Great little place in excellent location. Cottage-like room - very nice & spacious, with kitchen and dining table. Some things could be upgraded (bathroom) and the mattress should be replaced by a pillow-top, but otherwise, was a lovely place that we really enjoyed.

Check-in was difficult as office was closed and we had to go to office next door, reach someone through an intercom to find where our room key and instructions had been left. Areas of mold/mildew in bathroom. Only one chair in the room, and it was too rickety to sit on. Definitely did not deserve the rating it had been given. Will not stay again.

Stayed there for one night. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed, and a nice kitchenette. We enjoyed hanging out on their rooftop deck. The pool was a little cool for our 12 year old daughter, according to her. Excellent location to the beach, restaurants and shopping.

Our room didn't have carpet, which we love, never know how nasty the carpets are. People were friendly, very clean, well taken care of. We are coming back to stay for a week instead of 2 nights. We just loved it. The only problem and it was my fault, was we were upstairs, my wife can't climb stairs, it was also a last minute booking and only 1 room left as per Expedia. So next time we will plan this out and make sure we get a bottom floor. We loved it here and going back!!! Please don't hesitate to book. Like old Florida. Thanks Granada Inn. Was a great time.

Nice, little inn very close to the beach and Las Olas area. Walkability was great, even in the cooler, windy weather. The room was super clean. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the pool or patio areas due to time constraints but it looked welcoming and clean, too. The only "issue" we had was not knowing if we'd be towed or not overnight because we didn't receive a parking pass for our vehicle at check-in. We returned from a night out and noticed there were "tow away" signs all along the parking area, so that was a little nerve-wracking to leave it to chance. At check-out, I let the employee know and he was apologetic and gave me a parking pass for next time.

I was in Fort Lauderdale to attend a conference but did not want to pay conference hotel high rates. I chose this hotel because it was closest. It is a smaller hotel so ecpectations for business travelers should be realistic. On the plus side: nice staff at the reception, pretty outdoors setting with comfortable chairs and small swimming pools, next to the beach and close to lots of family type restaurants. On the minus side: small room and my bathroom could use an upgrade soon. Smaller things also are overlooked like no cups for drinking coffee and no water glasses. If arriving at mid day, it may be difficult to figure out how to get to the reception. No business like services

Grounds are nice, room was OK, check in was disappointing. We arrived early and were told our room would be ready by 1 p.m. We came back at 2pm and it was not ready. So they gave us another room which to my understanding was not a nice as where they planned to put us, but was what we paid for.

We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. We also met a couple of other guests that were also friendly. Some of them had been coming for years, a good sign. The courtyard around the pool as well as the roof top patio were very nice. The pool itself looked very inviting but unfortunately it was unseasonably cold in Fort Lauderdale so we didn't get in for a swim. All in all we had a good stay and will be back.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Granada Inn. From the moment we walked in and received an immediate upgrade (unprompted) until the moment we sadly had to leave we loved the amenities. The gleaming tile floors and comfortable decor has an old world charm. The two beautiful pools were a welcome respite from the hot sun. They even provided beach chairs for our jaunt to the beach. Our suite had everything we could have possibly needed. The pièce de résistance was the rooftop lounge. From here we reclined upon a comfortable lounging bed, sipped wine and watched the technicolor sun disappear below the horizon only to be replaced with a glowing orange moon.

I've stayed here now 3 or 4 times and have found it to be a pleasing experience. I don't really need the amenities of the nearby large hotels and prefer this as a nice alternative in the same general area. Walking distance to the strip and I even walked over the bridge to our holiday party at Chima on Las Olas - very pleasant walk!

I travel for business a good amount so staying at this resort was a breath of fresh air. The staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful. The location of the resort is ideal. Walk about 600 feet &-your standing on the beach. The pool areas (there are two) are clean & beautifully surrounded by mature lanscaping. The buildings are mature as well but kept up & very clean &-functional with latest amenities. The furniture is older but in good shape. The mattress on my bed was top of the line & comfortable. I slept as good as I do at home. The sofa in my room was firm and comfortable too. Not all smashed down and worn. My room also had a full kitchen which was clean, & in good shape. The perimeter of the resort is gated & you need a key to enter. A nice security feature. So if you are looking for a great place to stay in a great location for a great price this is it. Like anything else in this world one size don't fit all. If you require the high end sterile commercial cookie cutter hotel this isn't the place for you. Stay at the Westin that is literally 250 feet down the road. You will pay at least double the price, Get the typical big hotel service, room, bed, & amenities. For me & my family the Granada inn is ideal. They get my business everytime, hands down. The staff here truly understand what real customer service is. & they aim high to please

1/2 a block to the beach and several eating & drinking establishments within a short walking distance. It was close enough to all of these things, but the location on the short street was far enough away so noise wasn't a factor. This place pretends on some websites to be something it is not. We had booked the 3 bedroom penthouse which on arrival hadn't been cleaned properly - hairs in the shower and on sheets, kitchen grubby with oil spills down the cupboards, the oven was disgusting, drawers dirty, cereal on the floor, couches stained and had a surface of sand on them. And they had the nerve to charge us a cleaning fee on exit which wasn't refunded. They sent in 3 cleaners the following day and it was still not clean enough - no excuse for that. There have to be cleaner places to stay in the area and cheaper!

Hadn't realised when we booked the hotel that it was classed as Gay friendly. However, that wasn't a specific problem for us, as all the staff and guests were polite. Hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the beach front, but tucked away down a side street away from the traffic and noise. The hotel reception is only manned until 6pm, so if you have a late flight back to the UK as we did, we had to retrieve our luggage before 6pm. We could have made use of the outdoor facilities by the pool after 6pm, but as it had rained, the seating was all wet, so we arrange an early taxi to the airport. Although the hotel was pleasant, I think I would book a more mainstream hotel if we were staying in Fort Lauderdale again as they would more likely offer some changing facilities prior to travel back to the UK.

I will list the items to be covered: 1. The facility is dated in the 50's; it really had not been updated. 2. There are two facilities; as mentioned by others; that which could pass for a Bed and Breakfast if they served breakfast; and a 50s era motel that has not been updated. a. The room they first showed us had a horrible musty/dead animal smell. That was in the motel property. 3. They did move us to the original building next door where we checked in. 4. That is also very old; somewhat updated with new bathroom fixtures, paint. The furniture is ancient but somewhat quaint. 5. The facility is immaculate; room and bathroom. The towels are fresh and new. The closet is quite large. a. Not a real ironing board but a mini that one places on a table b. When we mentioned that the automatic lite that would lite the outside steps was not working they said they knew. There is no elevator; the only way to get up to your room day or night. The WiFi is a router sitting outside on the porch; basically a residential/small office unit. When one checks in you are asked to initial a waiver of liability clause; never saw this in my road warrior experience. The management is pleasant. The office closes after 6:00 pm. When we checked out at around 7:30 am to catch our flight; the office personnel was just arriving. In short; if you are used to old motels; this location will be attractive. If you are used usual modern, moderate to more upscale facilities this is not for you. We really felt we had stepped back into our childhood during our stay; that is what things looked like in the 50's. Not what we were looking for or would expect from a bed and breakfast. From other ratings; some like this type of environment. In my opinion most will not.

I loved the location of this small, quiet, well-kept hotel - about one long block from the beachfront, but quietly tucked away. Lovely plantings, nice decor (except for some cheap furniture - drawer already broken when I arrived), friendly staff.. These are two adjoining properties, and I actually ended up staying on the Casa del Mar side. Two nice pools, a lovely rooftop terrace on the Granada side. I had been traveling for a month and was looking for a peaceful chance to snooze and get back into the right time zone - this was perfect. I made meals for myself, sat out and drank wine in the poolside area, didn't have to go out at all unless I wanted to. Nice to find a homey place in the midst of the giant hotels that have taken over what used to a be a low and low-key beachfront last time I was here (oh - lets see - 35 years ago!). A few small cons - my room could have used a lick of fresh paint - marks and stains...room servicing was minimal - small crumbs from food prep still on the floor after they left. But overall a really relaxing and attractive porperty.

I loved everything about the hotel. Conveniently located to everything, clean, super friendly staff and fellow guests, a block from beach, beach chairs available, nice private pool, cozy clean rooms. As a solo traveler, feeling safe was very important to me; I loved how you could only access through a locked gate. My only VERY MINOR piece of constructive critisism - coffee, cups, utensils, shampoos were not replished on a daily basis. I had to remember to ask each day. Other than that - absolutely perfect! I will stay again and again and again!

The place was, clean, quiet and with extra security. The grounds were cozy - not the stark feeling you get from other motels nearby. The beach was a five min walk with restaurants and bars within short walking distance. I stayed at two other places for the same price - one of them being right on the beach, but this one was by far the best of the three. The adjacent motel is owned by the same people allowing access to either pool and sitting areas as an option. I would definitely rent from them again. Cons: Wifi could be slow at times and even though it's listed as a B&B, there was no breakfast ...or coffee .

we have stayed in some super expensive hotels over the years with all the extras, but The Granada Inn was the best - heads above all the others. It was quaint, rooms renovated and very clean, staff was polite and helpful and all the other guests were so friendly. Safe and secure, freel parking right outside the courtyard, had to have a key to get inside the courtyard. I don't think I've ever felt so safe in a motel before, even the expensive high rises. Will definitely go back, was less than a block from the beach. Very relaxing and just what we were looking for. The owner is on the property every day and lives very near the property.
