Everything was great! The only issue we had was I could not get the body wash dispenser in the shower to work. Everything else worked great! I did not report it because I was leaving immediately after I discovered it.

Nice for two day stay.

Front staff was usually not at the front but tucked away in one of the pods at the business center area or sitting at a table in the back corner. When we arrived 3 of us used the toilet and there was a water leak where the toilet and floor met. I went down a half a hour after we arrived, reported it to the desk agent. I messaged again at 8 pm that maintenance did not come to check it out and at 11 pm I received a message saying they did not see my report and wanted to know if I wanted towels. The others were sleeping. The shower door would not close completely so sone water went on the floor. Bath towels were worn with strings hanging from them and the bed cover was torn at a seam.

No baggage check for late travelling guests and even a very helpful front desk person never heard of any hotel offering baggage checks in 5 years of working at Tru. This is the only down point There was time when baggage checks were common courtesy from any Hilton Hotels for guests who check out but have late flight so they don’t have to lug their suitcases with them while awaiting flight time.

Our room was very clean and the bedwas very comfortable

Seating for breakfast. Food not restocked and when asked for something was told they were out. It was a lie, because when pushed they would say let me look and would come back with one. I was told he looked in the back and this was the last one. Breakfast still had over an hour to go.

This is a serious concern for anyone traveling with young children. I would recommend avoiding this hotel unless this issue is addressed, or confirming ahead of time that proper safety locks are installed.

The check-in process was easy. The breakfast was good. All of the staff were nice. I will most definitely stay here again.

I was very impressed with the hotel staff, room, and cleanliness of the hotel. I was at breakfast before breakfast was served and the egg omelet was warm and delicious! The hotel staff were very helpful checking me in and out of the hotel. The A/C worked great!

We booked at a Hilton expecting a certain standard of quality. Instead it felt more like a motel 6. The shower was awful-water sprayed out way too hard and the showerhead doesn’t adjust. Towels were rough. The lady at check in acted as if she was annoyed to be working-barely any eye contact. Room was tiny and dark. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The hotel is good overall, but the only problem is that I saw cockroaches in the room, including under the bed. This was very unpleasant and concerning.

The rooms were clean but very simple. There was no closet and no drawers for clothes. Parking was free and the property was easy to get to.

Clean, friendly staff

We were charged a pet fee even though we didn't have a pet. We flew in from Calif to pick up a puppy the morning we flew back. The puppy was delivered to us in the lobby and was not brought up to our room. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR BILLING.We were told our card would be refunded.

It was odd when we checked in we were given only 1 key with a small post it note on it with our room number. Pretty unprofessional for something with the name Hilton. All in all the stay was totally fine. Nothing bad happened.

After a very long day, my mother and I showered and got into bed to watch tv and rest. The tv would not turn on, the front desk instructed me to check wires behind the wall mount rather than send maintenance. The tv continued to have no signal for our stay. The toilet tank would not fill intermittently and we would have to remove the tank lid to flush the toilet. The front desk did not even try to apologize for the issues at hand or provide a resolution. Disappointed and would not stay here again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Note Hotel is next to I75 and noise from the highway is like living next to NASCAR racetrack. I wanted pancakes but the machine was broken or not filled. Otherwise breakfast was great. Parking was nice. Staff was nice and polite. Very Professional. One downside was the shower head was rough and not comfortable. Otherwise I would stay again.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times and each time was a great stay. Staff is friendly and the area is close to lots of shopping. The hotel is comfortable and the rooms are decently sized.

The breakfast menu was fresh and had a wide variety of foods to choose from. As a vegetarian, it’s often difficult to find much in the way of vegetarian options at hotels, but this hotel is the exception. I was able to eat something different every day of my stay. The staff were friendly and courteous as always and I was sad when I had to cut my trip short by a few days due to illness. The staff was extremely helpful when I did have to leave early and so was the manager, Monica. I have recommended this hotel to other travelers and will continue to do so in the future.

The room was very clean and orderly. One lamp did not work. Really missed having access to a microwave because afternoon coffee in lobby was only lukewarm. But everything else was exceptional!

Did not eat the breakfast myself, but I definitely saw that they had all you could want. The location was wonderful! Very close to everything, super safe, quiet, etc. The hotel itself was extremely clean and new-feeling. I will definitely be back if I am back in the area.

The room had an unpleasant odor from the AC. Staff was OK, but not particularly helpful. Coffee/tea 24 hours was promised, but there was no coffee or even hot water after late morning. This was an important deficiency to us because there was no way to heat water or make coffee in the room. Basically a decent but not well run, no frills hotel.

They use mattress cover and bed spread replace blanket, we first time met . They don't clean the room when we stay ,that ok we don't care.

Other than that the beds were decent and the room was clean. The morning breakfast options I think was the best part of the hotel.

The check in staff was sitting in the very back of the hotel on her phone talking to family members. Once she realized that I need help she finally came to the desk. Once I. The room the room didn’t have any towels to take a shower and there was hair left from previous people. I know hair can be hard to pick up but the hair was in plain sight. The ac was so hard to manage it was freezing at 74 and you were sweating at 75 cold ac. No heat was used. The food was disappointing super rubbery pancakes, oatmeal was old taste. No interaction with staff in the morning. The workout room was okay for very basic workout. The bike monitor didn’t work .

One highway

Hotel was clean, front desk employee was super nice and helpful at check in. Only complaint was everything was out during breakfast and nothing was restocked while we were there. Had to settle for toast. Eggs, no sausage. Cereal, no milk. Pancakes, no syrup? Kitchen staff need to step it up.

Wonderful stay

Room was nice. Beds horrible, more like a couch fold out, as a result woke up with horrible back pain. Could hear the highway traffic when a/c shut off, had to turn on some noise to drown cars out to sleep.

As for the hotel itself. It was clean and fairly new. A good location in Allen. We felt safe. The breakfast options were terrible, nothing healthy, and the walls are paper thin. So we slept horribly due the the volume of the action movie next door.

I've stayed at other Tru Bu Hiltons in different states. I like to choose them for their modern rooms, breakfast, and customer service. But this location was different. The damp smell in the room came from a moldy, uncovered wall in the bathroom. Breakfast in the morning had very few and very basic options, and the service at checkout was poor. I think I'd choose another hotel if I returned to this area.

The room was extremely small

This is a nice hotel and the breakfast is great with lots of variety. The bed and pillows are comfortable. It was difficult to sleep however because the walls aren’t well insulated and you can hear everyone around you. The hotel is located just off the freeway so the street noise is also pretty loud.

I was 100% cheated from what I started out with. I was looking at a property that was a Hilton Garden Inn that I've stayed up before and really enjoyed. And when I went on into the experience, I was subtly switched to a property called Tru by Hilton. Why I didn't catch it I don't know, but I got ripped off completely. This is not the experience I wanted. This is not the hotel I wanted and I'm really upset if I could sue somebody over it I would.

Disappointed. Very unclean. 1st room: toilet didn’t work AT ALL. Got there late & had to leave for work by 6:30a the next day, so having to completely repack bags, move bags to a different room & unpack again due to non-working toilet sucked. No apology- they almost seemed inconvenienced to have to change my room. 2nd room: multiple hairs in shower & on counter, crumbs all in bed frame, terrible musty smoke smell in room, and STRONG marijuana & smoke smell all in hall, elevators, and right outside hotel door (where they let guests smoke directly in front of doors to lobby). Also is right in front of WalMart & right off highway, so not great location. Hall carpets are also horribly stained & gross. Just not good at all- shocked by these good reviews. I’ve recently stayed at 2 other hotels (Marriott & Drury) in area that knocked my stay out of the park & were SO clean. This was NOT.

The Tru hotel has always been very good. But the shower heads and water pressure are terrible. All the staff were very friendly and helpful except the desk person on Sat night. He didn’t greet anyone, kept his head in the computer or phone. The hot water for tea was cold and he didn’t do anything to correct it help anyone.

This was a basic hotel. Clean and updated. We stayed as a family of five. It was very affordable, which was nice because we could get two rooms. We could not get them connecting which was a bummer. The pool area was nice and clean, very basic, without any shade. There is bathroom out there and it was nice and clean. They did have pool towels available. There is a pool table in the lobby that we enjoyed using. No microwave in room but there is one available in the lobby. The coffee and tea were not hot or fresh during the day. One small thing that I have noticed hotels doing that I just don’t like and this hotel was no different. Using microfiber bedsheets. I realize they are cheap and don’t wrinkle but the are awful to sleep on! This hotel was in a nice area and we felt very safe and did not worry about our vehicle. There is a lot of food and shopping close by as well.

The hotel is very clean and recently updated. The area is safe and quiet. Even though yards from the freeway, you can't hear the traffic in your room. The pillows are fluffy but will flatten when laid on. If you enjoy a firm one bring your own. My other issue would be the air conditioning. We checked in at 74 degrees and set it to 68. The room never got below 71 making it uncomfortable for hot sleepers, even with a fan. This may have something to do with the motion sensor system. The breakfast options were plentiful and the staff were great handling any requests. We often choose Tru if available in the area we are traveling to.

My husband and I stayed here as a quick over night stay before catching a plane the following day. It was comfortable but the room was a little smaller than anticipated. The breakfast was good for what was there and gave us a quick bite before catching a flight that morning.

Rooms are small Could not control the air conditioner. It was either freezing or too hot. Set the thermostat at 72 and the room temp got to 85. Set it back to 68 and temp remained there.

Except for the fact that it's a little too close to the freeway, and you can hear the traffic noise all night, the hotel is great! Affordable rates, excellent condition, and a lovely lobby area.

We had a very quick turn & burn trip and needed a hotel near Dallas to stay in on the way home. This one had superb ratings so we chose to stay here. We were not disappointed.

Our 1-night stay at Tru by Hilton Ake went well. Room was clean and better than average for a buget hotel. Value for money was fsntastic. Though next to the Hwy 77 Expressway, the room was quiet and AC worked well. Hot and cold breakfast was better than averagecwith hot eggs, sausage, and pancakes plus continental selections. Staff were professional though a bit warmer reception would have been appreciated. (This was not enough to drop the overall 5 (excellent) rating. We would definitely stay here, again.

Toilet not working in. Front desk girl didn't seem to care that this was a problem. Never did apologize for the inconvenience. I had to pay for another night. Not her fault but she could have given me a discount for the inconvenience. No coffee in the rooms and no closet space for your clothes. Rooms could have bigger refrigerator.

Pool is open till 10 PM for those that have a late check-in like us. The gym was 10 out of 10 everything new clean ..college school vibe, even though we went with the family.

Housekeeping never once came to clean our room—not even after multiple requests. Every morning, when I asked the main housekeeper for clean towels, I was told to “wait because they had a group in.” Eventually, I was made to bring our dirty towels into their laundry room myself, which is completely unacceptable—especially for guests managing a disability. Because the hotel bedding had visible stains and didn’t feel clean, I chose to use our own blankets, sheets, and mattress topper. I returned the hotel’s bedding early in the stay, yet when it came time to check out, we were hit with an additional $100 charge. At first, they claimed it was for missing blankets—until I reminded them those had been returned. Then the reason suddenly changed to “an odor.” That excuse didn’t make any sense. We don’t smoke. Our service dogs are regularly groomed (including during this stay) and attend daycare every few days. There was never any explanation of what the so-called odor was, and it felt like a made-up excuse to justify a charge once their first reason didn’t hold up. We stayed here for a dance competition. Overall it met our needs, but our room had a smell and the AC unit was really noisy.

We stayed two nights to move our son and his girlfriend from Michigan to Texas as they start their new life together with their first jobs out of college. And this hotel was absolutely awesome, super clean, quiet, excellent service and amenities. We will be repeat guests when we come to visit. Thank you for making a huge moment in our families life so much easier and enjoyable! I wanted to add that we had a double queen bed the first night and then the second night we moved to a single king bed room. We checked out of the first room super early to get them moved into their apartment and you guys let us check into the second room at checkout so we didn't have to reload all of our luggage back into our car and then bring it all back in for our second night, we really appreciated that, it made everything a lot easier. Again, we will be repeat, frequent guests because of the outstanding service we received!

Hotel is very modern. No extras there very minimal. Our problem was check in. We told the girl we did not want a room in the front of hotel. Its faces the freeway and very noisy she told us she did not have one ready and we need to come back in 1 1/2 hr. She gave us a key to a room to come back later. We came back and she gave us a key to a room on the freeway again!!!! She had to change it once more.

Front desk staff was excellent, quick to remedy cold coffee and a shampoo bottle that didnt have the stopper removed. Only wish the pool was heated, it was 80 outside but the pool was too cold to enjoy a swim! Otherwise clean hotel, felt safe, loved how close it is to the cracker barrel and walmart. Would stay here again if I need to go back to the area.

I stayed in room 318 overlooking the Hwy. I enjoyed my room for the most part. It was a peaceful and quiet room, other than the sound of hwy traffic which didn't bother me but might bother some guests. I was not super impressed with the cleanliness of my room. More training should be done with housekeeping because there was hair along the floorboards which was not mine and water spots on the bathroom floor which could have been left behind from the last shower. Nothing terrible, but small details make it evident when corners are cut during cleaning. Proper training would help. The bed in that room did not offer the most comfortable night's sleep. For me, the mattress was lumpy and uneven. Also, there were 4 pillows on the bed, all of them were very soft. It would have been nice to have a choice of a firmer pillow on the bed. And I was often cold at night, even with the AC 'off". I would have liked a thicker comforter and not just a thin blanket with a sheet. Finally, a coffee maker in the room for guests, like me, who do not want to have to go downstairs, first thing in the morning for a cup of coffee. A coffee maker in each room is a simple convenience to offer your guests.

I rarely review, but I felt compelled to after this stay. This was by far the best experience and stay I've had in a very long time! From check in to check out, it was a stellar experience. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was actually good haha. The staff was nice, professional and pleasant. This was just all around a really great stay and I will definitely keep this as my go to when im in the area.

Stay was alright but we had a problem with the ac unit as it kept making an awful noise. As they don't have in house service and the only option was to changed rooms, as we had already unpacked, we just sucked it up and spent the night trying to turning off the unit. Needless to say, we didn't sleep.

The stay was great and the staff very welcoming but the one and only thing i didn't care for was the breakfast. Some of the food wasn't cooked all the way but Other then that i would stay again.

The lobby was incredible for our stay as a team for a tournament. Billiards, TV with sectional couch, chairs, tables, large table. Definitely looking into these hotels moving forward. The staff was also incredibly accommodating with all the kids strolling about. And, there is a Walmart within a drive just through the parking lot.

Request a room on the side opposite from freeway, otherwise you will have constant noise in the room at night.

We were given a room with a malfunctioning heater. The room was very cold, but it was late, so we went to bed hoping the room would warm up. Cold night. Learned next morning that the room was not supposed to be rented due to the heater issue. Good service to promptly move us into a different room in the morning. New room's bedside reading lamp did not work, and hotel could not fix or replace that lamp.

Everything was great

Stay was good. Staff was excellent. Beds were very uncomfortable, mattresses need replacement.
