Springhill Suites by Marriott Durango

The room smelled horribly of marijuana. I used a full can of Febreze and it wouldn’t help. They offered to switch me rooms, but I had booked three together for a family vacation and they were only willing to move one. Breakfast was not great. The outdoor patio with a fire pit picture was extremely enticing. Too bad there were no cushions on the furniture. What chairs there were there were worn out and the place looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned, not what I expected from a Springhill suites stayed in several of them. This was the worst.

Our room was very spacious and clean! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants to eat at. The free morning breakfast was pretty good! Parking was plentiful. Hotel is not in the heart of downtown/uptown but we didn't mind that. It's a less then five minute drive.

Overall a great stay. Clean room, friendly staff, and convenient location. I had my small dog with me and the hotel felt pet friendly. Across the street from a nice walking path by the river. A bit disappointed that breakfast didn’t start until 7 as we were in town for a volleyball tournament and had to leave the hotel before then both days. I would stay here again

We had a great mini vacation. The only reason I didn’t give the property a perfect score is because the pool pump broke. The kids were not able to swim and traveling with little ones the pool was a MUST have. Everything else was wonderful 🤗..

The staff were very polite and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms were clean... a little disappointed with the mountain view but thats probably because the hotel is in a valley of sort. Overall experience was exceptional.

I've stayed here many times over the past 5 years or so. This has been a nice property over the years, but the room I got seemed to have a bit more wear than I remember in the past. Overall, it's a nice place to stay, generally pretty clean. Great breakfast with a courteous breakfast staff. The only challenge was that the room doors are very loud when closing, so throughout the night I would wake up as other guests were going in and out of their rooms. Overall a great place to stay. I really like the room layouts with the desk, seating area and television setup.

Accommodating friendly staff, and I like that they have a filtered water station available for filling water bottles. I prefer to drink filtered water.

It was a very nice place to spend our weekend trip,nice staff and very clean facilities breakfast was delicious I highly recommend.

Everything was great except why would you put the bathroom door with frosted glass in the sleeping area? Every time someone goes into the bathroom it lights up the whole.

Overall, everything was good. From my point of view, the only area for improvement is the bathroom. Water leaks out from under the door, and the light from the bathroom shines through the semi-transparent door, which is disruptive for those who are still sleeping. Also, at breakfast, there was no bacon, unlike in other similar hotels, and the omelets were cold.

Nice room and very comfy. The bathroom was clean enough, but had dust around the floorboards. I’m not super picky so I didn’t care but that would be my only complaint. It was a wonderful stay.

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and the room was terrific. We had a little trouble with our first room (no hot water), and the staff moved us to a new room without a problem. The breakfast was fresh and offered many choices. The hotel was very full during our stay, and the staff kept the breakfast fully stocked the entire time.

Hotel location and room was nice close to everything yet far enough to not be right in the center of all the business. However it wasn't the cleanest room not the worst but also not the best.

This was one of the best experiences we had in hotels! We stayed for 3 days & honestly from the cleanliness to the staff, to the breakfast, the location, it was just perfect! It is literally walking distance to a beautiful trail with a river & bridge. We went right when it snowed & it was like being in a hallmark movie! Could have more Christmas decorations for my taste lol, but the hotel itself was just great.

The staff are really warm and kind. Room was clean and comfy. The Animas River trail is right outside the hotel which was a bonus.

Hotel was nice! Clean rooms and lobby, friendly staff, good breakfast! Only downfall is the showers don’t get very warm and after a day or evening in the cold, a hot shower would be perfect!

The room was wonderful! Large spacious bathroom and closet in the suite. The lady at the front desk was very courteous. Kids loved the pool and I loved the hot tub. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was great but our room wasn’t vacuumed and just seemed as if they could pay more attention to cleaning. Breakfast attendant was wonderful.

The rooms are SPOTLESS. Bathrooms are HUGE. Hot tub is HOT. Breakfast bar is so full and run by a very tidy woman. Very polite staff I just couldn’t believe how nice they all were. Highly recommended!

Room is standard, frosted glass on the bathroom door is not family friendly when someone gets up in the middle of the night or if you have an early riser, it lights up the room. Hot tub was not maintained well. It was either way too hot, or lukewarm. Overall good value, clean room, nice breakfast.

The parking was well lit and felt safe; however, not many handicap parking spaces. The breakfast options were ok.

Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately it was right next to the electrical room. There was an awful buzzing sound all night and it was hard to fall asleep. I think if we had another room is would of been perfect.

We decided to do a little staycation and this hotel fit the bill. It was right off the highway so easy to find. The bed was very comfy as was the rest of the room. The breakfast in the morning was on par for a hotel of this type. I was impressed that it was very clean.

Hot tub jets did not work, fire pit area did not have cushions on the outdoor furniture, pool was smallest I have seen. I will say, the service was young, but very good and the highlight of the stay. The problems we had seem like ones you would have with an older hotel, not a new one.

Nice hotel and breakfast. Staff was nice. However, the mattresses weren’t comfortable, our tv was only able to play the sound and no picture, and the air conditioner placement was terrible. Everytime the ac went on, it blew air directly on me because it was too close to the bed, which made sleeping very difficult due to the noise of the ac and getting direct coldness on me.

My daughter left her Nintendo Switch as we checked out and the staff immediately called to let us know! I feel like that was so courteous and we are so thankful to them! Our room was clean, had everything we needed and check in check out staff was amazing!

A few things were less than optimal in the design. Bathroom was large, but lacked counter space and enough towels racks. The bar was large but had no sink, which we found a little inconvenient in a suite with 3 adults for multiple days. Overall we were happy with the convenience of parking, proximity of the suite to front desk, ice machine and dining room. We would stay here again. Good value.

The staff was incredibly nice. They went out of their way to talk to us and ask how we were doing. An opportunity was the men’s restroom off the lobby was out of toilet paper at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon. I communicated to the front desk person that it was out and she said she would take care of it. This morning Sunday morning at 8 o’clock it was still out of toilet paper.

My favorite hotel. Have stayed here many times. Excellent breakfast, impeccable cleanliness, huge rooms. Amazing for kids.

Springhill Suites Durango is a great hotel, especially if just for one night. It's clean, comfortable and very convenient to the DRO Airport.

the room was large and clean. it was a "handicapped" room, but the tub (who puts a tub in a handicapped room??) was so slippery that my wife, who is handicapped from a massive stroke, was unable to use the shower at all-that's what we paid for!! also, the room was noisy-we could hear conversations from both rooms on each side. seemed poorly constructed. breakfast should be available til 10a, closing at 9 is too early. staff was very pleasant. unlikely we'll stay again due to the lack of accessibility in a handicapped room. too bad.

Very nice hotel, great condition, clean and friendly staff. The room was large and comfortable. Only downside was the ac/heat came on with a loud noise and woke me up each time. Finally just turned the unit off and all was well!!

I've stayed at a few hotels nearby on ski trips in this area, and this one is by far my favorite bringing me back a few times. It's clean and modern and the room layouts are great. I really like the seating area with the couch for gearing up to go skiing in the mornings. The desk is great for computer work and bringing food back to the room if needed. The breakfast is pretty good and usually has the basics to get the day started with a nice breakfast area. Location is good since it's not far from a Walmart, fast food and gas so those conveniences are nearby. Probably a 30-40 min drive up to Purgatory ski area which isn't bad. It's also a good place to stay if you're wanting to hit more than one ski area since Wolf Creek is about an hour and a half away. I've split trips between the two and this location works great. Overall it's one of my favorites. Definitely recommend.

The receptionist was very nice and courteous. Let her see tue itinerary. She knew what to do. Just swiped for security deposit. Got room amd wifi information, parking permit. Was fully checked in, kids in swimming pool within 15 minutes upon arrival.

When I went to inquire on pool access the Young lady not only showed me the pool but offered us a room next to the pool. The young man who was there both days was so nice and helpful. Both front desk employees were pleasant helpful and friendly.

Great hotel

Great stay in Durango. Within 5 minutes to the Durango train station. Nice gym, clean room and breakfast was adequate.

The place is decently clean other than mold in the bathrooms. One star because the women working the breakfast area were outstanding and so sweet!! Shout out to them, they should run the place. I absolutely do not recommend.

Incredibly friendly staff and a great property at a reasonable price. The parking lot is large, wraps around the property and has easy access for anyone with a trailer. If ever in Durango again I’ll definitely stay here again.

The views are beautiful and the room are big and spacious. My family love the free breakfast especially mini waffles.The beds are comfy and sofa bed came in handy. My family and I had to walk to the river next to the hotel it’s so beautiful! I really recommend taking 15 minutes to walk next to river.
