Reviews
The hotel received overwhelmingly negative reviews, with guests expressing extreme dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and condition of the rooms. Many guests reported finding dirt, stains, and even bugs in their rooms, and some also mentioned issues with the facilities, such as broken furniture and appliances. The hotel's location and the behavior of other guests were also frequent sources of complaint.
- Friendly front desk clerks
- Christian music being played upon arrival
- Extreme lack of cleanliness
- Poor condition of rooms and facilities

It was a decent hotel. You could hear every movement of the floor above and the elevator gave me Tower of Terror vibes, but for the price, it was a good hotel. The front desk people were very helpful and the rooms were pretty clean

Clean, well-kept, comfortable, good value. Walking distance to McDonalds, CrackerBarrel, across street from Walmart, Convenient to I-25 and other major thoroughfares. Breakfast had no protein that I needed for a sports event, so we had to go next door for a protein rich breakfast.

I will write this detailed review because it doesn't seem like this hotel gets enough credit. It is one of the more affordable hotels in the area. Yes it is older, though it was recently renovated. It is in an excellent location near cracker barrel, mcdonalds, a gas station and convenience store, an indian restaurant, and more. Well lit parking lot, very safe. The hotel is locked after midnight but guests can use electronic key card from side entrance. Hotel smells good. Working elevators. Free wifi. I stayed in the king suite which is slightly larger than regular rooms only because it was the last king room left but I like it because it is at the end of the hallways so it tends to be quieter. Good solid walls, floors don't creak. Has small microwave, fridge,TV, large living space, good working AC, hair dryer, amenities etc. Rooms and hallways are clean. Fairly quiet in the whole hotel. Great shower pressure. Pleasant staff. They only required $40 deposit hold for incidentals returned at departure. Only serves continental breakfast and only from 7-9am, dining area is fairly small In the middle of the night, heard a man screaming for about 5-10 minutes, wasn't sure if police needed to be called, that was kinda scary, not sure what was happening there, but luckily it stopped after a few minutes. 4 Tiny pillows, wish I had larger ones No coffee/ coffeemaker in room slow response from hotel staff/manager when I tried to chat on the booking.com site

Being "continental" the breakfast was adequate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were comfortable and enjoyed such pleasant views. The bed was comfortable and everything was tidy and clean. They were very accommodating when we needed to stay another night. Other than wanting a little more protein with the breakfast, we really enjoyed our stay. Nothing to complain about. The property was in good condition.

Stayed only one night in Olympia Inn while roadtripping in CO. I would say this is a hidden gem in Colorado Springs. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant checking us in right away. Our room was very quiet, clean, spacious, well-appointed with great views of the mountains. Breakfast is decent with lots of healthy options. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Thanks Olympia Inn for a lovely stay.

Clean all around if it is well used. Friendly staff. They could use some new towels.
- 5/5
I absolutely love staying here! The staff is wonderful—so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are always spotless and comfortable. Plus, the location is perfect, just minutes away from the mall and Walmart. Highly recommend!
- 3/5
The area isn't so great, either. We were treated to two sheriff's cars in the parking lot. Obviously, something was going on we weren't aware of.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk was friendly and professional
- 5/5
The rooms are always spotless, and the staff are consistently kind and accommodating. The parking is safe and convenient, and having a Walmart right across the street is a big plus.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice. Facilities were adequate. A good economical choice.

Wasn’t allowed to use my military discount bc I reserved the room through Expedia which is crazy bc you’d think a company would promote the use of a third party app that boosts its product up to the top for more people to see. There were 2 vehicles in the back parking lot the entire weekend I was there with flat tires so that made me feel super secure leaving my vehicle back there (not). Lights in the room did not work but the lamps did thankfully. When I reserved my room I was under the impression I’d be able to use the pool but upon arrival we found out the pool was drained and had appeared closed for some time which is no where on the booking. I give the over all experience at Olympia a 4/10. At least the beds were clean and they didn’t have roaches I guess 😂
- 4/5
Check in was great! Super friendly staff. :-) Our rooms were spacious comfortable and clean. Sure it's an older hotel and you can tell back in the day smoking was okay but once you get past that faint odor of the past it was fine. Continental breakfast was good. At the end of the day if you are on a tight budget this is an excellent hotel . When we visit Colorado Springs again we hope there will be a room available at the Olympia Inn. :-D
- 2/5
I think this is an Expedia issue
- 4/5
Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Will stay again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff is very nice.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The bath soaps were tiny but they gave more when requested. The continental breakfast was very adequate. They provided some packaged pastries, toast, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, even cup of noodle soups. The room has a microwave and fridge, which came in handy. The staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE STAFF
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, refreshing, place to stay. Would stay again.
- 5/5
It was a good experience with Olympia inn. Very nice people and very friendly .They were always there to meet your needs.
- 3/5
This place was obviously recently renovated, but on the cheap. There was an undertone of cigarette smoke trying to be masked by a fragrance. The lamp shade had a big stain on it, which they tried to hide by turn the shade around. There were patch marks everywhere that hadn't been painted and the sink was clogged. At least the bed and pillows were comfy.
- 2/5
AC wasn’t cold enough
- 5/5
Was nice and clean

This property seemed extremely unsafe to the point I did not stay here.

- 5/5
Very clean and orderly.
- 4/5
Good value. Dated, but relatively clean. Staff was very good.
- 3/5
Friendly service. The building was a little run down and outdated. The shower had a sizable crack.
- 4/5
The property was ok. Looks like they were trying to update it.
- 2/5
Not well kept and the beds are not great
- 5/5
Ron and Lessa were heaven sent for my daughters stay there for the Air Force Academy! Thank you sooooo much!
- 4/5
Nice and affordable place to stay
- 1/5
Small 3 story hotel. Hallways were not well lit. Had a King suite on the second floor. Curtains were not blackout type and there was a very bright parking lot light shining right in the window. Very bad for sleeping. It might have been OK as a $40 or $50 a night hotel but not for what they are charging. Will not stay again and will not recommend for others.
- 5/5
The staff was great and the room was quite nice
- 5/5
i really enjoyed the hotel staff, they were friendly and always provided anything we needed. 10/10 will choose them again if visiting the area
- 3/5
Bed was way to soft it hurt my back, little options for breakfast
- 3/5
Property is neat and maintained well

Bad smell in the room
- 5/5
The employees at the Olympia Inn were friendly, helpful, and efficient. The price was reasonable. We stayed there 2 nights. The room was clean; the water pressure was good; and the bed was comfortable. We did not use the indoor pool or hot tub. The breakfast was simple, but well-stocked (toast, cereal, pre-packaged pastries, cereal, milk, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal packets, and fresh fruit. The Olympia Inn is conveniently located about 2 blocks from the i25, yet it is very quiet! McDonald’s and Cracker Barrel are next door; the Air Force Academy, Chapel Hills Mall, and many stores & restaurants are within a mile. If you are in Colorado Springs with kids, be sure to enjoy the free activities at Focus on the Family, 1.5 miles from The Olympia Inn. We would stay here again!
- 5/5
Loved the sheets
- 1/5
One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It was smelly and visibly dirty on the inside and outside. The parking lot was so small, that the manager asked us to park across the street at Cracker Barrel. When I told him that I wasn’t comfortable with that because that would be illegally parking, he became very angry. We found somewhere else to stay because the interaction was so uncomfortable.
- 4/5
Initially, we were concerned about the lack of personnel at night. it was safe. The lack of good breakfast was overridden by McDonald's next door. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed comfy. The towels were bigger than some other hotels! Kudos to the staff!!! They were quite considerate, allowed us to see the room before we booked it.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Got a great nights sleep. The continental breakfast was simple but had plenty of choices and the area was clean and well maintained
- 4/5
Good but can be better
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms
- 4/5
Building is a bit rundown, but clean, cared for, and staff was great!
- 3/5
The physical hotel room was very nice and appealing. I stayed 4 nights. On the second through third night there was no housekeeping to get soiled linen, no bedsheets were changed or bed remade, no trash was taken. No coffee pot in the room.
- 4/5
No problems
- 4/5
Room was very large and conveniently located. Bed was comfortable. However my room was on the side with a major road, traffic noise, and a lot of light that was hard to keep completely out of the room. TV was pretty small.
- 5/5
Nice room friendly service
- 5/5
Plate and helpful staff. Clean and as advertised. Pool was closed and looked like it would be for a while.
- 4/5
Breakfast just toast and cereal. No decaf found. No juice just a fruit juice packet. Staff very friendly.
- 5/5
This was my third time staying at the Olympia Inn. As a solo traveler, I find the cost reasonable. The owners are helpful and kind.
- 4/5
The wonderful staff made up for what is otherwise a very marginal property. Aging building, only adequately maintained, but in need of update. In addition, the area was not the greatest. Fortunately, the price through Expedia was good, making our stay a fair value.
- 5/5
Convenient
- 5/5
I loved our stay at this property. The price is affordable. The rooms are good size. I'm in a wheelchair and the bathroom was accessible and had the bars set correctly and the toilet was a high toilet which made it easier getting on and off it. The bed was comfortable. The owners were polite and accommodating. It's very close to Chapel Hill Mall, Walmart, Goodwill and just a little farther are Ross, Burlington, and Arc. There are so many restaurants as well, ranging from Saltgrass steakhouse to Wendy's. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.
- 5/5
My stay was wonderful there. Room was really clean, bed was very comfortable. The folks at the front desk was as good as could be and helpful. Checkin was really simple and fast!
- 5/5
It is a quiet clean & tidy location. I felt safe (single female). Lots of lights outside. No trash on the grounds (bottle, butts, or paraphernalia trash). Nice folks at the door. Thank you. I will return when I visit my family again.
- 4/5
Big king room mostly updated but shower and carpet was still out dated. Otherwise it was. Updated and nice.
- 3/5
The people were great and the room was clean. Our bathroom door did not close but everything else was kept up pretty well.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and accommodating always nice people!
- 5/5
Room was very clean! First motel I have stayed at in awhile that the heater worked good! Shower was good. Bed was a little hard but was clean and comfortable! I will stay here again!
- 5/5
The room had a very comfortable bed, pillows ans coverings. Shower was great as the water pressure was just right!.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious and good quality furnishings. Polite staff. Ice machine works.
- 1/5
Didn't like the staff . We were not aloud to have visitors and that was not fair. Also I don't even smoke and they ask me 5 times did I smoke in room. I don't even smoke but it smelled like smoke inside the room when we arrived.
- 4/5
Great staff…. No cleaning services offered we asked twice to get extra towels for our 4 night stay. Breakfast was basic minimum… cold cereal ,oatmeal and toast. No knives to spread butter and jam. Nice staff and employees just very limited services but a cheap place to stay also!
- 2/5
I got what I paid for.
- 3/5
It was fine. Rooms need to be updated. Staff was pleasant.
- 4/5
All of the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
My stay was great. I feel safe and comfortable.
- 2/5
We didn't stay. When we arrived we saw mattresses in the dumpster, which is usually a sign that there were bedbugs. We didn't want to take any chances when we saw that our room had a brand new bed frame and mattress.
- 5/5
Amazing value for the price. Comfortable room. Had to leave before the start of the continental breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Friendly reception.
- 5/5
very accessable
- 4/5
The beds & pillows were comfortable and we felt the set up worked well for us. Also, the staff was really kind and helpful. As far as we were concerned, this was a nice stay.
- 1/5
Beds were awful!! Sagged to the middle. Room smelled. I think there were bed bugs. Bathroom dirty. I think there were bed bugs!!
- 3/5
The indoor lighting is something wrong.
- 4/5
I would put up thicker curtains to block out the security lights outside.
- 5/5
We absolutely enjoyed meeting the beautiful family owners and having a relaxing staycation in such a quiet area. Everything was so nice and welcoming, clean and we look forward to coming back.
- 4/5
Nice stay. Traveling alone but felt safe. The hotel is a little dated but over all clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean. Quiet, and curtious staff
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Hotel is close to everything, food, gas, shopping and easy acces to the highway. This will be my go to whenever im in town.
- 5/5
Great Remodel
- 4/5
We would recommend this place to our friends and family members
- 1/5
I left early bc of genuine fear bc all night long I heard men walking past my room and talking and I am a young woman who was traveling alone
- 3/5
Room and facility are very clean but room door lock and one light switch did not work. Some one kicked a hole on the inside of the bathroom door.
- 4/5
Only issue was they don't clean unit and prep the beds even if you request. We were there a week and they did that once Other than that, it was good
- 5/5
The hotel was great! Perfect location, great price and close enough to all attractions we were visiting. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Water pressure, AMAZING! Check in and check out was super easy and staff was great! Thank you. We will be returning on our next trip to Colorado Springs.
- 5/5
guy up front was very nice! beds were comfy. just wish they provided more than three pillows.
- 1/5
Stay away. I got caught in traffic and arrived at 12:30 and no one was available to let me into the hotel. Then they refused to give me a refund.
- 1/5
We checked out shortly after we checked in due to the room smelt like smoke and the inner security lock was broken. We were told we were going to receive a refund but nothing has happened as of yet.
- 5/5
We had a great time. No issues checking we arrived 15 minutes earlier and we were able to check into our room without any issues. We did not require any deposit because we did not have any pets, or smoked. It was pretty awesome! Looking forward to staying here in the future. Hopefully by then the pool and spa are open! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
- 2/5
My toilet kept getting plugged up and I kept getting little tiny ants in my room.
- 4/5
Clean and friendly
- 5/5
Was very impressed with the clean and spacious rooms, staff was very accommodating, would definitely stay again
- 4/5
The building is getting updated, the staff were super friendly. The one complaint is that there was no bathroom door in our room. Other than that the bed was comfy, AC worked great.
- 5/5
The staff are super friendly!!
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. The room was very large, which is good. But door did not seal so was quite noisy. Could even hear people in next room. The area had lots of lights outside from business across street. But curtains would not close or block out light. Very hard to sleep with light pouring in. Breakfast was okay but didn’t begin until 7, which was inconvenient for me.
- 4/5
Nice clean room and beds and nice size room staff friendly and priced good
- 5/5
Would have preferred to have clothing hangers in the room.
