Holiday Inn Express are our favorite places to stay when we are traveling. It's a good price/value combo.
- 4/5
We had to go to the Federal Building early the next morning, so this was close and convenient because we could walk.
- 5/5
Location Breakfast a bit fast food.
- 4/5
staff very helpful
- 3/5
They have no parking for your vehicles too many vagrants downtown, who could break into them and way too many tollway zones. I will never use them again.
- 1/5
Horrible experience with false advertising of the rooms and sizes. Would not recommend.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Easy check-in, nice clean room and comfy bed. Gym was clutch!
- 3/5
Personally I should have stayed next door. I had to park my car 3 blocks away and walk back to the hotel. The hotel is very old and the walls are very thin. It was 22 bucks to park! And no in and out. Every time you moved your vehicle you had to pay22 more dollars. I would never stay there again. The breakfast was the only decent experience I had there.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Will be back again. Love dallas texas
- 4/5
Only downsides were the lack of any parking lot (nearby parking garages are a bit expensive) and the breakfast they served here was below average. Certainly edible but not exciting and made we look elsewhere for something appetizing.

Came here asked if I can cancel they said yes no problem. They didn’t let me know they were still going to charge me and they don’t even have parking. I did not stay here but they still charged me

This place sits right downtown it's next to a busy crazy intersection there's zero parking the hotel does not tell you about any additional parking availability it's next to a big music Club that's always busy and is taking any parking spots that are anywhere around there it's in a terrible location and I would never recommend anybody to stay there

This was a good location to downtown and Reunion Tower. Staff was so helpful. Only minor inconvenience was that the parking was a block away. But i would stay there again.

Pre booked Parking would have a been a nice option

- 3/5
The hotel, staff was great. Rooms were a little small. The bed was comfortable, a few kids being loud. Good location but what I didn’t like is the parking, no where to park it’s downtown but no garage a few spaces in front of hotel. You will have to find a park spot far from the hotel, I didn’t care for that. Other than that it was a good stay

Great location, waking distance to just about everything in Dallas

Great location and everything was clean. Breakfast had lots of options. Just wish they had onsite parking.

The toilet was inoperable. After several inquiries towards fixing it, we were finally offered a different room the evening of our last night there. Too little too late.
- 5/5
The lobby and everything else was nice. Nothing much really. I had a good time.

- 5/5
Amazing property and location. I loved my experience. The size of the room, it was very small and closed in space when you walk in. Someone could not sit in the chair and walk to the door
- 4/5
The only other issue we had with the property was the overall size of the room. It was tight. Not a deal breaker though. Small preference. But I really dislike "barn doors" on restrooms. Especially when the restroom lacks exhaust. So, the restroom scent floods the rest of the room
- 5/5
Our room was smaller than expected for business.
- 2/5
Overpriced. Refrigerator didn’t work. No parking.

Wonderful staff, very clean room, amazing breakfast!!

- 1/5
I never saw the room- as soon as i walked in the mane at the desk asked for my idea and credit card while he was speaking with the man in front of me-- unfortunatley i complied and waited me turn to ask where was the parking lot-- to which he replied they do not have one- i would park on the street where they had 4 parking meters and 5 or 6 cars were there already.. he said there were more on the other street around the corner- i did not feel safe about parking on the street - so I never even went to the room- i got on expedia to locate another hotel with parking-- and tried to get my money back- which the hotel declined and amount for a refund. :( so i paid for 2 holtel rooms that night and only used one of them.

Got bit by bed bugs!
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Far exceeded expectations
- 5/5
This was the most amazing place I went to
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
However, the property was clean, folks were nice, check in was easy. For the price it’s defiantly decent and mostly walkable to some good eats and sights downtown.
- 5/5
Great stay,great location,hope to be back again.perfect
- 5/5
Room was spotless and service was great
- 5/5
Very clean. Good breakfast. Great location within walking distance of Dealey Plaza. Great staff.
- 3/5
There was no hotel parking, parking did not feel safe, it was very expensive, and there was no in and out parking.
- 2/5
There was a space heater in my.room that i needed to use to warm my room.Ice maker was broken on my floor. Not a great stay.
- 4/5
It was good
- 2/5
There were way too many air freshaners constantly going off. I felt sick due to all the smells in the hotel and elevator. The rooms are very small. There are many homeless and wanders around the hotel area.
- 5/5
Yes, I would stay here again and recommend it to friends
- 2/5
The staff was overall friendly, except one lady who likes to argue. There was no on site parking. The closest parking was 4 blocks away. If you struggle with that, definitely find somewhere else to stay. Even then, you had to pay $21 every time you left and came back to park. The next parking lot was 5 long blocks away. You can go in and out per 24 hours, but it’s not fenced. At one point I was the only car. Definitely not safe alone. I kind of expected the drunks and homeless people. It is downtown. But, it was super loud at night. There was a hair on the spoon for the eggs. Staff should wear their hair in a net while serving. There were no restaurants in walking distance. The hotel was run down and rooms were VERY small! And top it off we were on the 9th floor and our rooms smelled like sewer. I’m glad we were not there most of the time and I had room spray. I would have left but there was nowhere to go. Definitely need a refund.
- 5/5
Raquel greeted me with outstanding friendliness, and assisted me with knowledge of where to eat, including food delivery services. She shared important facts of the surrounding area and made me feel so welcomed. The room was excellent, extremely comfortable bed and pillows, VERY clean room and Immaculately clean shower/bathroom.

The stay was nice… we had no complaints. Staff was nice and breakfast was good.
- 2/5
Rooms are extremely small if planning to go with someone keep in mind there’s not actual doors for the bathroom they have a barn door with a gap . Got a king bed and room was very small for the price.
- 3/5
Pact room there wasn’t much moving room
- 5/5
Amazing place i would definitely book again
- 4/5
The room at night was not as quiet as expected. Breakfast appliances were broken. Juice machines broken, toaster dangerously malfunctioning but available for useage. 😞
- 4/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
Very friendly guest service. Will rebook.
- 5/5
Great hotel for OU TX weekend.
- 4/5
No issues with quality of hotel and B’fast is good. Great location with access to light rail and proximity to historic Dealey Plaza. No hotel parking is available and must use nearby parking lot or meter parking.
- 5/5
Clean room. Helpful staff. Breakfast was great
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful! Thank You
- 4/5
The absolutely only issue i had was that the breakfast "hot" food was anytging but hot, or even warm.
- 2/5
Hotel is old and run down and there is no parking onsite
- 5/5
Excelente customer service, very polite and helpful at all times. Lobby and rooms were clean. Will definitely stay again in future trips
- 5/5
Palak was very helpful and accommodating upon my arrival. Answered all my questions and did what ever he could to help my needs.
- 5/5
Night staff was very accommodating
- 5/5
did not like the parking situation. overall eve ey thing else was great
- 5/5
Lovely employees. Very friendly.
- 3/5
Rating would have been higher if there was accessible parking for disabled persons near the property. A cockroach crawled on me while I was sitting in bed. I had an accessible room with one bed and it was nice. Wouldn’t visit again only because of the parking situation. I had a rental car and didn’t make use of it because there was no street parking and the parking lot was $20usd each entry and too far away. I took uber back and forth to my conference. I do have accessibility needs so parking was a big inconvenience for me. Didn’t do any exploring for this reason.
- 4/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
Close to downtown
- 3/5
Decent spot though it felt dated in the rooms. I got trapped in the lobby
- 4/5
The staff couldn't be more friendly. The free breakfast was outstanding. The food was plentiful and delicious. We were there for the JFK assassination stuff and could literally see where it happened from our hotel window!!!
- 4/5
staff was extremely friendly. hotel and rooms were clean and beds comfortable. there is no hotel parking. you have to pay a meter or park in a lot 1 block away. that was the negative. area was ok. no close restaurants or shops. those were located a few blocks away. overall the hotel was good.
- 5/5
It was really clean and in a perfect area for the american airlines center and i hate bugs but there were none and it was a but small but super clean
- 4/5
very clean and well sited in dallas with hop on hop of trolley almost at door
- 4/5
Acceptable clean. The fragrance they put in the halls was quite strong. Floors were a little sticky, but compared to other hotels nothing to complain about. Front desk seemed pleasant enough.
- 3/5
Keep your radar on walking outside of the hotel. That's to be expected in a downtown area. I wish that there was more convenient parking for customers. Staff was friendly.
- 4/5
The rooms are too small and the parking is terrible and not safe. My friend that was on the trip with me had problems with his air conditioning not working and the refrigerator didn’t work. There was no one there to fix the problem
- 1/5
Nothing

- 5/5
Excellent location, service and comfort!! I did not notice recycle bins, and that would have been a nice touch.
- 1/5
This property I would not recommend to anyone because of the lack of parking. You had to park a block away and there was nothing on the Expedia website that said this would be an inconvenience unless you plan on using Uber the whole time you are there I don’t recommend Using this hotel at all
- 4/5
Negative point was that Hotel does not has a parking service or valet service, the only option was a parking lot 3 block away fron the Hotel.
- 5/5
Great breakfast friendly desk clerk

It was great

Good stay and friendly syaff

Everything was good except Thursday morning water was not hot just barely above cold

It was a fine place to stay, walls were thin rooms were small, no hot water in shower. I’ve stayed worse places but also stayed at better places

They still have the
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly helpful here, and were even able to get us checked in an hour early when we arrived sooner than expected. The door required a keycard to enter, along with the elevator, which helped make my husband feel safe despite him not being a city person. There is also a DART station just a block away, which made transportation to downtown and Deep Ellum super easy and convient, even after a few drinks. Overall an excellent location if you're traveling to Dallas, especially if you've never been here before!
- 5/5
Nice hotel in downtown and very good staff. Need to look for parking on the road during your stay and no pool may be these two are drawbacks to this hotel. Rest is all good.
- 4/5
It was good for convention center access. Parking is a short walk. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Good location
- 5/5
I visited with my 13 months old, a crib was provided and the staff were very helpful. Window blinds are blackout to an extent and the cost is a steal for the service provided. Rooms are large and breakfast is provided
- 2/5
Hotel itself is older & room was small, but clean. Plaster is cracking & crumbling in places in the bathroom. I booked this assuming they had a garage for onsite parking, but they don't. You have to park in an uncovered lot 2 blocks away. There was hail expected in Dallas, so I checked out without staying the night & booked at the Hampton Inn up the road, with covered parking, and a much nicer hotel overall. I most likely would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Liked being close to event I attended, didn't like the fact no parking and had 2 walk 2 blocks for parking
- 2/5
The space is cramped as hell. Do not expect a lot og room to move around. On thr third floor where we were, the ice machine was out of service. Over all, it was just not as good as I had hoped. The breakfast was the major redeaming feature. Good spread. Eggs, sausages, muffins, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and even pancakes. We had a hell of a time trying to book the stay. DO NOT BOOK THIRD PARTY! Go through the hassle because they will lose the reservation.
- 5/5
Nice staff. Quiet and clean room.
- 3/5
Adequate
- 5/5
Es bien cómodo y bien situado
- 4/5
Location is nice but dining nearby is very limited
- 3/5
I booked this room at 10pm for 2 days but when I got there I didn’t like the area, there is no parking, the rooms are the size of a closet. The bathroom door don’t close all the way. I told the service desk that I only wanted one night and not 2. I refused to stay there another night. They didn’t want to give me a refund for the second night.
- 5/5
Terrible Parking
- 4/5
Room is small. The breakfast time is short and no water is around unless you pay for it.
- 4/5
Great place to stay while touring Dealy Plaza
- 5/5
nice walking area
- 5/5
Great hotel near Dealy Plaza. Well done. Top Notch. Great job!
- 3/5
I understand it’s an old building but please get rid of the sliding doors for the bathroom. There was about a half inch gap when the door was closed. Fine for solo trip but definitely not for family or friends. I tried using the bathroom in the lobby for a little more privacy but same with the downstairs bathroom.
- 4/5
Staff was welcoming, rooms were comfortable and cozy, a little small, but cozy. For a downtown hotel room, the location & price was great! The security guard was a HUGE plus - he was so attentive and truly caring for our late night smoke breaks.
- 5/5
Locality was very good for anything we wanted to do, walking distance. Parking was a little bit of an issue but we were lucky it was the weekend. Facilities good. Breakfast provided was a plus. Staff lovely. Overall, would recommend Holiday Inn at Dallas.
- 4/5
•Room wasn’t close to the site photos-room felt like the small cramped NYC apartment…lol •Clean & we were busy outside of room to make it an issue. •Automated air fresher systems were strong which made you question how clean it really was. •Housekeeping didn’t replace ice bag, didn’t replenish coffee supplies in room-went downstairs every time. •Workout room didn’t have water bottle filter fountain to fill up bottle-athletic tournament; this would have been nice to have.
- 3/5
Staff was great but breakfast seem like jailhouse food and beware you’ll have to walk a mile to get to your vehicle.
- 3/5
The room was decent, air was super cold but tiny! Although we didn’t need anything big just a quick stay over night! The rooms were clean and up to standards. Plenty of plug ins! The parking situation was not the best but I was able to park in the convention center lot and walk from the convention center to the hotel pretty easily. Someone said this is a bad area, I walked alone… from the convention center to the hotel! It was fine. I didn’t even see one homeless person.
- 5/5
Stayed overnight for MEPS and loved the rooms and location
- 4/5
Rooms were very small. No on-site parking. Had to park a couple blocks away for $20.
- 2/5
They do not have parking on site - I do not recall seeing that on expedias website although their webpage does say it. The

- 5/5
It was a great experience to stay in town and enjoy my vacation
- 5/5
Fantastic location in the downtown area opposite the railway station with a super view of Dealey Plaza. Staff very friendly and room was immaculate. Great place to base yourself for a Dallas adventure.
- 5/5
Close to all museums
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay
- 4/5
This hotel is in a great location. It’s in the heart of downtown Dallas We walked just about everywhere. The daily breakfast that was provided was very good. This isn’t a fancy hotel, but very clean and centrally located. We would stay there again.
- 4/5
Lots of homeless nearby
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. I slept well. Very good location for passports, courthouse.
- 5/5
Location to area
- 2/5
Requested service from the front desk that never showed up.
- 5/5
Slept very well the matress was smooth as I like
- 4/5
Hotel was fine. Smaller rooms but utilized well. They need some help with paint though.
- 1/5
The hotel was rundown and did not look like the photos. There is a horrible chemical smell throught the building like they are covering up smoke and we got a headache from it. The staff was fine when they were around, but the challenge was finding someone even at the front desk.
- 1/5
There were homeless people outside, and no where to park. Parking lot they referred us to was a block away which was a huge inconvenience and felt unsafe. We left back home and lost out on our money rather than stay there
- 5/5
By far the easiest fast check in experience Ive ever had at any hotel. And ya girl stays at a lot of hotels. The staff was wonderful! They laughed and joked with us, and were friendly and sweet. I would stay there again and again. Def changed my pov on this chain.
- 4/5
When we arrived, check in was slow, we were third in line. The front desk associate was being fairly rude to an international guest, and we felt bad for the guest. Breakfast had a pretty long window and there was a good selection of hot and cold items - oatmeal, pancakes, bacon, eggs, omelettes, yogurt, pastries, cereal etc. Generous checkout time of 11am. Our only big complaint would be construction starting directly across from our room around 5am, waking us up earlier than we planned.
- 2/5
There was no hot water in the room. There were no bananas at breakfast.
- 4/5
Older building but well maintained. The air freshener scent was a bit overpowering in the lobby, elevators and hallways. Loved the location. Eggs were gross, but everything for breakfast was fine.
- 4/5
It's fine
- 1/5
Front desk agent was unfamiliar with credit card capture. This caused them to cancel my stay while I was sleeping, give my room to another guest who attempted to enter my room late night and scare my family. Ultimately I was charged twice. Find a better option.
- 2/5
First room smelled of urine, they did change our room immediately after asking. no valet service to lot that costs $20 a day 3 blocks away, bathroom door broken and would lock close, it was a sliding door. High over use of chemical cleaners and odor removal scents in elevator and hallways. Non smoking hotel but traces of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel
- 4/5
Not thrilled with new thermostat settings. No hot water in shower Sunday morning. Room was too narrow.
- 5/5
We had a great stay!
- 5/5
Es un sitio conveniente para hacer trámites en la corte
- 3/5
The hotel was clean but its very small. I went to liok outside the window hoping for a good DOWN TOWN view but the wasn't one at all. The windows were frosted so you can't see anything vut daylight. The bathroom is not PLUS SIZE friendly. Also the parking is non existent. The reserved parking is a lot thats about a 3 - 5 minute walk from hotel. Also you have to pay to park
- 3/5
The room was too small and there was no parking lot close by if you have a person with medical issues and can't walk very far.
- 4/5
It was clean. Rooms seemed smaller than the picture but no problems.

Picture this New Year’s Eve. You go with your girlfriend to watch the fireworks at the tower, drunk and in love. You checked into your room but due to the traffic couldn’t bring your stuff inside before the count down. After the clock strikes mid night after after waiting 2 hours to find a parking spot. You two waddle your way through the lobby to your room but your key doesn’t work… The numbers written in the key match the door but they don’t work. You listen closely and you can hear people in the room YOU payed for and CANNOT get into. So you go down the the lobby where you wait 30 min for the lady hyped up off of steroids and pre-workout to stop yelling at the front desk, clerk about people smoking on the stairs. The clerk is just as baffled as you when you explain to him that he mistakenly gave the room YOU payed for away to a different person. Mind you you haven’t seen the room so you can’t even tell if the room he says he’s gonna give you instead. He’s even remotely close to the one you paid for. They said that if you wake up early in the morning, come down to the front office, they would compensate you for the whole mixup and you did just as they instructed only need to find out, it’s a different guy working the desk in the morning. He says the same thing. The other guy told you the night prior so you wait before you write this review to see if they actually follow through what they’re gonna do and they don’t. Horrible day never again save your money.
- 5/5
Check in was quick and the staff friendly. The room was very clean and the hallway and room smelled fresh. Location was very good, parking was possible in a public parking lot but no problem with short walk to hotel. There are restaurants very close by.
- 1/5
The fact that no information was forthcoming during review of website that no parking on site was available. Travelers who are not familiar with location need that information before making a reservation. Parking on the street is unacceptable.
- 1/5
I tried to cancel upon check in and this is the only hotel that did not refund my miney. I was nit comfortable parking my brand new car 2 blocks away from the hotel in downtown Dallas.
- 5/5
The free breakfast offers a good variety and quality of choice of food. The location is very convenient with many sights within easy walking distance. The nearby JFK memorial plaza is also a popular pick up point for tours etc. Hotel security is also very good. Sadly Dallas has a staggering homeless issue and some of this community can be very aggressive. At night time I advise exercising great vigilance if walking back to the hotel, especially alone. This is not a criticism of this superb hotel as this advice will be applicable to many hotels in the city centre.
- 5/5
All good.
- 5/5
Check-in was easy and quick. Other than the beds being a little on the smaller side, the room was great.
