Hyatt Place LAX El Segundo

For a new hotel, the AC unit was loud. Overnight parking a little steep at 38 bucks. But the breakfast was outstanding and coffee pretty good too.

Clean room, bathroom, wonderful breakfast and airport shuttle really scored good points with me

Clean space and wonderful staff. Only thing that could have improved was adhering to their regular cleaning, as we had to request for our room to be cleaned and towels to be replaced throughout our stay.

Rachel was very friendly for the check in portion and this made the whole stay much better.

Great property in an excellent location— off the main roadways but still very convenient to LAX. Complementary breakfast was a big plus. Would definitely stay again.

If you need a hotel close to Airport, than it's really good. Location is far away from city center and banner images are so unrelated to the hotel.

This is the second time we have been back to this hotel. It’s normally spot on with cleanliness but this time the wall by the door to our room on the inside was filthy. I don’t know if something was spilled or thrown but there was a lot of stuff on it. All and all it was a nice stay.

It was close to the airport and had an airport shuttle. The staff member on the desk wasn't super hospitable, we checked in and informed her we were only staying for a few hours to freshen up then heading to the airport. We went to check out and she had no recollection of who we were.

The rooms are HUGE!! I thought they accidentally gave me a suite. Shower could hold a family of 4!! TV big, clear picture. Iron and ironing board in the room. Couch, desk, table, chairs. Firepit outdoor area is beautiful. Pool really nice and clean. Negative: The cooked items in breakfast are a hard pass... Yogurt, cereal and toast were awesome. CAUTION: THERE ARE 2 HOTELS WITH THE NAME OF HYATT PLACE. ONE IS ABOUT A MILE FROM LAX, THE OTHER IS MAYBE 7 MILES FROM LAX. BE SURE TO GET ON THE RIGHT SHUTTLE!!! We didn't, and had to pay a cab to get to the other one (or shuttle back to the airport and wait for the right one)

The best hotel when traveling with family. Such an amazing experience here.! The customer service from each and every staff member we encountered; from the front desk, the ladies at the breakfast arena, the housekeeping staff, the men cleaning the pool area, and the shuttle drivers all GREAT!! The hotel was very clean all around. Our room was very very spacious , we had 2 beds with the sofa and the restroom is big too! The tv is a big screen with cable channels and we could connect our phones to watch on the tv. The hotel is dog friendly, they have a designated green area for dogs that’s well kept and maintained. The complimentary breakfast is sooo good! That was a big plus for us! The pool and jacuzzi were clean and stocked with towels. The gym area is nice too. The free shuttle to and from the airport was great to have as as well. The only thing that I wish was different is the $37 over night parking fee. But overall great experience will definitely book here again!

This place was OK to stay overnight before a cruise. Restaurant was small/cozy. Food was good.

For anyone traveling with pets this is a great place to stay. The staff such as Rachelle are helpful and accommodating to make sure you have a great experience. Staff makes sure cleanliness is in all areas covered from the gym to laundry room to the designated pet area , and of course the dining room area where Isabel and her team makes sure to keep up with the demand.

Hotel was not on brand for a Hyatt. It’s very dated and old. Carpets are nasty. Staff is wonderful. They say free shuttle but it often has limited seating, thought they called a Lyft for us. I wouldn’t stay here again. I’ve seen holiday inns in better condition. Management need to renovate this property to stay on brand.

We enjoyed our stay, location is great, staff was very helpful especially server Isabella who understood my children’s allergies and was able to guide what they can and cannot eat in the breakfast menu. Hotel was clean and rooms were spacious however we found our beds were slightly old and uncomfortable and I really wish they had microwaves in every room or at least every floor. We had to go down to request front desk for them to bring out a microwave for us but rest everything was great! Would definitely recommend this place.

As usual, it was a comfortable stay. Great parking deal in LA and it was easy to stop. Easy to access to the rentacar center of the airport. Nice drive to Santa Monica area.

The AC in the room was noisy but not unbearable. Bed was comfortable. We only stayed 1 night and didn't get a chance to have their breakfast since we had to catch an early flight. Hotel is a five minute drive to the beach and various restaurants available. Overall, I would stay here again.

On one of the mornings, there was no hot water due to a technical problem, and I had to take a cold shower before attending a graduation ceremony. The hotel later mentioned the issue was corrected, but it affected my plans that day.In addition, the sliding bathroom door in my room did not close completely, so it could not be locked.

The hallways smelled musty and kinda old, and staff weren’t very helpful or welcoming when we had questions. The breakfast was disappointing too because there were barely any meat options or variety for different people’s tastes. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was really poor and kept acting up. The stay wasn’t horrible, but for the price and the hidden parking fee, I expected way better.

This property is in an excellent location if you’re flying in or out of LAX, which is my least favorite airport. The walls, ceiling and doorway allow other people‘s conversation and general noises to come through quite a bit. Their breakfast is a bit better than average, and I always like the Hyatt place configurations.

We were so sad that we weren't able to make it to this destination. One of us had the stomach flu and then we hit a pot hole which not only ruined our tire, it ruined our wheel! We had to wait for it to be replaced and we weren't able to go to the show we had tickets for.

Two hotels near airport shuttle took me to the wrong hotel. The other hotel was eight minutes away they would not give me shuttle service to the other hotel. So I had to get a Uber. the first hotel, kept my drivers license and when I got to the other hotel, no one wanted to help me get my license back they contacted the other hotel. They said they did not have my license. I had to pay an Uber to go back and get my license. They had it the whole time even though they said they did not have it, then I had to get an Uber back to the other hotel so I paid for three Ubers costing me just under 100 extra dollars. The staff was not helpful and no one seemed to care. I would not recommend staying somewhere where the employees do not care about the customer.

The room was spacious (I think we had a handicap room). The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. There was laundry machine available if needed. The continental breakfast was decent, not the best, but overall decent selection.

Great stay once we arrived. But my biggest complaint is that, although the website clearly states that the hotel offers 24-hour airport shuttle service (part of what sold us on this hotel), they actually only run shuttle service during limited hours. So even though we called ahead to confirm our pickup and pointed out what it says on the hotel's site, they didn't provide a shuttle and told us we must be the ones who made a mistake. (Nope. It's still there online.) Instead, we had to pay for an Uber—especially frustrating late at night since we first had to wait for an LAX shuttle to take us to the taxi lot and then again for the Uber to come. Not a great first impression. But once we got there, the hotel itself was great.

The food in the morning and food ordered from the cafe was great, and the women staffing the front desk area especially on checkout were helpful , courteous and professional. I hope their hard work is acknowledged as it was greatly appreciated. The maintenance staff and housekeeping personnel did an outstanding job as well, will definitely book a stay there in future

However, there is a Metro rail line, very close to the hotel building, that makes loud brake-squealing noises approximately once every 15 minutes all night long. Bring earplugs!

We called the reception again and the driver was informed to come to the pick-up. Traffic delayed his arrival. The shuttle back to the airport the next day went smooth. It seems that the system for incoming calls needs to be reviewed, as the reception to drive communication.

Walls & ceiling are super thin, heard the cleaning ladies conversation the whole time they were doing rooms, and it sounded like constant running above me all night. Airport shuttles were both excellent. Breakfast staff were very attentive replacing food. Rachel at front desk was very helpful with our early check in due to one guest suffering from cancer of the spine. The 2 gentleman working the front desk on Feb 20th were also very helpful. Unfortunately I did not get their names.

This is a great property. My only conplaint was that our flight didn't get in until 11:30, and the shuttle stops at 11. I picked this hotel because of the shuttle and missed the times when booking. I had incurred an unexpected expense of an Uber ($50). But overall a very nice hotel.

The hotel and its staff were fine. The reason for giving only a 3 star review was the free shuttle from LAX. It took over an hour and was confusing as there are a few Hyatt shuttles. You have to be sure to get on the correct Hyatt shuttle.

Shuttle drivers were awesome! Front desk at time of checkin needs improvement. The clerk did not listen when I spelled my name, saying she couldn't find my reservation. This caused me a little panic and had to fumble for my phone which I had temporarily misplaced. My Expedia reservation number wan't in their sustem. Had to respell my name and lo! I was there. Lack of specifics about where to stand outside for the shuttle was frustrating the first time. Breakfast was grat and ready on time. Room was spotless and comfortable.

The front desk staff were not friendly. I self-parked and requested a parking receipt, but was told to obtain it from Expedia. Expedia does not provide parking receipts, so I called the property directly. The front desk staff either ignored my calls or placed me on hold for an extended time without resolving the issue. Breakfast options were also extremely limited. Overall, not recommended.

The breakfast area was very crowded and for the capacity of the hotel, it's not an ideal place. Very few seating area around the breakfast area and some were forced either to wait for seating to become available or forced to take the breakfast to the room

Overall the stay was nice. The hotel needs to improve on communication. We had to circle back four times in order to receive the full run down on how the shuttle operates. However, the near by hotel, AC Marriott, had great communication.

The staff was excellent -- it was Christmas Eve and they were working hard to make my stay enjoyable. Very clean, big room and comfortable bed for a good rate. Free delicious breakfast and a good exercise room.

To be honest it was not a four star hotel more like three star breakfast buffet was very limited to scrambled eggs and sausages oatmeal and cereals fruit selection limited. The lobby was basic compared to other Hyatt hotels we stayed in. Nothing special for the cost but it was ok.

Airport shuttle service was horrendous! There are multiple hotels on same property which uses a single van as shuttle. We waited 90 minutes for a shuttle that too after calling their number 6 times. Would not recommend their shuttle service, it’s better to get a ride share or taxi.

We have waited shuttle more than 1hour 40 minutes

Room was nice, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast had good up keep and options for your basic breakfast needs.

Clean spacious room close to LAX. Breakfast was very good with many options but juices were not up to par…watery.

Old hotel

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. My son and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub for a couple hours. When it came time to leave, the hotel shuttle was very busy so the manager made special arrangements to get us to the airport comfortably and on time. Service was outstanding from all staff the entire time. Thank you!

Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfy, shower pressure was good and strong and breakfast was surprisingly good. The only issue we had was despite reserving a spot on the airport shuttle, we ended up having to get an Uber because the shuttle was way overbooked!

No coordination Asked me to wait for an hr after confirming that shuttle will be there in 20mins Spent 1 hr waiting with 2 small kids at 10pm. They reimbursed the cab fare but the inconvenience caused that late in the night was not worth it.

Clean!!! Pest free. Breakfast was good, hot and fresh but crowded downstairs when I was there so arrive a little early for seating. Parking prices suck but I understand the monopoly when it comes to airport parking. I had no true complaints about my stay.

The airport shuttle situation is awkward and leaves one feeling like they are receiving the discount hotel option rather than a high end hotel. Perhaps I misunderstood and that is the reality, but no one wants to be informed that they didn’t pay enough for quality customer service.

Our stay was great! But it was mostly thanks to the hotel staff, from the front desk, kitchen crew to the cleaning staff.

Great stay with my young kids and our French bulldog. No pet fee free breakfast is king. Close to LAX and SOFI stadium also, will stay again.

The room was very nice and the free breakfast was good!! For the most part the staff was good; although some more helpful and pleasant than others.

This hotel was perfect for my overnight stay. It was clean and the staff was accommodating in providing me a meal after the restaurant was closed, the overnight parking was also efficient and cost effective.

My stay was good and I would consider staying here again, but travelers who have never been here before should be forewarned about the shuttle: once you arrive at LAX, you have to call the hotel to request the shuttle. I did not know this and had been unable to find the direct number for the hotel prior to my trip. A Google search directed me to information about the shuttle so I just waited for it at the designated spot at the airport. The driver politely chided me the whole way to the hotel about how I would’ve had to wait so much longer if it weren’t for the fact that it was just myself and another guest on the shuttle and I have to call next time and so on and so on. Hyatt might want to consider publishing a direct-line phone number so guests can find one to ask these questions before they arrive.

Restaurant doesn’t open before 5pm and even after 5pm they are not ready, wiling or happy to serve you.

The airport transfer . Waited 3 hrs at the airport and the driver didn’t turn up. Had to take an uber with the help of another driver of Hyatt boulevard

We stayed for 24 hours and it was really nice, comfortable hotel and felt safe. Near many options of food. I liked that parking was secure and close by. Room was clean. Only complaint was we heard all the walking outside the room and above our room.

Hot tub by the pool - extremely dirty. Needs to be cleaned. King size bed is NOT King size. Paid for a King size bed and got Queen size mattress. Breakfast ok if you like processed food and snacky items. I was hoping for cooked to order eggs.

Hotel was close to the airport (our main requirement) and shuttle service was super handy. Rooms were spacious and bed was comfy. Staff were kind - free breakfast was a welcome extra. Definitely recommend if you’re wanting to be close to the airport.

The bathroom door was broke and do not close. The window sheds didn't work. It was no way to have the room dark it was light all night on the train side.

We had a high floor room which was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was perfect for an overnight airport stay. However we found the staff very lackluster in customer service, it felt like they really couldn't be bothered.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious - 10 out of 10! I was looking for a hotel near LAX that was QUIET, and this one was perfect. It was close to main roads and had freeway access and close to grocery stores etc., and yet it was SO quiet! No cars or any road noise. The room was clean and updated and spacious. The pillows and bedding were great, too.

Came down from Diego for the 9r’s game and this location was far enough from the stadium to allow for peace a quiet after a great game!

Clean. Safe and quiet area. Staff are nice especially in the dining area. Breakfast choices were fantastic, turkey substitutes are always great to have. Keep it up.

The entire stay was comfortable. The service was impeccable and the breakfast was wonderful.

The room was nice and clean. The front staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was decent and better than many other hotel with free breakfast. There was plenty of seating to eat at downstairs. The fireplace area was a little dirty with bird poop and things on the seat and spider webs around.

This hotel met all our expectations and was nice and clean, good staff, looked very modern, and food is good. All added up to a pleasant stay.

This is the best place my family has stayed near LAX so far!! The service was amazing and the room was so clean and felt very relaxing. We loved the open space. We did not feel cramped as a family of 4.

Don’t stay in room #203. I was told it’s on top of the kitchen. Every 10 minutes or so I would hear a loud bang, so loud it would shake the floors and ceiling and I would jump. I noticed the front desk and they sent the supervisor and engineer up to the second floor to check it out along with the third floor to check it out. They could not identify where the noise was coming from. They were helpful in trying to figure it out and offering me a different room two doors down but I declined to move as I was staging just for the night. Would have been nice to not have to deal with the constant noise but oh well. Breakfast food was all cold.

Parking was the most confusing part of the stay. You have a gate where it appears that you need to take a ticket yet the gate to exit is up. This has caused confusion with Uber drivers as they do not want to enter the lot. You really should get rid of them already as they are a major inconvenience. Other than that. The room was spacious and nice. Great touch on the LVP instead of carpeting. Free breakfast was a plus! Nice pool

newish hotel south of LAX and close to Manhattan Village

The main win was the Metro Rail station a short five minute walk down the street that allowed me to travel to Santa Monica. Using the Metro Rail, you can pretty go anywhere in Los Angeles for $2. Top tip buy a TAP Card at the station that can also be used on the buses.

Check in was fast and easy, staff was very nice. Room was very comfortable and clean. I will say, the towel I had was the softest towel I've ever used in a hotel. I wish I had kept it. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Location is quiet and in industrial area close to LAX. Second time staying, and I enjoyed this time much better. Breakfast is smaller but enough. Pool and hot tub are nice, slightly dirty on the bottom floors. Room was clean but just felt empty, not too much to it, but better than being cluttered and dirty. Only thing is they limited the amount of pillows and blankets when asked for more. Parking is $30 as well .. on site which is nice, no dealing with parking garages.

I always enjoy staying here. It is close to the airport. Close to a grocery store and there is airport transport. WiFi was a little shaky, but the front desk was prompt about giving me an alternative.

The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. I also appreciated the cleanliness and how nice all the staff were.

TV wasn’t fully working many channels not coming in, called front desk they said DTV issue but never was resolved.

The WiFi was out most of one day when I needed to work. They charge $30 to park but don’t keep enough spaces for guests

I had a great experience at Hyatt Place LAX El Segundo. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the free airport shuttle was super convenient. Stay was great. But we were charge $20 parking per night and 2 nights we had to park in the employee parking side since the main lot was full. Overall clean hotel.

Quick check-in, very easy transport from KAX. Spacious clean and comfortable room. Loved the pool and hot tub. The only area that was disappointing was the limited menu restaurant. Would definitely stay again however, just take an uber to one of the restaurants the staff recommended.

Called for shuttle service. Was hung up on when transfered. Called again and a man didnt know how to transfer the call. He tried twice and then hung up. I called again and got the forst person I called. They took down my information when I ask them to confirm my phone number I just told them they got it wrong. Now I have been informed pickuo is 40 to 60 minutes
