Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, the property is under renovation and guests have mixed feelings about the cleanliness and condition of the rooms.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Convenient location
- Rooms need updating and cleaning
- Hotel is under renovation

Let me start by saying we got stuck on the 1st floor by a back door because the hotel was at 100% capacity. The room was definitely pet friendly which was a negative for us, the room was full of dog hair and you can tell they constantly have to use an ozone machine by the smell it had when we walked in. It was very loud due to the back door constantly being slammed shut. The mattress was springy and uncomfortable. They don’t provide comforters, you get a sheet and a stiff blanket over that. The curtains were stained and looked filthy. The first impression of the place is nice when you walk in but the lack of cleanliness was a huge turn off. I would definitely never stay here again.
- 2/5
The staff was really nice and responsive the common areas were nice but need ice. The room was a great size but it was dirty, food crumbs on the beds trash on the floor, and it wasnt stocked no handsoap or extra toilet paper. There was a kitchenette but no utensils. The tiles in the bathroom were teetering and missing grout the curtains were broken in the bedroom. I was disappointed when I said it was dirty they didn't come clean or offer another room they gave us soap and blankets that we asked for that we covered the beds with. Cleaning every other day ... no trash was removed or linen changed or even beds made. They just took the dirty towels and put a few clean ones in. We had to keep asking for stuff.
- 5/5
Nice property and location
- 5/5
We had no issues with our stay. We stayed one night and had a pleasant experience with staff and breakfast.
- 5/5
The staff were very kind and understanding.
- 5/5
I liked how quiet the neighbors were. And how clean and comfortable the rooms were. I really didn’t have any dislikes .
- 5/5
The breakfast was great for price! And the pool and hot tub were great for me and the kids, and the hot tub was actually pretty hot! The rooms were roomy, the beds were super comfy, and the mini fridge works great! I was a little surprised at all they had was basic cable and that they didn't have TVs that had at least YouTube and or Netflix capabilities on them which made our week's day a little boring in the evening times
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
Good space in suites!
- 5/5
Everything was good. Only issue was they ran out of eggs for breakfast. Hard to imagine
- 3/5
I was disappointed that the pillows were dusty and I was told that they cannot be washed And that I will be unable to have a refund but if I
- 3/5
Hotel was clean, rooms were nice with more than expected. Staff was kind and helpful. Only complaint is the beds were like sleeping on a rock a pillows had zero structure.
- 5/5
The staff was very professional and courteous. Travelocity had messed up the reservation but the folks here helped me sort it out. Third party vendors don't seem to communicate well but the staff helped me feel welcomed and helped me sort it out.
- 4/5
Amazing location!! Across the street from a shopping center that has everything including food, drinks, clothing, coffee and so much more! Easy and super quick check-in! Everything was clean and nice. Family friendly rooms!
- 5/5
Excellent staff and wonderful breakfast. There is no guest office with computers and a printer at this site. Be ready for that if you have work which requires this space.
- 1.5/5
The room was not properly cleaned and the bedding was rough and uncomfortable
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, breakfast
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, great amenities. Love staying here, the room is prefect, the hotel is comfortable with everything you need and a safe area. I have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so
- 5/5
Fresh fruit, yogurt. Did not like the type of eggs they prepared, they looked like powdered eggs.
- 2.5/5
Close to Children’s Hospital Beds were uncomfortable to the point I barely slept.
- 5/5
It was a great day, we were there on New Year’s Day, and the woman in charge of cooking breakfast did not show up
- 3/5
Not much option on the food and what they did offer didn’t taste good. The maids that suppose to clean the rooms are nasty only thing they did for the entire week me and my family stayed there was changed the towels and maybe two of the days they maid up the bed.
- 5/5
Stuff, clean room
- 4/5
Not a fan of scrambled eggs made with powdered eggs.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel. Will definitely stay here when we come back.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed there several times and they are always great. Will be back soon.
- 5/5
The hotel staff, Ashley specifically, was the nicest staff I have ever experienced in hotels. The room was spacious, very clean, bed was comfortable, good breakfast. Highly recommend.
- 3/5
Room deficiencies that could be repaired with a minimum of attention. Reception desk attendant who was rude, very rude.
- 1.5/5
Queen sheets on king beds Blood stain on comforter Dirty bathroom counter
- 4.5/5
Location near food and shopping stores , safe and quiet.

- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good plenty of healthy items!room was awsome, very clean!
- 5/5
It was very nice for the price!
- 2.5/5
Very little variety with coffee bar. Rooms were very muggy, even with AC on. Did not like that they charged a $75 pet fee rather than a deposit for pet.
- 4/5
I would stay again.
- 5/5
Great location, nice clean rooms.
- 5/5
Absolutely perfect stay. It was quiet, clean, friendly, good breakfast and coffee always available. The room was spacious
- 1/5
Room wasn’t ready until 4 pm. Bathroom was dirty. Had to change rooms. The place was a free for all. Don’t stay here.
- 2.5/5
There was an odd smell in the room
- 5/5
Excellent the rooms are nice the staff is nice housekeeping come everyday to clean your room breakfast is good
- 5/5
The consistent high level of service and helpful attitude by the staff members!
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, but the room was warm and AC didn't work very well. A warm room isn't what I want when I stay in a hotel
- 4/5
I wish the refrigerator was quieter and the pillows firmer.
- 5/5
This was a wonderful place to relax and celebrate our 55th anniversary. It was peaceful and the staff was very accommodating. We added an extra night and it was no problem at all. It was in a very nice area of town. Restaurants and shopping were very close.
- 5/5
This was a great place, the pool is a salt water pool so nice. Breakfast was good lots of options.
- 5/5
Lovely place great staff very spacious and nice rooms. Nice grounds
- 1/5
the facility building itself is very nice however they where extremely understaffed. Breakfast ran out everyday along with silverware and dishes. They had no extra blankets instead gave me a sheet for the pull out bed. Ate my oatmeal with a plastic fork one day because there was no clean dishes
- 4/5
I booked a 2 double bed 1 bedroom suite and was given a 1 king bed suite. This type of room did not work for my family and was told they had over booked by mistake. I was given a discount for the inconvenience and booked into the correct room type the next day. Although the manager did everything to try to remedy the situation, this is the second time I've been given the wrong room type due to overbooking issues.
- 4/5
The suite styles rooms were perfect setup for our needs but the complex itself could used a little upgrade. Our shower never got hot, toliet didnt flush real good and the grounds were run down. But the separate room was great to allow our twins to nap comfortably while we stayed in the main room. The kitchen was also a nice-to-have with kids. Breakfast was definitely convenient but nothing to write home about. Overall, i would stay again if traveling with kids but otherwise I would look elsewhere next time in Colorado Springs.
- 3/5
This hotel was spacious and clean, but seemed to have low resources. Little things such as no hand soap for the rooms (they were out) and receiving 3 towels for a room that slept 6. Breakfast was good but very short staffed, they quickly ran out of plates and utensils. Housekeeping came once during our four night stay. Pool area was small but clean, we liked the outdoor grill usage.
- 5/5
Clean and comfy
- 5/5
Clean, great pool and nice staff
- 4/5
It was nice to have a large breakfast selection but quality was to be desired. Eggs were imitation eggs were not good and cold and watery. Have had better egg substitute. Maybe offer less options but better quality?? Waffles were very good and enjoyed the fresh blueberries and strawberries.
- 4/5
The breakfast was really good. Staff were friendly.
- 1/5
No hot water for two days
- 5/5
We were here a week and found the room quiet and conveniently located. Bed a little hard for our liking, but not bad.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and hotel was clean and great night's stay.
- 5/5
It's a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Great space in room. Good location
- 4/5
Great location and friendly staff. Noticably updgraded which is nice, but feels unfinished. Curtains had noticable water damage on the liner, closet doors were missing hardware and falling off the channeling. Water takes 10 min to warm up on the 3rd level (beware!), breakfast was so-so, and parking lot had a monterious unmarked pothole. The bed was nice, kitchen area was clean, and hotel provided toiletries
- 2/5
After we finally settled into our room after a long day of travel, we were awoken by the fire alarm going off at 2am. The fire alarm was the most disorienting thing I’ve experienced. I’m glad I’m not epileptic, because the strobe lights would have given me a seizure. After finally finding my way back through the maze to the front desk and commiserating with a handful of other guests, we learned there was no fore and no discernible reason for the alarm. After this incredibly disruptive experience, our stay was uneventful. The staff were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Overall, it’s a decent hotel, but after our experience, I can’t possibly return.
- 3/5
My wife and I are actually local to the area and needed a place to stay for the night while our house was having work done. We chose this hotel because it was close to our house, we liked the separate sitting area from the bed, plus the full size fridge and dishes were helpful. Some pros: *Clean and spacious room *Bed and pillows were comfortable enough (not amazing, but not terrible) *Room temperature was comfortable and not too loud (my wife is a sensitive sleeper so hotels with too loud of heater / AC are tough for us) Cons *The TV channel selection was very limited *Lighting - this may be really nitpicky and selective of us, but we found the lighting to be very harsh and way too bright. It was hard to sufficiently relax so we basically had no lights on. It would have been nice if there was a softer lighting option *Main microwave was broken and the one on the table was lopsided. We understand if the replacement is needed, but we would have found it helpful if an effort had been made to make it straight
- 4.5/5
Cable did not have great/variety of options
- 3.5/5
Location and room size The scrambled eggs for breakfast were nasty!! The shower was not as hot as I like it! It was hotter at 7:00am on the last day however.
- 4/5
I stay here eveytine I visit my daughter in Colorado Springs.
- 4/5
I like the Briargate area. The hotel is mid update but alot of it was pretty run down. Our shower faucet leaked everywhere. Almost every light fixture and everything else on the walls were crooked. There's just a lot of shotty workmanship throughout the hotel. Room size is better than the hilton nextdoor for the same price this is my choice in the area.
- 4/5
But the breakfast was great.
- 3/5
The room was very spacious and pretty clean, but the stove had flashing red lights, didn't get a chance to use it. The entire property had a strong chemical smell possibly from the renovating, and I saw two dead roaches in the hallway during my entire stay. During my 3 night stay, I had no room service. I had to go down Saturday night and throw my own trash and ask for replacement towels as no one came by. Also the first night, my restroom door locked from the inside and the manager on duty just handed me his multi tool thing to try to wiggle it open.
- 4/5
Hotel was under construction and toilet would barely flush toilet paper causing you to have to flush multiple times. . Overall good stay outside of those two minor things.
- 5/5
Amazing place to stay. Would highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Wonderful place. Would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Fun time w my daughter
- 4.5/5
Nice room, clean Breakfast wasn’t as good as our past stays here. Little variety, hot items were cold
- 5/5
I will return to this property when I travel to Colorado Springs, however, I'll wait until the remodel is finished. Too much of a mess and some inconveniences like parking when the house is full, because of all the containers on site. Common areas also showed signs of where remodel/construction was occurring.
- 3.5/5
Our room was recently updated and was nice, clean, and roomy. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was good. The hotel is undergoing renovations and is under construction, so we needed to wind through a mess before we got to our renovated room in the back of the property. Also there were no ice machines on the property. However, one staff member did get me some ice from the kitchen for our evening cocktails.
- 5/5
Property did have construction but didn't disturb my activities
- 4/5
Out of the way location.
- 5/5
The cleanliness, roominess, and the nice little kitchenette. Nothing, it’s very nice
- 5/5
Years of use and disrepair. More of a Administrative decision
- 5/5
Liked it
- 2/5
The windows were not locked when I arrived - concerning as I was on a first floor overlooking a parking area. The bathroom was not very clean. The dishwasher needed to be emptied when I arrived. Not my job unless I loaded and ran it.
- 5/5
Great renovations, great breakfast, very quiet.
- 5/5
This property is updating and has a number of construction limitations. Even with that my stay was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet needs a little innovation.
- 4/5
Property needs update. Room was not the cleanest. Beds were nice . T.V. too
- 5/5
Great staff, nice rooms, tasty breakfast
- 4/5
Clean rooms and good location.
- 5/5
We came down for an event at FOF, and found the hotel to be extremely conveniently located, clean, comfortable and loved the suites, so that we could put the kids to bed earlier than the parents!!!!
- 4/5
So close to a great little shopping center, great staff!
- 2/5
The property is under extensive renovations. They did not let us know about this before our arrival. Upon check-in, the property manager insinuated that, because we booked through Expedia, the hotel could not let us know about the current renovations. The fitness room and pool were closed. We received a newly renovated room, and we were surprised to find out that the stove did not work, and the bathroom didi not have any towel hangers. We announced the front desk who told us that the situation is the same with all renovated rooms. The common laundry was very dirty, the contruction workers were making heavy use of it. We asked the property manager about a discount for our stay, and he told us that we need to contact Expedia, and that Expedia should call him about the discount. We did that, and spent a long time on the phone with Expedia staff, who finally managed to get hold of the propery manager. To our surprise, Paul, the property manager offered us only one thing: the possibility of checking out early with no penalty. We did not take this offer. We are very dissapointed about how this situation was handled by the hotel management. On the plus side, the room was clean, we had room service almost every day, and the bed was comfortable. We had a decent stay, but we would clearly not recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
The room was spacious. It was nice having a fridge with ice in the room. And the free breakfast was good. We were told there were no cribs because they are on back order. We specifically chose this hotel because it said there were cribs available. Our baby had to sleep on the floor in the closet. Also, there was a leak in the bathroom the first night. It made a mess all over and hit you when you used the toilet.
- 3/5
Location was good with access to main roads. Housekeeping skipped 1 day and decided to clean our room after 3:00 pm after we returned from a day out. Sheets were basically a mattress pad with 3more mattress pads as top sheet, blanket & comforter.
- 5/5
Very nice room. Paul, the desk manager was very good. Nothing
- 2/5
This property was under heavy renovation and we were not alerted to the inconveniences this caused with our room, parking availability, property safety, and all facility amenities. The pool and fitness center were closed and the parking lot was more than half full of dumpsters, open shipping containers, contractors and piles of construction garbage. One manager was marginally helpful, but otherwise we were repeatedly told "Hotel staff should have know about this in advance, we can't do anything about third party bookings."
- 5/5
Fast, easy check-in. Fantastic room. Only complaint was the pool was not in service.
- 2/5
Our reservation was for 2 queen size beds and the beds we git were full size. On our arrival the room we were assign did not have working AC. The staff was accommodating and pleasant.
- 5/5
Reserved 5 rooms. Receptionist was very nice and welcoming
- 5/5
STAFF WAS AMAZING AND VERY FRIENDLY CURTIOUS AND THE MANAGEMENT WAS ALSO PICHING IN TO KEEP HOTEL LOBBY CLEAN
- 4/5
The property is under renovations. So parking was limited due to dumpsters. Wallpaper was being repaired as well as other areas. But the staff is fantastic.
- 4/5
Otherwise, the hotel is in renovation now, but we didn't know what progress had been. Also, the tv remotes were semi-functional. While we didn't need the suite for what was a quick, one night stay, I would have still preferred a king room.
- 3/5
The hotel is in the process of renovation. If I knew that ahead of times, I would have reserved another hotel nearby. The hotel facilities are average hence the renovation but the location is safe and quiet and close to restaurants and interstate highway.
- 3/5
Worn out furniture, room need refresh, paint, deep cleaning.
- 5/5
All staff was great as always. They are updating the property so there was work being done. But it was quiet and clean.
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous and friendly.
- 2/5
It was a bit rough at this point.
- 5/5
Check in service was excellent, very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Hotel rooms are very outdated. Our room specifically had torn window blinds. The bathroom was worn, especially the tub. The room furniture, couch and chair, were uncomfortable and worn. The hotel is currently going through major renovations that when completed, will make the hotel awesome.
- 5/5
Tricia was very nice and friendly, breakfast area was clean and good looked good. 😌
- 4/5
The staff and housekeepers were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was nice. The location was perfect especially since it snowed for 36 hours. The hotel is being renovated but I didn’t hear any noise. The bedding and pillows were old and uncomfortable. I have never had a room with such oddball bedding. Please update that along with the building.
- 5/5
The staff were all so friendly and accommodating! The breakfast spread was fabulous. The property was very quiet.
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 5/5
Loved our stay. Rooms were nice and location was very convenient
- 4/5
Will defiantly stay here again
- 2/5
There was trash piling up outside of the elevator the night we arrived. It still had not been cleaned up at 10:30 am the next day, in fact, more trash had accumulated. Our microwave was dirty on the inside. There were deep gouges in the living room wall.
- 5/5
Very clean, staff friendly & helpful, & it's nice to find a pet friendly place for my animals. Would definitely book this hotel again.
- 5/5
Very nice quiet n clean
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable and convenient. We stayed for several days, prepared several meals, and felt very safe. The staff was very helpful, the Continental breakfast was great, and the bed was comfortable. Will definitely be back.
- 2/5
Plenty of parking! We were driving a uhaul with a car in tow. Specifically chose to stay here after looking at a satellite image of the parking lot and seeing that I wouldn’t get us stuck!
- 4/5
The hallway to our room had wallpaper coming off of the wall and being stapled at random places.
- 1/5
This is an older and dated hotel (and smells that way). I made several complaints to the front desk and none of the issues were addressed. For example, I advised the male front desk person the day after we arrived (Friday) that the hand shower holder was broken and that the toilet kept recirculating every 10 minutes, making it extremely hard to sleep at night. Neither was done. The following morning (Saturday), I spoke with a young lady at the front desk about the same concerns in addition to requesting the room be cleaned. Again, nothing was done by the time we got back that evening. A third time (Sunday), I complained to the same young lady at the front desk and again nothing was done upon our return that evening. I spoke with Aubrey at the front desk that evening and she said she was the only person at the front desk and couldn't send any replacement towels or pick up the garbage. Now we're on day 4 of the same towels, garbage, and bed sheets. Absolutely unacceptable. In addition, she said she couldn't offer anymore help because I booked through Expedia. What difference does that make?? I paid for the stay upfront AT THE HOTEL FRONT DESK so what does the booking process have to do with the staying experience at the hotel?? I talked with Expedia and they said they would send an email to the general manager that evening (Sunday). It is now Thursday (a week after arrival) and I have yet to hear from anyone at Homewood. Extremely disappointed.
- 4/5
All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast each day was changed up a little with hot items and delicious. Only negative thing was there were slight things in the room such as dirty tissue in the night stand and toilet was struggling to flush. Everything else was very clean and overall comfortable. I would stay again.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and efficient.
- 4/5
The property is starting to show some signs of wear (i.e. the wallpaper in the hallways is beginning to curl off of the wall at the baseboards and at the corners, cracked soap bar holder and tub in the shower, etc.) and needs a good 'once over.' No one cleaned my room when I specifically asked for housekeeping at the front desk on day #4 of a 6 night stay (I guess they forgot). No hand towels were available when I asked in person at the front desk. It was just a bunch a little things that didn't get taken care during my stay that makes you think, "Why am I staying here?" On a positive note, the breakfasts are pretty good!
- 4/5
We missed breakfast on Monday because the breakfast times are different on the weekend, but we didn’t have that information available to see that. The fold-out couch didn’t have any sheets on it, but my husband wanted to sleep on his portable cot anyways so the kids and I slept on the king bed. We could have asked for sheets but seeing the large stain on the mattress made it less inviting to sleep on. Other than those couple things, our stay was nice. The room was fairly large (good room for a young family) and the kitchen was easy to use. We didn’t request room service to our room so I can’t speak on that. Their breakfasts were hot and fresh, and had a nice variety of food items.
- 3/5
The hotel staff was good. The condition of our room was not great. It was not as clean as we hoped it would be.
- 4/5
The room was clean and maintained.
- 4/5
When we checked in they gave us wrong room. So we went back down to counter they said we didn't have anything left with king bed. We ask can we get one tomorrow. She said if there is one available that we can. So in the morning we ask if they got the right room for us. They gave us a letters on we should went to their website not a third party website. They gave the right room. We have to move are stuff soon as possible before the house keepers come. So that should like to me they had the right room when we checked in.
- 3/5
It’s an older property, but for the most part
- 4/5
Very friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and the room was nice and clean and spacious.
- 4/5
Traveling with 4kids we needed a larger room. Our room fit the bill. But there were several things that needed repair. The curtain was torn and the shower curtain was falling down. They advertised cable tv but we only actually only got 7-8 channels. The kitchen floor was grimy, when I wiped up a small amount of water the towel was dirty. Furniture needs to be updated. The sofa bed mattress was nothing but springs. Also someone had kicked in the bathroom door and it wasn’t repaired. Breakfast was great and the room was reasonably priced but I expected more from Hilton.
- 1/5
We arrived at the hotel around 8pm at night. At that time we were told that the hotel was overbooked and there was no room for us. I guess all the hotels in the area were at full compacity as well. After discussing for quite some time, the receptionist said she could give us a room that was technically out of service due to no AC. We went to look at it and it was not cleaned and hot. A worker offered to clean in for us and so we waited about an hour and then stayed in the hot, No AC room for the night as it was our only choice. Unfortunately we did get any sleep that night. The hotel said it was compensate us the stay but did not have any access to our information as we booked through a 3rd party
- 5/5
Very friendly staff which made my stay pleasant.
- 5/5
No ice machine. That was not good.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.
- 2/5
Overall, our stay was disappointing. We arrived at 5 pm with tired small kids, and due to an unclean room we waited to be able to check in for about 45-50 minutes. Then, once we got to the room, despite it being late for cleaning it was dirty, for example our daughter found an empty used pudding cup behind the couch. Likely will not be staying again.
- 4/5
Other than standing in line twice, our room not being ready until 8 p.m. (we arrived at 5!) The hotel is a decent place to stay in a safer area of Colorado Springs. The room was comfortable, clean, and SO QUIET! The maintenance of the room, however, left much to be desired. Much of the hardware on the furnishings was either broken or missing. The bathroom door had to be fiddled with to keep it from locking itself with nobody inside? Obviously, a recurring problem, because someone had kicked a hole in the door, and it was "repaired" with tape. Really? The fitted sheets are too small for the King bed we had, so they had to be pulled up many times during our stay.
- 2/5
The place smelled terrible.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the large rooms, walls seem a bit thin as we could hear dogs barking. Would stay again! Convenient for our family of 4!
- 2/5
Older property. Lack of cleanliness. Limited services.
- 3/5
This hotel is quite underwhelming for the price. My main issue was with the room itself. The duvet is very thin, and it has such a weird semi-cover on it which is very strange and akward. For such thin bedding, there was only one extra blanket on hand and the front desk only had one extra. There was stains on the curtains, sheet, blanket and towels (gross). Not impressed at all, but I liked the location and chose it for that reason.
- 4/5
I have stayed here a few times over the past few months and have been very satisfied with each stay. The only thing that needs some attention is the cable/ satellite service, it badly needs upgraded.
