Hilton Garden Inn Denton

Construction started on the exterior wall right outside our window at 8:00 am. No warning ahead of time. We had gotten in late and we contoured and then the drilling started on the wall.

Clean, well lite , great staff and good breakfast

Smelt clean on arrival- friendly staff. The hot tub was not working after a long drive thats why I booked the hotel and it wasn’t listed on site it was out of order- or else I would have stayed else where. The pool was dirty had lots of leaves in the pool.

They do not offer breakfast but the rates aren’t any cheaper than hotels that do. Our bed was broken and squeaky and maintenance never came to repair it despite making a report.

I did use the bar and ordered food to go. She was very nice and helpful and I didn’t have to wait too long for the food. Very nice.

Bar and staff are great and so is the cleanliness. My only complaint is the super uncomfortable bed that popped and made lots of noise

The room #316, has a broken hanger bar in the closet, bed uncomfortable did not sleep well. Pillows not fluffy and comfortable. Bed makes noises when rolling around on it. Everything else seemed to be Ok.

Though I did not partake in the breakfast offered, it did look and smell delicious. I did like the convivence of the self-check-out snack area with some personal amenities that tend to be forgotten. I was a little disappointed in the paper cups in the rooms since there is a full restaurant downstairs and there is capability of washing real dishes instead of producing more waste, but this really was my only issue while staying here.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff was helpful and the food was delicious. The only downside of the hotel was that the floors were tiled and you can hear people walking and dropping things in other rooms. The staff was very friendly and pleasant.

The room was clean, staff was nice; however, the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in plus the wood base made them very noisy every time someone moved it woke everyone in the room up.

CONS: We could hear the steps of guest in the upper floor, and our next door neighbors conversation, if they were watching TV we could also hear it.

The room was not the cleanest, the mattress felt worn, like it had been slept on for years. I could feel the lumps and the wood beneath the mattress. There were bugs and food left in the night stand drawer. The bathroom was not scrubbed down. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unfortunately.

I requested a handicap room and was too tired to argue with the desk and move my bags. This hotel did not live up to the Hilton name. I will not be returning.

The bed in room 306 was terrible. Hard mattress and any movement on the bed created a loud wood on wood sound. Maybe was able to get possibly two hours of sleep. Bathroom shower leaked on the floor, grout coming up between the tiles. Definitely will not stay again at this hotel.

was put in a adjoining room though traveling alone. At night trying to sleep was hearing the neighbors television shows and all of their conversations. There is a Firestation across the road from my room. Apparently a busy one. Sirens, fog horns at night and alot of loud traffic as well.

Furnishings were a bit austere, tile floors, set-in-place fixtures instead of built-ins, creaking bed, no towel rack at bathroom sink, toilet that would hang up every other flush, etc.

The staff was great very friendly, the rooms were huge and clean, amenities were great, there is a small shop/area downstairs where you can buy snacks and beverages loved that! Right off the highway and tons of parking if your renting a car, very close to the mall and local shopping if needed, Will definitely stay here again.

I would not stay here again. The smell of air freshener in the lobby and hallways, including the dining area, was so overwhelmingly strong that it gave me a headache each time I left my room. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The rooms say that they are soundproof, but there was a dog in a nearby room, barking for hours one evening, and there was nothing I could do to drown out the sound. The breakfast options were just mediocre. The scrambled eggs were absolutely disgusting and most of the other things were full of sugar and not healthy.

We did enjoy the stay, but we asked that the toilet be wiped down the first day we got there since I found hair on it and that wasn’t done.

Pillows were pretty bad. The air conditioning had a urine smell. I complained and it seemed to improve for a couple days, started the notice the odor again the last day. Also could not get cold water the the shower, also complained about that and did not notice any improvement for that.

This hotel is rather run down. I felt most of the staff was polite, Chris in particular, but one of the managers was a bit rude. The carpet was shabby and the bathroom smelled like mildew.

The hotel lost my reservation. I spent 25 minutes on hold while it was worked out. I was traveling for a wedding and this dampened my mood for hours. Maybe Travelocity should also send the hotels the confirmation reminders as well.

Air conditioning in my apartment went out on 8/3 and I booked a room for the night and it was a good experience. Clean, comfortable room and good staff. 8/4 air conditioning still not fixed, I booked another night. Unfortunately I accidentally put in the wrong date 8/11 by mistake. I had to rebook again for the right date. My bad. But since the 8/11 date was non refundable I had to use it. The first two stays were perfectly fine with no issues. The third stay, the one I screwed up on was not so good. Showed up and digital key wouldn’t work, went to front desk and got a physical key that also didn’t work, went to desk and employee had to make another key card and came to room to make sure it worked. When I finally got into my room, I went to take a shower, when I tried to adjust shower head it came off in my hand. I screwed it back on but it continued to leak. I will put the 3rd night down as an anomaly caused by me having had a long day at work and the karma of my bad attitude that day making things go wrong. I have to say, that even though my 3 stay didn’t work out as well possible, the staff was always helpful and professional and recommended the on site restaurant and other local attractions, a recommendation I didn’t need as I am a local resident but I appreciate that they are sharing information on things that available in my hometown.

Outdated interiors/rooms. 4th floor carpet is as loose as the floor feels. Even in the room, floor didn’t feel sturdy. Both night and morning staff were GREAT and the few redeeming qualities that remind you this is the Hilton brand.

I think they're incidentals charge is a little high compared to most places. But the hotel and room were very nice.

Stay was not what I expected. For being a Hilton it lacks a lot. Both phones in my room didn’t work, they were plugged in. The refrigerator barely kept drinks cool. The bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky with flat pillows. People screaming a few doors from mine, couldn’t call the front desk because phones didn’t work. Tried calling from my mobile, nobody picked up and the call dropped after minutes of constant ringing. Definitely never staying here again!

We have been awake almost all night. I have traveled a lot and requested joining rooms when traveling with a sitter when my son was young. I have never had the experience I had here! The gentlemen in the joining room was on the phone until after 1am and again starting at 6:15am. I can hear his entire call as if he were in the room. He speaks Spanish and is loud, but not loud enough I should hear him in another room I paid $250 for. We actually turned the air down to freezing to try and keep it on to drown out the sound. I am driving all day today with minimal sleep now.

I’m very hard to disappoint but this property was so well maintained and very quiet, just the type of place I like to stay at.

Everything was fine for what I needed the hotel for. The only thing that would keep me from going back would be the breakfast. I was unaware that the breakfast buffet was a separate expense as when I checked in all I was told was the time frame for breakfast and that's it. To my surprise after I made my plate and sat down did I see a menu with prices and was asked how I would be paying for the food. Everything else was fine.

Overall good hotel. Pillows were terrible and bed wasn't very comfortable... other relatives staying confirmed as well. Good location. Carpet is hallways wasn't stretched at all... actually large bumps/creases. Shower stall quite narrow as well. Breakfast is extra.

I purchased the breakfast for my 2 day stay and I enjoyed it. The regular free continental breakfast was excellent, as well - but I like my breakfast eggs and bacon. My only ding is that my bed seemed a bit firm. Other than that, it was a great stay.

I have been a Marriott fan for years but I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Denton, TX and it was amazing. The room was spotless. The people at the front desk were attentive and very polite and friendly. I joined the Hilton points program the next day.

AC was nit cooling we were told we could arrive early we had a block reserve for wedding please additional rooms my 3 rooms were not ready for early check in then i asked them to add charge breakfast to my acct then took breakfast from other of my rooms telling me we had breakfast they did give me one breakfast free but 3 of our party that were on the reservation didnt get to havd breakfast it was a disaster we unfolded sofa sleeper that had lollipops stuck on matress and trash underneath

We were in town for a wedding, and approached the front desk just before 3, when our room was guaranteed to be ready. We were told it would be another 20-30 mins, at which point we were forced to change into our formalwear in the hallway. A half dozen other people were given their rooms before us, at which point we were given a room type that we had not reserved and that didn't meet our needs. That night...there wasn't anyone at the front desk and no one to answer the phone. We had to make due without the blanket and sheets that would have made cohabitating in a single bed comfortable. And then there was the extremely limited breakfast buffet that carried a high price tag and the broken shower controls. Never again...

Property itself was fine, but i was charge a $75 pet fee that wasn't mentioned anywhere. My room was only $94. I only had a cat.

The front desk staff and the staff at the restaurant were super friendly. The hotel itself needs updating, the ceramic tiles in the bathroom, the room and other areas were lifting and you could feel them move under your feet. The bathroom grout and silicone needs replacing. Definitely needs a remodel.

The ladies attending the rooms were very nice with a little extra coffee. Everything was clean and well attended. Front desk was courteous and helpful. Go to the Old West Cafe for breakfast. It is just across the highway. The $16.50 breakfast at the hotel we never tried. It might be good but we werent willing.

Stay here all the time when I visit my son. Great place. Really quiet room which is critical. Very comfortable even staying multiple days. Excellent breakfast options. Appreciate the evening choices and bar! Restaurant staff is wonderful. Really appreciate them. Minor change to breakfast. Add loose cheese to add with scrambled eggs. Otherwise perfect! Carpet in halls presented a trip hazard

Very friendly and nice staff. The hotel is updated , clean and smells great. The breakfast buffet is very good. I booked a two rooms for me and my father and there was some issue. They went to his room at 8pm on the last night we were there and tried to get him to leave. He called me asking me to handle it. I called the front desk and they said they would check to see what the problem was and never called me back. I still don’t know what the issue was. Other than that everything went great!

This is a beautiful and modern hotel that is exceptionally clean. The front desk staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The lobby has very comfortable seating and the room was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

A nice place

We arrived late in the night. The hotel was brightly lit and front desk staff awaiting our arrival. We got to our room quick so we could sleep. Great snack choices at the 24/7 snack shop.

The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was inviting and well-lit. The site said "pet friendly", but i was charged a 75.00 cleaning fee that wasn't listed. It was irritating because we got there in time for bed and left super early. Chihuahua was in her own bed and no trouble.
