Comfortable bed, nice fitness room Ground floor carpets needed updating. Some wear and tear in the building

The breakfast room attendant was a delight and was very diligent in managing the breakfast room.

Breakfast was good and parking was easy. The room was spacious.

I was surprised that this hotel wasn't nicer, since it's linked to the Mariott brand. It was not well maintained, the WIFI didn't work, and the staff didn't care to help resolve it. Normally that wouldn't be a problem except my son needed to do homework online. The pull out bed's mattress was thin, dirty and incredibly uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay here again, but do want to mention that the included breakfast was better than average.

Older building but clean. Stayed for several days while my son recovered from surgery. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Great staff. TV selections could be better. Overall very happy and within walking distance of Denver Health.

Not what I was expecting and the free WiFi was nonexistent. Not the best part of town. Can understand why it’s a 2 star location
- 3/5
Room was not what was pictured, and was right off of an off-ramp from the interstate sonit was very loud.

It was a decent hotel, there were some noticeable maintenance issues, but is located right next to the hospital and lots of sirens. But, for the price it was just fine.

Everything was excellent for the price and convenience of passing thru town on a road trip. Thank you! The room was very clean and lots of space. Staff was very nice and helpful. Free breakfast was great too! Free parking.

The traffic noise was so loud that we only got about 2 hours sleep. The traffic quieted down at 3:00 am and started again at 5:00 am.
- 3/5
It is listed here as a two-star hotel, but the price isn't two star and the amenities and quality aren't either.
- 5/5
The location of the hotel is convenient to be close to the Downtown. The staff is amazing! They are friendly and helpful all the time. Although the building is old, the rooms are cozy and have everything you need.
- 5/5
Very good rooms. You’ll have everything you need in your room, including kitchenware.

Close to Denver health hospital Ridiculous prices in their mini Mart. Lobby. Coffee was never hot. Staff never stayed behind the desk. Number one. Elevator is downright scary. Breakfast is the same as any other breakfast buffet.

Staff was absolutely terrible. The owners son is one of the rudest absolute swine I have ever encounter. He asked and called the police who just left cause he’s such a joke but threw me my wife and two dogs out in 20 degree snow at 3:00am cause just like me he thought I was suppose to check out tomorrow so instead of just letting me pay for the night and leaving the next day he made us leave with our dogs at 3:00 am after dealing with the police for no reason other than his spoiled punk syndrome. Rooms are filthy no breakfast absolute nightmare do not stay here there are plenty of hotels that have some class and appreciation for your money.

I don't know how Marriott allows this hotel to bear its name, and I have no idea how this hotel has a hotels.com rating over 8.0.

I had a great stay. The staff was very professional. And the room was exceptional, the breakfast in the morning was very good. I highly recommend staying there
- 1/5
Worst bed I've ever slept on. Kept rolling to the middle because the mattress was worn out. Way to soft, and bad pillows. Towels were small and thin. I book a hotel room to sleep and couldn't sleep at all in that bed. Awful night. So glad we were there just one night.
- 3/5
The deadbolt didn’t work on the door and the trim in one of the bedrooms was falling off.
- 4/5
Nice, pleasantly designed.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was excellent. Our room was near a side door so it was pretty busy with people coming and going all night. Room was a little musty, but after a day or two it was fine.

Staff was friendly.

This is a smaller, older Marriott property but is clean to a fault with a warm and friendly staff. Plus it was reasonably priced!
- 4/5
A little dated, but a great value for the price and location
- 3/5
They did not clean our room after the first night.
- 4/5
We will stay here again. Very friendly and professional staff. Comfortable rooms with everything you need.

We will stay here again whenever visiting our daughter. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

- 2/5
This Marriott property is probably the worst Marriott property I've stayed at. The property is old, has a smell to it, and the lobby is not very welcoming. Definitely, the rating of this location is way off. It is in a location of homeless people, which made sense after seeing the security guard at the hotel door. I was really disappointed to have been overcharged for such a old hotel. I would dare a corporate person from Marriott to stay here.
- 3/5
Room was noisy facing main road, window didn’t close properly. Breakfast was a crapshoot every morning, something was always missing: milk, eggs, sausages, etc. Will not use again
- 5/5
Breakfast served typical items. Very attentive staff. Broke my phone charger and front desk associate lent me hers for a few hours. Very considerate.
- 3/5
The staff, the breakfast, the location Needs a refresh - it’s a bit dated
- 3/5
Overall, this Marriott should be a nice place to stay. It's an old building with some hallway smells and a rickety elevator, but the staff were friendly and the rooms mostly updated (but showing wear). The location, though, makes it a 0 return for me. All night, groups of cars with engines louder than emergency vehicles raced through the streets and by the buildings. I could not sleep and that is the whole point of paying for a hotel. This was a sadly terrible experience.
- 5/5
The staff are very helpful and were very welcoming. There are a variety of decent restaurants nearby, but no shopping or convenient stores around for a bit more grocery shopping. I always love the fact that they have a real refrigerator and not a small one and a microwave to heat up my left over foods that I brought back from the conference, which was a 30-minute walk away. However, the neighborhood felt safe since their mostly residents walking their dogs at night and a lot of them work at the Denver Health building in front of the hotel and is actually across Denver Health’s guest parking lot. The vacant parking lots at night seemed to be worrisome. I would say take caution when walking at night.
- 2/5
When I arrived to the room on my night table it was covered w dead bugs. There was no one to help w my bags and I have arthritis so it was too hard to change. I took a picture and showed the receptionist. I was so tired I couldn’t handle talking to a manager, my hands really hurt. Workers ion the breakfast nook were exceptionally nice.
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean and not outdated.
- 1.5/5
The kitchenette was outstanding. The room was great. They "lost" my reservation twice AND charged me twice. So, that happened. Wish there was a hot tub.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice, room was great, and so was the free breakfast, which had scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, bagels, drinks, etc. Close to the train station, restaurants and bars.
- 3.5/5
The rooms were nice and pleasant! Great location. The breakfast was sub marginal. The muffins were old and stale. The hot items were okay, but had no idea what the sausage muffin was, and it tasted bad. A good selection of yogurts and cereal. I liked the oatmeal selections and toppings. The bananas were getting old.
- 4/5
The refrigerator was a bit crap.
- 5/5
Had everything we needed for a stay. Cute kitchen, comfy bed. Hard to find on the little spur street. Google map was no help.
- 4/5
Great location & friendly staff. Housekeeping didn't come till the 3rd day and only because I asked. No pool.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Seems a bit older, but it was clean and had everything I needed, including a full kitchen. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The room was not clean
- 4/5
Toilet seat and lid should be replaced
- 3/5
Bed was clean, but pillows too soft for me at least and we stayed thursday night through monday and only cleaning/changeout...we thought we'd get one more at least. It's not the easiest hotel to find but its in a good location. I don't know if there's been major staffing changes since i last stayed here (probably a year or two) but I hope things improve although can't say i'll opt for the double room "suite" again.
- 4/5
Nice place No compaints
- 4/5
The lobby is pretty much non-existent. The rooms are clean, plenty of room, but a bit rough on the edges. It was very quiet and very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice Location, Walked To Restaurants and Bars, Lots Of Parking.
- 5/5
Great place
- 1/5
*room needed odor control...carpet had dog odors.
- 4/5
All the front desk Staff was awesome, but one of the women was wonderful. She is probably the best and I've traveled a lot!
- 5/5
The fridge and kitchenette saved us hundreds. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Great service & staff was excellent
- 4/5
Location is perfect for those who like to walk to restaurants, bars, attractions. The staff was exceptionally nice and made us feel welcome. Hotel breakfasts are rarely amazing, so there's that. I don't love paying for parking at $25 per night. For coffee in the rooms, I would prefer the small cups of creamer vs. powdered cream, but not a huge deal.
- 5/5
Room was clean, front desk was helpful, breakfast was good.
- 1/5
no room service no clean towels
- 4/5
Good price for access to downtown
- 5/5
Our second stay at this hotel. Staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating, highly recommend!
- 5/5
the staff where helpful
- 5/5
Staff was awesome!!
- 3/5
My bathroom sink kept getting clogged and on my last two days the water never drained and maintenance wasn’t available until the day I left.
- 3/5
Location was a bit noisy, shower didn’t drain, room needed a refresh
- 5/5
The customer service was absolutely impressive
- 5/5
Despite the lobby is small, the room is spacious. It's a comfortable experience to stay here for 6 days.
- 4/5
Nice area
- 5/5
An affordable nice property
- 5/5
The front desk staff were very friendly, and I even received a small welcome gift when checking in. The breakfast is better than many hotels of the same level, with a nice variety that changes a bit each day. It’s about a 20–30 minute walk to downtown and the Denver Convention Center, which is really convenient. I noticed that many of the guests staying here are attending the AERA conference as well.
- 4/5
The property is a bit dated, but they keep it clean and well maintained. Its very centrally located with a variety of food & shopping with in either walking distance or a very short drive.
- 5/5
Breakfast left a lot to be desired and I had to duck out early to avoid the FOX “news” on the TV. That was the only negative
- 4/5
We expected a big lobby, a bar. The hotel in general was very outdated. Drawers of cabinet under the TV was broken. We did have a pleasant visit 😊
- 1/5
Not good
- 1/5
Did not honour booking due to bad overbooking system
- 5/5
Everything was very clean and comfortable. Tons and tons of outlets, you'll very likely never lack for a spot to plug in just about anything in the whole space. And the location is great for enjoying the local nightlife.
- 5/5
Everybody that worked at the front desk was awesome! Tatiana even let me check in a couple of hours early because we travelled early to beat the nasty weather.
- 4/5
Beds were a little worn. Otherwise good easy place to stop over
- 4/5
It was cool for the price.
- 4/5
It was a place to stay
- 4/5
Nice, convenient place to stay. The rooms are large and very clean.
- 5/5
Great stay and great room.
- 3/5
It's a nice, quiet and clean hotel. However, they slap on an extra $150.00 in incidental fees when you check in instead of having included when you book online. Also, the woman who works the check in desk during the day was quite rude and condescending when she informed us about that fee and her attitude towards us didn't change when we checked out the next morning.
- 5/5
Checkin was smooth, arrive was frequent and attentive and breakfast was varied and enjoyable
- 5/5
An excellent budget friendly stay for those needing to deal with a loved one in Denver Health. Excellent staff.
- 4/5
Long term or short
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very helpful and nice when we had an issue with our door. Clean facilities. Quiet location. Would stay again
- 5/5
The woman who checked us in I think her name is Lou Lou was very helpful, kind, and professional. It was a quiet area and the breakfast was ok especially with Carrie she was so friendly and helpful! Overall great stay and we will definitely stay again if we go to another game in Denver.
- 5/5
It’s walking distance to stores. If you Have a loved one at the hospital it is perfectly located to be near your loved one. Staff was wonderful
- 5/5
Our stay at TownPlace Suites was excellent. The breakfaat was far better than any we've experienced in the Denver area. The staff was extremely friendly and more than willing to help with any questions.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Nice and quiet location for being in the heart of Denver. Really nice check in with bottled water and granola bar gift. Super friendly staff. Room is really nice and has anything you need - including a cozy bed and soft pillows. Well lit at night - i felt safe coming back late. Heater/AC unit was so nice and quiet - sometimes they can be so LOUD. I really like this establishment and would stay here again.
- 5/5
Front desk atendant at checkin was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She deserves to ne acknowledged for her performance.
- 5/5
I needed a place to stay in Denver unexpectedly. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled across this property simply by it having the lost cost. I had a wonderful stay and will absolutely be back, even if I have to pay more. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful —morning and night. Room was very clean and quiet. Also, felt like a relatively safe area despite being so close to downtown.
- 0.5/5
Roaches everywhere
- 4/5
Such a convenient close to downtown is reasonable in price. The service is clean and silent. Just like home.
- 3/5
Overall it was a nice place. The area is funky to leave from but easy to get into. The pillows were terrible/flat.
- 1/5
They had bed bugs there and I was covered in bites. I had to throw away all my clothes
- 3.5/5
Good
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
After a long stressful day driving across snowy mountains, the staff at Towneplace Suites went above and beyond to make my family feel comfortable. Barbara made sure we had everything we needed and put a smile on all of our faces.
- 5/5
Host was very helpful and professional.
- 3/5
Plenty of options for food within walking distance. Surrounding area is OK, comparable to a lot of big cities.
- 5/5
Worked nights for a week in downtown. Clean and quiet. The kitchenette was perfect to help keep costs down and eat on my own schedule. Breakfast at the hotel was good for dinner and the staff are very friendly.
- 5/5
Every thing was very good
- 5/5
Came into town for a comedy festival and this place really felt like a home away from home! Loved that my room had a big fridge, a stovetop and other kitchen stuff, and I'll definitely utilize it better next time. Place is about a mile away from a lot of nightlife and restaurant options, and there's usually a lot of scooters in the area you can ride to and from super quick. My only complaints would be that there were some weird spots in the bathroom that could use some better cleaning or repairs, and that sometimes in the mornings people stomped down the hallways, but overall the place was really quiet. As a first time Denver visitor, I will certainly be back soon because I loved this place and this city!
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was decent, staff was friendly. Could have been cleaner.
- 5/5
We loved the fact that we had everything we needed in the suite and it all fit so well together. The breakfast was awesome and the staff was very accommodating. We would stay again if given the opportunity! There wasn't anything we didn't like, seriously.
- 2/5
Location is unusual. Uber could not find the hotel
- 3/5
Starting to look alittle "worn" needs a minor update.
- 5/5
Excellent service, clean rooms. Definitely recommend!
- 2/5
No breakfast as display. One day had rotten bananas / old muffens!. Coffee was nice to have. Over price snacks. Microwave works like crap. Coffee maker isn.t doing good. Wouldn't stay there again. Won.t let upload pics!!!!!
- 2/5
Shower drain was clogged, there was unflushed toilet paper when we entered the room. Overall just didn’t feel very clean.
- 4/5
Property is showing it's age, but it is very clean. Water pressure was great in the shower. AC worked great, beds were comfortable in my opinion. Next to a hospital I was worried about being woken by sirens, did here a couple but not many
- 5/5
For a 2.5 star hotel, it is goid value for money. Good breakfast, clean rooms, snd friendly staff. There are homeless who hang out around the hotel however, they never bothrred us.
- 5/5
Amazing stay!!!
- 5/5
Great place to stay within 15 min walk of the state capital and 25 min to the convention centre and 45 min to union station. There are shops and restaurants within 10 min walk. Room was very comfortable and stafg very helpful. No noise from the nearby hospital and the hotel was nice and quiet. Good breakfast and snack/convenience bar in reception for anything else you might need. Will certainly be back!
- 4/5
This hotel was far from all the good restaurants - leaving after the sun went down was a not a very good safe feeling. Alot of bums walking around and druggies
- 4/5
Very nice hotel, and very nice all people at front desk. Breakfast simple but ok. Includes parking for free. Quite area. Near to many eating places. Near to Capital building. I would only recommend to change carpet because of humidity smell. Humidity smell
- 5/5
When we checked in, the front desk attendant advised us that the room we booked had a broken AC unit, but she was able to put us in an accommodating room. It was better than what we booked and she allowed us to stay the duration of our vacation! The staff was very nice and helpful when we needed additional toiletries. We all had an excellent stay with our kids and dogs!
- 5/5
Great! Great!
- 4/5
Every was excellent. But we went to breakfast and not so many options. Went to use some hot sauce from the table and it was expired I had even switched it out with a different one that had still been sealed but again that too was expired. Overall the our stay was good.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! The suite was exactly what we needed as a family of 5. It was really nice to have access to a kitchen because kids are hungry all the time. The staff is superb, they answered all of our questions and were extremely accommodating. The breakfast was delicious.
- 5/5
Great experience.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the room & breakfast
- 4/5
Just an average property
- 5/5
This was a great option for an extended stay for a softball tournament
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly at check-in. Hotel room was very clean and cozy and beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything one could need to cook a meal. Better non-stick pans would be a great upgrade. Tried to cook in the pan and everything stuck and caused room to fill with smoke even though my food wasn’t burning. Had to go buy one. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and guest services were helpful when we had questions. Hotel is right next to a hospital so there was some outside noise but tolerable.
- 4/5
Great location, great parking. Had a small issue with the shower but it was fixed the next day! Staff was great!
- 5/5
Great free hot breakfast.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing
- 4/5
Helpful staff and good breakfast.
- 4/5
It was fine for a stay with a family, we appreciated having separate bedrooms in the suite. The beds were not the most comfortable though. Some good quick and easy dining options nearby but I wouldn't walk around at night.
- 5/5
Excellent management and front desk staff! They really cared about making our stay enjoyable.
- 3/5
The door lock did not work
- 3/5
The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The condition of the furniture and general maintenance were appalling. The living room chair was ripped, dirty, and stained. The replacement they brought in was dirty and stained. Window screens hanging off and full of holes, mold around the bathtub.
- 5/5
Great service by everyone! The best part is location so close to everything! Will stay again!
- 5/5
Great room. Clean, quiet. Accommodating.
- 4/5
Great location and morning hot breakfast included. Decent shower and bed
- 5/5
However once we checked in the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room we got was clean except there was crumbs in the kitchen floor. We notified the front desk and they immediately gave us a new clean room. We stayed for 4 days. The room was super clean. Seemed like a safe area to stay in. Our car was not messed with all week in their parking lot. Really good breakfast.
- 4/5
This hotel has just the basics…. Comfortable room, basic breakfast ( although, there were problems everyday with supplies running out ), and Smoking in the rooms, which permeated all the hallways.
- 5/5
Love to stay here ,close to Target,Walmart, etc
- 5/5
Great friendly staff. The payment plan for parking is kinda nonsense since it wasnt mentioned anywhere and way too expensive for what it was. Also what was with your art? Why is every floor just 14 copies of the same thing? Again staff was phenomenal
- 5/5
Staff was so kind and friendly! Favorite in Denver!
- 5/5
The sites are clean and kitchen has everything you need.
