Reviews
The Ritz Carlton in Denver receives mixed reviews, with guests praising the staff's friendliness and attentiveness, as well as the hotel's location. However, there are consistent complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms, issues with amenities such as the minibar and shower, and a lack of certain facilities like a pool and spa. Some guests also feel the hotel is overpriced for the quality of the rooms and services provided.

Property is clean but dated. Spa service was good but amenities could be better. Staff was great, room was spacious and comfortable. Just needs an overall refresh.
- 3/5
The Denver Ritz Carlton was a disappointment. The front desk staff were not helpful or friendly. The WiFi went out during the stay resulting in no Internet or TV without warning or explanation. There was no offer for a shoe shine or other special services such as ironing. We made our own dinner reservations via Open Table as the Concierge said it would be difficult to obtain a same day dinner confirmation. Deliveries are left on a table with no staff to bring it to your room. There just was no extra effort that is typically expected of a Ritz property.

Really great staff .
- 5/5
ALWAYS was great for lunch/brunch and breakfast.....delicious food and not crowded at all. I chose the hotel because it was walking distance from the event that I was attending. Only the carpet in the room seemed like it needs replacing, other than that the room was excellent.

Did not get to test the Spa services this time.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay, staff was friendly and personable, they seemed to enjoy their jobs rather than being there just for work. Spa was great bed was comfy overall everything you would want from a luxury hotel but without the snob!
- 3/5
Plus side - Michelle is a gem. Champagne offered at check in.

Amazing stay and staff!! Loved our experience!!
- 5/5
Everything about the Ritz is amazing.
- 5/5
Amazing!!!
- 4/5
I think it was a good stay
- 5/5
Staff was courteous however, the restaurant and bar closed early. The pillows were to small and the mattress to firm. Other Ritz properties have different bedding.
- 5/5
We broke up our family vacation on the way to the mountains in order to stay at our favorite Ritz Carlton! Just a dab of luxury in the midst of down-home family time puts a skip in our step and eases tensions and stress.
- 2/5
The hotel is generally outdated, pillows and linens are in dire need of an upgrade. Spa and hotel staff were good, but restaurant and bar staff were rude and unaccommodating.
- 5/5
Everything! Nothing

Room was not ready on time. They did upgrade us but the room’s bathroom was so dark we could not see. They then brought in a floor lamp for the bathroom. Someone signed for our Amazon package delivered to front desk but they couldn’t find it and never offered to reimburse us.

great hospitality

To many bums around
- 2/5
I was made to pay 150% of my Expedia charge to check in. I already paid through Expedia with Affirm
- 4/5
There was mold in the bathroom shower, large tear in the rug and the furniture needs updating. Room service was average but everyone from front desk, valet and bell person was very good.
- 5/5
My only knock is they don't have a pool. Otherwise it would be perfection.
- 5/5
I LOVE staying at the Ritz it is a favorite of mine. I don't sleep well in hotel beds but the Ritz is another story. My only knock is they don't have a pool. Otherwise it would be perfection.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel , received 2 free welcome drinks . The hallway outside of our however , was under construction- looked like it had flooded . Was disappointed with that .
- 5/5
The staff and service are absolute top of the line!
- 5/5
They were very accommodating!
- 4/5
It’s not as good as other Ritz hotels I had been in
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room service was great. Special thanks to Katie from guest service to accommodate the personal requests & making the arrangements.
- 5/5
Amazing stay for our first time at the Ritz. The staff was so great and the price was very reasonable.
- 5/5
From the elegantly appointed rooms to the thoughtful amenities, The Ritz-Carlton delivered an elevated experience in every way. Spacious accommodations, refined hospitality, and a dedication to guest comfort set it apart, proving that true luxury isn't just about price—it's about how you're treated.
- 4/5
We did have some noise above us (we were on the 2nd floor). Not sure if there was a housekeeping room on the floor above but we heard a lot of dragging of things and banging around long after 10pm. We ate at Elway's on the first night and it was ok. My salmon was undercooked and again way overpriced. I wouldn't eat there again.
- 5/5
The staff especially the wait staff at breakfast and the spa- top notch!!! Comfortable room, well appointed. Everything you would expect from a Ritz. 5 star all the way. The lighting in the bathrooms was harsh.

Superb
- 2/5
For it to be a Ritz Carlton it was poor even lost water one complete day had to go out to shower
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
This Ritz Carlton was very disappointing. My room was not very clean, finger stains were all over the closet handled, stains were on the wall and the carpet needed some cleaning. This hotel also doesn’t have a swimming pool. I have stayed at other Ritz hotels, this one is far from Ritz Carlton standard.

We had a short but wonderful stay at the Ritz. Comfortable beds and pillows, along with nice toiletries, and plenty of room, were the highlights for me.
- 5/5
Treated our family amazing.
- 5/5
From check-in to check-out, our stay was superb.
- 3/5
Staff was amazing Felt very used and in need of refreshing for being a Ritz

- 5/5
I had an amazing time at The Ritz Carlton Denver, location is great for catching a football, baseball, basketball or hockey game. Great location for downtown Denver. Would definitely stay here again!!
- 5/5
We had just an overnight stay here, but this Ritz Carlton did not disappoint. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and a short walk to all the restaurants on 16th St. I will definitely stay there on my next visit to Denver.
- 1/5
700 hundred for one night amd theres scuffs on everything, years old dust, and the light didnt work
- 3/5
Nice hotel, room cozy, just cold. The temperature didn’t work in the room. The lady who welcomes your in, didn’t speak to me nor ask if I wanted a drink. I noticed she did ask everyone else who came in. The serve at elways for breakfast forgot to bring the sausage that came on my plate. Got it at the end of my meal. For what I spent I wouldn’t come again.
- 5/5
It’s comfortable
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay. Our room, while well appointed, was a bit dated with dingy carpeting.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in a nice location in downtown Denver for a weekend “staycation”
- 4/5
But the staff was fantastic!
- 5/5
The bathroom was large. The beds were pretty comfortable. The staff is great. They are all so friendly and helpful. The restaurant Elways on the premises has good food. We ate there quite a few times. I would stay at a Ritz Carlton again as it was a great experience.

Breakfast
- 1/5
This is Not A Ritz Carlton! Tattered furniture, not clean- major street noises all night firetruck and police sirens. Tv didn’t work . The restaurant rejected us in the dining room twice saying they were fully booked. And sat us in this booth corner table- here is a picture of how booked the restaurant was…Not nice at all! Just overall terrible. Denver needs help as a whole . They should not be open as a ritz Carlton. Should be more a days inn.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great location! Pet friendly. Staff was amazing, will book here again!
- 3.5/5
The food and accommodations were outstanding. The television movies were not working
- 4/5
Room with somewhat dated
- 5/5
Although this property did not have a pool, overall we had an amazing stay! The staff was so friendly and attentive. Thank you for making our time in Colorado memorable!
- 4/5
The hotel was clean but insufficient staff to assist at checkin. No help finding a nearby hair salon and restaurant food was not the best. In a great downtown location and rooms were nice.
- 3/5
Not up to par for the price you're paying at a Ritz. Wrappers in the couch that wasn't folded out / made up when we arrived, numerous issues with service and accuracy of orders at breakfast, etc. Valet staff was fantastic though. Hope they make some needed improvements.
- 5/5
Amazing property. Staff was wonderful. Room was superb.
- 5/5
Great staff and service, beautiful and comfortable room
- 5/5
Great staff, great hotel.
- 3/5
The service at breakfast and food is really good. Ive been to ritz carlton in other countries and i wish the ritz in denver is as grand as the other ritz
- 5/5
Great location downtown. We had a very comfortable stay. Valet misplaced our car keys and needed an extra few minutes to find them and accommodated us for the short wait
- 5/5
PURE PERFECTION
- 3/5
Then there is no refrigerator in our room (special diet needs) because of some upgrade. They bring us up a broken one which ruins our food and meds Otherwise hotel lives up to Ritz standards
- 5/5
We celebrated our babymoon and had an amazing time. The staff even memorized that I had tea and offered to send it to our room. They really made us feel welcomed and relaxed during our stay
- 3/5
Construction. We were never told. Very limited services. No bar restaurant. Disappointing for a Ritz.
- 5/5
Great hotel, great staff!
- 5/5
We ordered room service, it was timely and delicious! Room was quiet and restful. Loved our stay!!
- 5/5
Nice
- 0.5/5
Everything would have been beautiful for our posse, me and my roommates. It never got put into motion. Judgmental and unwilling to make any exception.
- 3/5
Everyone was very nice and helpful. My room had not been dusted, the deep soaking tub was dirty and the pillows were very flat so it was more comfortable to sleep with my head on the mattress.
- 4/5
Jackson 5
- 1/5
It wasn’t that great as you would expect at the Ritz. No shuttle service, no spa entrance or club entrance for guests. All added fees. I was impressed with the service either.
- 4/5
We were given a bottle of champagne and macaroons for our anniversary wich is awesome. The staff is all very friendly aside from valet who seemed to be in a rushthe breakfast was great just overpriced, figures. Tv was a little wierd getting used to and we were only giving one big towel to share, there was also toilet paper rolled up in the bathroom floor.
- 3.5/5
Room was very spacious Room was not available at 4pm for check-in. There was a delay of two hours due to the room not being clean. Staff was very nice about the delay and provided a credit but it was very strange - I’ve never had such a significant delay.
- 5/5
I took my guy there for Christmas Eve. We stayed in the Executive Suite. Great room... everything was great. I'll definitely stay at Ritz in the future.
- 5/5
We loved our stay. Our bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. We felt like we were home and cozy. I was nervous booking with the mixed reviews but we 100% had the 5 star experience. I will stay here every time I’m in Denver from now on.
- 5/5
Nice. Bed was not super comfortable like other ritz Little dated restaurant atmosphere
- 5/5
Great hotel, not the best area
- 5/5
Room was large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast also was good.
- 1/5
Probably the worst Ritz Carlton I have ever stayed at. Only a single elevator worked. Service was bad. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took me asking for a waiter to get service. Door staff weren’t helpful and preferred watching the Broncos. Overall a poor experience and it’s disappointing considering I pay the premium to avoid these issues. Look elsewhere when in Denver.
- 5/5
Experience was excellent.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
The parking lot should be closer or be more convenient. Don't like valet parking.
- 5/5
Really nice place with great staff. I would have liked a house car and more dining options.
- 5/5
Highly recommend the Denver Ritz-Carlton. Every staff member is courteous and extremely helpful. The bathroom itself is worth the stay. 10/10
- 5/5
amazing customer service.. made life a little easier and that was very nice
- 5/5
As always, amazing experience.
- 5/5
Amazing Staff and beautiful rooms. Great anniversary spot for good dinner and content sleeping. Alor from the front desk was an absolute star and the nicest girl we’ve ever met!
- 5/5

Great place
- 4/5
We had molded cheese and rotten meat in our fridge
- 5/5
Very very excellent , 5 star hotel .
- 3/5
Didn’t feel like a Ritz and not to the standard of a 5 Star. No sauna, only steam and only with a day pass. Tea in both rooms but no way to get hot water, had to call and request. No slippers, had to call. Couldn’t have breakfast because “kitchen is backed up at least 45 minutes”. Regular traveler and not impressed.
- 4/5
It was good but not very good.
- 5/5
Excellent hospitality
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and the staff was great!
- 3/5
Location is good, and room space is good.
- 5/5
Very nice amenities, staff was great throughout. Only downside was the available dinning, not much to choose from and not the best flavor.
- 4/5
On a good note, the food and service at the property's restaurant ELWAY'S was excellent. We dined there both nights.
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful, food, service was what one would expect! Worth the money!!
- 3/5
This property is in dire need of a renovation. The spa was beyond disappointing and feels like its about 40 years old (which I believe it is). The bar, restaurant and spa are so dated. We ended up walking to the Four Seasons to enjoy their restaurant and multiple bars and wished we could've moved hotels.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, the hotel was really dirty.
- 5/5
The Deluxe King room was super ample and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a great meal at Elways which is connected to the Ritz
- 5/5
Utilized a suite for our family and it was very spacious and comfortable. They brought us a fridge and were extremely accommodating. Valet is easy and helpful, and overall had a great time. Highly recommend. You could tell the hotel is a well-oiled machine.
- 5/5
This property has a beautiful view of the city. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a true delight. Isaiah was extremely helpful in getting us comfortable after our room issue and getting us switched into the room we had requested. All of the room service staff were very friendly and kind. All of the staff here were just amazing. Thank you for all of the hard work!
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Overall it was amazing from the property to the staff etc.
- 3/5
We arrived around 10:30 PM due to flight delays. There was no food service at hotel or within safe walking distance. 24 hour room service is a must for this level of property and for the amount paid.
- 2/5
Definitely not a Ritz Carlton caliber hotel. I don’t know how they keep the brand. Even with the “COVID effect” on service it wasn’t acceptable. We’ve stayed at many Ritz properties and own a residence in Chicago. Some things were worse than a road-side motel like check in and overall service. It started immediately… The two bell-hops standing out front not assisting anyone looked at our van pull up let the driver unload luggage for six and when we stated wheeling the bags in the front door looked at us and disappeared. The check-in was comically and painfully slow. Those in our group that don’t stay at luxury hotels were confused. None of us said anything and we remained patient as we were definitely not going to let poor service ruin any moments of our trip. Book elsewhere if you are looking for good service or a typical Ritz. I never would have believed I was in a Ritz if the signage didn’t say so- top to bottom. Very disappointed.
- 1/5
My room wasn’t vacuumed. There was a wet spot between the beds.
- 5/5
Great location, easy to get to restaurants and points of interest.
- 1/5
I’ve stated over 50 Ritz Carlton’s around the world, but this property never seems to have their act together. We were not allowed to check into our rooms until 8 o’clock at night. We waited for over four hours and the rooms were still not correct. This is the second time it’s happened here, and there were several other people in the lobby experiencing the same thing. The staff was nice but there’s no excuse to be this way under the Ritz Carlton brand.
- 5/5
Incredible service, super clean, very comfortable.
- 5/5
Stuff was great
- 4/5
We had to ask for soap. The toiletries were not stocked in one of our rooms, but when they were, they were all off-brand and not from the hotel. I know this isn’t a big deal, but we paid A LOT to stay there. Also, our room wasn’t that clean. There was debris on the baseboards and in the corners of the rooms. The staff was great, but they need to fix some things at the hotel to garner those prices.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was very responsive, the spa is wonderful and everyone seemed friendly and helpful. Overall we loved our stay here and would book again the next time we are in Denver
- 4/5
We loved the room. Staff was really great. Area was terrible, really terrible. At one point, there was a drunk homeless man in the lobby that I watched for 10 minutes and finally I had to tell a staff member that he needed help.
- 4/5
My hamburger at the restaurant was so burned, it was so bad. I went to Elway’s the night before at Cherry Creak North and that was outstanding but it wasn’t the same at the hotel
- 5/5
We had a great time and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Would stay again next time in Denver.
- 3/5

- 5/5
everything was perfect
- 5/5
The entire stay was extraordinary. It was clean and the service was ama ing.
- 5/5
Everyone was very helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and amazing
- 5/5
We checked in around 4 PM when many people were checking in. It was timely and efficient. The staff were friendly and the food from Elway’s, it was great
- 5/5
All around amazing hotel. Wish it had a better view but still beautiful.
- 5/5
Great staff, very clean, held to a high standard, an all around great experience
