Wonderful place to stay.

Great location. Very close to the college and restaurants. Friendly staff. Room was clean. Easy access to everything. 1 elevator. The gym was in the basement and kind of secluded. I would not want my wife or daughters to use the gym without me there. A camera and some sort of blue light/alarm button would make the area better.

The hotel was more than excellent. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing, and the breakfast was nice too. When I am back in this area again this is where I wanna be.

Do Not Stay on the first floor. People repeatedly slamming doors until 2:00 am. Can hear every conversation in the lobby all night long. We won’t stay at this location again

This is a great place to stay. Everything was up to par, clean, modern, and inviting. Rosa makes a great hot breakfast, all of it was perfect! Danny is the most conscientious front desk person we've ever seen, he's helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. And the manager, Tara, always made sure we were well taken care of. Our stay was very enjoyable!

The room and hotel were clean. The elevator was very slow. Staff was always present at front desk stood there for minutes trying to get his attention while he sat in his office.

The staff was super friendly. Everyone at the front desk that we interacted with was accommodating. They were upgrading the lobby area while we were there. Thanks for the great stay. The room was nice and spacious.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge Tara, who was so helpful in helping me check out and providing overall great customer service, especially locating my customer rewards #. The staff is always great here and I appreciate the investment being made in the property to make it look so nice. Keep up the good work! I will continue to stay here whenever I need to visit my daughter in Clemson.

The staff was very professional and helpful.

The hotel is clearly being renovated, so next time we stay should be much better. However, the parking lot was half filled with steel shipping containers used for construction materials. The AC was struggling under the heat and the work being done. Again, will hopefully be remedied by the next stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I booked the wrong night, computer thing. I called the moment it happened. They would not cancel without giving me a refund of change my dates, or even a credit. 200 lost , not one cared.

It was great

Requested a King bed. Inexperienced clerk sent us to a room with 2 Queens. Went back to the desk and he called someone to help him. He gave us a new room on a different floor. New room was also 2 queens. We are exhausted and need to go to sleep as we are here for a funeral and are back on the plane tomorrow to go home. Doubt I’ll use Expedia again as it complicated the rental car process and the hotel booking as third party causes issues.

While the property is almost done with a renovation our room was damp and smelled so musty.

They are under renovations which are coming along nicely. The breakfast is excellent and the cinnamon rolls were our favorite.

Broken motion sensor meant lights went ON in our room every few minutes all night long. Complained in the morning. They did NOTHING. Same problem second night. Management did nothing. IHG did nothing. Jerks. Sleepless nights during move in really unappreciated.

It was a very easy and convenient place to stay

The hotel was under construction. The hallways smelled (mold, pulled up carpeting, etc from the construction) and were almost impossible to walk through. We had not been warned of the construction prior to check in.

No AC in the lobby or the hallways for the entire stay (in August). One elevator for the whole property which was not available the majority of the time. Bathrooms were not well maintained.

Excellent customer service and nice room. However, very disappointed in the preomold in the bathroom and there was hair on shower wall. As the bathroom was not cleaned to its entirety.

Our room was completely disgustingly filthy! There was hair in the sink, it looked like the toilet hadn't even been clean with urine marks everywhere, the shower curtain had blood/fecal stain and material on it, the shower wasn't scoured, and the shower head had all sorts of debris all over it. The room wasn't vacuumed nor dusted either. I would NEVER stay at this place again and hope their ratings would reflect their absolutely disconnect to details. If you want to stay healthy, avoid this hotel at all costs!

There was makeup powder left on bathroom counter. I almost requested to change rooms but that was only issue so let it go.

The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was great. The surrounding property area was not well kept. My room faces the wooded area which was unkept. The outside patio area was dirty. The hallways and elevator smelled of smoke and mold. The rooms are a bit outdated for the price.

This is an old upgraded hotel. They do a good job of keeping it clean but we stayed on the 3rd floor and it smelled. The beds aren't comfortable unless you like your bed firm. Customer service was Awesome!

Hotel going through remodel. Poor management of the removed materials which made the place look dumpy. Believe our room had already been remodeled, but the quality of workmanship was poor. Things were very clean in the room, and the cleaning staff are to be commended.

The hotel was remodeling but I never heard anything. Very nice, my second stay here and I like it. It’s in a safe area, I used to work in the city so I’m family with area.

There’s no pool … even though all the pictures show one. Apparently they closed during Covid and never reopened, and also never bothered to take it off their website. It’s okay, probably wouldn’t stay here again just because you could find something nicer around the same price.

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with an overwhelming smell of mold. It was everywhere. I thought it was maybe the carpets but it was in the elevator, our room, the bathroom. The bathroom was filthy. There was mold around the soap dish, in the corners, and all along the grout. The shower curtain was stained with what looked like old splashes of something unidentifiable. Nothing about it felt clean. Even the hallways were dirty, with visible grime on the walls and carpet. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe staying here and would never come back. Not to mention the headaches that my family and I had when leaving. I cannot express how this hotel smelt, it was absolutely the worst place I’ve ever slept in. Expedia should seriously reconsider listing this hotel. Avoid at all costs.

They had construction going on while we were there noisy and dirty, the bathroom tub was damaged and shower head made noisy, bathroom was outdated the beds were noisy while we laid down. I will never stay here again. Not worth the price I was charged

This hotel was supposed to be updated but I did not see any evidence of that. They put us on the basement floor across from the hotel laundry. The room was not very nice. I do not want to stay here again.

Both beds had sharp pieces of metal on the frame that cut my leg when getting out of bed causing it to bleed. It’s surprising that something this obvious was overlooked.

Comfortable and clean hotel

It's kinda of in a shady part of town. Next to what looked like an abandoned motel. Our first room the air didn't work. Then the new one the beds squeezed every time you moved. Poor water pressure and minimal hot water. Very few people staying them except utility workers.

The bed was super comfortable, which is important for a good nights sleep, and sleep is very important to me. I loved that they use Dove soap and breakfast was good.

The rooms are very outdated as far as charging iptions for phones/watches, etc. Must have standard outlet plugs for all devices. The rooms are very small and blamd, but there was advertisements of a new look & remodel happening soon. Now I know why. Location is very convenient for CLEMSON UNIVERSITY events.

It was quiet and although older still clean without odors. Employees were helpful & courteous.

The hotel is in disrepair and they are clearly holding off on any overdue maintenance pending a renovation. Pipes squeak in the shower, sections of tile missing in the bathroom, no usb chargers in the rooms, couldn't cast to the TV due to internet issue (for which the front desk gave me the number to the cable provider to call for trouble shooting). Breakfast was below average. Open the door to the pool area to discover it had been cemented in and was a construction zone. Water dispenser in gym was missing a tank, so they set a case of bottled waters in the room instead of fixing it. Just seemed like they are about to close and don't want to spend a dime on maintaining. Overall disappointed in the hotel, maybe all will be better when fully renovated.

Dirty sock on the floor, gross fridge, mildew in bathroom, leaking faucet, a drawer that would not close, weird smell throughout entire hotel, average breakfast, super slow elevator (were scared we’d get stuck in it so took the stairs rest of trip). Great location, pretty view of fall leaves on trees out of the window, nice and helpful staff. Definitely not a non-smoking property because there were always people smoking outside.

Close to Clemson, fairly prized outside of football season

I was very impressed by the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Clemson. It's in a great location and conveniently located to Clemson University. It was very clean and quiet, and the breakfast was excellent. I would recommend staying here and I will definitely stay here again.

Room smelled musty when entering.But smell seemed to dissipate.Room was on 4th floor and was unable to shut the drapes so sunlight wouldn’t come in during early morning hours. Purchased a small bottle of wine for my stay and after forgetting card downstairs left in front of my room door only to find it had been taken after coming back not 5 minutes later!!

Location convenient drive to attractions. A little difficult to find entrance rd to hotel. Front desk gentleman very friendly.

Parts of the city are walkable. There are beautiful botanical gardens nearby. Clemson is a huge university. The location has great amenities and some are walkable. Others require driving. The Publix store is great and has a Huge variety of foods, condiments, and giant cookies. It's wonderful and huge.

The rooms were very nice and the staff was good. The drain for the sink and shower were very slow which was a bit disappointing. But it was in a decent location for places to eat and the rooms, as I said, were comfortable and clean.

I don’t typically leave reviews but my stay was sub-par. I didn’t feel like saying anything to the front desk because we didn’t have much time inbetween our trip but these were the only photos I was able to take. The hotel didn’t feel clean and had a very off smell to it. It gave me really bad headaches but could have been the mold in the bathroom.

The lighting in the rooms is horrible and the beds are very uncomfortable. However, the property is clean and the staff is very nice.

The staff is very friendly. Check in was fast and easy, room was clean with a big TV and nice air conditioning. The breakfast was organized and easy to access as well. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
