A guest was observed coughing all over the food at the breakfast bar. Nothing was said to her. My relative who traveled with me and who has a very serious stomach problem accidently farted, but their was no smell involved. It was just the noise. The guest who had been spreading her germs over the food reported that she was offended by the noise. A representative of the hotel came out and informed my son that he needed leave and never return to the property. My relative informed her you do not get sick from a sound, but you can get sick from someone coughing over people or food. Everything

It was clean and quiet. The housekeeper who cleaned that room did an AMAZING JOB bed was tight, room smelled good, every thing was neat and organized. No complaints only that we couldn't take food to the room but staff was excellent.

I do not smoke and strongly dispute this claim. When I asked for documentation or an explanation, I was told the room had been inspected by management and allegedly smelled of smoke. I was also told that an email had been sent, but I never received any notification regarding this issue. What was most disappointing was the way my concerns were handled. During the conversation, I was told that the manager “didn’t care” and was asked why I wanted the money back since it was “only $50.” I was also told that I should be glad it wasn’t the larger smoking fee listed in the hotel’s policy. Regardless of the amount, $50 is still my money, and I believe customers deserve respectful treatment when asking about charges on their account. I understand hotels have policies, but customers also deserve professionalism, transparency, and documentation when money is withheld. Based on my experience, I would encourage future guests to carefully review any deposits or fees charged during their stay and keep records of all communications.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only complaint if any was the mattress in my room was worn on the bed side, probably needs to be replaced.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times but now may not return. This last stay, my daughter unfortunately left some jewelry in the room. When we contacted the property , we were told that nothing had been found, which means that someone either pocketed the items or chose to dispose of them. Either way, they clearly have dishonest people cleaning the rooms and working even in management. What a shame, for a hotel that I’ve enjoyed now to be a place I can’t trust to stay. Beware!

This is a lovely hotel, and I have stayed here multiple times. This last time, however, we had an issue with missing items. Jewelry was unfortunately left in the room and was then suspiciously “just not there” when we asked to have it retrieved and sent to us. This tells me that someone either pocketed the items or threw them away. Either way, there’s some dishonest people working here and that makes me feel like I can’t stay at this location again. Such a shame!

The interior of the lobby and hallways did not smell great & it smelt similarly in the room until I powered the AC on. Also the bathroom floor was sticky.

Staff not friendly. Walked into dark room and had Sponge Bob playing on TV. Thought someone was in my room or possibly in someone else’s room. Also had a spot of blood on my comforter, figured I would just not use it verses dealing with the front desk staff.

The staff was kind but not helpful. The rooms are NOT clean. The pool is horribly maintained. The water was so cloudy. The ad stated the pool was heated but the water was ICE COLD! The breakfast area was clean but not tasty. The coffee tasted as if it was made with filthy smelly water. But the worst was HAVING A LIVE COCKROACH CRAWL ON THE BLANKETS WHILE I WAS IN BED!!!!

The only thing I disliked about it all is that they don’t want you to take your breakfast to the room.

On Thursday April 2nd upon checking out, I ask the young lady at the desk when will I be receiving my deposit back for my room and she stated that the manager needs to check the rooms 1st and that afterwards if everything is good I will receive the refund, I then asked if it was okay that she ask her to go while I was still there because I don’t live in that state so I can get my refund back. So the manager went came back downstairs and then whispered something in the lady ear as I was standing there. The lady at the front desk then stated that she had to go to the room to check saying that the manager smelled smoke. I then said let's go please we both proceeded to go upstairs to the room the lady checked, I said to the lady 1 you’re accusing us of smoking in the room which I booked 2 rooms it was my nieces 10th birthday and 1 I don’t smoke and neither do the kids I had in the rooms smoke so please do not accuse me of that she then stated that oh the manager has a sinus problem so why are you allowing her to check the rooms I ask. I was very upset and highly disappointed that this happened to me because I would never. Next time be more careful with how you treat your customers

My stay was fine. The room you book online is misleading it’s really a studio not a suite. It was still a good size. I will say my they were very attentive to any issue I brought to their attention. The room was clean. The breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. The only issue we had was the pool was too cool to enjoy. We mentioned it to the front desk and he said the temperature was controlled by the pool company. While we enjoyed our stay, not being able to enjoy the pool would keep us from staying there in the future.

Night gentlemen was extremely friendly. Breakfast was good. Bed could be a little more comfortable, but it was ok.

Let me start by saying the hotel is located in a GREAT PLACE next to everything and every main thing you would need. My experience there was HORRIBLE first the hotel stinks the rooms are spacious but stinks. The customer service there is terrible and the ones I dealt with was not welcoming or accommodating to me had going into labor having to leave the hotel before my stay was over. They didn’t want to accommodate me a refund for my stay and on top they kept my security deposit and I only stayed in the hotel for 3 hours to shower and sleep which is insane. If you looking for a welcoming place to stay and people that love there job LOOK ELSEWHERE that’s close by that area like a Marriott.

Room spacious. Air conditioning unit wouldn’t stay on so sleeping was very uncomfortable AND our room was by the back door so quietness was out of the question. We heard everyone coming in and out. I’ve never been so ready to check out of a hotel. On the bright side the hotel is located in a prime stop for food and shopping.

Everything from the front desk staff, to housekeeping, to maintenance was amazing. The room was clean and the sheets were so soft! The pool was nice evwn though it is 3ft deep on either side and 4ft in the middle. My 16 yr old son and I managed to stay for 2 hours. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was kept well stocked. I would definitely recommend. It is a bit od a drive to Ft Jackson, compaired to other hotels, but monus the construction, its very doable.

The completion of a flooring make over to the elevator, on a Friday, during what is usually a busy time of day (7pm) for most hotels, was distastful. I was told that the elevator was unavailable and that I would have to take the stairs to access my room on the 4th floor. Being a 70 Year old woman, I thought it was very stressful, inconsiderate and inconvenient.

Better microwaves are definitely needed to use it had to unplug it and plug it back in just to get the door open.

Check in took all of 5 min and the renovations are wonderful. The room I had was very spacious! I enjoyed my stay.

Checked me in and gave me two keys. I then unloaded my elderly grandfather and we entered through that same side he just was and I threw away his piece he didn’t finish. Mind you, this is like 11pm and we are driving from WV to FL. Morning comes around, the “manager” tells me she will check the room after I showed her photos and bites on my body clear as day of BED BUGS. She tells me “I will check on it myself and get in touch with you within an hour”. It gets better… She calls as we are on the road again and confesses she found roaches and a roach trail but never saw any bed bugs, however will give me a half refund… Do not sleep in room 320 or be super smart and just don’t book in this hotel AT ALL !

Food was terrible nasty and room was nice but nasty half cleaned still trash behind beds like lil roaches crawling and when notify front desk nothing was done bout it

I truly enjoyed my stay! Affordable, accommodating, quiet, and clean. I even enjoyed the biscuits and gravy at breakfast. Definitely booking again when i have to visit University of South Carolina!

We as a family had a good experience at the hotel! They had a good breakfast and the staff was always very pleasant and friendly!

The stay was awful because we came for the pool. I contacted the front desk to make sure that we were going to be able to go to the pool. They assured us that the next the next day that the pool would be open when I asked to go to the pool that day. The pool was closed and the guy said he did not know when the pool would be open back up Which they could’ve told us that in the beginning and I would’ve been able to book a different room at a different hotel that had the accommodations that I was looking for without the lies

Good value for the price. Clean and quiet. Bathroom has new bath/shower and toilet, but around the sink: very poor calking and lotion dispenser falling out of the wall. Breakfast was standard fare. Our biggest problem with the hotel involved the pool hours: 10am - 10pm. We wanted to use the pool in the morning, but there is very little time with an 11am checkout. We asked if we could enter at 9am and told “no,” but that we could pay extra for a noon checkout. Seems like they don’t want people using the pool.

The room had ample space, and the pool was located inside, so there was no risk of sunburn. The staff was kind and helpful.

Upon arriving to our room the bedding was clearly not changed. There was hairs and dirt on the sheets, along with change left from the precious guest. No new bedding was available in the room. With small children this caused a headache trying to go down to front desk to get clean bedding.

The Hotel itself was nice. Clean appearance, staff was friendly. Our room was nice, the tub for a handicap room was fairly high to get into it, it did have hand rails which was good. The breakfast was nothing to admire about it, the gravy was less than like warm, the biscuits were cold, the sausage was warm.

The hotel is right off the highway and EVERYTHING is close. (Walmart is in the back yard). Any kind of restaurant you want, any kind of shopping you want. Only 15 driving minutes to downtown Columbia. We will absolutely stay here again.

Thisxproperty was so clean and nicely decorated. They serve hot food in their breakfast and it was very good. I loved sraying here. The staff was exceptional.

It was a nightmare I found someone else’s clothes in the room immediately upon arrival and when I asked if the room was cleaned they said yes. Went swimming as soon as I got there only to get back to the room to try to shower and the tub was dirty and there was hair everywhere. I let front desk know and he said sorry and would send up some cleaning solution due to housekeeping not being there. I waited almost and hour if not an hour only standing in wet clothes waiting for him to come. I called him back and asked if I can get a different room because that one was not clean. He came up stairs apologized I showed him my proofs he took a picture and told me to take proof for my records as well. I asked about being compensated with some sort of discount he said he couldn’t because he wasn’t a manager and I could talk to management in the morning. Morning came about 7 almost 7:30 and as I’m showering in the now changed room there was mold rolling down the shower I got out got dressed and went to see if the manager. I made the manager aware of what happened with the other room and asked about a discount the manager, stated no they can’t give me a discount or any kind of compensation because I was compensated with a fresh new room. She made excuses about why the room wasn’t clean was because of a new. The previous worker admitted the room was not cleaned prior to me and my kids entering the room. I was told I’d be refunded nothing so far. I booked for 3 days and left after 12hrs

Room service wasn't done. We had to constantly ask for towels. We asked them to take out trash and then we just ignored it and didn't asked.

This hotel lives up to its name, Comfort Suites, despite the check-in staff woman, who was efficient but not personable nor inviting. The facility is tucked away from the busy & loud Harbison & Interstate traffic. The soft music & decorative aesthetics produced a really relaxing ambiance. The king bed suite was spacious and well furnished. Our stay was peaceful. Breakfast choices each morning were very good. Cleaning & maintenence staff were helpful, friendly and always on point with their duties. One older man is like an uncle, quietly walking around helping out, checking on different things & people. We will definitely stay again.
