The entire hotel was under construction unknowingly to us. Dusty, and noisy. Room was dirty and not well maintained. Was supposed to come with complementary breakfast but was surveying in the middle of the construction zone. Who wants to eat with dust and noise everywhere. The stairs were cluttered with broken furniture parts and the parking lot was full of construction debris and vehicles.

None of the amenities are available because of the construction. There's no light blocking curtains on the windows, and constant noise - making sleep, especially in the early hours of the morning impossible. I do not like getting dressed and having nothing but a thin curtain for privacy as people walk by. Breakfast ends at 9am. I was finishing up at 9:02 when a staffer told me to take my plate and leave. People hanging out in the parking lot at all hours making noise. I'm pretty sure there were some kind of bugs in my bed, as I had several bites in the night. It's just a really low-rent, run-down, gross, poorly managed hotel. I feel like nothing that I am listing here should come as any surprise - it's all very evident. So the fact that no improvement has been made in 7 months makes me think there's a lack of care - so I don't know why you're even asking for feedback. Y'ought to know what you've got going on.

The location was good. People smoking weed everywhere. There should be a designated smoking area and the security that does absolutely nothing should enforce it. My family shouldn’t have to get weed blown in their face. And then they say free parking but not true they charge you later.

They are in the midst of remodeling. If I knew, I haven’t booked it. The pics on the website are after the fact …

Wasn’t really satisfied with the stay. First, when we booked online it did not mention that the swimming pool was under renovation. Furthermore, at check in we were not told the pool was under renovation. We only found out we would not be able to use the pool when we went to use it which was disappointing. Second, upon gaining access to the room we came across a huge rolling basket of blankets stored in the room. Third, the refrigerator in the room was not cold at all. I had to keep my drinks cold by filling the sink with ice. Lastly, in the morning around 8:30 as I was coming out of the shower to get dressed I caught one of the housekeepers peeping through the window from the outside into the room, which I felt my privacy was being invaded. If she wanted to see if the room was vacant she should have knocked on the door. Thank goodness I had a towel! I probably won’t book another room at this hotel in the future!!

Play was under complete construction no pool no gym no grand front entrance. You have to use a side door and walk on bear. Concrete would’ve been cheaper and the same environment to just stay at a motel six

The listing is completely misleading. I understand they are doing renovations but that isn't disclosed. The place was in shambles. The housekeeping staff was so sweet. The elevator had a mind of it's own which was scary! The hotel looks nothing like the photos. Paper thin walls were rough to deal with! Luckily we weren’t there long.

The hotel is undergoing a major renovation. Signage totally inadequate. Construction debris and dust was unbearable. We left.

The staff was wonderful and friendly and helpful, but the property was not clean and it was frankly unsafe. I purchased this under the impression that I would have access to a fitness center and the fitness center was closed down. The pool was empty. And there were paper signs leading to the hotel lobby. The indoor floor was cement and the ceilings were missing in many places. Multiple times I got lost trying to find my way out and ended up in an active construction site once with wet cement and the door locked behind me so I had to wander through the construction site to find my way out. I would have really liked to rebook somewhere else, but I was not able to do that. I never leave bad reviews. I just usually don’t leave any at all if I’m unsatisfied. But this one was definitely one for the books.

Misrepresentation of amenities. There is no bar/grill on site. The pool and fitness center are under construction and there was no indication of this when booking. The entire lobby is a construction site, the hotel should be closed until construction is completed. Very disappointed.

Did not know the hotel was having renovations so we could not use the pool. Plus there is no fan in the bathrooms. Also, had to call and ask for maid/turn down service as we were out of toilet paper, garbage was full, and out of soap.

Property is being remolded which I wasn’t aware of. Room was very outdated and the black out drapes are old and not black out drapes. There’s a huge gap on the side of the drapes that someone can clearly see through the window from the outside. The only way to close the gap is tape the drapes to the wall or close the drapes into the door.

The thermostat in the room wasn’t working and it was very uncomfortable. The room and halls was unclean. The entire lobby looked like construction site , the pool was not trierę . Very bad overall.

We drove to the hotel at 8:30pm .followed makeshift “lobby “ signs , as I walked through the lobby door we found the place in CONSTRUCTION! I can’t believe anyone would want to stay here ., safety is PARAMOUNT for my family, this place certainly lacked that ., needless to say, we walked away!!

I liked how close it was to things. I didn’t like that we couldn’t do anything that everything was closed and we still had to pay full price for our room.

Adequate is an exaggeration. They charged over $100 for "holding the room" on the day after i checked in. In other words they stole it. No "maid" service unless i specificall ask for it in advance. I got no prior notice that this is a construction site. Big mistake.

Everything was great. I just don’t like that paid parking. Been going here for years and I didn’t there were a parking fee and check out.

Staff was rude as hell. When i asked about the mattresses the guy at the desk straight up said did you take measurements did you look at the dimensions rather than being professional about it. Then when i was checking out another guy tried saying that theres a big difference between a California queen and a regular queen when the difference is 4 inches and yet me and my two kids a 3 yr old and a 9 year old could not lay down comfortably on their “queen” mattress. My daughter has a queen mattress and we lay comfortably on that at home. The mattresses they try passing as queens are not. I felt every single spring on the mattress. My kids my mother and i couldn't sleep pillows were so soft when we moved the springs on the mattress made noise and it felt like sleeping on a rock and you could feel the springWhen complaining the guy with glasses and beard was rude as h e l l. The bathroom was so small when you open the door the door just glides two cementers from the toilet. There were like smoke marks on the door frame. There was construction going on which we were not informed prior to making the reservation. The room i booked on expedia is know-where compared to what we were assigned which is false advertisement. I would double check before booking with this half a s s hotel. I want my full refund we checked out early and went back home after they were done fixing the gas issue and we rather stay in a house with no heat no hot water no electricity then stay another night there.

Did not feel safe. Drunk and loud people outside our door. Not safe to be out of room to and from car. Outside room dark and not monitored. Heard about several car breakins in past. Room leads to outside like old motel.

Hotel.com advertised this a hotel. It was a motel. The ratings were too high. The desk clerk was excellent. I wouldn’t come back.

Outside of the good atmosphere of the cleanliness of property and the excellent guest staff this property needs a seriously update. It gives me motel six without the walls being painted.

We woke up in the morning and couldn’t take a shower handle feel off. My girlfriend was very upset because we wanted to go to church. Ruined out whole day and now she’s not speaking to me

Satisfactory despite being an older building. The exterior of rooms is not terribly appealing, but the room was fine.

The room and the bed were clean enough. There was a very annoying constant noise - a mechanical hum going off every 2 minutes or so - sounded like a fog horn. I thought it was just in the wall but heard it in the morning in the hallway as well - maybe connected to the elevator or the HVAC system. The A/C was unusable because it pumped the smell of cigarettes into the room. The staff at the desk were kind and efficient and the breakfast was great. We will choose another hotel for our next business trip.

Staff was very helpful. Facility is older and a bit worn. I look forward to seeing it after the upcoming refurbishment.

Noting we were on the 6th floor in the tower, it was quiet, comfortable, and clean. The room itself is generously sized, and despite being close to 680, pretty quiet. Hotel is walking distance to the Veranda shopping area which has several food and drink options. The breakfast is pretty limited. But, I can't really fault the place for this price compared to nearby alternatives.

I didn’t realize there were a fee for parking.

There were no blackout curtains, and our room was bright through the night limiting our rest. Staff said they "hear this all the time" and that there actual is a 3rd layer of curtains. Why not let people know this at check-in or post a sign about this alleged 3rd layer? Very disappointed in our stay.

I turned on the iron, water poured out if the back, unseen smoke turned on the fire alarm. I turned on the air conditioner, unseen smoke turned on the fire alarm. I took the iron down to the front desk, informed the reseptionist and she dodnt seem to care when I informed her of the fire hazards and defective things in room 310. It was apparent the these issues were not a surprise. FIRE HAZARD!!

Close to Freeway and shopping

Not a terrible hotel for the price. The room was definitely nicer than the outside represented. My biggest complaint is no curtains. Only the sheer ones, so anyone walking by could see me in my room.

Likes- Clean rooms, plenty of towels, breakfast is ok but the coffee is surprisingly really good.

I stay here frequently and was surprised that my vehicle was broken into after midnight in late June 2025. I learned this is not uncommon and suggest you park in from of hotel by cameras if possible so you cam minimize your risk of incurring a smash n grab nightmare like I’ve had to deal with!

I arrived at the front desk only to be informed that my reservation was canceled because the credit card used to hold the room was declined. My mistake was that my card had expired between making the reservation and showing up for my trip. Okay, that’s on me but to cancel my whole reservation? Why not just ask me for a different card? This also happened to the guests in front of me. Anyway, I was able to get and pay for another room but at a higher rate. But my check in was stressful and irritating. The room was okay. Clean and quiet (at least after the pool closed and the kids left). So although we had a decent stay I have decided I will not be back.

Always stay here when in the area

This was the most comfortable mattress/bed we have slept on, and my wife is SUPER picky (back surgery).

Staff was rude, beds were uncomfortable, walls were thin, and I didnt appreciate being charged a deposit larger than the actual price of the room. Not to mention I was told I wouldnt get my deposit back for 3-5 business days. Motel 6 would have been a better choice than here. Will not staying here ever agian and I recommend no one else should either.

This should have been called a motel. I was surprised to have a door open to the parking lot. Kind of dumpy place, not what was expected.

Since we have moved we came and stayed to visit with several friends. When one arrives you walk through a lovely atrium with very nice plants. The hotel provided a comfortable haven between our visits. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean with nice linens. There was a microwave and a refrigerator. They have a very nice swimming pool. I brought my lunch out by the pool and enjoyed the sunshine. I would stay there again

The staff was very accommodating and willing to help. However your restaurant or bar on sight is not open. Which was a bummer cause I wanted to go down and have a drink one night. The laundry room needs to be updated. Only one washer and dryer. It took me 3 hours to do laundry cause someone else left clothes on the dryer. With more machines and updated machines it would faster. Plus with updated machines clothes wouldn’t take an hour and half to dry

Clarion in Concord California. Very nice staff. Breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, burrito, bagel, coffee teas, hot water.

I was not actually able to stay here although I did pay for it. The hotel wouldn't take tap pay or online pay for the cleaning deposit, and I left my debit card at home, so although I wanted to give them my money, the very rude staff refused. This should be mentioned on their site. Tap pay is standard anywhere that cards are accepted these days. And I also know from working with POS systems that the staff COULD have manually input my card number, but didn't want to. I can't help but think there may have been some discrimination at play as I was coming from my job as a server technician and my clothes looked dirty, so maybe they thought I looked homeless. There was no reason for the rudeness and hostility. Then they refused to refund my room.

I said what I liked, notably clean and three sets of towels every day. I don’t like that toiletries were in tiny containers. Not enough for two people.

Dilapidated property. Not sure where they get their high ratings. Upon check in was greeted by a rude and unprofessional front desk female working 4/19 around 8am. Got my key, the room is a time capsule from the 70’s (I think) OLD, old dirty carpet peeling from the walls(yes instead of baseboards), popcorn ceiling, old electricity outlets, the bathroom was even worse, cracked tile and all the fixtures old and rusted. I’ve never seen so much caulking used to cover up maintenance issues. My door was not even locked upon entrance, it just opened… the room had a connecting door that was NOT locked and I opened it and someone was on the other side! What if that person had access to the room prior to my arrival from their side? Who knows. DO NOT stay here. I did not spend any nights there, left.

We stayed for one night, surprised that there are rooms open to the outside. Paid extra to have a room in the tower. The hotel was clean, and breakfast was to be expected

Location is nice, but there is a person sitting in the car with the headlights on for the entire night in the parking lot. Asked for the room change but the front desk said there will be extra changes etc.Rooms are clean but the building is old and the front desk is not flexible to communicate at all.

The front desk staff were all great. The breakfast was terrible. The food was all cold and had been sitting out for a while. The breakfast ends at 9 and they required us to leave the room at exactly 9 even though we just got our food at 8:50. They need a new breakfast arrangement.

I would rate this below average. The curtains do not close, the heater is loud and the outside noise is load. The bed is very soft.

Third time there. Its really relaxing, Quiet and the hotel staff are very respectful.

Our stay was comfortable. The hotel and rooms are outdated and the coffee maker is not a Keurig. The room was spacious and the water pressure was good. The breakfast was good but there was no toast and coffee creamer needed options. I would stay again for the convenience and comfort.

I used Expedia to reserve to add a night the staff seemed confused. I added another night thru Expedia. The staff did offer to move my room to a quieter location which was nice.

The Spanish speaking clerk who checked me in was very unfriendly . When i went to check out, there was nobody at the Front desk . After waiting over 10 minutes, I left. There are some major concerns with this property ! I would mot stay here again

I been going to this hotel at this location for many years. Unfortunately this time on the second night, the room next door was making loud noise. The front desk took care of it within the hour. Besides that everything was great.

Staff was polite , responded immediately to an electric problem in our room. Would stay here again.

Boyfriend’s work truck got locks cut. Luckily they weren’t able to get in to get his tools.

The room was just fine for the price I was expecting anything extravagant. We checked out, I made sure everything was clean and that was it. Then I received a deduction on my bank account for $498 dollars EXTRA!!! I call them and the woman states that one of the bed sheets has a stain and that’s how much they cost!!!! I didn’t receive a call, an email NOTHING!!!! I had to put in a dispute with my bank and I’ll give an update. These people are a joke. I killed 4 spiders and the breakfast was HORRIBLE…. I wasn’t going to say that but they deserve to be told on!!!

We were traveling to SF for a drs appt and needed place to stay just for one night. The room’s shower did not work (couldn’t pull plug to start the shower). There was mold in the bathroom sink. They gave us a room in the older building of Clarion and it was old and not kept well. Broken shower and mold in sink. Beds were so so. I felt itchy the whole night.

We change our rooms three times. First room the carpet was wet. Second room exhaust fan and phone didn’t work and third room exhaust fan and some of the lights didn’t work. Smell bad in the building. Breakfast was even nothing. Will Never stay at this hotel even anywhere bc staff was very root and nasty. No room service. Worse hotel I ever stayed
