    The building is not maintained. There are stains on the walls and holes in the carpet. Worstly though the first room we were given had blood on the walls boogers on the lampshade and dirty sheets. Every surface is worn down. In the second room there were fewer stains on the walls but the walls were a disaster. There was bodyfluid on the bedskirta and the ac was either freezong or not working. The hallways were also full of scuffs and debris. it looked as though they've never been vacuumed.

    The room was good , but the hotel carpet needs a change or a clean , it gives a bad appearance , the night receptionist was depressed did not like his job , not even a smile , poor guy , maybe he qas tired and depressed , i don t blame him🙏💛 but a little smile would have been nice 🙏 but i was grateful to have a clean bed and place to sleep and a roof . 🙏🌷💛✨🇬🇹

    Pool was dirty. Shuttle ends at 8pm. Their idea for a side “meat” for breakfast is cut up hotdogs. The bar/restaurant is closed and has been since December. Phone in one of the rooms didnt work. Walls are dirty and scuffed.

    The hotel is a good distance from the airport. Not much within walking distance. The carpet in the common areas is filthy and the walls in the rooms are covered in scoff marks. Breakfast was eggs and cut up hotdogs. Too many other airport hotels in Miami to use this one.

    We booked this hotel because of shuttle availability. I booked 2 rooms. The shuttle ended at 8 pm. The cruise shuttle was not free and only available one way. The ATM was broken. The pool was filthy. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting. The eggs were wet. The side meat was chopped up hot dogs. I am so disappointed in this experience.

    When I checked in the receptionist at the front desks, asked me for card for incidentals. They charge my card for $100. I told her and she said that they were returning the money. It did not return to my card. The shower you have to run it away before time to have a shower hot water The whole system went down for almost half the no Internet, no phones no TV

    Nice location, comfortable bed, close to the airport. Staff weren’t overly helpful, but we didn’t need much help. Breakfast was a little skimpy on the offerings, depending on your taste I guess. the only fruit was an apple and the only tea was earl grey. The meat was sliced wieners (breakfast), but if you like waffles, there was a waffle maker. No bagels or toppings for toast (except grape jelly).

    Initial impression was good. Our room was clean, but several things need addressed. The pillows were atrocious. Four small ( kid size) pillows for a king size bed? Flat as could be. There was peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. And the breakfast was lacking. I’ve never heard of cut up hot dogs soaking in water for the breakfast protein. No fruit and very few choices for juices or yogurt. We will not return to this location.

    Unfortunately, I missed breakfast during my stay and opted instead to enjoy the convenient restaurants found a neighborhood away. The gym is very basic but the treadmill worked so no complaints there. The bar appeared fully prepped but was not opened to patrons. Wingate needs to hire inside and not lease to 3rd party companies for bartending services. This was an enormous tease. The enormous upside is with the staff. Great people and incredibly helpful. I’d love to enjoy another stay but not until the bar issue is resolved.

    The staff was excellent! The room was clean, but I don't like the idea of it being cleaned every three days. That means it's never cleaned if you're spending the weekend. I looked at the breakfast to decide if I was going to eat there or elsewhere. Presentation was decent, but I don't like the idea that the "sausage" was hot dogs cut into pieces. We ate elsewhere. There are fast food options that are close by: Denny's, McDonald's, etc. You will have to drive to something more upscale. I like the small microwave in the room. The carpet in the hallways is clean but a bit worn. Consider replacing and do so on a more frequent basis. Door frames could do with a bit of touch-up with paint. It will freshen the hallway and remove the scuffs from luggage. Nice variety of restaurants within walking distance: Cuban, Japanese, Colombian, etc.

    Independently owned hotel with lower standards of hospitality and care. Staff is lovely and hotel is clean and well built generally speaking. Breakfast is very low quality. In addition they will charge you $50 for being 15 minutes after check out time of 11:00 am. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot, but low quality shower head and they skimp out of offering conditioner. Minor stuff but for $250 a night does not meet value expectations.

    The down stairs was pretty nice, however the rooms show deferred maintenance, the sheets were so thin you felt like they were going to tear any moment. The hallways were looked like they only vacuumed once a month. The windows let so much noise in from the airport, it was hard to fall asleep. We didn’t stay for breakfast because our flight left super early so I cannot comment on that. Overall, I would have spent the extra money to stay somewhere else.

    HORRIBLE! We stayed at the outset of Spring Break so we did NOT expect a reasonable price, but we did expect a fair value especially for an airport hotel which was anything but a resort. What we got seemed abusive. While the building is relatively new and clean (except for the filthy and damaged carpet in the hallway) and designed like a budget hotel, it was SPARSE AT BEST. The room was minimalist. The toilet flush was startling loud. There was no tea in the room, only one serving of regular coffee and one serving of decaf. (There is no coffee or tea in the "lobby", and coffee in the breakfast area was very limited in duration unless you use the pay-per-serving coffee machine). The "breakfast buffet" was an insult. The "sausages" were pieces of lukewarm hotdogs, LITERALLY. The scrambled eggs looked reconstituted from powder and virtually white. (I did not have the courage to try them.) The make-it-yourself waffle was rather tasteless. I got to "enjoy" my "breakfast buffet" in a breakfast room where I could see three televisions but if I did not have a fundamental understanding of Spanish then the only thing I would have been able to understand were the constant Car Shield commercials. I do not recommend this hotel, even if you are desperate for a room before an early morning flight!

    Buffet breakfast was AWFUL. They provided cut up hot dogs in the tray labelled "sausages" . The coffee was totally watery and you had to pay to get a good coffee from the machine. there were NO tissues in the room or a luggage stand and only 1 teeny small shampoo for 2 of us. They messed up and added a $55 charge which my credit card notified me about so i could fix while still there. The onsite restaurant was not open.

    Absolutely disgusting and unkept rooms. Filthy. Stains on walls, floors, ceilings. Broken lamps and furniture. Poorly staffed. Overall appearance was under par. Over priced for filth. Disappointing shuttle service. Don’t offer if you can’t accommodated personally, would prefer th Wyndham shuttle over ride share or taxi. However, not helpful when no service after 8pm. Why? This makes me think it’s a safety issue which is quite concerning

    Breakfast was great. Staff was amazing and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only problem or like issue I had was the pool said it was heated, but it was not. It was very very cold. We couldn’t even swim in it. It was so cold and it was 84° outside. We booked the hotel specifically for the pool and couldn’t swim in it. A bit disappointed. But everything else was great! Oh yeah the free shuttle to/from MIA was great too!

    front desk staff "threatened to cancel my reservation" because I was upset that they couldn't find my second room reservation and then blamed me and Expedia for the mistake. She never looked any further into the issue just threated to cancel my reservations that I had prepaid/ Will never stay at a Wingate again.

    The airport shuttle was extremely disappointing. The shuttle only runs once/hr.We arrived at the shuttle pickup location, called the hotel & were told the airport shuttle would pick us up in about 15 minutes. We met another couple who also had called the hotel to request the shuttle pickup. After 30 minutes passed & the shuttle didn’t appear, we called the hotel again & were told the shuttle driver had skipped picking up guests & we would have to wait another hour for him to pick us up. In response to my question whether we would be reimbursed if we arranged for an uber for us & the other couple (about $35) since the shuttle was supposed to pick us up but didn’t, the front desk person stated no, they would not reimburse us. Both Ariel the shuttle driver as well as the man at the front desk were VERY DISAPPOINTING.

    Our plane landed after 9:30. I was unaware that the shuttle stopped at 8 PM. That’s on me. We Ubered to the hotel and got there around 10:30 PM on a Friday night. The restaurant and bar was closed, so food and drinks were scarce. The 2 nights we were there the POS system for the 24 hour mini market for snacks and drinks was down so there was no way to get any refreshments or snacks. The front desk did let me know that there was a gas station convenience store that was a 5 minute walk away but offered no other options or support. The breakfast was deplorable. The scrambled eggs were clearly powdered and reconstituted. The coffee the first morning was cold. The only fruit offered was apples. It was sad. Will not rebook.

    Our flight was cancelled and we scrambled and lucked upon the wonderful art displayed by this property. We had great hot showers and incredible sleep and were ready for the shuttle to the airport the next morning. We saw the breakfast buffet and it looked awesome, but alas, we had to head out and missed the smorgasbord.

    Issues: 1. We were at this place for 2 days, but room service never showed up though we didn’t hanged any “do not disturb” tag. It was late for us to report this on day 2. 2. The food quality & diversity was very basic including plates/glasses - you will notice this as long as you step in. 3. In the entire hotel, I never found a moment when a staff member I encountered was welcoming. Front desk just randomly checked in, room service lady passed by several times but no smile no hello no nothing. She saw us leaving the room one day, but never cared about cleaning it for Day 2. 4. While we checked out on day 2, again the front desk didn’t cared to ask how was our stay or anything along those lines. Just asked for room# and took the door cards and that’s it. I think a customer deserves at least to provide a feedback. I’m a regular traveler and this stay was one of my low experience this year, so wanted to share.

    We stayed here this past week for 3 night the free breakfast was terrible they labeled sausage but it was slice hot dogs. I couldn't believe breakfast was the same thing every morning. The workers there said same thing everyday no change.

    I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The carpet didn’t seem properly vacuumed, there were hairs in the shower, and I even found a long hair on one of the pillows. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and unfortunately, it wasn’t met during my stay.

    The staff was extremely unhelpful. The airport shuttle is only at set hour, where as other hotels in the area are every 45 mins 24/7. Not for their lack of shuttles, 2 empty shuttles were sitting in the loop by the front door while I had to call an uber. As two of the employees were out front hanging out with the shuttles. The shower had mold growing in them, terrible lighting and terrible patch jobs were previous repairs were attempted. Overall with all the options in the area for “airport hotels” I would choose another one!

    They didn’t clean my room and when asked the guy at the reception he severely told me that it was done at 11 am. Then I asked the cleaning lady and she said that my room wasn’t on the list. Carpet was dirty

    Very good location. Clean hotel--but the property and amenities could use some updating. Towels were very thin. Staff was friendly. Restaurant had very limited menu. Free breakfast was sub-par. Scrambled eggs were not warm, but milk for the cereal was. One choice of fruit--apples, only white bread available--no wheat bread or bagels. Would have been better to have pre-packaged muffins.

    We waited on the airport shuttle for 2 hrs at the airport. The AC in our room did not work, stayed a constant 76 degrees in there. Woke up to a random 50 dollar charge from an overnight employee (front desk lady was very noce and helped us get that refunded). Staff was very nice from what we saw. Breakfast was okay. I personally would stay elsewhere.

    Front desk at check in and check out was extremely rude! I told her to please be kind and have a nice day and she rolled her eyes at me and said something in Spanish. We all have bad days but the next day wasn’t any better. Hotel was moldy, our towels weren’t clean, the frigates was broke, the coffee pot had leftover coffee in it and the bathtub/shower wasn’t clean!

    We stayed at the hotel after arriving in Miami to board a cruise the next day in Ft Lauderdale. The airport shuttle was very convenient and perfect! Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. We walked to a local Mexican restaurant that was a short walk down the street. Nice hotel for one night stay.

    The hotel is not necessarily in a good area, there is nothing around you. The pillows and bedding were terrible although bed was comfortable. We waited a long time for our dinners and they didnt arrive at the same time. Shuttle only runs once an hour.

    Very comfy bed and nice room, easy parking and situated off a main road so it was nice and quiet for an airport hotel. Restaurant wasn't open so I recommend ordering Papa Johns. Breakfast contained powdered scrambled egg and tasteless oatmeal and you had to pay extra to get decent coffee.

    Was disappointed when we asked for more towels personally to the room attendant and was disregarded! Room was not tidy or bed made! What were we paying for? When we dropped off our rental car at the airport and called for a shuttle back to the hotel we were told it would be an hour and a half before someone was there, this was at 7:30 in the morning. We had to pay for an Uber 😡
