Other than the dog barking in the room next to us, a dead battery in a smoke detector and a bathroom sink that drained ever so slowly it was a nice stay.

The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was very excellent except for the scrambled eggs. Definitely had better.

The breakfast attendant was awesome. Wish they would have cleaned the rooms more often

I chose this hotel because the reviews were excellent. I'm going to go with okay. this is off the freeway, just outside of downtown durango. it's a decent hotel. breakfast is not great at all. they do offer free popcorn in the afternoon but there was a large party there and me and my family never got to get any. the room was adequately clean. definitely not my favorite and don't think we'll be back.

We had a clean, quiet room. We requested, and it was done, clean towels each day. The breakfast was good, hot, and filling. The freshly baked cookies and popcorn in the late afternoon were treats! We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Hotel is a bit dated. Beds a little hard. The fan in bathroom was very loud. Breakfast was a good selection but needed to be maintained by the staff in terms of cleanliness. The hotel is further away from the main street. For the price I was expecting a bit more.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Only complaint was lack of fresh box of Kleenex. Outstanding breakfast bar, but could have used more help in refilling food containers. Crowd was quite large due to holiday weekend and it was challenging trying to serve the large and hungry crowd. All in all, breakfast was delicious and varied. Overall stay was great.

Trash left in the room from previous guest. Notified front desk. The fold out couch bedding not in the room. Called the front desk, asked for sheets/pillows. They said they’d bring it down. 45 minutes later, they hadn’t shown. I walk to the front desk and asked about the sheets. The attendant said, “Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot.” They went to go get the sheets and came back thirty seconds later. Breakfast tables were sticky. The poor lady tending breakfast was trying her best, there were just too many people trying to eat in a cramped area. She was sweet. We stayed there two days. There was just a lot to be desired.

He was handling it like a champ and was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we wanted to do a load of laundry but all units were being used.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Pool, sauna, and gym open until 10pm. Popcorn available in the lobby in the evenings was a hospitable touch. Hot breakfast with good variety (waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee, juices, etc.). My only complaint is that the fitness room opened at 9am, which is too late to be useful for most guests. This was the nicest hotel on our road trip across Colorado.

Watery eggs are never good. Should have vegetable add ins. The room had light bulbs out. There was a burn hole in the sheets at a non smoking hotel. The hair dryer did not work. There was no body wash in the bottle in the shooter

Pool definitely needed a good scrubbing and there's a sauna, no hot tub - lots of wet towels laying around when I walked through to look, did not swim. Rooms have carpet, should look at upgrade to flooring, ours seemed clean enough. Breakfast area needs more tables, larger groups had to sit apart. The food was good though, staff here & front desk were helpful.

Stayed here twice....never again. DIRTY out front of lobby (outside), dirty lobby floor, looks like floor has not been mopped in a month. The entire place is badly in need of repair. Forgot my tooth brush, went to the front desk to ask to buy one. I was told, "We don't have any." In fairness, perhaps they sold out. Place smells like popcorn 27/7. Rooms are functional and that is about it. Don't expect COMFORTABLE amenities.

Didn’t wake up in time for breakfast the rooms were very clean and absolutely decent. Staff is incredibly nice. It was our first time staying here and we enjoyed it. definitely will be our go to next time we’re in town. We enjoyed the swimming pool. It was perfect for beginners so my children had an advantage at that.

VERY UNACCEPTABLE! My limited edition shorts were left in the sheets on bed. Called and housekeeping done stole them! I'll file a police report when I get back in a couple weeks! And dont get caught wearing them!!

The gentleman who worked at the front desk was amazing. The overall condition of the property was below average. The handle on the bathtub facet was broken, the seal around the tub cracking and pulling apart, the carpet was worn. The bed was comfortable and clean.

Great check in and check out experience. Pretty decent breakfast but one not very kind guy helping with breakfast. The exercise room needs some help. There’s one exercise bike and a weight system of some sort in the corner. Overall a good hotel and good experience and I would go back.

The suite was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The comfortable bed and nice pillows were great for a good night's sleep. The gentlemen who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. One elevator was out of service, so that could have bothersome for some guests.

The walls are paper thin and whenever someone washed their hands, uses the bathroom, or takes a shower it was extremely loud. The ceilings and floors are thin too. Someone checked in above me at roughly midnight and it sounded like they were coming to stomp through the floor. I could hear them showering as well. I will be disputing the charge as it was not a pleasant night sleep

Everything was fine except: breakfast room needs more seating, room lamps were dusty, and the heater thermostat was not functioning properly. Set it to 70 degrees, but the room temperature was closer to 80, so we set it to 60 and slept great.

Rooms where kind of clean. Curtains from the window where super dirty with stains. Room had a terribly food smell. Restroom had mold on top of the cealling also smell musty. Hallways had a old smell and musty. Breakfast was on point with different choices and a clean dinning area. The heater was load at night was kind of annoying.

My room was dirty, toliets dirty booger on wall, hair on floor couldnt even shower becuase there was mold and shower need regrouting. This place needs a upgrade/deep clean. Breakfast tables were dirty, walls were dirty,fireplace had a thick thing of dust, there was a paint can in the sink, by the juice machine and the juice machine tray wasnt even cleaned out. There was a dirty broom right next to the waffle maker. I will say the guy with the long beard at the desk has great customer service however.

Check in was great and staff was awesome. So that’s the good side. Once we go to the room is where it went sideways. I always check certain things. Heater/ac filters dirty. Bathroom vent completely clogged. Next to the counter an entire tile missing, with sharp edges exposed (and I mean very sharp). When it came time to shower, room 344, bathroom tub drain clogged completely. Had to wait 30 minutes between showers to let it drain. Went to brush teeth, and OMG the smell that comes out of the sink drain once water goes into it. Dear gawd. And lastly, the heater was set to 71 degrees, we came back from dinner and it was at least 90. The thermostat is broken. For us to get it to turn off we had to put it at 60 degrees. (Yes power button worked but thermostat didn’t).

We got into our room bed was wrinkled and had hairs all over it. Pillows were disheveled. Felt like room was not actually cleaned that beds were just remade after other clients visit. There was grainy stuff on our sheets. Black dog hair in bathroom. We just really felt like room was dirty.

Staff was quick and super friendly. Only issue we had was the floor in our room wasn’t the cleanest. Could have been detailed a bit better to remove patches of whatever was stuck on the carpet and vacuumed a bit better.

Liked the filter water bottle station and pet relief areas. I wish the fitness room had a treadmill. The water machine in the fitness room does not work- I reported it. Bathroom door mirror was dirty. I would stay here again maily because the rooms have microwave and mini fridge.

The room was relatively clean; however the toilet could have benefited from a more careful cleaning. The bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows. The breakfast was tasty and hot and the breakfast staff was delightful. The front desk was helpful in checking in but was unable to recommend local places where we could go have a cocktail and a snack.

I will stay here whenever I come to Durango! The rate is very reasonable, and the room and hotel are better than other more expensive hotels in the area.

This hotel needs deep cleaning, we stayed in a 'dog room' and it was not very clean, specifically the carpet and the bathroom floor, it was gross. The ceiling above the bed had brown splatter marks, unidentified substance. The breakfast food is acceptable, a variety of items to choose from. But... its also very dirty, the walls need cleaning, splatter marks, chipped paint, dent marks, dirty floors, carpet, and tables. There are old crumbs left on the food counters, its not clean by any means, and to top it off, the food attendant did not wear gloves. Ewww

The room was comfortable, and the staff was very welcoming and very friendly.

It is an old hotel and needs updates and new carpets also new room doors.

Everything was overall fine. The bathroom had safety issues with shower rail. They were. Out of the hair care products. The furniture was worn.

Very nice and efficient staff, clean and quiet room and grounds. I traveled with my dog for the first time. It went well. They gave me a room on the ground floor by the back door for easy access to walk my dog.

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. Not only did they mess up my reservations they did my daughters too. Add insult to injury I had someone try and get in my too at 9:30pm. Front desk thought the room was empty!!

The bathroom wasn’t very clean

The water was off from when we checked in and still wasn't on at 10:30 pm when we went to bed,the hotel offered nothing to help.

No water on the hotel until midnight and the tv channels freezes all time make impossible to watch

Our room was not as clean as it has been in the past, but the staff was still wonderful. Carpeting on the first floor could use an upgrade. That said, the included breakfast and afternoon cookies and popcorn are very nice, indeed.

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. Although the room appeared clean at first glance, there was an unpleasant odor throughout our stay. The comforters didn’t feel fresh, and the bathroom lacked basic amenities like a towel hanger. The shower curtain was poorly installed, causing water to spill all over the floor after every shower. The setup was also not kid-friendly, making our stay uncomfortable. Overall, it did not meet our expectations and I would not recommend this hotel for families.

Food was good. Checkin was great. Room was a little dark.

Room had a bad smell when we arrived, we bought spray when we went to the store to use in the room; when we were gone all day the next day and returned the smell was still there; we were due to check out on Sunday but decided to leave on Saturday, we couldn’t do much due to bad weather that was coming, we spoke with night crew at the front desk and were told it was ok but when we went to check out in the morning, the person working the front desk said we couldn’t but that he would honor it since the night staff had ok’d it but they were going to get written up, he was very rude about it and saying we had to stay; we stayed the same place with no problems last year and actually checked out early then as well with no issues but will not stay there again; breakfast was good but no room to sit anywhere

Did not get the King bed I asked for. Said they went ready this was at 3:45. Air con raddled and was very load. Bathroom sink drain didn’t drain and was a pain. Breakfast was very good and help was on top of it. Wasn’t very pleased compared to other Comfort Inn’s we stayed.

A problem with the remote for the television. Old furniture, no water pressure, dingy black out curtain. Along with drapery hardware coming loose. Switch plates &hardware that has seen better days. I paid 880.00 for 3 nights. A premium for the the horrible condition this place is in. I tried finding somewhere else to stay. But The town was booked! Never again!

This was our second stay. Its clean and quiet. The man who takes care of the breakfast area does a great job.

Check in super easy, Gentleman extremely professional and personable. Same for check out. Hotel was super quiet at all hours.

The lobby had fresh popcorn and cookies as we came in. Room smelt a little musty, but it was fine, I think it was due to the carpet. But we would recommend staying here! We stayed for one night and we loved the area.

Need to chg mattresses in our room which was rm 104. They were very soft and one could tell used. I had to sleep in the middle of bed or I would have rolled off bed if I turned

I found in the shower containers shampoo, soap and conditioners empties and the man that work in the cafeteria very rude, he asked us literally to move out of a table because he needs to clean it. Many ways to request it but not so rude. The rest of staff was good.

The bathroom mirror and mirror on the door were dirty. There was no hand soap, bath wash or bath mat. There was only one hand towel. I had to ask for soap for my bathroom. They charged me for it.

The overworked staff was kind, but there was a long line and one hotel assistant was tasked with getting everyone checked in. I was sixth in line and it took 30+ minutes. When we got to our room, there was a ring of soap scum on the counter and no body wash in the shower. There was also some sort of goop, maybe melted popsicle, that got on my laptop and my sleeve when I set up my computer. Also, this isn't really a dog-friendly hotel. It's $50 additional and you have to sign a form, part of which says you can never leave your dog unattended. Why bother to get a nice, cool hotel room that allows your dog if you're expected to haul him/her around with you wherever you go? I reasoned maybe that just meant outside the room? It didn't come off as that. This could be a nice hotel, but it wasn't when we were there. Fortunately, we were only staying for one night.

Nice area staff did a great job

While we were there we requested maid service. The first time we left the room and then returned the bathroom was cleaned, but the soap was thrown out & not replaced. The rest of the room wasn’t cleaned. We left & returned 3 hrs later the bed was made but the pillows were on the floor with no cases on them & our sack of snacks had been thrown out. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk we were just told she was in training. We were treated as though it should have been expected by us because the person was new. Nothing was said or offered to compensate us for the lost food, or our inconvenience.

The room was great, as was the full, hot breakfast. My only complaint was the wi-fi. The connection dropped whenever we left the room, and didn't even stay connected overnight, resulting in data roaming charges if you didn't check your connection regularly. In addition, when connecting/reconnecting you are presented with offers to join the Choice "club" and if you decline, you have to watch a 15 second video before you are reconnected. All of this is interesting because none of this happens in the CHOICE hotel we are in.

The staff was very attentive and kind. We stayed only one night. The rooms could use some updating. We’ve stayed in other Comfort Suites updated great. I know it’s hard to schedule out a remold. They were very busy, not sure of occupancy but I bet it was 95+% full. Overall a great stay.

My son had some bites on his face a day after we left, then a few days later, both my wife and I started noticing them. We found out that it was bed bugs. When we called the hotel, we were told the room is shut down and has been treated, so it seems like they knew and did not contact us. We were told we would be reimbursed for the stay, and they charged us a second time instead. I would not suggest this location to anyone.

There were a fewcleaning issues, coffee pot not cleaned with used pod still in it. Bathroom mirrors not cleaned. Otherwise comfortable but not worth the nightly rate.

Nice and clean

Enjoyed everything about our visit but have 1 minor thing and another thing that could be major during other weather conditions. The minor was that the right side of the bed squeaked into quite a bit and the major thing would be the air conditioning did not work had it it set at 61 and still would not cut on, but the temperatures were mild enough that it only minorly uncomfortable.

Breakfast was poorly done. OJ was like water. Ran out of coffee. Eggs cold. Muffins not very good.

Met the need - we enjoyed our stay

We loved our room, the breakfast was very good. We especially liked Cody. He was friendly and welcoming. The popcorn and cookies were a nice touch!

Our room was decent. The room our friends stayed in wasn’t the cleanest- toilet had not been flushed, had yellow contents, and sink and mirror not wiped down (spots and hair). Hair dryer in our room 239 not usable.

Check in was quick and easy, the front desk person was friendly and helpful. For my needs, the location was very convenient and easy to access. Had no issues during my stay .

Easy access to downtown

Loved staying in Durango. Enjoyed walking the Animas river trail. Train ride from Durango to Silverton and return by bus was fantastic and spectacular!

There was black mold on the upper wall and ceiling in our bathroom. There wasn’t any hooks to hang your cloths on while bathing. Or your towel after bathing. We told them about the mold and they were going to tell maintenance. But wasn’t addressed when we left. We stayed 2 nights.

I had to move a table to look for something and it wasn’t too clean behind it. Asked for room to be cleaned, left a time or two due to the proximity of the room staff expected to have it done but was not. Finally they knocked on the door and we were not leaving for a while and sent them away.

Great experience and great breakfast

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stephanie, and she helped us with scheduling an extra night that we needed due to a change of plans. Cody, the assistant manager, was also very polite and helpful with our change in plans and needing an extra night in our room. The young man working the breakfast was on top of things. He made sure everything was kept stocked, and he did all of this with a smile on his face. The breakfast was a full breakfast with lots of options, and was delicious!

My room had an odor

Helpful staff. Rooms were nice enough except the bathroom could've used some brackets to hang towels and other stuff. Pullout bed was broken but functional.

Typical Comfort Inn. Clean, well appointed. Great staff and ample free breakfast. Pretty conveniently located to everything in Durango.

The staff at check in was very helpful and worked with us to schedule another nights stay and keep the same room when our plans had changed. The breakfast was delicious and the staff working the breakfast area maintained the refilling of various breakfast items efficiently and was very pleasant.

Very good service by hotel staff. Beds were great. Not very far from the train and historic downtown. We would stay there again. We did not eat there but did have some fresh popcorn in the evening in the lobby. There was ice water available there as well.

The property was nice and one of the more affordable ones in the area. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff friendly. The only thing I did not like was the visible cost cutting measures. The toilet paper was terrible, the paper plates used at breakfast were dollar store quality, as was the cutlery. You had to use three plates just to be able to hold your food without it folding over. The knife I used to put jelly on my English muffin just could not stand up to the jelly, it broke in half. The toilet paper, well, you know. Great hotel, but they should spend a little more on the paper products.

Breakfast had hot and cold items with enough choice for most tastes. The afternoon popcorn and cookies was a nice addition. Would definitely recommend staying here to enjoy Durango and the surrounding area.

Hotel condition is okay, but not great. It could use a makeover. Carpets in public areas are visibly worn. Sink drain in our room was extremely slow. Breakfast was okay. Only one elevator for two upper floors.

Parking is terrible. Hotel cleanliness was not good. Staff not very informative. Pool was green.

The property was easy to get in and out of, and parking was right up front. The option for daily housekeeping is only upon request, which I certainly don't mind, but larger trash cans in the room would be most helpful. Same with towels - not replacing for a weekend stay makes perfect sense but there should be more area to spread out towels for drying after use. The continental breakfast was okay. The dining room needs to be bussed regularly as it was a busy weekend and tables were always in need of wiping. The scrambled eggs were not great but yogurt, waffles and other bread options (toast, muffins, bagels) were fine. Finally, the pool is so heavily chlorinated that it's almost uncomfortable to use.

I’m a repeat customer at this hotel, it’s a good value for the price, and not at all too fat from downtown Durango.

This is an older hotel, in desperate need of an update. Carpets are worn, both in the rooms and common areas. The bathrooms are in need of new shower/tub, toilets and vanity. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family, based on staff, cleanliness and location.

It wss clean but our ladt morning there was no coffee at breakfast and no water in the dispensers.

All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and neat, so was the property around the hotel. Our breakfast every morning was wonderful. It was a lovely visit.

The pictures online do not reflect what you’re actually getting. The rooms were very dirty.

Disappointed after checking in to see urine stains all over the toilet and floor after laying almost $300 for one night. The rest of the room was clean but after a 15 hour drive we were hoping for a clean bathroom.
