Chicago Marriott Suites Deerfield

The staff was very helpful

Clean and updated. Only issues occurred were specific to the room it’s self. The room was humid and the water pressure in the shower was lacking.

The hotel was very nice, bed comfy, nice bar area. It is in the middle of a suburban area so it very quiet on a Saturday evening. We were charged an extra $10 fee randomly though that I am investigating.

Nice place. Stayed there on a few different occasions.

Tv in the room didn’t work for local tv or for Netflix. It was rendered useless. The bartender was not very present at the bar because he was busy running room service. I waited at the bar close to 10 min before going to the front desk to ask if there was a bartender because I didn’t see any employee activity and the front desk advised me to just wait a min. The drinks were pretty good. The room was great. Spacious and clean. Tv is kinda vital for some entertainment

We loved the blueprint of our suite. We will always choose Marriott suites if they are available.

This was an amazing hotel. Very nice room and in a quiet area. The staff were very welcoming and polite. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice stay

Loved the suite (bedroom and bath were separated from the living room space by French doors and it had a bar/kitchenette area with a sink). Quiet hallways for sleeping was a plus and a surprise given the building was fully booked. Onsite restaurant had a delicious morning buffet (extra cost though) and we also had dinner there in the evening. Staff warm, welcoming and accommodating when we needed extra supplies or had questions about the area.

This was my second stay at the Deerfield Marriott. It is clean and comfortable.

The room was not very clean and it seemed unkept. Housekeeping didn’t come in to clean or reset at all. The front desk at check in seemed to rush through the check in, didn’t discuss any amenities or offer any suggestions for anything.

Room service was terrible, they wouldn’t change our sheets with clean sheets and never gave us the right amount of towels. The last day they gave us the thin sheets instead of the sheets we first had. Front desk was rude.

I booked this property after a day at O'Hare airport and multiple flight cancellations. I was greeted and checked in efficiently, had a drink and dinner and retired to a very comfortable and clean room. Breakfast the next day consusted of an excellent omelet. Overall a very comfortable and well appointed hotel. Thank you!

The bathroom in our room was in need of a little bit of upkeep. Cleanliness was okay, but it was mostly that there was some light maintenance needed.

The breakfast was great. The building is very impressive/ also entryway.. The bathroom could be up graded. Needs a vent .. the windows needs cleaning..

Come to find out, the mold was handing from the spout where the water comes out. I cleaned it very good. It looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. I hope we do not get sick! Big turnoff. I have stayed here every time our cheer girls go to Chicago. I’m thinking I might stay somewhere else next time.

The customer service by the lady at the front desk was beyond poor may even call is horrible. I would never. Come back just for that.

This hotel is in a business park so restaurants are not very close by. That was really the only downside.

Staff were really nice, 10/10. The room is really old, 7/10. They have a restaurant and the food if ok, eatable but not exactly delicious, 6/10. It was very warm sn humid the few days we stayed there but the pool was unfortunately closed for being out of season. I hope they reconsider extending that time.

The suite room was big and nice. It was the first time I booked a hotel room through Expedia that did not include free WiFi. We stayed for just one night so we chose to use our own data. But later my credit card was charged $12.95 for WiFi without my knowledge.

Everything was really great. Including the breakfast and staff taking care of the breakfast set up in the morning. Only thing that was a little funky where the pocket doors. We were hoping they would slide a little easier. They seem to be shabbily installed. Everything else was super nice! I would come back.

The lady at the front desk had a horrible attitude and was very rude you guys are lucky my wife was there to hear it

All the conversations and noises next door came through the wall including pounding sounds. It was terrible.....There was a group of young students that night. Scary at night. The remote control and the hair dryer was sticky and dirty and I didn't even want to touch them. When I checked out, I complained about the noises, I got a half-hearted apology. Not a good experience...

The staff was extremely friendly; the room service dining personnel were professional, kind, and all-around great. The pool was very pleasant. The restaurant food very good. The staff at the desk were very, very helpful The one problem that we experienced was the extreme temperature settings in the hallways and lobby. In the elevator access areas, the temperature was constantly set at 60 degrees F; it would have been much more comfortable (and economical for the hotel!) if set at 72-75.

Beautiful scenery

Service was terrible. In check in the lady at the desk had a very bad attitude and was very short with me when I asked any questions. Then when we got into the room I realized they gave us a different room from the one I booked and when I went down to ask about getting into the one I actually booked they said they are overbooked by 8 rooms and can't do it today but the next day they can move us. I came down the morning of the next day and then the manager there told me they are still 2 rooms overbooked and can't move us still. So 3 people had to share one bed for the entire stay. Gym was nice there and room was clean but we won't be back!

Expected much better from a Marriott property. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and frankly not sleep-able. When asked for extra bedding for the sofa bed, it took them almost an hour to deliver it to the room. When I told the front desk person that I’d been waiting for a long time, he went on a mini-rant as to how he was the only person managing all calls alone. Huge mistake in booking it, only reason I booked it coz the Hilton I wanted was not available for the 2 nights we needed.

They need more carts - both of them disappeared for over an hour on a Sunday morning when dozens of folks were checking out. The front desk person didn't care and had no interest in helping track them down.

Staff was very nice and let me in my room early. Room was so nice and clean. It was a pleasure to there. Wish all hotels were like this one.

This hotel is a bit dated, but it still had a nice feel to it and was clean. The rooms could use some remodeling as things are a bit worn since last remodel was in 2007. I would definitely stay here again though, as the staff were always nice and welcoming and we were comfortable here during the 3 nights that we stayed. Overall, good experience!

Worst “Attempted” & DENIED Check in experience. I contacted the hotel the morning of my reservation to let them know I’d be arriving very late/early morning of the next day, due to a 13 hour drive. I was told by the staff who took my call that would not be a problem, that I could check in at any time during my reservation time. When I arrived at 3:30am, I was treated with the most disrespect & rude welcome I have ever experienced at any hotel/motel. The condescending attitude as if to say, “How dare you show up at this hour!”, the employee working the check in counter advised me the only way she’d check me in is if I paid for an ADDITIONAL night’s stay & even at that I’d have to wait at least 30 minutes because she was in the middle of closing out the previous days transactions. It was the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. I would never stay or recommend this Marriott property, based 100% on how I was treated & spoken to. I believe when working in the Hospitality industry, more care & compassion should be shown to customers.

Valet parking is quite expensive, but the staff are very friendly and professional. We were glad we chose to use the hotel’s valet service. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient—almost everything you’d want to visit is within walking distance.

The not so good. No garbage bags in garbage cans. Left over garbage from previous guest. No coffee in room. No bedding for sofa bed in room. Body wash was empty.

In a corporate center so much nicer than most area hotels. Traffic is far less in the area too.

Although I had asked about an early check in fee I was told there was none and it was based on availability, made non refundable reservation and was then charged 125 dollars extra for early check in .. I’ll never stay at another Marriott and will never recommend them, I felt scammed

Quiet location with easy parking. Clean lobby, with nice front desk staff. Rooms are spacious, and clean. The only issue I had was that the cabinet for the fridge was broken, and looked very unappealing.

The hotel is very nice on the outsideb but not so much when you look closer. The last 2 times we have stayed there the elevators have been down.. This time our room was so hot we dlept witb th we windoe open. The temp outside was 23 degrees.

Spacious room and very quiet

The only issue was our room had flies and no one could find where they were coming from. It was very awkward and annoying. Front desk offered to spray and we declined due to Im asthmatic and have partial collapse lung. Our entire weekend was distracted with these flies. 727 room was not good.
