Clean and well maintained. Breakfast starting at 630am was pretty inconvenient for my stay. At least allow access to fruit / toast before.

The location and amenities

I have never left a review on a hotel before but felt this one really deserved it! Our family of 5 had a short stay but the amenities were great, the staff was super helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Also - just up the hill (walkable/wheelable) is Ska Brewery — excellent outdoor atmosphere, kids playing in safe natural areas while adults enjoyed a beer. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and hospitality from all employees, Ordell in particular. Ordell was kind, friendly, hospitable and very helpful. He exemplifies what a hotel employee should be. Hotel is immaculate and welcoming. Definitely would stay again.

The breakfast that was provided was very good, above and beyond my family's expectations. The pool area and hot tub were very well kept and supplied. So many clean and quality services and touches that made our stay so delightful! We'll definitely look to book here again and recommend to friends and family. Its hard to say there was anything about it I didnt like.

Excellent location, just 15 min from the airport. Loved cold water with lime and lemon in the lobby! Although breakfast is served from 6:30 we were offered fresh hot coffee and pastries at 4 am, had to catch early flight. It got our days started the right way. Very pleasant staff! Room super clean and spacious. Definitely will be back! NA

Was great. Beds are very firm.. if you like a soft bed either bring a topper or stay elsewhere.

I don’t like when rooms have the bathroom sink in an open area. It should be enclosed with the shower and toilet. Our phone charging dock was broken and the tv didn’t rotate enough for us to comfortably watch tv from the bed.

Wonderful hotel

We would absolutely stay here again! We stayed 4 nights while skiing Purgatory. The front desk staff were super helpful, the rooms were great (however they don’t have ovens like listed online), the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was impressive for a complimentary buffet breakfast.

Front desk Staff was friendly & helpful. Room and bed was comfy. Pillows could have been better. Breakfast was just ok. Our first morning female breakfast attendant wasn’t friendly or helpful at all & food was not even hot or warm. She did close off & put fresh food out for the employees at 9:30 though. 2nd morning male attendant was slightly better but again food was just ok. Definitely had better at other Homewood locations. On top of all this, we specifically booked this hotel for the evening social on NYE but the GM Kurt decided to let the employees off that night so there was no social and no notice except a last minute note on our door. So basically the employees were more important than his paying guests. Kinda like the breakfast situation. Extremely disappointed in this stay at Homewood suites to the point I’m not sure we will book a Homewood suites again & prior to this stay that was our hotel of choice always.

Nice place to stay

I’m tired of paying high prices and not getting good quality. First issue was not getting bed configuration we asked for. My husband and son slept on a sofa bed (not the same-manager said they were. BS). Also they didn’t do housekeeping on new years but we paid more for the room. Ugh!!!! This used to be our favorite spot in Durango.

We got a double queen beds suite for 2 adults and 4 kids, Room was very comfortable and spacious. The room cleanliness was good, beds were comfortable. Gym and pool were also great, breakfast was stocked up and good variety. 10 out of 10!

The location is right off the highway, outskirts of town. We walked up the hill to eat at a local brewery. Breakfast room was pleasant. Health options available.

This was easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed, especially as a family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable; there was a nice pool and good breakfast for the family! I'm now looking for the same hotel in other cities.

Our room had a terrible sounding room ac fan....very irratating when trying to sleep. Bathroom looked dated as far as the tub and lighting. Staff was great....Breakfast was good but for the price i expected nicer. The lighting system was confusing and didnt' figure it out till we checked and i asked.....everything is on a switch and you have to turn off everything you don't want on for lighing and ceiling fans..... individually....a FAQ would of been helpful as they had a card they gave you for such.....

A little bit out of the way location, but clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. The staff was very helpful. The best breakfast I've seen at a hotel for quite some time.

Wonderful suite hotel which was clean and very well maintained. Good small kitchen. Breakfast is higher quality than most hotels which include breakfast. High quality gym on the premises with a Peloton and TRX straps along with the customary weights and stationary bike. We used the laundry room which had two washers and two dryers. The only thing we didn't like was the night light in the bathroom which got brighter at night when a person moved closer to it. Also, the hotel is not within walking distance of downtown Durango. Overall, a fantastic place to stay as long as you don't mind driving to the downtown area.

Excellent and affordable choice to stay in Durango during their peak seasons. We loved it here and the room was very spacious for a family of 5.

Nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and a nice size. The bed was comfortable, the couch was not. The TV was useless, it kept freezing up and losing connection and the controller for the TV did have any control features for menus or guides and no local weather. Breakfast area was clean and well maintained.

We truly enjoyed our stay. It was a quiet area, had everything we needed near by, so clean and friendly employees. Would stay here again!

We had two rooms. Total bill of about $750. On arrival we requested quiet rooms on the top floor. We were placed on the second floor directly over the front drive porte cochere with one of our rooms also directly across from the elevator. Family of stompers and runners above us up half the night kept us awake. We made a simple request and were blantedly lied too and decieved. I have worked in Hotels for 49 years. I know the B.S.. At least be honest and do your best. Sure you tried to played it sweet and nice. So charming! Than you stuck us in terrible rooms. Facilities great! Hospitality and honest engagement terrible. The attendants at the breakfast buffet avoided us like the plague. I had a pocket full of cash for just one good morning and a smile! Nothing! You have a great product. Be Genuine with Hospitality!

The property and stay was just great. The Wednesday happy hour was perfect. The room had a primary light switch that was confusing and I turned it on in the middle of the night and woke everyone up int the bedroom. That needs to be addressed.

This is a must stay!! The staff was outstanding, the daily breakfast was different every day and very good! Spa and pool were excellent! Dog friendly, and on Wednesday evening… free wine tasting with ordorvs, soup and salad and mingling with staff and guests…I WILL BE BACK

The Homewood Suite have a good location it's not far from downtown is like 10 minutes or less driving. I like this property because it has almost everything you need like you have a grill on the patio if you want to cook something outside for you or your family or friends. In the room have small little kitchen where you have a regular big size refrigerator, small electric stove, big microwave, and you have a dishwasher in case you use the plates or cups from the room is almost to be at home.

The hotel is kept in a like new condition. Very clean. Rooms are spacious. Kitchen is very well supplied, with full refrigerator. Heating/AC adjust easily. Decent breakfast. Large elevators.

Enjoyed the room thoroughly

The breakfast attendant was rude. We were taking breakfast back up to our room and the breakfast attendant said we had forks in our room. She was eavesdropping on a conversation with my spouse. I told him to get two forks since we had no clean ones in our room.

Alejandra at the front desk was so incredibly hospitable and nice. It was like coming home everyday after a long day of work. And Wednesday happy hour was fantastic. The breakfast was top notch and the hotel was the cleanest I’ve stayed in in years. 10/10. Will be back.

We had a suite with door between the bedroom and kitchen/living area. With two teen agers that worked out very well and the cost was extremely good for what we got.

I used the gym which was moderately equipped, but the equipment was of high quality.

We chose to stay here for a ski trip to Purgatory. I chose these suites because they were dog friendly, well rated and offerd a free buffet breakfast. Also, because we are sensitive to altitude, I wanted to spend nights at a slightly lower altitude. We enjoyed our stay. Was super easy to get to the historic old town for a few dinners, as well as to the Durango Hot Springs, and the ski resort.

The room was nicely set up. Told we had a “full kitchen” but no oven. Microwave was slow and 2 burner countertop stove never was hot enough to prep a meal. Outrageously expensive and not worth it. Breakfast downstairs did not have much variety. Food was bland: packaged muffins, cereal, eggs and sausage. Worst of the stay is that the cooling unit was not cooling our room. It was a very hot and stuffy 2 nights for us. Even after setting unit on 63 cool. Spoke to manager and he stated that units are preset and that there was nothing that could be done. Do not book here! Waste of money and you won’t be comfortable.

This is a nice, clean, safe and quiet place to stay. You're only minutes away from downtown and shopping centers. So, the location is great. Its continental breakfast is excellent. I'll stay here again.

Hotel check in was easy, lobby seemed clean. Room was clean, and comfortable. There was some sort of noise coming from a piece of equipment on the roof. Let the hotel know and the response was “we’re aware, and we’re sorry”. Thankfully I was able to sleep and not be woken up. The breakfast was supposed to be open until 10:00, but was closed when I returned from a round of golf at 9:50. Not the end of the world, but would have been nice to grab some fruit or a bagel. Returning in a few weeks, hopefully the noisy equipment is repaired.

The hotel’s location was close to food and shopping. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Everything looked new. Breakfast buffet was fresh, and Kris was an excellent representative for the hotel.
