This hotel is not what I expected and I knew it the moment I drove up when I only saw 2 cars in the parking lot. The old metal staircase leading up to the 2nd floor was dirty in every corner. I walked into the room and my shoes stuck to the floor everywhere that I walked. There was a brown stain on the chair next to the bed that I noticed right away. The bedside tables were visibly dirty with some sort of sticky substance, probably the same sticky substance that was on the floor. There was a bright blue Ethernet cord coming out of a large hole in the ceiling. The outside noise of the traffic was so loud because of the large gap on the bottom of the hotel door. The front desk said someone would only be there until 11pm. I was traveling alone and I got that sick feeling and did not feel safe at all. I called Hotels.com and they were unable to do anything because the hotel manager refused to give me a refund. There is no reason to book with hotels.com if they can’t help when things like this happen. I lost over $300 and went on my own to book with Hilton. Never again!!

Nothing I am in my 50's. My husband of 40 years passed away last year. I reconnected with a guy that I went to school with. We had just come back from Anderson and we wanted to continue our night. We both live in Walhalla. My 16 year old granddaughter and my 3 adult sons still live with me. My boyfriend and I decided to take things a little further so instead of going back to my house, we decided to get a room for the night. I went on the Internet and booked a room at your facility. When we got there to check in the receptionist would not let us. He said because we were local that we could not stay there. I have never heard of any Hotel/Motel not let adults stay because they are locals. It was late and my boyfriend and I had to turn around and go back to Anderson to get a room. All the other places in Clemson had no vacancy. I will not be staying at another Days Inn and I will not recommend it to anyone else.

Gentleman at the front was very nice and understanding, but the room was a complete disaster. The pictures that show on their website are far from what the rooms actually look like. Bathroom could not be more disgusting with paint peeling from the wall. Also, when I first walked in the door of the room, I was greeted by what I believe to be stink bugs on the wall. Would never stay here, even if it was the last hotel in South Carolina. Also, their sister hotel across the way being the Holiday Inn express, is much nicer, but the manager is extremely rude and ignorant. Wouldn’t stay there based upon the lack of hospitality. Plenty of places to stay in Clemson these two places should not be on your list.

Where do I start? The front door didn’t fit the frame, the shower was dirty and water was either scalding or freezing, the hairdryer didn’t work, most of the outlet covers didn’t fit and revealed large holes in the wall, I didn’t want to touch anything for fear it would break or fall off in my hand. It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed.

The room appeared ok at first… the gap around the door was crazy, the bathroom was GROSS! The back of the door was very dirty, paint missing. It looked like they found a door at the bump and put it up. The seams between the floor and tub appeared to be wood or dirt, but the worse part was the black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. In the morning my clothes felt damp and smelled funny. It was so very disappointing.

You can tell this motel has been around for a long time. It has been used and probably a bit abused. It was clean enough, but it could use a lot of TLC. The tub dripped all night long and the shower curtain bar was held up by a mini shampoo bottle to keep it from falling off the wall. The AC worked in our room but oscillated between freezing cold air and just air while the room stayed a mediocre temperature. It is close to campus, and is good enough for just one night, but I would look elsewhere for an extended stay.

If you’re a local don’t try and stay here in the event of an emergency. Due to the incoming bad weather I packed up my girls and decided to stay here. Made my reservation on line and off we went. When I went to check in I was told sorry, can’t give you a room because you’re a local. I explain that I had two young children with me and needed a room for the night because of the incoming bad weather. This man didn’t want to hear it. He absolutely refused to us. I understand people trash rooms, but I’m a 40yr old man with two kids. I’m not there to party, I’m there to ride out a bad storm.

Arrived at 10:30pm and departed before 8:30am. The HVAC did not work properly and the room was pretty stuffy so that did not help with sleeping. It kept turning off and on all night long. Went to shower in the morning and the shower would not turn on. Got a room key from the front desk to shower in another room and that room was locked and they had no other rooms available. They offered a room that someone JUST checked out of for us to shower but no one was there to clean it so NO THANK YOU! My son and I had to go to his Clemson tour without showering and felt disgusting all day. TERRIBLE service and it’s funny because it’s happened 3 times in the past 3 days trying to get a room from different places. Assuming and then just canceling everything without a call or notification.

Arrived at 630pm no rooms were clean. Host said it would be a few minutes to clean one. 5 minutes later, the room was “ready”. When I pulled back covers, there was dirt, hair, and lint. When I tried to turn on heat, I saw there was mold all over the exhaust. Door frame to outside has no seal. It was 28 degrees. Guest next door had domestic dispute causing me to leave immediately and asking desk to call 911. I fault the web site more than the hotel. They wanted me to stay the night and they would “try” to get me a refund and cancel next night’s reservation. Still waiting to see refunds for either night. Room tried to be updated, but lack of insulation/seals, cleanliness of linens, and shifty clientele will never bring me back to this chain.

This place is a total dump. They take advantage of Clemson football fans by charging ridiculous amounts for a basic run down motel. The hotel is all around average. There have been some updates that do make the rooms look good; however, don't look too close or you will see imperfections. The bathroom is in great need of updating as the tub is old and yellowed and the pipes sing to you as you shower. There was a "computer glitch" and they almost gave our room away after one night, but a phone call got it settled. The bed is on the very firm side and you can feel a spring or two depending on how you laid in the bed.

A terrific welcome: staff was very friendly & personable; easy check-in. Property exterior was clean & well-kept. Hotel is close to restaurants, etc. I can only speak to the downstairs corner unit, which had multiple problems. Fridge wasn't working, which might have been a new issue, but in addition, the front door was warped & didn't close flush against the doorframe. There were large spaces on side/bottom so dirt kept blowing in & was all over the floor when I entered. I was able to stuff a towel in the cracks for the night. The interior lock was coming off its stripped screws, & the bathroom hand towel rack was improperly attached & kept falling on one side. The dirty floor (dirt/debris and dead roach in a corner) may have been a result of the door crack because the rest of the room was clean & comfortable (soft towels, comfy bed). My biggest issue was that a few of those problems are obvious & weren't addressed by management before a guest stayed. The towel rack would have fallen as soon as clean towels were hung by housekeepers. If I'd noticed more than the floor before I moved my bags in, I would have asked for a different room. I had to be up by 4:30am so I made it work, but I wouldn't stay here again for the amount I paid, or at least w/out checking the room first. The early-morning check-out was ok; the lobby door was locked & someone came after a minute, but I suggest an exterior drop box for keys. If all these things get fixed, it would make it a good hotel option.

Staff was awesome with my preferences for ground floor rm since I'm waiting on back surgery. They immediately replied shortly after booking my reservation they had me assigned in a nice secure room. I always felt totally safe coming & going!!

Cheap motel. Cheap furniture, fixtures, towels, bedding, signs of wear/sloppy repairs, poor water pressure, etc. On plus side, seemed clean (though I found a used toothbrush on a shelf next to the sink) and very friendly, competent staff who answered questions and provided help with a smile. If you’re looking for low cost hotel option near Clemson and don’t mind no-frills, then this is an ok choice. Location is convenient, but you will need a car to get to the University. Still on a busy weekend, paying a lot for this level of room/hotel is a bit hard to swallow.

Very nice hotel, shower head leaked a little when I first arrived and maintenance came and fixed it with in minutes.

I have a bad knee, so it was tough to climb the stairs to 2nd floor. I did request downstairs room upon arrival. The shower curtain rod was so high that the bottom of the curtain hung outside the tub. Needless to say water covered the bathroom floor when I took a shower. The person at the desk said, she would pass on the information to the owner. I suggested something else and her response was "That is above my pay grade"? I will not stay again!
