Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also a highlight, with many guests appreciating the proximity to downtown Durango and its amenities. However, some guests have issues with noise, either from neighboring rooms, the game area, or construction.

Clean room great location only thing bed was hard

Elevator was out and no one informed us until we checked in. I'm 64 and had a recent broken knee. We had to carry out luggage up 3 flights of stairs and use those same 3 flights anytime we left and returned. Shame on you!!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff! We got back to our room in the evening on Valentines Day to find a very cute goodie bag outside our room for our Daughter with snacks, candy, and little toys from the Hotel staff. We really appreciated the kind gesture. The hot tubs work great and sit on the 4th floor with a nice Mtn.view. They sell Starbucks coffee and although it's from a machine the Chai Latte tasted no different than buying it from Starbucks itself. We loved our stay. We will be back!
- 4.5/5
Brilliant facilities. Great having own kitchen and balcony. The communal areas were well maintained and presented. Pleasant and friendly staff. Location is great for exploring downtown too. $16 per night parking is a little excessive for paying guests.

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful.

staff was awesome. made my granddaughter a towel animals / misc. treat. were pleasant and friendly to our entire group

Location, comfort, and fantastic staff. Absolutely nothing.

Location, comfort, and fantastic staff. Absolutely nothing.
- 5/5
Nice surprise that laundry plus detergent was free if you wanted it. We didn’t need to take that option.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly. We felt like we were staying at the happiest place on earth! Also I cannot stress enough how clean this property is!!! Only negative is having to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Staff is very friendly and check-in was easy. The room was spacious and clean. The jacuzzi was my favorite amenity! The train station, gift shops, and restaurants are just a little walk from the property. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
We had a very nice stay. Great location, good amenities and a nice staff. Room was nice, quiet, but a bit in need of a refresh. A small snafu at checkout but the staff was helpful and attentive. Overall great a stay.
- 4/5
Hotel was in a fantastic location- could walk to everything. Very clean. Staff was friendly. Hot tubs were great! Disappointed that they only had Google TV, that you had to pay for coffee in the lobby (but basic coffee was available in the room), and pay for parking.
- 4/5
Great hotel and staff, however the construction and train station next to it made it very noisy
- 5/5
My partner and I really loved the location of this hotel. It was really easy to get to main street and to walk around the to the things that we were going to. The hotel was really clean and the staff were so warm and welcoming. We will definitely be staying again! I don't recall reading on the hotel description that we would have to pay for parking during our trip, but we were informed about a week beforehand about this. It wasn't much and not a big deal but it was somewhat of a surprise.
- 5/5
Love the location, walking to all sorts of shops and restaurants. Very comfortable bed with terrific bed linens and towels. The only recommendation I have is to offer better quality toilet paper and face tissues. They were so cheap (1 ply) it really takes the overall quality of the stay down a notch.
- 4/5
Great location. Staff friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We didn’t actually stay at the club Wyndham Durango. The day before we were supposed to get there, we got a phone call from somebody that said we had been re-roomed at the residence Inn for some reason. The residence Inn was very nice.
- 5/5
Staff friendliness and accommodating our requests went above and beyond! Property exceptionally well maintained and clean. Easy to contact the property before we arrived when we had needs and questions. There's nothing I would change---everything was great!

Excellent accommodation. Time-share style, car parking just outside ($10/night). Walking distance to historic town center for pubs and restaurants, and to the scenic railroad station. Spacious comfortable room. Nothing

Did not like $12 a day parking fee not known till we arrived. Could not sit on balcony because diesel fumes were so noxious. Very thin walls, so heard my neighbors. Nice walking distance from shopping. Nice rooftop hot tub. Clean. Good cooking situation. Pleasant front desk staff. A/C worked well. Good communication with staff. Free laundry and free laundry soap.
- 5/5
Very nice place with exceptional rooms.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful with local recommendations. Resort was clean and had everything we needed. Location is great - can walk to the train depot as well as the historic downtown shops and restaurants!

It’s pretty sweet to book 7+ months out, get a confirmation 2 weeks ahead of vacation, then get bumped 2 days before stay to a hotel because condo owners came to town. Thanks

Club Wyndham is an excellent choice for staying In Durango
- 5/5
Beautiful place
- 0.5/5
Stay was cancelled at short notice due to overbooking and we were relocated to another hotel
- 5/5
Super convenient location to train depot. Walk to downtown. Will stay there again

Stay was cancelled at short...
- 4/5
The shower head was terrible. Get with the times and get one that is mobile.
- 5/5
If in the area again, would definitely make this location our "go to."
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional. The staff was so helpful and kind.. not just the front desk.. even the maintenance men went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room was clean and perfect for our family. The location was great with everything we needed in walking distance but also in a quiet corner of the town. The hot tubs were great and we were able to use the hotel across the street’s pool, which made my kids happy. We checked out multiple board games from the front office and played pool, Pac-Man and foosball in the game area. I used the laundry area during our stay and everything worked great! We will definitely be staying here for all of our future Durango stays! Nothing! There was a lot of construction going on the building across the street but the hotel made us aware of this the week prior to our stay. The construction did not bother us at all.

The property was very nice. It was quiet, the room was spacious and easy walking to the downtown. Would stay here again !

Location is great! Easy to walk to train station and explore the town. Enjoyed the jacuzzi. Batheroom is small.

- 5/5
Quiet and comfortable. Excellent staff.
- 5/5
One of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at.
- 5/5
This is our go-to in Durango. Keep it up - you're a superstar!
- 5/5
Everything about the resort was top notch with only 1 exception. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. The staff and cleanliness were on point and the location was perfect.
- 5/5
We love staying at the Wyndham! It’s an apartment instead of a room, so that makes it so easy to cook or eat in. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. The free laundry is also a great perk!
- 5/5
Very comfortable. Sunset and Smelter Mountain from the hot tub!
- 5/5
The staff was extremely welcoming and informative.
- 5/5
Full kitchen with all pots utensils, etc... The walls are a little thin, but it appears that they try not to put tenants next to each other when that's possible, so it was only an issue for us on the first day.
- 5/5
The rooms were very modern and provided a full kitchen with plenty of sitting room. The office staff were friendly and eager to meet our needs. We had a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
It was a great stay. I was shockingly surprised that it was so nice for what we paid. We definitely intend to stay here again with our families. Really kind staff and their systems and processes for check in and check out are seamless and easy.
- 5/5
The staff at the Club Wyndham is exceptional. They deliver a top tier quality of service. The property is always clean and well kept. The mini apartments have a full kitchen and are stocked with everything you would need. They are great for extended stays
- 5/5
Friendly staff and nice amenities - we got an Easter Basket on our door!
- 5/5
All of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially those at the front desk.
- 5/5
We have stayed here before and decided to come back for this trip due to the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. The staff during our stay were all amazing! The front desk team has to be one of the friendliest hotel staff I have ever interacted with. The property is clean and well maintained and is starting a renovation later this year. There isn’t a pool, but the property has two rooftop hot tubs overlooking the Durango Silverton train station and foothills in the short distance as well as a game area with foosball and a pool table. Restaurants and shopping on Main Street are all within easy walking distance. I would readily recommend this property to my friends.
- 5/5
Very attentive staff. Everything was easy and in good order.
- 5/5
Amazing experience would come here again
- 4/5
The next day, we were told that the people next door had brought a stereo system that they set up in the closet with big speakers. Well, guess what? Those speakers were right against the wall that is shared with our unit (and specifically the bed as well). They left for the day the next day and left the music going even while they were gone!! Who in the world does that? The front desk was very nice and apologetic, but it was after the fact since they were not there during the night.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean, the location was great!
- 5/5
We loved this hotel. We were looking for a place that had a kitchen byt was also close to the main area of Durango. This was excellent and the kitchen was perfectly stocked for what we needed to cook. Also loved having a separate bedroom area. We will definitely be coming back. Everything was in walking distance for us.
- 4/5
On the day of check out we received a notice about fees for extra dirty condo and late checkout. That should have been presented to us at check in not check out.
- 4/5
They charge for parking but go up a block and you can park for free. There is currently construction across the street and the noise sometimes creeps in. Property is descent and the staff were friendly even though in checking they were really pushing the parking charge.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 3/5
Overall it was okay, the biggest issue was the mattress on both the bed and the pull out. The bed mattress was EXTREMELY hard and the pull out was thin and looked more like a mattress topper than an actual bed. We tried to sleep on both, but sleep was HORRIBLE. My guests in the adjoining room left after the first night due to not being able to sleep. The bedding was also scratchy and uncomfortable. The rooms are very tiny so beware if you are looking for luxury, comfort, or space, this is not the place. The bathroom is also tiny with a lowered ceiling for anyone who is tall. It was not worth it, highly disappointed in the rooms. The resort itself was located in a great location and the hot tubs were nice as were the staff, but the sleep matters more so it's a NO for me.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay!! Just off Main Street where the shops and restaurants are located so you can leave your car in the private lot and walk everywhere. Very comfy king-size bed, great shower, and a full kitchen. We drove the San Juan skyway one day and drove to Mesa Verde another day. I would HIGHLY recommend them both. Durango is fabulous and this place is perfect!!
- 5/5
The room/suite large, well equipped, comfortable, very clean
- 4/5
Construction around the property made it noisy and very congested. Rooms are odd shaped with limited ventilation. Staff was amazingly friendly and very helpful
- 5/5
The property was in the perfect location for exploration.
- 4/5
Quiet location and proximity to train station were strongest points.
- 5/5
Easy access to town and Durango Tourist train.
- 5/5
The customer service and communication was exceptional!
- 5/5
This is one of most user friendly hotels I have ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, convenient with a friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
We loved our stay here! Alex at the front was amazing! We would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Really enjoyed being within walking distance of the historic downtown. Made it easy to explore and get to the many restaurants.
- 5/5
I greatly appreciated the washer and dryer being available. Staff was exceptionally nice. Location was great for riding the train, shopping and dining (Durango has a lovely Main St). I would happily stay here again.
- 5/5
The perfect stop for our stay. Meet up with other family members and it was nice to have a place for the whole family to relax. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone going to Durango. Just a short walk to the railway museum, main street stores and restaurants.
- 5/5
I was staying here after a medical procedure. The staff was so kind to me and was willing to accommodate my needs. I was very cozy in the room as well.
- 5/5
Great property! Would stay there again.
- 5/5
We stayed here for almost a week due to a hospital procedure. The hotel was super clean and user friendly. It had a small kitchen that worked really good during recovery. Would recomend staying here!!
- 5/5
Very nice, quiet, clean place
- 5/5
Staff, and location were perfect.
- 5/5
Great place new favorite for Durango.
- 5/5
One of the most enjoyable stays at a hotel in a long time.staff answered any questions with the same upbeat attitude not seen lately.above and beyond expectations will definitely try to book again or recommend to anyone traveling to Durango Colorado
- 5/5
Always a pleasure staying here! Kind and friendly staff as well as excellent location fir downtown activities! Highly recommended-
- 5/5
As a family this was a wonderful stay and more than likely will be our choice hotel when we stay in Durango again. The price point for what you get amenity wise is hard to beat. Having a kitchen in our room was amazing with it fully stocked for use. It was one less thing to think about. The privacy was nice too. It is a unique stay and completely user friendly.
- 2/5
Way too hot in the room. Very uncomfortable. Was told by front desk to open the window and turn the fan on. It is 15 degrees outside. Willl not be staying here again. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful aside from this issue.
- 5/5
The staff is absolutely fantastic. They were more than willing to help with any and all requests.
- 5/5
I love this place
- 5/5
This was our first stay at Club Wyndham of Durango. The rooms were quiet and relaxing. Environment was safe for our 2 and 4 y/o. Staff was helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
The staff were so friendly and really went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
- 5/5
We stayed 2 nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was GREAT especially for the price. We were very pleased.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Durango. Within walking distance to good restaurants, shopping and the train:
- 5/5
The staff was professional, friendly, and engaging. The facility and the room was spotless.
- 5/5
Great lodgings in an excellent location, easy self-parking, walkable to shops, restaurants and close to the railroad station
- 4/5
Exceptionally friendly staff and a clean, comfortable room conveniently located near Durango’s main attractions.
- 5/5
The property is located at the end of a street with virtually no foot or vehicle traffic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great room. Ample parking. This is now our go to in Colorado Springs!
- 5/5
Good location. Within walking distance to train, downtown area & bus/trolley stations or stops.
- 3/5
Too loud since it was on a four lane highway (racetrack)
- 5/5
Great place with outstanding staff. We will definitely stay here every time we visit Durango. It’s centrally located, has free parking, and free laundry/washing machines. Each room has a small kitchen so you don’t need to eat out everyday. And the staff was so friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and clean,
- 5/5
Great reception! Great staff.
- 5/5
This place was very clean, and access to lots of shop and next to Durango trsin station. Very nice jaccuzis with with great view..would recommend.
- 5/5
The dining table was too tall for the chairs and there were some issues with cracked tiles in 4 places in the bathroom. It was very centrally located especially if you were taking the Durango to Silverton steam train. If you stay at this facility it is a 5 minute walk to the station. The front desk provided maps which was most helpful. It was also great to be able to cook a meal in the well-equipped kitchen.
- 5/5
Nice spacious rooms. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Such a great property! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
- 5/5
I can’t say enough positive about this hotel. The location is great and it’s so clean! The full size kitchen has dishes and cooking utensils! And a large fridge/freezer! My kids loved the pull out sleeper sofa and the king size bed was in a different room! So nice for added privacy! And did I mention it was clean??? It was literally spotless! Even the elevator was clean! Highly recommend and will stay here again!
- 5/5
Well maintained property, free laundry nice machines, extremely friendly staff, convenient to everything downtown.
- 5/5
This was a great place for a quiet retreat. No pool on premises and posted quiet time. Very close to Durango train station for Durango/Silverton Railroad train. Walking distance as well as to historic Durango with lots of restaurants.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay, restaurants were close enough to walk to same with shopping. If visiting Durango I would definitely recommend!! No breakfast there but you could walk across to best Western which we did not do. I thought everything else made up for that. GREAT PLACE!
- 5/5
The front desk staff was welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown Durango.
- 5/5
Great apartment, good equipment, silent and comfortable, very well located in Durango.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay. My only complaint would be that for a three-night stay, we only got one package of coffee. When I called down to see if I could get another package I was told that they were out until the first of the month. We stayed at cheaper places on our trip and had no issue getting coffee for each day of our stay.
- 5/5
Loved this timeshare property. Super clean and spacious. Exceeded our expectations.9
- 5/5
We liked everything. Close to downtown, the train station, the room was wonderful and having a kitchen, balcony and free laundry was excellent. Highly recommend, would stay there again.
- 4/5
Staff was awesome
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly!
- 5/5
We loved this place. It was very nice, clean, comfortable. Associates were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
This was a nice motel very close to downtown walking distance close to the train ride nice kitchen
- 5/5
Perfect location, great amenities, super friendly staff, clean, safe and well appointed. What more could you ask for??
- 5/5
Great place. Second time we stayed here while in Durango. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. The only thing is since it's an extended stay type of place there are kitchens which some people must take real advantage of. The first time each day our floor smelled like curry. This time it smelled like what I thought was corned beef (but my vegetarian wife said it was curry again) each day. Don't get me wrong, I like curry but only for dinner not as an air freshener.Thankfully the smell stays in the hallway.
- 5/5
My husband and I stayed here while on a ski trip. We loved the idea of being able to prepare some of our own meals versus having to constantly eat out. The room and resort were very clean and the staff was amazing. The only complaint was that we were on the 2nd floor which is right next to the “Commons Area” and it would get loud at times.
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic. I was the greeted warmly and chosen as guest of the day. Very sweet gift basket left in my room. The next day was Valentine’s Day and every room had a treat bag left. So precious as my husband passed away in December. They had no idea. Very awesome trip and can’t wait to get back!!!! Thank you Club Wyndham.
- 5/5
The entire hotel was very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Location is also great for spending time downtown.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean, close to shops, entertainment and restaurants. Hotel staff was welcoming, accommodating and friendly.
- 5/5
Excellent suite, comfy bed and good location.
- 5/5
Super place that is well updated , full of amenities big and small, clean, friendly. But if you stay on 2nd or 3rd floor you might be bothered by noise coming from billiards and foosball fame in large noisy atrium. We actually enjoyed it but several others came out of their rooms to complain even though we weren’t loud with voices but just crashing of foosballs and pool balls is Loud throughout the area. Loved the free high quality washer and dryers and detergents. Loved very large fridge and oven and stove and microwave . Biggest downside was king size bed that was way too soft and thus killed my back. Otjer than the subjective problem of soft beds this place was well worth the money. Neat to see and hear train coming by every once in a while.
- 4/5
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms have good accommodation and well supplied with all that you need. The location is great if you want to be able to walk to downtown shops and restaurants etc.The only downside is that the hotel is noisy. We had an adjoining room and the doors were not soundproof at all. We could here every conversation, the TV, microwave etc. Same could be said for any noise in the hall way, the door was not sound proof at all, there was a large gap under it. Thankfully we did not hear any noise in the bedroom and so our sleep was not affected.
- 5/5
Overall excellent stay
- 5/5
This was absolutely the best place we have stayed. The staff was unbelievably friendly! The entire place was the cleanest we’ve ever stayed at. We would rate this a 10 plus!!!!! We are making this an annual trip!!
- 5/5
Great place to stay. The walls are a little thin so some noise can get through but overall friendly staff, great amenities, location win out
- 5/5
It's situated in downtown Durango so it's easy to get everywhere. It is clean, quiet and very well arranged. I'll stay at Club Wyndham in the future for sure!
- 5/5
Very friendly and clean. Close to downtown Durango.
- 5/5
Best place I’ve stated at! 10 stars if I could rate that!
- 5/5
Great location convenient walking to train station and downtown shops and restaurants. Easy check in/out. Had everything thing we needed and probably one of the cleanest properties we've stayed. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Excellent and great location.
- 5/5
Room was quiet
- 5/5
There was nothing that we did not like. Everything about our stay was fabulous. The facilities were outstanding and the location was just perfect!
- 5/5
We were very pleased with our room, very clean, modern, and very quiet. As shown in the pictures, the room features a complete kitchen, including everything that goes along with it. There is also a small dining room table that seats four. There is a small balcony off the master bedroom that is perfect for catching a breath of fresh air. We stayed at the Wyndam due to its proximity to the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The train station is about a 5 minute walk from your room. The entire downtown area is within a 5-10 minute walk too. We never used the car from check-in to the day we checked out! Didn't have a chance to check out the amenities but they were all open and looked well maintained. If you are looking for great place to stay that is convenient to the train and downtown Durango, this is it!
- 4/5
We did not like the darkness of the living area--only window opened onto the common corridor and provided minimal light in any case.
- 5/5
The wyndam was nice to stay at but a lot of businesses are closed during odd days. There hours of being open with so many tourists don't jive very well. I wish they would be open at more convenient hours.
- 5/5
We appreciated that the property was close to the downtown shops and excursion locations.
- 2/5
Great Location. We booked 3 rooms on the same reservation months in advance, and none of them were close together. Horrible costumer service. You can’t use COVID as an excuse forever!
