Very simple but nice hotel. Lots of food and places to shop around

Exceptional

The staff went out of their way to help make sure we had all we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast gave each person many different delicious options. And having gourmet and decaf coffee and water bottles available 24/7 was a huge plus! The location was perfect for us; we walked to most places!

The only thing I'd caution visitors about is the parking situation. Parking is rather limited, and if you park in the wrong location you run the risk of getting towed. If the lot around the hotel is full, ask the desk clerk where your parking options are. This last time I had to park in a parking garage across the street.

This hotel was GREAT! One of my best stays so far. The location is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the area is nice and convenient.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean,staff is great, property is well maintained. It has easy access to the freeway, shopping and dining. Will definitely stay here again.

We found the room to be in need of updating. Paint was peeling off the wall by the blinds and while taking a shower the shower door came off of its track and fell into the shower at me. The rollers are missing on the shower door. When we checked in the couch had white moist spots on it that I had to clean off. One day housekeeping did not clean our room and when they did clean the room the supplies were not replaced. In the past we’ve stayed at the Residence Inn that is across from this Home2 Suites but when I googled which property is better, Home2 Suites was the response. I don’t agree and will probably go back to the Residence Inn for future visits.

If you need a late checkout, good luck getting it. Overall, the hotel and staff were fantastic. It is in a great location within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. My only gripe is how hard it is to get a late checkout

Clean room a staff was friendly. The had complimentary water and cookies which was nice. They didn’t have a full oven in the room but you can request a burner for your kitchen and they will bring it up. Otherwise, no complaints.

The hotel was clean and nice overall. However, I nearly ran into the front glass automatic door several times because it didn't open until you were basically touching the glass and stood there for a couple of seconds. Sensor has problems. Second, I found a pair of underwear from a previous guest in the bathroom drawer on our first night. Third, on our second day at 10am, we were in the room painting our daughters' nails and with facial masks on, when a staff member just walked into our room. No knocking, just walked in. She started speaking in Spanish to us, and we had no idea what she was saying. Instead of leaving when she saw we were still in the room, she stood there for a few minutes continuing to speak Spanish even though I communicated we didn't understand her and also that checkout was not until 12. Since she wasn't leaving I called down to the front desk, at which point the lady finally started making her way out the door. I confirmed with the front desk staff that checkout was at 12. The girl was dismissive rather than apologetic saying "you're fine, she probably just wanted to see if you checked out." Absolutely inexcusable all around to walk into a guest room, refuse to leave while speaking a foreign language. Terrible staff that needs more training on customer service as well as English.

Top notch. Very clean. Friendly staff. Close to alot of restaurants and shops. Nice spacious rooms. The water pressure in the shower feels like a good massage. Definitely worth the stay!!

One staff member said the City of Allen did it...others shrugged their shoulders. If you want to stay here, be able bodied and good walkers. We won't be back.

Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. We will absolutely be adding Home2 Suites to our list of go-to hotels. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The curtain dividing the bed from the sitting area was perfect for creating a sleeping area for our daughter. Breakfast was great and the hours were very conducive to our schedule. The gym was spacious and had a good amount of machines and equipment. Our one complaint is the parking. The hotel does not have hotel only parking. The parking lot directly in front of the hotel, which on would assume is for the hotel only, can be used by people who are going to restaurants or shopping in the area. This results in there not being adequate parking for hotel guests. The hotel gives out maps with additional areas to park, but the map is blurry/grainy/hard to read. You're given a tag for your car, but it's not a permit- it's to inform tow truck drivers you are staying at the hotel so they can call the hotel and give you an opportunity to move your car. This tells me people are parking in the wrong spots consistently, which isn't surprising given how unclear the parking map is. As a hotel guest, I expect there to be clear areas for parking when the hotel says there is free parking available. Due to this, we will likely not stay at this location again because it is not worth the stress.

Parking is the only issue I had during my stay, the hotel is in a residential/retail compound and there isn't sufficient convenient parking for the guests.

This is my second stay here, both times have been excellent! Rooms are always clean, and cleaned daily even if you stay multiple days, the staff is super friendly, and they have excellent breakfast options in the mornings.

The property and staff were excellent. However, whoever was on the floor above us we heard them running back and forth at midnight and again before 7am. Very unfortunate.

This property is located in a walking-friendly area of Fairview. There are an assortment of restaurants and shopping withing an easy 10 minute walk. Our rooms were extremely clean and well-stocked! The property is a little dated, but they are in the process of updating, so it should be amazing soon! Parking is a little tricky on busy weekends, but during the week, it's a breeze. We'll definitely stay here the next time we come to the Dallas area!

Rooms where so dirty complained to staff but I got the runaround I usually stay at Plano location so we decided to try Allen never again. I had pictures of how dirty sofas and bathrooms were.

Location is great, easy access to many attractions and amenities. Room was spacious. If you're overweight, you might have an issue with the showers in these rooms - the opening between the wall and stationary door is slim for entry/exit. We weren't fans of the hipster breakfast offered on site, ate elsewhere after trying it the first time. Hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there so the gym and indoor pool were intermittently closed throughout our stay. The heating/cooling unit in our room sounds like a small aircraft on a runway, so hopefully that will be part of the property upgrades.

The room was clean and well maintained by the cleaning crew. The only complaint is that the hallways seemed dirty and run down; the carpet was filthy and full of stains, the wall paper or paint was falling apart, and it just (thankfully) didn’t match the rest of the hotel.

The property was nice and the surrounding area was nice. I just couldn’t charge any of my new electronics. They switched my room…th upside was I was able to charge one device. I went to the lobby during breakfast to charge my newer devices. I wasn’t able to fully charge before my departure. Everything else was fine. But no working outlets to charge your phones is a problem.

The lobby was very nice but I stepped off the elevator into a hallway under construction. Bare drywall, wet drywall mud smell, carpets stained and dirty. Wasn’t expecting to step into a construction project for the same price as other options.

Remodeling going on in the building and the smell of epoxy in the hallways and in the room. You should be closed until remodeling is completed. We where placed in a filthy room with stains on the carpeting and the pillows stunk terribly! The stay should have been comped.

What stood out was the Staff. They are one of the most excellent group I have come across (minus one individual, but I consider that an anomaly).

This was probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in traveling with kids. The lobby is spotless and there is constantly someone cleaning. The staff was absolutely lovely and Tyra at the front desk was wonderful. The kitchenette was really helpful and had everything you would need and there’s an actual refrigerator, not a normal, tiny one. The beds were very comfortable. The location couldn’t be better. We were minutes from everything we needed and you could walk out the front door to shopping and restaurants. The hibachi restaurant across the parking lot was delicious and super fun (expensive like hibachi is, but worth it). There isn’t much of a parking lot, but you are given a parking pass upon arrival for the parking garage so that was no big deal. The pool was clean and very nice and the courtyard off the pool was great too. Even had bbqs for if you wanted to grill. I also appreciated the snacks/drinks that could be purchased at the front. Breakfast was good, not your typical scrambled eggs and muffins. They had waffles and egg bites and build your own breakfast sandwiches. Overall I would give this hotel 10/10 and we will definitely stay here when we visit again.

We loved this hotel! The location was perfect for the event we were going to at convention center. We were able to walk over in the morning and come back around 5:30 with no problem at all. The front desk staff was great. If we are in this area again, I would definitely stay here.

Front desk was so rude. We arrive at check in time 4pm we have to wait an hour for check in. She would speak very rudely, like i told u i will tell u whem its ready. Same day we went to dinner forgot our key in the room, she asked for id, i explained my purse was also locked in the room. She said well i cant give u a key. I said wel can someone walk up there to give me my purse so she did and on the way she made a comment of i cant be here all day although she was walking before us. Very rude

We were blown away by the value of this hotel! It was a five star experience at a two-star price. The property is sparkling clean, modern, beautiful. The staff went above and beyond, was very friendly, kind, and attentive. The cleaning staff was professional and friendly as well, and did an and did an excellent job. The breakfast buffet was delicious and a step above the regular hotel breakfast buffet, with many options. They even had vegan sausage! Our room was spacious and so comfortable. The mini kitchen was a nice touch, with everything we needed to make our stay very convenient and comfortable. But the most amazing part of all, was that my son left his switch 2 game console in the lobby on the day of our departure. We did not realize this until we were eight hours down the road, and called in a complete panic. The woman I spoke with Was so reassuring and kind. It had been turned in, and she offered to ship it back to us. We got it at our house just a few days later. I could not believe the hotel had gone above and beyond like this. I was so impressed with their honesty, trustworthiness, and the way they saved us from what would have been major heartbreak at losing this game console! I cannot recommend this hotel, highly enough, and we will definitely be back in the future!

The only issue I had was with the bed as the mattress was broken in, where the center is high but the area you sleep on was a little sunken. Don't get me wrong I would definitely book again and next time bring my dog.

We had a 2 night stay and our Air conditioner wasn’t working the 1st night. They weren’t able to switch our room due to the full room capacity. We were told they would bring a fan but never brought it. It was very uncomfortable sleeping. The second day around 12pm the maintenance was able to fix the AC.

It was my son first time and he felt safe and everyone treated him with respect.

Rooms were somewhat smaller , sofa bed was rocky , and the hotel receptionist only gave us 1 extra pillow for a family of 6 staying in the room . Useless fellows .. Worst part hear this out .. the house keeping maid knocked on my door and asked me to vacate at 10 am so she can clean the room even though checkout was 12 . I guess she wanted to save a trip for herself but she cannot knock and ask me to get out . She could have tried by being nice and polite but not even that . She was pretty serious and unapologetic .. pathetic idiots .

Property is really well maintained. You can tell that the employee's take pride in this property. The hotel staff are very welcoming, happy to assist you and have made my stay very enjoyable. You literally walk out the door and have restaurants, coffee and shopping across the street. You are just a short walking distance from Whole Foods, Armor Coffee and Target. I have found that this property is in a very convenient area for what I need.

Checking lady very rude, we told her we had a service dog and she demanded proof of documents, we told her we did not have them with us at that time and in addition Hotels cannot ask for proof of a service dog's status. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), but she did not care and demanded for documents and charged us a pet fee.

Great location that you can walk to several dining options as well as a movie theater. Clean rooms, indoor pool/outdoor patio was well kept. Onsite laundry was available with 2 washers/2 dryers (it was always in use when I was there) Overall I would stay here again versus another hotel in the area that I have stayed at.

Housekeeping was missed for a day. When called to report and ask for fresh towels was met with a very rude staff person. Her or the general staff possibly need better training on how to work in the hospitality business especially if you are using the Hilton brand.

The electricity went out in the building and elevator when i arrived. My room door would not lock properly and room was filthy. I left and refused to stay bc it was unsafe and very unclean for Allen TX and the area

The only complaint I have is how the hotel allowed dogs to be in the area near the breakfast buffet. That's unsanitary. Three dogs were there and barking at each other and shaking their fur! I couldn't believe it and I'm a dog owner. They should not be allowed near open food! We don't know if the dogs shed hair into the air, have fleas, etc.

I liked the size of the ADA room we stayed in

I booked a king size studio and I did not choose to have accessibility. What I paid for is not what I received when I asked the front desk about the room she said that is all they have and they are sold out of the others. The room had an odor and not clean as the previous room and it was wheel chair accessible and I felt like that should have been given to someone who has a wheelchair. Being an honor member does not mean much and even though this was not my first time staying there. I booked two different rooms and should have been able to choose the room I paid for. The first room was fine, it was quiet and clean. The second room, was not what I paid for and the experience was by far the worst.

Parking lot needs to be bigger. It was difficult to find a parking spot and we had to use a handicap spot.

I walked in and a gentleman was ahead of me. There were 2 computers 2 employees, I was never told "I'll be right with you" or anything like that.....one lady helped the gentlemen and the other stood around. We made eye contact and she walked away and came back.....I wasn't helped. I waited for about 15 minutes to be helped

Great property for being very close to stopping and restaurants. It was quiet considering the shopping district just down stairs. Room was great size, full kitchen, clean and fresh, nothing felt dated. Lots of hot items on the breakfast buffet. Pool was indoor, open and looked great.

Parking was hard to find, either than that great

The location was nice and convenient and staff was nice. No fault of the hotel but there was construction and close parking was challenging after a certain time. In my personal opinion the continental breakfast wasn’t good. So luckily the was a place close to go but we picked your spot with the hope of convenient breakfast. Also there was some lady who I don’t think was staying there but was very intimidating hanging out in the lobby. I said hello to her on our way out and not only did she not speak, she stared me down in a way that made me not want to turn my back to her. And one morning while heading out for breakfast, we noticed everyone that was down stairs for breakfast was all sitting on one side of the area….away from her. Honestly other than those things it was a nice place. I would come back.

The only bad thing was the parking is not to much parking for the hotel to much business around

This location is clean and service was great. Parking is awful, there is not enough parking for the size of the hotel, so you have to park about a mile away and walk if you come in too late. I do not recommend this location for this reason.

Breakfast is hot and Good…people are Truly chill and quiet

Parking was issue because of construction so we weren’t able to park within hotel property. Also water was out the morning of our departure, with no prior notice only at the time of checkout there was a sign at front desk, that was put up last minute, and it said that it would be turned off for a few hours, it was 10am
