Hampton Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach

The exceptional service continued throughout our stay when they graciously allowed us a later check-out so we could enjoy one more morning swim before heading home. Their kindness and flexibility truly made a difference. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of options for both adults and young children. Everything was fresh, well-stocked, and offered something for everyone. We greatly appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail from the entire team. We will definitely be returning in the future and will happily recommend Hampton Inn & Suites to our friends and family!

The Hampton Inn at Clearwater Beach is very clean and updated. Small private beach. Rooftop restaurant and bar that was excellent. Onsite parking garage. Breakfast included. Beautiful location for sunsets and watching boats. Highly recommend. Price was very good.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The continental breakfast in the morning was amazing. The only thing we didn’t like is the music was a little loud outside our balcony, and we did have a couple areas of black mold in our room. Our room seem damp the whole time we were there.

The room, staff, breakfast, patio, band and bar were all amazing. I’ll definitely recommend and go back again and again.

Very happy with our stay here

Location is nice, breakfast is decent. The hotel allows pets but be aware that if your dog barks you’ll get a call from the service desk every single time. We brought along our coton, 11 lb dog, she’s not a yapper, only barks when she hears noises on the hallways but we got a call from the front desk saying our dog is barking again and one time our dog is not even in the hotel as my husband took her to the dog park across the bridge we still got a call saying she’s barking! It was aggravating as they kept calling our room and my phone to say the dog is barking, I would understand if she kept barking at night or early morning when people are asleep but it wasn’t even that. So don’t go there if you have a dog. They won’t treat you nice!

Pool was great! Beach was great and easily accessible. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Staff was wonderful. Tony at front desk stood out as being extremely patient and helpful. Food at hotel, breakfast and purchased items from hotel restaurants, including drinks was very good. We rented a car to drive a little outside of Clearwater, but had such a relaxing and comfortable stay at the hotel, that the car never even left the parking lot. It was in a great location and within walkable distance of many stores, attractions and pier. That we had to leave after only 4 days, Back to work.

Hotel was nice. The food at the bistro was really good, but Service was a little bit slow and lacking.

This was our first time here and we WILL be back. Not only was it perfect for our kids (5 and 6) it would be perfect for just us adults. The continental breakfast is perfect to get your day started and had plenty of options. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!

Everything was clean and fine. All the staff helping and happy to be there. Especially Theresa from breakfast always happy to help and Tony from front desk proactive to help me and my family. We’ll be back soon!

Ran out of chairs and umbrellas

Wonderful all inclusive resort to stay at. Everything from pool to your own beach to eateries and bars right all within. If you needed extra, there was a market right across the street and a couple of souvenir shops too. My room had a balcony of the gulf where I could sit at night and relax

Unfortunately we did not have hot water for 2 days. When inquired about this they said they would resolve right away and they did. The disappointing part is that they knew there was an issue and was waiting for a part. This should have been disclosed at check in. Recommendations from a Hilton Honors customer: The hotel should offer guest access to beach chairs/ umbrellas at no cost like other hotels in the area do. Need to offer better pillows Breakfast could use some alternative options. The same thing gets old for a 5+ day stay.

The restaurant had great food. All of the staff throughout the hotel were great. The location is great, you can walk to everything, including Pier 60, shopping, stores and dining. The room was a great size to spread out. It was nice having a fridge and microwave so that we could store & heat leftovers. We would go back.

Very clean, employees were very nice. The shower water did not work properly Kept shutting on and off. The last day of my trip there was no water to shower. Also, fees for the beach chairs should have been included in the stay, Breakfast was just ok.

This was one of the best hotels me and my family have ever been to! The breakfast was great, the views were incredible the staff was SO nice. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel and staff!

Every day they have something different. The property is beautiful!!!!! And the room was really nice but I ask like 2 months ahead for a beach view and they didn't give me one 😐 that's the only thing I didn't like.

Overall it was a great location. The pool and beach were really nice, but I don’t think you should have to pay to use the chairs on the beach when you’re already paying quite a bit to stay on the beach. They should be included. The hotel itself was clean, but the floor in our room seemed rather dirty. Our socks were black when wearing them in the room. The toilet would make a gurgling sound sometimes in the middle of the night and the a/c would make clicking noises throughout the night at times. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff were really nice. Great views of the water from our room facing the beach, but didn’t expect to have a big red roof blocking our view of the pool and beach. When outside, there is a resort a couple hotels down that plays loud music, but with the balcony doors closed it was pretty quiet.

The room was decent. Breakfast was ok. Pool was small and over crowded. Beach also small and over crowded. Had to pay to use a beach chair everyday and there is no area where you can just lay a beach towel to avoid paying. We arrived at 4pm and they charged us to utilize a beach chair/umbrella $20/day. Very noisy. Also had to pay for parking $25/day. Greg at reception was amazing and helpful. I appreciate you Greg!

Everything was great and staff are wonderful. Very lively and entertaining. I only have one frustrating issue. We stayed in a studio on 15th floor and the nightstand has outlets and charger ports built in and no other outlets on that side of room. Well it’s so old that it doesn’t hold charger boxes and usb doesn’t work. I recommend bringing tape to hold it in. I wedged something underneath to hold the plug in. All night I heard the stupid chimes of charging and not charging. One mornings my phone was dead. Really sucks when you like to read a book downloaded on your phone at the beach. I had to move my plug to the other side of room. I would definitely stay again, just will make sure I bring good tape to hold it down. Hopefully other rooms don’t have that issue.

The property is well maintained & rooms are very clean & welcoming. Beds are comfy. Make sure to try the continental breakfast bar each morning. Pool cabanas are a plus to have a little bit of shade and the servers are excellent. The rooftop bar is a must! The service is excellent, food is great and you cannot get a better sunset view. The staff at this location is wonderful. They go above and beyond and the cleanliness of the property is wonderful. Also want to recognize the security taken to keep you safe inside and around the property. The security measures that they provide make you feel extra safe during your stay. Pool towels are provided. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash is provided in each shower. The city view balconies are fantastic!

This hotel was probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I am already planning another stay. Everything was beautiful.

This was a quick one night stop for us. The hotel was excellent, clean and exactly as pictured. Delicious included breakfast! Fantastic front desk service and a great location. Beautiful small beach on a little inlet, perfect for quiet relaxation or small kids to enjoy

No hot water no matter what time of the day, construction going on in the room right next to us (my 6m old was sleeping and was awaken by it for days in a row), breakfast was meh, the mini fridge door was barely holding on and keeping things cold, thermostat kept going back to heat, toilet has low water pressure which was concerning how high up we were (10th floor).

Tony from the front desk was a benefit to our stay for everything. The parking garage attendant everyday made conversation with everyone coming in and out walking or driving and was a lot nicer and helpful than a camera. Housekeeping on the 9th floor asked us first day what we needed and had reg coffee filled everyday. All the balconies have full sunlight all day. Could have sat on balcony and tanned everyday while viewing the most gorgeous view of water. One thing I would update is the phone charging between the beds. The entire set up needs an update. I'm actually just talking about the alarm clock. The connections are loose.

Ok, I was extremely happy with my stay. I normally stay at 4 or 5 star hotels, but I had my 8 year old grandson with me and had already made him stay with me at another 5 star resort. He finds them to be a bit too formal so I wanted to give him a break. This place exceeded my expectations. The hotel is in a prime location with a cool mini golf and gelato and more just across the street, and oh my - a beautiful beach. Parking was super easy. The room was really spacious and clean. The breakfast (included!) was unbeatable! The pool was convenient, with food and bar service, and in the background we had live music by excellent talent all day long. The staff were the cherry on top! So nice, funny and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!!

Greg at the front desk was amazing. So helpful with how to use the Jolly Trolly, helpful in checking into our rooms and so friendly every day. I guess the price. But it was less than the Hilton.

The ocean was visible from my room, I loved getting up each morning, going out on my balcony and looking at the ocean. My room was huge and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, they ran out of food the second morning.

I liked the location of the hotel, the facilities, and the breakfast. What I didn't like about the hotel was that the room was dirty. If you ran your hand across the floor, it would turn black. There was old cereal on the floor. They only changed the bed sheets and the towels.

Hot tub is very small for that size hotel as is the pool. Rented a cabana on the beach and were not told if we took our towels off the chairs our cabana would be take. Paid for a cabana we didn't get to use because someome took pur towels off the chair. Good location.

Breakfast was almost the same every morning. Could have used a little variety. Our main housekeeper was awesome but the day Sandra was out the fill in housekeeper didn’t clean the bathroom very well.

The small plates were perfect and so were the cocktails. The servers were wonderful. Again the views were so nice. This was such a nice getaway! All staff was friendly and helpful! The gym was not that good though- very small and closet- like. Other than that, this Hampton Inn was terrific!

The property was clean and well maintained. It is located right on a private beach which is super nice. You do have pay for beach chairs $10/chair each day. Go early as they fill up fast. Breakfast was good with many options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was when we arrived early in property we were told Hilton has a new policy and we were charged to store our bags until our room was ready. This seems like a common courtesy for a guest staying multiple nights in the hotel.

We love this place. I prefer a bathtub so if this is you as well I would specifically ask for this. They have rooms with them unfortunately ours did not have one. Our room did not come with luggage racks but they are available upon request. The beds are very firm. We did not inquire whether or not this was uniform. I prefer one that is softer. Everything was not perfect but would indeed stay here again

The amenities in the room could have been better. There was a sofa bed but no sheets/blankets/pillows were available for it. Had to request that. One tiny bar of soap in the suite when there were 3 of us using the room. Only one trashcan in our huge room that I had to keep emptying and throwing away down the hall. No creamer and sugar supplied with the coffee maker... Not terrible stuff but need to provide more inside the room. Especially in a suite where multiple people are staying.

We loved the Hampton Inn! The parking was very easy and convenient. Breakfast had plenty of options. The rooms were specious, clean, and updated (the pillows are very soft/flat though). The pool was very warm and very convenient to the beach. The beach is beautiful with lots of shells. We loved the live music at the beach/pool daily - nice background, not too loud. The 6th floor roof restaurant was decent and had a gorgeous sunset view as well as some lawn games which was nice for the kids. A market, mini golf, ice cream shop, and liquor store are conveniently located across the street. Would definitely stay again!

Staff support was lacking. Don't know where customer service has gone...really don't make you feel welcome or taken care of. Random charges that are not included when you book the room. Parking is extra, which they don't tell you until you get there and fees on top of fees.

The price was compatible with the other hotels on the beach. We loved that the hotel had its own private beach and the public beach was in walking distance, which we did 3x. The pool bar makes fabulous drinks! The pool was clean. The lobby, breakfast area and our room was very clean and updated. The parking price was less than most of the hotels in the area AND it was in a parking garage. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Hampton. Our view of the private beach was amazing. The breakfast buffet was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had: omelet, roasted red potatoes, oatmeal, strawberry kiwi infused water wow! Beds were comfortable and rooms were large. Makeup remover wipes, and natural body lotion were a nice touch. Location was amazing with lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Will definitely stay there on our next visit.

Location & room was big and clean

I traveled with my two kids, age 7 & 4, and they enjoyed everything on their first trip to a different state! The room was clean & large and thank goodness since we traveled during FL’s “winter” week. The kids loved making their own waffles for breakfast and enjoyed the hot cocoa in the lobby. Staff were great! We had regular chats with the front desk staff and on our last day we were welcomed in the office to visit with their rescue turtles. Shout out to the bar staff who supplied me with a stiff drink and extra utensils when I needed both to survive the cold day with little kids. We also enjoyed the pool & hot tub. They were clean & warm. The hot tub was this mom’s saving grace! I’d happily return to enjoy the outside bar & patio on another trip as it was mostly closed due to severe weather. The only request I would make is for the grounds staff to wait until guests aren’t present in the hot tub to clear sand from the sidewalks. Overall, this was a great hotel experience. Next time we just need warmth & sun to enjoy it fully.

Tv stopped working mid way through our stay and then had to play 10 dollars per chair on the beach per day and that there was a ton of construction going on at the hotel but other than that it was not the worst place to stay but definitely not worth the money they asking for

The hotel is obviously remodeled. The shower in the bathtub is old style. Room clean, view ok, but price is 40% too high for the season and given ongoing renovation. Breakfast doesn't even offer a meat. Puny!

The room was big and the views were amazing. Good breakfast and plenty of options. They charge 25 per day for parking and is easily accessible if needed during the stay. The hotel is next to few bars that play music till late night, do expect some disturbance if you are a light sleeper. Lots of good restaurants near by and is a great place for families. Will definitely stay next time.

Everything was lovely but the service at the Terrace Bar was superb. Very accommodating and friendly. I would stay here again just for that.

Room is large and very clean, staff helpful and friendly,, breakfast is definitely a nice addition and plentiful with a variety of options. The 6th floor bistro is awesome… My favorite place to stay in Clearwater! You’re ON the beach 🏖️ with a gorgeous pool, next door at the Dolphin adds to your stay w beach staff spoiling you with drinks and food all day and fabulous restaurant for any meal.

The pizza was a great surprise as well.

The hotel is under construction. Gigantic beeping machinery hangs over the pool area and starts at 7am even on Sundays. You can’t even have a conversation it’s so noisy, powered by a large generator. The exterior is being painted. Hello? Ladders and scaffolding!! Every morning I was woken up by the beep beep beep every single time the machine was used. In addition, DO NOT stay on the 7th floor. This is where the hotel washes the laundry. The laundry is right across from the guest rooms and the staff is on spring break as they wash and fold. It’s a total party in the laundry area starting bright and early. If you want to rest and relax this is not the place for you. Also $25 a day to park your car and $10 a day for a chair on their private beach. Stay somewhere else.

The property was very clean and our room was updated with a very spacious and nice bath. We were in a corner room with beautiful views. The staff was helpful and pleasant. However, the $25 per day parking fee was disappointing as were the extra fees for beach chairs. There were not many healthy choices at breakfast which was unfortunate but acceptable as we just had coffee outside on the covered patio area. It is centrally located and close to restaurants. Our biggest complaint was the nighttime noise. During both nights of our stay we were unable to sleep due to loud music which seemed to be coming from the hotel next door. The music continued until well after midnight which I think is unacceptable considering how close all the hotels are to each other. The loud music was so disturbing and loud that even noise cancelling ear buds did not help us get to sleep. We will definitely return to the area but will find a quieter hotel next time.

The location of this hotel is perfect, out of the hustle of Clearwater but walking distance to everything. Pool and hot tub right off the private beach, the restaurant right on the beach will serve you food or beverages right to your beach or pool chair. Our room was clean, the elevators were fast, the 6th floor restaurant and terrace were perfect for watching the sunset and letting our kids burn some energy after breakfast each morning. The staff was friendly, we had an amazing vacation!

Clean room, super friendly staff throughout the establishment, Tony at the front desk was fabulous, Mark at the beach was helpful and informative, daily breakfast was decent, room with a balcony overlooking the beach was amazing, pool was clean and plenty of seating, entertainment was good and Evys rooftop restaurant had great wood fired pizza and reasonably priced, walking distance to many establishments.

The room was very spacious for a 2 queen bed suite . The view was fantastic overlooking SandKey beach and the Gulf . The small private beach was just enough and the pool was sparkling and ready for our swim . Easy out with the attached parking garage. We will back !

We really had a great experience at Hampton inn , All staff are super friendly specially Greg at the front desk , room is clean and breakfast was good , the best option in this hotel is the private beach which is suitable for families with kids , the water is calm and warm where kids can swim safely ,in addition you can have an option for chairs and umbrella rental with a bar that serves drinks and foods

Hotel was clean, close to things to due

The property was amazing. All staff members were extremely friendly. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the lady worker in the area was excellent keeping stocked and clean area. The terrace was simply breath-taking with views and delicious food. The private beach area was stunning and the lady workers on the beach were awesome at bringing our food and drinks, very attentive at making sure we always had ice cold drinking water. The parking and beach umbrellas were really priced great, the best prices in the area. I will be returning to this magnificent place next year. To whoever gets to read this review look no further this place is a 5 of 5 star.

Very Nice and Clean Hotel

The ocean and pool views from our room were fantastic! Saw many dolphins swimming by and even saw a stingray. Loved having access to the private beach and a short 10 minute walk to the public beach to enjoy the waves. You can’t beat the location with access to beach, shops and restaurants including a great gelato shop across the street. The hotel looked newly renovated - had great free breakfast options and super comfortable bed. Highly reccomend!

Great stay! Loved the location to the beach, pool, food and shopping! Pizza at the restaurant was one of the best pizzas(hot honey pizza) we had!

For improvement: the beds were ok, noisy ! Our neighbors smoked pot frequently, the hall smelled all the time, they should have been removed! Overall, we would come back due to the location and pricing!

This was our first visit to Clearwater and our group included a toddler, 2 preteens, and my elderly disabled parent. Tony provided top notch service from check-in to check out. The entire staff was so attentive to all of our needs and made us feel so welcome. They even purchased a special bath mat for my mom and stored her wheelchair for the rental company. Rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was excellent, fresh coffee all day, hotel location was perfect (convenience store right across the street), free jolly trolley transportation, nice pool and calm beach. Area was walkable and felt so safe. It is hands down the best place to stay for families.

The direct access to the public beach was the best thing about this property.

Some little negative things in the room. Flimsy faucet, chest of drawers located in the middle of the room next to the desk and was unsecure. It tipped over couple of times while opened lower drawer. With kids it's very dangerous. Front desk promissed to send over a maintanance guy, but didn't.

The beach was awesome to be able just to walk straight out to the ocean was amazing. The pool was very clean and relaxing.

we have stayed here before and came back again. It is a good value based on the location in a vacation area. we like the fact that it has a private beach with waitress service and lounge, chairs and umbrellas to rent in a reasonable price just 10 steps from the hotel and 200 steps to the waters edge. The only negative is that the room we had which was a queen bed only had outlets on one nightstand on one side of the bed. So trying to reach my CPAP cord to the other side of the bed was a little annoying. But it was fine. The room had a fridge and a microwave and two sinks in the bathroom. The only other negative was it took about 15 minutes to get hot water for the shower or for the sink. We do like this place because of the location and the private beach. We will be back for a third time.

We Loved to stay there

Property was nice. Room with balcony/beach view was nice. Everyone was always helpful during my stay. The days I went to the pool it was clean aside from some sand from people not washing off coming from the beach. Candice was a doll with taking orders by the beach/pool area each time.

The room was great, the view was great, but even after paying to stay at the hotel, they would not allow you to bring your own snacks and drinks to the beach. Purchase food and drinks from them or drink the salt water lol

Clean hotel. Location is good. The water has some seaweed but we kind of expected that since it was the Clearwater pass side, but it comes and goes so one hour it’s there, the next, it’s gone. The employees do take it up from the beach right away which was appreciated. Walk to the main beach was fine. View was awesome. Good food.

Very dirty

Location was adequate, property was clean, friendly staff. Beach area is small and you are almost forced to have to pay to rent the properties lawn chairs (there is no space to put your own.) The rooms are not quiet, you can hear every door close and the walls are also very thin. Shower was moldy and entire bathroom could use updating. The patio is small, barely fits two plastic chairs. Overall, just kind of “meh.” Wouldn’t stay here again.

This property was more than what we asked for. Right on the beach with chairs to rent, waitress service, a nice pool, snack area. The staff was amazing and friendly! The buffet breakfast each morning was always hot and fully stocked! Location was I bit far from main Clearwater area but if you like quiet, this is the place for you!

Would suggest to have a broom in room. Otherwise it was one of my best stay.

The safe and shower falceet must be fixed on the first day

The pool was spacious and very clean, as was the hot tub. The private beach area was a plus. It was a nice alternative to walking to the main beach. There was also live music every day at Cabana’s next-door. The breakfast offered every morning until 10 AM was surprisingly very good with quite a bit of variety. Every morning there were hot food items, such as omelettes, a breakfast meat, waffles, French toast. There was also oatmeal, cereals, and pastries. Probably the best “free” hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. One suggestion I have to make the stay better would be to offer a shuttle to the main beach. I think this would be a great accommodation for guests. It’s only about a 10-15 minute walk, but when it is very hot and we were carrying things, it seemed like a hike. Overall, we will definitely stay here again.

Very clean, everyone was friendly close to everything however you still have the ability to relax and unwind. There is only 7 foot clearance in the garage so if you have a truck like us, there was only about two maybe 3 inches to spare, but we did fit thankfully. We will definitely consider staying there again in the future!

The Hampton Inn is a great place to stay having all the amenities we needed. Staff was friendly and they were in top of keeping the place managed properly. The breakfast was plentiful and the beach was very nice to soak in throughout the day..
