The Hotel is under renovation which is not posted. Apparently under new owners and management. The pools was closed due to renovations. Some of the staff were not friendly at All. Didn't get her name but she worked the front desk midlenth hair in a ponytail piercings tattoos. Would ask questions she would mumble couldn't understand her. She wouldn't even give eye contact. My son's room had alot of ants baby roaches and dead ones. They had trash bags in the hall way that smelled on the 2nd floor. The continental breakfast was not good sausage patties burned/ over cooked biscuits hard and scrambled eggs has some green color to them. The ice machine were down. If the Hotel is under reservations at least put it on the Website.

We chose this hotel for the indoor pool and available washer and dryer. Both were unavailable due to renovations, and there was absolutely no mention of this in the hotel description. The hallways were hot and smelled like mildew. The room was clean and the air in the room worked well. We did not try the breakfasts after tasting the truly terrible coffee. Luckily we were spending most of our time at the area beaches. Will not stay here again.

Location was perfect but we didn't stay The whole place was under renovations and we wanted to stay because of the pool but it was closed due to renovations. We were not aware before we booked that this hotel was under renovations and the guy at the front was rude. When I walked in the place smelled bad like mold and body oder.. I would not recommend this place at all.. I had to find another location to stay at because it was bad.

The breakfast was non existent, only made enough for a handful of people. Tiles in the ceiling were missing. Door to laundry room was broke off the hinges. Our bathroom door could not close properly because of the uneven floor. Only one bath towel for a family of four. Stains on the pillows. In room 216, the occupants were locked in there room. I walked by the hotel employees trying to broke off the electric door lock to get them out.

The stay was okay. When we checked in we were informed the pool was being renovated, there were leaks in the main walking area-they had buckets and wet floor signs. The room was decent, the restroom didn’t feel cleaned. I went and wiped down with Clorox wipes before my kids used it. It was a last min booking during a holiday weekend, it felt like a “you get what you pay for” moment.

The property was under renovation. It smelled moldy, it humid. The carpet was ripped up. They did not have the handicap rooms we reserved. The pool was not open. Please don’t rent these rooms, they are going through a remodel and everything is not working. From the start checking in and using the bathroom on the first floor. Parts on the floor, no pool, ice machine not working. We had to get another key and front desk said there was nothing they could do. Imagine being locked no access to your room. We needed to call the police and finally she called someone to help her issue a key. The smell in there too it smelled damp. Over all it’s run down and dilapidated building. We paid almost twice the standard rate and it was not worth it. Breakfast was not available for all patrons and when asked if more would be brought out, they said no (it was only 8:30). The restroom door would not open and close because of uneven tiling. We asked for a roller bed for our toddlers, they never responded or provided one. Staff was on personal phone calls (on speaker) every time we saw them (checking in, checking out, breakfast time). AC was loud like something was bouncing around in it whenever it was running. We like to stay at La Quinta hotels, but this converted Hampton Inn doesn't live up to La Quinta standards, from our experience. Our first clue was the front automatic sliding glass doors were inoperative, so we had to pry them open to get to the front desk, and every time after as we came and went. The check in went quickly and the clerk was friendly. The elevator doors were scratched and the ride was slow and jerky. We wondered if we were going to get stuck. The room furnishings were dated. The air conditioning was cool but did not remove humidity, so the surfaces, sheets and carpet felt damp. The bathroom vanity and tub were stained, chipped and worn. The toilet had a pressure flush that sent a small geyser into the air. The bathroom vent did not remove moisture and all surfaces were wet like morning dew. It took 15 minutes running the bath water for it to get barely warm enough for a shower. The morning breakfast was good but only one of the four juice dispensers worked and there was no fresh fruit. Once again, nothing at this converted Hampton Inn seemed up to snuff with what we're used to at La Quinta hotels.

The first red flag was that the automatic entry doors didn’t work and we had to push them open to even get inside the building. Second red flag was I went up to the front desk to inform the staff that the television wasn’t working at all, and there was a gentleman up there stating how he didn’t feel clean in his room because of how dirty everything appeared. I went back to my room after that, and looked around and sure enough, there was mold all over the bathroom, and the bedding look like somebody had already laid across it. She was going to offer me a room right across the hall but she stepped into that room and looked around and shook her head and stepped right back out and said no it’s no good. So she showed me a room on the second floor and that bathroom was worse than the one in our room. So needless to say I canceled our stay and will not be going back there again.

Very dirty room. Sheets had not been changed and were visibly dirty and smelt like body odor. We found a prescription anxiety pill on the ground so it was pretty obvious no one had vacuumed. The whole room smelt like mold horribly. The front doors apparently had been broken for 6 months and they still hadn’t bothered to fix them. The hot water heater was broken also so no hot water. They also didn’t have any breakfast even though they list breakfast on the booking. We ended up leaving and booking elsewhere for the second night. I would not ever stay here again.

Arrived to find a toenail clipping by bed, hair clippings around and on the toilet seat, what looked like cigarette ashes on one of the hand towels, mold on refill toilet paper, likely due to a leak in the storage room. We reported all this as we were leaving for an event, and the front desk assured it would be taken care of when we returned. We were put in a different room but this time, there was a large dead cockroach, live ants, and no towels at all. Large black specks on the bed sheets, and makeup stains on a pillow case. Further, the tub faucet could not be turned off completely. This property is in DIRE need of repairs and a thorough cleaning.

At first glance, the hotel seemed nice enough for a La Quinta in Corpus. After all, it was chosen because it was the least expensive one around. First thing we noticed was the entry sliding doors were inoperable. Then 30 seconds in the building, you do notice an odor. As you go further into the elevator, then hallway then room…the smell gets almost overwhelming. The only way I can describe the odor is a swimming pool with mildew. I did not go close enough to confirm what it was, but the AC unit in the hallway had brown (rust?) all over it and the walls The actual cleanliness of the room was not bad. Things obviously needed attention (grout in bathroom & torn box spring covers). We did not get enough towels (we booked for 4 guests, there were 2 towels) which is whatever, but when I went down to grab 2 more they were only able to give me 1 and they had no more. Also when we had the breakfast there were no more plates, so we just ate waffles cut up in bowls. So if the hotel did not have that stench I honestly would have been ok with it and staying there again for a night. But I just took my pony tail down and my hair just smells like the hotel :(

The absolute worst part are the rooms. The smell of mold is strong and it’s visible in several areas. I asked for another room and it was the same. I took pictures and spoke to the person in the front desk and they admitted they are aware of the problem but provided no feedback about it. Expedia should remove this facility from its list of options or it will eventually hurt its reputation.

The first issue was when I called (6+ hours) before check in to ask if I there was a possibility of checking in an hour and an half early. The person that answered the phone was rude. It’s no issue that the early check in couldn’t be accommodated, but being rude absolutely is. The second issue was the condition of the building itself, and the parking lot. From the outside, the sign on the front of the building was hanging off. The carport over the drop off area/ front door was rusted. The parking lot had litter and random car parts and pieces of metal that could have damaged someone’s vehicle. Lastly, the automated doors weren’t working. There was a piece of paper taped to the front doors stating to “manually” open the sliding doors. At this point, I no longer felt comfortable bringing my family inside and immediately contacted Expedia and am now waiting 72 hours for them to determine if I should receive a refund or not. Look at the google reviews before booking through Expedia or any other third party, and save yourself the trouble of finding out the hard way like I did.

On the first day here to my utter surprise I found a tick on the bed and upon further inspection there were roaches under the bed. If I could include photos I would but I cant. Wifi didnt work and when it did, only for a minute or two. Elevator hardly works, hallways stink. The "gym" they had available had no working machines. The most exciting part of the stay was checking out.

It is time for La Quinta to undergo a major renovation at this hotel. Lots of broken stuff like the ice machine, the room door did not shut automatically. You had to really push or pull on the door to get it to shut. I stay on N Padre Island quite a bit and have stayed at all the hotels there, and this LaQuinta needs a Ton of help. If you are not going to renovate, at least Clean the hotel!

Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Mold on the walls and in the bathrooms. Shower curtain full with mold. Not to mention the A/c unit dripping water in to the floor. When you walked in the hotel room it smelt like mildew. I do not recommend staying unless you want to have a health issues.

The hotel looks nice when you walk in, but the first room they had us in smelled extremely moldy. I wasn't comfortable having my family in the room because I did not want my family to get sick from the mold. The second room we were moved to wasn't as pungent, but you could still smell a strong mold presence. The breakfast was extremely subpar considering we paid almost $500 for the room for 1 night! The indoor pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The hot tub was green and not working. The vending machines were not working and there was no ice in the ice machines. The door to outside on the far right side would bang loudly everytime someone walked in and it would wake us up. There wasn't a lock on those doors either, so anyone could just walk in. The list goes on, but it boils down to lack of maintenance of the property for outrageous prices! I would not stay at the property again. The only thing I can't complain about is the lady at the front desk. She was super friendly and made check-in really quick. She was also very quick to help us change to a different room when I notified her of the mold smell. Overall, it was not a good stay and I'm not happy that we wasted all of that money for a not so great stay.

We checked in and the first room smelled. And the closet door didn’t close. We went to complain and the clerk took us to several rooms until we found one that didn’t smell. In the room we ended up staying the restroom door had to literally be pulled/dragged in order to close. The room floor was noticeably slanted hence the door not closing. It was not a good experience overall we left having a bad experience.

The staff was very nice, just seemed like there wasn't enough of it, particularly during the mornings. The bed was comfortable, but I had to stack three of the four pillows to make even one decent one for sleeping. Pool water was clean and the perfect temperature, but the base of both the pool and hot tub were gross looking. I took a chance and swam in the pool anyway, but I wasn't adventurous enough for the latter. We rented the deluxe jacuzzi suite and our jacuzzi would continually drain when we tried to fill it, so the jets couldn't be used very much because the water levels were unmaintanable; it made the cost of the room astronomical for what we got. The microwave was on its last leg, and very noisy. AC was also very noisy - I actually thought people were working outside our room on the building during the day because it would get so loud, but they weren't. Ceilings look like they maybe sustained a lot of water damage at one point and haven't been repaired. Wifi didn't work for the entirety of our stay, which made for very boring inside off-time. I attempted breakfast only one of the two mornings I was there - went out around 8:30 (they serve until 9:30 a.m.) and there was basically nothing left. A tablespoon of eggs, a few sausage patties, and I think maybe 2 pre-packaged danish situations. It was very disappointing. We ended up going to the nearby Stripes for breakfast tacos instead. Good location, but not worth even half the price.

We didn't end up staying after checking in initially due to the room looking like there was a recent breaking-of-an-entry, with some damage done to the bottom of the door and blood stains on the bed sheets. All the walls and ceiling looked water damaged. Toilet literally sprayed water out the side every time it was flushed. TV didn't work. Roach on the floor. Everything felt very un-cared for. Unbelievable it was that bad and the more I thought about it the more I wanted to write this. I was scared to even eat the breakfast in the morning. I visited a couple years ago and was looking forward to staying here again as I had such a good impression originally. Now I will not return outside the maybe a morbid curiosity - id be seriously surprised if this place stays in business into next year this was the worst hotel experience staying at a hotel I've ever had.

There is rust in the bathroom, and grime under the vanity. The hallway carpets are unvaccumed and creased. There is cracked tile and filth under ice machines. The whole place smells musty and wet, but running the AC at the cheapest setting will cause that as the humidity rises in a building where you skimp on keeping it properly climate controlled. It's a shame that N Padre is such a hot tourist destination, and this rathole of a hotel is allowed to stay open and bear the Wyndham name. Dont they have standards as a brand? Where's corporate on this dump wearing their company badge? Only stayed because we wanted another night and this was a good rate, but proof positive that you get what you pay for. Only positive is the front desk lady was very nice and professional.

Outside of the property was so dirty. Dirty dippers in the grass area, broken curbs, finger prints all over the door glass and not a child height level. The floors looked like they haven’t seen a mop in a few days and the walls and floors in the elevators looked like they have never seen a mop or a towel. The hall way to my room wasn’t too bad. My bathroom tub could have used a wipe or something.

We stay here during the summer months, on& off and starting fall stays. Was there last week. All though we love the convenience, they need a few upgrades that to me are important. For one; maybe more breakfast selections. For two; maybe cleaner sheets (all though they smell okay, probably need better cleaning because they are usually stained so it contradicts the pictures ). The room carpet needs really good cleaning, I’m allergic to everything and I’m always sneezing because of it but I still love to stay here because the staff is really courteous to our needs. I always take my Lysol wipes to clean my room, only because it’s a habit and my wipes always come out clean, so I know they clean the sinks, tables etc. each room has its own mini fridge. Well the executive room does, not sure on that because we always get a room with a sofa. The pool area needs replastering and more chlorine for sure, same for the hot tub but we used the hot tub and it was still nice. Love our staff that have become more friendly to us. Overall, they make us feel very safe and are very friendly.

I know it’s the coast, but our first floor room felt like sleeping in a damp basement. Mini fridge made noises all night and our beds felt wet from the humidity. Welcoming staff was very nice and accommodating but the checkout guy was asleep on the couch when leaving around 9:30am. Had to wake him up to drop off room keys. We were first floor by the checkin desk and could hear all sorts of noises throughout the night. Really disappointed this was a LaQuinta. This was simply a $100 dollar a night hotel that should’ve been $40 a night.
