Yall accept pets my dog is a service animal. And no fee for being a service dog thanks. Pool was a little dirty at the bottom and leaves inside it little webs under neath tiki canopy’s by pool where you sit rooms could be painted for updating and flooring better firm pillows for beds they had no support for head to flat we stayed in handicap room by office so far that all we recommend.

I loved the property. We have stayed many times. We are also members. This time we had rude employee named Stephanie and she had a bad attitude and made us wait 20 minutes in the lobby, until I called the hotel and told her we were in the front. She charged us $46 with text for two because she said it was early check in. It was 15 minutes before 3pm. She also denied us a first floor and have us two rooms in the 2nd floor all the way in the back. My group is over 62 years old and we had difficulty going up and down the stairs with our luggage. Today a wonderful sweet lady named Nancy helped us as much as she could. Nancy that was using one hand only because she had surgery in the other way working hard to help us and other people coming to check in and out.

The check in was good the person at the desk was really nice and friendly. She also attended the breakfast area and was on it food looked and tasted good. The room 111 need to be addressed. The closest door was missing the whole left side.

Hair dryer was broken and the outlet was not working like it had been damaged. Sink leaked all night. Shower dis not drain. No body soap in the shower. Damp floors.

They location and they had a pool It wasn't very clean and the room had many utilities that weren't working. The room had some maintenance issues that could've been fixed before our stay.

Room was clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was posted on a menu board so you knew what you were getting.

The hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes and make your own waffles were very good! The pool was clean and refreshing. Pet friendly room was nice for our fur baby however note the price on Expedia is not correct. The pet fee is $35(including tax).

We were very happy with our stay and will be back! We are birders and the hotel location is ideal for reaching birding spots in the area. We were not expecting a lot from the hotel and it pleasantly surprised us. Our rooms were large, very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were good and the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The desk clerk who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The rate was good.

Parking is free on site, and very safe. A variety of restaurants are nearby and access is easy to get to the beach. There is a basic breakfast with a waffle machine, scrambled eggs, bread, and cereals. There is a swimming pool. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and outside on the walkway, we could see the bay.

They need to make more breakfast went in was completely empty

This was a great place to stay that suited our needs for our fishing trip.

There’s not enough lighting in room214. Plus there were no body wash. AND…. You have to walk all the way to the front desk for ICE!!!

We ended up canceling our second night. The toilet ran intermittently all night. The sheets were gritty and worn. The room had a strange odor. Hammering at construction site directly behind our room started at 7am. It was a weekday but after limited sleep due to the toilet running and gritty sheets it was pretty annoying

Close to everything on the coast/ Breakfast was great. Little pricy but it was a weekend and spring break. Probably the best I could get.

The parking was fine, the air conditoning was ok too, the refrigerator wasn't working

The location near the beach was convenient. There were serious security concerns during our stay. Someone attempted to open our room door at 1:40am , and maintenance entered the room without notice at 3:40pm. When we reported these incidents to the front desk, we were told our room had somehow been marked as vacant even though we were checked in. We went to the front desk twice after these breaches, but the situation was not handled in a reassuring way and made us feel unsafe. To make matters worse, I was also double charged for the stay. When I contacted customer service, the incident was largely brushed off and I was told I would have to dispute the charge with my bank. The combination of the security issues and billing problems made this a very stressful experience

Charging $20 to check in 30 minutes early is why I won’t use this company again. Corporate greed! What happened to old fashioned common sense. The room is available. I told the lady at the counter we just want to drop our bags off and we won’t be back until midnight. We were the only people in the whole complex. She said it was policy. Best Western lost a customer for life!!

Everything was nice except the fact that they told me it was $20 a night for pets over the phone and then when I checked in he told me it was 30 and then when I got my bill, it was $35 a night. Will not be staying there again due to the dishonesty in price.

From check in the girl was friendly and told us about the property. Also my husband left his glasses at the hotel and they mailed us back his glasses. We are very thankful for that. Thank you soo much for a caring staff. We were room 112

The lock on the door was missing and no chain lock either. Chipped paint and the closet doors were hard to move from side to side.

Literally our millionth time to stay here. Nancy pretty much the best front desk lady on earth, clean rooms, hot shower and a breakfast buffet that comes with waffles in the shape of Texas as the good Lord intended. Love you, Best Western. I didn't like that we had to leave.

The older lady that ran breakfast was amazing. The ladies that handled housekeeping did a fantastic job. Microwave broke, but they replaced it the next day. Breakfast options were just standard fare.

The heater in the room was not warming up at all. The young lady at the front desk offered a portable heater and a extra blanket. This was our third stay at this location and the reason is the location and affordable room rates. The free breakfast is a plus and the lady who attends the breakfast is really nice I believe her name is Nancy. She really cares about the guest and shows it by taking her job serious and it shows.

Not a good experience unfortunately! Stayed for two nights and breakfast in both mornings was chaotic with no utensils, no coffee, foods running out…etc. There was only one lady serving the breakfast and she also had to take care of the front desk! There was a smart TV in the room but it didn’t work for Netflix…. The hotel is right by S Padre Island Dr., the main road going to the beaches, so it felt safe but entering the room from dirty outside stairways was not pleasant. Not far from the beaches, so rather convenient in that sense.

Nice hotel for location. They are doing minor cosmetic work on the doors. With a new housekeeping crew, they haven't gotten completely on the same page. Our bathroom shower was not very clean. A shelf full of whiskers. I did let them know that the room was cold despite the the heat up to 81. It was a chilly, windy weekend in the channel. We will return throughout the summer for sure. We are an avid fishing family.

This was our third time on the Island, so we had something to compare it to. Location is not good. Every time you drive to the beach, you have to make a u-Turn in heavy traffic. The building is old and showing it. Cleanliness is an issue. Cobwebs above the curtains in our room. A cigarette butt was left on the stairs the whole week during our stay. Which means it was not cleaned once. Breakfast was not good, either (very few choices, eggs way oversalted, sour milk).

The room was really nice and clean other than the gap in the door frame when the door was closed couldn't use the deadbolt. The free breakfast area was really nice and clean and Nancy was very helpful. That was the highlight of the stay. The waffle bar was great and the biscuits and gravy were delicious 😋.

The staff were excellent and very accommodating, my wife and I appreciate it. The hotel seems to need more maintenance in some rooms, but other then that, we had a good stay.

Our room smelled of mold/mildew, we bought air freshener pods and clipped them onto the AC to freshen up the room - which finally made a difference by the 4th day when we were leaving. We had to ask for housekeeping several days in a row before getting new sheets. The staff were very nice, but the whole facility is severely shortstaffed. The complimentary breakfast was good each day.

I paid over 650 for two nights granted it was 4rth of July weekend. Your staff was great, the room was okay, they forgot to come and take the old towels and make up the bed, I won’t be using this location again.

Everything was good except the parking it was hard to get in and out in a parking spot because vehicles were too close behind you to back out but overall good place

This is an older property. Nice staff, the property was clean. The only criticism was the smell in the rooms. Very musty.

It was a nice place waited a bit to check in no one was a front desk, then we got to our room unpacked and they knock on our door to reconnect fridge.

The hotel sits by itself on a busy highway - walking to dinner is not an option. There is nothing else around. My mistake in thinking there was something to do on Padre Island. The desk clerk was very accommodating when we cancelled our extra days.

Rooms were very clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was so so but it was free. It's a great location to several beaches and parks on the island.

The stay was enjoyable, average. Nothing really stood out about the property. Place appeared clean only used or uncleaned was the small fridge which had a big stain inside as if someone spilled something before our stayed and just wasnt cleaned perhaps overlooked by housekeeping. Overall quiet and area felt safe.

We like the place a lot - The third year we stayed there in a row! Everything was very good except: 1) Terrible breakfast biscuits (they were cold & dry) 2) NO Internet the first night, & the staff had no clue of anything to do to fix it. It was working the second night. We'll be back next year!

It was sufficient a little dated the cleaning crew were great disappointed the pool although it was suppose to be open at 10am many of us were told to come back at 11/11:30 the pool was still being cleaned. The kiddos wanted to go swimming before check out. Also our parking was supposed to be reimbursed and three days later and we are still waiting

The room was not clean at all. Dirty floors, fridge with sticky spots, furnitures and vents very dusty, a dead bug in kitchen cabinets, dark spots on sheets, and towels. AC unit very noisy all the time was on, and the air coming from there was stinky. It definitely needs maintenance. The bathroom was clean.

The property was nice and clean. Pool was a great feature. The room was ice cold and the shower was nice and hot. The only bad thing was that our room was not ready by 3 like they said it would be. So we had to wait for a whole hour.

The room had a very strong smell like it needed to be aired out good. My nose ran the whole time I was in the room. The cob webs above the windows needs to be cleaned.

The main thing we liked about this property is that it is convenient to the beach.

Great place to stay if you are launching your boat at Bird Island Boat Ramp. The rooms are nice and there us parking available for truck and boat trailer.

Have started here often. This time started fir several days and no one cleaned room the entire stay. Had to ask for clean towels .

Ordered a rollaway over a week before my stay and was not ready in room, mattress was like an inch thick and not set up and no pillow was given

Didn’t smoke in rooms. Only outside. But they swear someone smoked in room. But the employees were smoking on balcony when we got there to check in. Was upset with them after I left I got the charge

Just keep the shower products filled. Yet again eco-crap is placed ahead of quality. Put the individual containers back out if you can’t keep the eco-crap full enough for one night. Our group had two rooms. Both had this issue.

Enjoyed my stay. Older two story motel where you drive up to your room on first floor. Clean, modernized/refreshed decor. Comfortable bed. Nice staff and good breakfast. I would stay here again.

This is a motel style. It’s needs some serious upgrades. Closet door is off the track. Fridge leaking. General lack of maintenance.

Was good except for the stale dog smell in our room. I think they need to confine the dogs to the pets only section and not put the rest of us in those rooms to smell it!

Staff very helpful and polite. The couch was very uncomfortable and tv hard to work. There was baseboard and trim coming apart and sheetrock crumbling.

Then she just about refused to give me any type of receipt for the $100 cash deposit (I was concerned leaving her the cash w/o a receipt just after she couldn’t determine how much she needed to give me in change. The floors in my room were gritty / sandy, the towels were replaced but the bed wasn’t made, there wasn’t any body wash / shampoo in the dispenser in the shower. Extremely noisy, people talking on their phone outside the room, people running back / forth. Very disappointed to say the least. I have stayed here many times and this was a disaster.
