states there is a pool and hot tub but upon asking about hours we were told there is no pool or hot tub. Everything else about our stay was excellent.

    The bartender made me hot totties that were better than my grandma use to make. Really saw what I needed and made it to perfection. Warmed my heart. The greeter for breakfast was amazing as well as the waitress and even the guy with the juice and water. Each person mentioned when above the normal hospitality. Also there two ladies at the desk one with braids and one with I believe a ponytail when I checked in; they were great to me and from what I saw other people as well. There was some things that occurred that would’ve ruined the night but the staff mentioned changed the outcome.

    We were all set to use the pool at the Omni in Chicago. Me and my wife and my two daughters and there was no pool. Everything said there was a pool hot tub. Very disappointed then when we were leaving if my daughter didn't catch it I wouldn't have caught it. We looked at our checkout bill and they were charging us another $100 each $25 a day plus some taxes and when I asked what the destination charge was the attendant said it's like a resort tax. I replied. How can you be a resort without a hot tub or a pool? They took the charge off. I'm used to staying at the Omni in Indianapolis this is not that

    The service here is unsurpassed. The staff have made this experience so memorable. They bought a chocolate cake to the room for my daughter’s birthday. The room is spacious. The beds are luxurious. The towels are huge. Everything about this stay has me feeling like I’m living a rich lifestyle. I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for our weekend getaway. It is also very conveniently located and an uber or cab to the other side of town where the theater is was around $14.00 which isn’t bad at all.

    we just stayed at the Kimpton and it was fine. the rooms were clean but a lot if the fixtures (lamps, desks, table) were a little run down. What was MOST infuriating was when when we checked out they told us that there was a $35 daily amenities fee tacked onto our bill. PLEASE NOTE there were ZERO amenities. when I asked the person at the front desk what that included he said coffee and the gym. Mind you I NEVER even knew there was coffee available, when we checked in NOBODY told us that. I even asked for a water bottle one day and they informed me that they only give them at check in. More Importantly THERE WAS NO GYM!!! you could go to the gym down the street, however it was pouring rain every day we were in Los Angeles!!!! Just be transparent in your rates, there is NOTHING more infuriating than hotels sneaking an extra BS cost onto the already high enough cost because they want to squeeze few more dollars out of you. Amenities fees are for hotels that OFFER amenities!!!

    Lovely hotel, great staff and a fantastic location. We paid for a room that, supposedly, had a view of Michigan Avenue. However, there was a huge utilities enclosure in front of the window and one could not see the avenue, not even standing on a chair. We felt deceived.     Stayed here as I was in town for a conference. Decent place but some of it seemed a little dated (couches in the rooms for example and furniture in lobby).     Staff was very nice and accommodating. I was disappointed to see the room in the state it was in - had nothing to do with cleanliness but with upkeep. One of the lampshades was busted in several places, tons of cracked tiles in the bathroom floor, stains on the couch.     It has everything close by, you don’t need a car if you are just walking in the magnificent mile and if you’re going to see something outside the tourist area, you can take the subway just 2 blocks away from there. Love it in there!

    I love this hotel. However, the mold and icy residue at the base of the toilet in my bathroom made me sick. I encourage the hotel to conduct a deep cleaning of their bathrooms, especially the often overlooked areas.

    The only downside was the housekeeping. The maids only made the bed but didn’t do a thorough job of cleaning the room each day, which was a little disappointing. Overall, I’d still recommend the Omni Chicago for its great location and comfort, but I hope the housekeeping service improves to match the high standards of the rest of the hotel.

    OK Why you should stay here? No need for a car, excellent amenities, Marion is the best checking you in and next to Harry Potter if that’s your thing!     Much better stay than last time - which was met with rude and lazy staff. (Walked into new room with hair in sink, no toilet paper. Called for 4 hours only to be told to to use the public restroom. Went to desk and spoke directly to "manager" insisting that he provide it. Told me "When we get to it we get to it." I was LIVID, whereupon he promised a partial refund in 2-3 days. Received nothing.) Why did I stay here again? Last minute reservation and ideal to location to hospital I needed to go.) If Omni is like this normally, I'd stay again.

    We stayed here for a bachelorette trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. Every day there was a fun surprise waiting in the lobby, whether it was ice cream, champagne, or another thoughtful treat which made our stay feel extra special. The property itself was clean, stylish, and perfect for our group. On top of that, the price was very reasonable for the quality and service we received.     The staff at the Omni hotel were very professional and kind. They truly exceeded expectations with their generosity. They surprised my daughter with a birthday treat which was so unexpected because we didn't put this information on the reservation. The concierge simply heard us mention it when heading out one morning. This will be the first place we look to book again on our next visit to Chicago.

    The room itself was very nice. I got the corner room, so the view was amazing. It's a little smaller to my liking. It looks brand new ish, the decor looks nice but there are some aspects that looks very dated. The shower water pressure was very low, that's one of the cons. Room is definitely not sound proofed. I can hear people talking. Check in and out were very smooth and easy. I wish we can extend our stay but we were told it was fully booked. Though strange enough we can still book from Expedia BUT it says the hotel requires at least 2 nights. All in all it was great experience and a great stay. The people were definitely the highlights.

    I loved that the hotel was right on the Mag Mile. It was also next to the new Harry Potter Store! It is close to the Chicago Red Line and the Riverwalk! The suite we had was very humid and the sheets were kinda damp but it wasnt too bad. Plus, there were a few rusty parts to the room and the trim/wall paint was chipping. I noticed the curtains were kinda of ragged also. The sofa and chairs were oldschool and itchy but we didnt spend much time in the hotels other than sleeping so I didnt mind too much. Easy to find and valet was great!

    The room was really nice - I wish I'd known the couch pulled out because I would have changed room types to a kind size bed instead of two doubles. The staff was friendly. They did forget to clean our room one day, but brought towels quickly when asked. We didn't get the VIP access credit which would have been nice because we spent money in the bar. Overall I would highly recommend it. (One other note - if you see online it has a pool, the pool is closed for good, but it does have a Harry Potter store downstairs and offers discounts there).

    The location of the hotel was great and the bell and front door staff were so kind. However, we probably won’t stay here again for a few reasons. 1) there were too few people working the front desk so it was incredibly slow; 2) the wall are paper thin so we heard everything next door. Didn’t help that our neighbors were up playing music and banging on doors until 2-4am (we did call the front when they were banging at 4am and the hotel handled it quickly); 3) they didn’t have our room for us when we got there even though we had paid. I am not sure what the mix up was but we eventually got it after much back and for. They had to take it from another guest who was checking in later so not sure what happened with that guest; 4) we got a late checkout (which was great) but had to get our keys adjust 3 times and even then we couldn’t get into the room when we were trying to leave. Security had to eventually let us in. 5) takes a while to go up/down the 2 elevators when it’s busy (they eventually opened up service elevator since the wait was so long one of these times)

Bathtub could use attention (hard water stains down to drain - from drip? - & mildew at overflow). Fabric sofa seemed dated.     The hotel staff were great, it was a few things we didn’t like and that was we asked for extra towels and blankets and asked for them not to come into our room until we got back. When we had come back the towels and things were in the room after we asked them not to go into the room and they confirmed they wouldn’t. The other issue was the towels that were delivered were dirty and had makeup on them once we unfolded them. Other than those few issues it’s a nice hotel for a quick trip/get away.

    This was our fourth stay at the Omni Magnificent Mile which shows we really like it. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff could not be better.     I booked 2 rooms for this last weekend. Upon arrival staff were offering glasses of champagne and we not offered a glass. The disposable coffee cups in my room had coffee stains in them.     Check in is at 4 pm which I didn’t realize, I thought it was 3 pm. When we attempted to check in at 2:45 pm I was told I was too early and could leave my luggage and go somewhere until the room was ready. I asked where the restaurant/bar was so we could get a drink and have a snack. I was told they didn’t open until 5 pm. So there wasn’t really a place to comfortably wait for check in time. When we got into the room, it was nice and comfortable. Pretty quiet which was nice. We wanted room service for breakfast and the hotel doesn’t bring the food up to you, you have to go down and get it, which was annoying. Overall, the room was nice but the hotel doesn’t seem geared for guests staying for pleasure and seems more for the business traveler. It was ok, but I won’t stay here again.

They did address a slow running bathtub quickly. My VIP reward was not honored but I'll take that up with Expedia. Also, beware the dreaded destination fee. Not sure why that can't be absorbed into the hotel cost.

    Loved this hotel, Daniel at front desk was awesome great customer service!! everything is close by, restaurants, shopping , bars. If you drive parking is expensive, but thats normal everywhere downtown Chicago

    Everything was perfect, my wife and I had a very nice holiday weekend at this hotel. The staff was very nice, friendly and eager to help. Mr. Drake did everything possible to help us enjoy our stay. Even made a call to make a reservation to a very popular restaurant on our behalf. Really appreciated everything.

    Perfect location centrally located on the Mag Mile. Staff really made us feel welcome and appreciated. Room was small and a bit dated and heat really only heated living room not bedroom but overall worth the price and the staff is truly exceptional.

    I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to do so here. We arrived to the hotel later in the evening, 3 adults and two teenagers, exhausted after a day of traveling. We had two adjoining rooms booked - one king, and one with two queens for 3 people. When we checked in, we were given keys to adjoining rooms that were already occupied! You can imagine our shock when we opened the doors and saw other guests’ items. Fortunately, the other guests didn’t appear to be in the rooms at the time, so we quickly shut the doors and left. Then, it took forever to figure out rooms for us. They ended up not adjoining and not the bed configuration we reserved. (Three people in a king room with no sofa bed would not work.) When we requested a rollaway bed for the third person in the King room, it took over an hour for one to arrive - only to see it had no bedding and was just parked in the hall with no set up. This only added to the exhaustion and frustration. When we tried to call the front desk, the telephone in one of the rooms didn’t work. The bathrooms are desperately in need of an update. It was just an overall very bad experience right before Christmas. I certainly expected more from an Omni. The one bright spot was Sunday breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Food was fantastic and service was excellent. The location is also ideal. But, unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

    Hotel is is good condition, but we had a few issues. First, their website advertised a seld parking option for around $60 and valet for $80, at check-in i was told it was valet only. Second, the rooms are very loud, we had a corner suite and had families on both sides of our room, they may have as well been in our room, no sound proofing what so ever.

    Loved how spacious the room was. Bed was comfortable, size and ease of using the TV (which isn’t always the case in hotels). All nice. Couch wasn’t the best, but that was really the only negative. Great deal on the room. Would definitely go there again!

    We love staying at the Omni when we are in Chicago. The location is great the staff is always friendly and helpful. We travel with our dog and he is always Welcome. My only complaint is the fitness center needs some updates along with the hotel. Things are a little worn down

    My stay at the Omni was fantastic!! The location is walking distance to many shops and restaurants.. the Corner rooms view was so dope.. the shower pressure on point and the bed was very comfortable.. I also used my credit towards breakfast and that was good as well.. overall my stay was great and I would stay again!!

    This was a very nice hotel. The location was great to be able to walk Michigan Ave and sightsee around Chicago. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Every staff member would always smile and say hello and make sure that everything was going well with the stay. The beds were extremely comfortable.

    Very nice, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Only issues were that we could not check in until after 6pm and the bar is only open until 10pm and 9pm on Sundays. Other 4-star hotels we’ve stayed in on the Mile have bars open until 11 or 12.

    Staying at the Omni Chicago the weekend before Christmas was just magical. The decorations were beautiful and our family of 5 really enjoyed our time in the city. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating—from the valet, to the bell hop, to the individuals at the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was so friendly and kind. Our only notes are that the room could use a little cosmetic touch ups, and the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, which left the room humid after showers. Otherwise, would definitely recommend, especially for families.
