Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its convenient location near the beach and restaurants, as well as its friendly and helpful staff. However, some guests have complained about the condition of the rooms and the hotel's amenities, which they feel are outdated and in need of maintenance and updating.
- Convenient location near the beach and restaurants
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Outdated and poorly maintained rooms
- Amenities in need of updating
- 5/5
Very helpful and cooperative staff. Easy check in and clean environment. 3 minutes walk to the beach and many restaurants.
- 5/5
The room was really nice and clean. The staff was wonderful
- 3/5
Hotel was fine, however, the bed was horrible. sagged and squeeked whenever i moved.
- 3/5
It was a great price for a great location. The bathroom smelled damp, and the door and doorknob to our room seemed ready to fall apart - would not have been comfortable staying there if it weren't for the gate at the entrance as well. It was fine, but not great.
- 5/5
We loved everything about this property. It was quaint and quiet. The walk to the beach takes 3 minutes. Loved Loved Loved the courtyard, so tropical. We will absolutely be staying there again!!!!
- 4/5
Pool was out of service. We used the sister building pool.
- 2/5
Gerardo was very nice but the other guy not so much. You are literally paying for location only. Place is kept relatively clean but not well maintained. My wife had to stuff Kleenex in the gaping holes around bathroom window frame. Bed was only so so with paper thin blanket. Room was very humid and AC could not remove it. Room info says “kitchenette”. NOT. It’s a mini fridge with a microwave sitting on top, and a coffee pot on top of that, taking up space of what very little space you had. I used coffee pot to just get hot water because I prefer a specific coffee. The water came out brown and chunks of sediment. :-(
- 3/5
Grounds and pool were nice. Room was old and tired. Bed not very comfortable.
- 2/5
It’s a 2.5 star. It needs updating and a deeper clean. Great location though.
- 3/5
The property is quite tired / dated and could use some tlc (new cushions on the lounge chairs in particular). The paint was peeling in our shower walls and there was no plug for our little kitchen sink. The property has many lovely places to relax (if you don’t mind the tired cushions) and two pools. It is very quiet.
- 5/5
Charming, close to the beach, friendly and accommodating staff.
- 5/5
Very well run hotel with excellent accommodating staff.
- 2/5
Apesar do lugar ser um pouco antigo, poderia ser melhor conservado que ficaria legal, as fotos não representam como está atualmente. Limpeza deixa bastantes a desejar e a piscina estava interditada. Ponto forte é a localização que é muito boa.
- 1/5
I didnt like everything about the property, never every reccomend this property to me again.
- 5/5
From the moment I walked in I loved it. It’s quaint n personal. Felt as if I were staying at a friends summer home. The cushions on the pool lounge chairs needed some cleaning to make everything perfect. The staff was wonderful. Unfortunately there is construction going on down the block so it could get noisy during the day.
- 4/5
Hotel located in a quiet block close to the beach. Hotel is quaint and comfortable. Needs a little TLC. We found the AC window unit plugged to an extention cord! That is an electrical fire waiting to happen! Along with the TV and dvd player. We stayed in a junior suite with a kitchen. Place is a little run down and we found two dead roaches under the sink in the bathroom. It is florida and we expect iguanas and bugs, but it shouldnt be inside the hotel room. The room felt more like an old house as opposed to a hotel loacation is great though. Place just needs to be cleaned better and the electrical issue with plugs be fixed. Staff is pretty friendly and helpful too.
- 3/5
Very friendly hotel staff. A couple of cleanliness issues. There was sand in our sheets before we ever got in the beds. Ghost ants on the night stand. No curtain in the shower when we arrived, but that was quickly remedied. Shower head super short. I'm 5'6" and had to duck to wash hair. Pools were nice and well kept.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay overall and even stayed an extra night. The staff was caring, attentive and friendly! The pool was refreshing with nice tropical plants surrounding it. The pool has adequate seating in and out of the sun as well. The property was charming and had an old Florida vibe. I would recommend staying here for that and it's proximity to restaurants and the beach. The only complaint is that the room could have been cleaner.
- 5/5
Very Nice and Cozy Property!! Will definitely be back.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. A bit outdated but cozy. Steps to the beach. No frills. Perfect for a good night's rest. Clean. Owner was wonderfully pleasant.
- 4/5
Like an oasis ,a block from the beach..quiet and comfortable
- 4/5
The hotel has a beautiful floral garden where the pool is located which I enjoy but my major issue was with the comfort of the bed, the lack of outlets and the cleanliness. In order to use the microwave you had to move it from the counter to the table. The mattress sunk in the middle on one bed & on the other it felt like you were sleeping on an air mattress very uncomfortable. The bed was not made except for the blanket being thrown over the bed with the pillows still indented with my head print. The 2 gentlemen who run the place are very helpful and pleasant. Overall I would consider staying again.
- 4/5
A quite small hotel. Small rooms. Nothing luxurious but comfortable. Best part was the patio by the pool where you can sun yourself away from the crowds.
- 4/5
Close to beaches great for restaurants
- 5/5
beautiful pool and property. Grateful for microwave and fridge.
- 4/5
Great location. Overall condition dated but location makes up for condition. Beautiful grounds
- 4/5
Great location and nice pool area. Beds were extremely worn out and we felt like we were sliding to the middle. Considering the use of the place was used mainly for the overnight sleeping, that was disappointing. The shower head also will only wet you down from your stomach down as it must be made to accommodate only people under 5’.
- 4/5
Room #12 could use updating in bathroom and new locks on doors. Staff was very welcoming and any problems were quickly corrected. Loved that they had beach chairs to use. That was a BIG plus for us
- 4/5
This was our 3rd four day stay at this Hotel. Overall our stays have been very enjoyable. The hotel has a great location(a short walk to the beach). The rooms are small but the bed was comfortable and each room has a kitchenette sink with microwave and small refrigerator. Our stay was from Feb 20-24, 2019 and our only complaint was the abundance of black flies. However we will return.
- 3/5
No hot water. Wifi was very iffy. Got there about 630 pm. No pne in office. Grounds were very nice however the weather wasnt nice enough to enjoy them.
- 1/5
The bathroom was old and dirty No water pressurtoweela were abrassive No elevated Bed and breakfast.... with no breakfast....
- 4/5
Good location. An older hotel, which adds to its character. Some room amenities could use upgrading.
- 3/5
The first night we were in a room with 2 outlets not working and no cable or WiFi. Additionally their concept of a kitchenette was a mini fridge with a mini microwave and coffeemaker stacked on top. The next day the entire hotel lost power and after it was repaired our room issues were still not fixed so they moved us to a much better room. One of the front desk attendants was quite dismissive of our issues and so flustered by his job. Thankfully the other staff person, Tosan, was attentive and managed our room change. The pool and garden areas are lovely and relaxing and the hotel is in an awesome location. I would only consider staying again if I was guaranteed a better room.
- 3/5
Lou, the Manager, was very helpful and knowledgeable, it was clean and close to the beach and many places to go out. We had to let the water run for 5-10 minutes to get hot water in our shower in Room 11. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee?
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Nice private get away. Staff is great.
- 5/5
Nice hotel with cozy rooms, excellent quaint setting
- 5/5
Front desk was super nice and helpful. Hotel was perfect for what we wanted...secluded, calm, pretty, near everything and comfortable..and the restaurants surrounding this place are superb!
- 5/5
Me and my husband stayed for quick weekend get away. We had the absolute best time! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Although there's no onsite dining, you are walking distance from dining and the beach. We'll definitely be back!
- 4/5
A little pleasant oasis amidst bigger surrounding hotels. Near the beach. Well appointed, clean and quiet.
- 5/5
my family and i had a great time at La Casa Delmar . Def, going back !! wonderful people staff and gret Hotel !!
- 5/5
This was our first time in Fort Lauderdale and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The location was perfect. Love how quiet and secluded it was! Can’t wait to come back and stay again!
- 4/5
I had a business meeting at the Westin which is 500 ft away & twice as much $$$ & wanted to make the most of my down time since I?m a wife & mother of 2 teens. I just needed a quiet weekend! So I found this gem! Away from the tourists & their families (no kids)!!! The bed was super comfortable & room was updated & perfect with fridge & microwave. I enjoyed the beauty of the property/courtyard & clean/refreshing pool! I will be planning my next trip soon! This place is perfect!
- 3/5
nice and easy to stay at. the staff is very helpful. We enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing, when you enter it’s like you just entered a little greenery paradise ! The grounds were well kept, and my room was very nice !
- 4/5
We stayed at La Casa del Mar for a weeklong couple vacation. The place looks like a little garden and is absolutely beautiful. Ideally located, a short 3-minute walk from the beach, and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The atmosphere there is very quiet and family-friendly; most of the time, we had the patio and the swimming pool just by ourselves. We would definitely go back there for a future vacation. Small note: not all rooms are equipped with a stove top and toaster (ours did not), so if you plan on using these, it is better to ask ahead to be put in a room that has one.
- 3/5
Near beach, on-site pool. Close to restaurants and and shops but on a quiet side street.
- 4/5
Nice stay, quiet, relaxing. Close to restaurants and the beach. AC unit was a little loader than normal. Didn't bother me, but the other half. Would stay again.
- 4/5
Comfortable place a block from the beach and the Inter Coastal. Lots of restaurants and bar within walking distance. Lots of amenities - two beautiful pools with pool towels, lots of lounge chairs in sun and shade, outdoor BBQ, sun deck above, beach chairs for the beach. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Our second time visiting and plan for many more stays
- 4/5
It's a great hotel for the price. The location can't be beat. The AC unit was a little loud but I've had that issue with the pricey chains as well.
- 3/5
Not a hotel either. But a really nice mix of the two. The grounds were quiet, well maintained, and well landscapes to give a tropical feel. The room was quaint, and had just enough for the two of us. A bed, small kitchen area, and a bathroom. Nothing luxurious, but that?s not what we were looking for. Yes I would stay there again. And Yes I would recommend!
- 4/5
We stayed at La Casa Del Mar for 2 nights the last week of February. This was a wonderful experience. The room, though small, fit our needs. It was clean and setup with a TV, microwave & mini fridge. They have 2 pools, a rooftop patio and are 1 block from the beach! I would highly recommend anyone staying there. They are listed as a Bed & Breakfast but that is an error. They serve no food. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
Cannot beat the location to the beach and the shops. The staff are friendly, cheerful, very helpful, and attentive. Our balcony room was smoke free; however, smoking is permitted just outside on the balcony! Our towels were replaced each day which was nice. Will request a true smoke free room on our next visit. as we definitely will stay at La Casa Del Mar in the future.
- 3/5
Great location, close to beach, restaurants etc. pretty courtyard with pool. Our room was very small, barely enough amenities so they could claim it had a kitchen. But it didn't matter, because there was nowhere to sit. Oh, and it wasn't cheap.
- 3/5
Room was small and outdated but it fulfilled our needs.
- 5/5
This is a smaller, older hotel; but well maintained. I like the 2-3 floor hotels like this one, as opposed to the commercial large apartment type buildings. It feels more like a house setting. Nice pool and patio with tables/chairs and chaise lounges behind privacy fence with palm trees and plantings. The staff was very nice and even gave me a kitchen upgrade at no cost. They have BBQ grills and a washer dryer available for use. Parking out front.
- 3/5
La Casa Del Mar is a lovely place with a peaceful enclosed garden and very friendly people. The location was perfect -- one minute walk from the beach. I would definitely return. One item to note: no breakfast is served, but there is a kitchenette in the room and many dining options around.
- 4/5
This charming little guesthouse was perfect for my solo trip to Lauderdale earlier this month. Located a short block from the beach and ensconced between two large chain hotels (only notable because their amenities include a Starbucks and a spa), I found La Casa del Mar to be a quiet spot in the middle of all the action. I chose my room purposely on the smaller side, as I didn't need much in the way of square footage or amenities, and I still had a comfortable bed, space for my gear, a decent-sized bathroom, and a tiny kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave. Don't expect fixtures and amenities of a luxury corporate hotel - this is an older establishment; part of the charm. Lou and his staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating - I requested extra blankets for my room, as the temperatures the week I stayed were chilly, and not only did I receive the blankets, but housekeeping also provided a portable heater for my space (which I did in fact use!) The seating around the private pool is comfortable, and again, although this guesthouse is in the middle of the tourist area, it was quiet and felt very intimate. I'll definitely stay again on my next trip to FLL!
- 3/5
Outdoor pool area attractive with nice landscape. Furniture broken and in need of repair, borderline shabby. Deal breaker for return was acoustics between rooms and noisy window a.c. units. Very nice and helpful staff. Second floor units preferable from what I could see.
- 4/5
Great access to the beach, restaurants and far enough from A1A so noise was less. Pool was great when the wind became a sand blast at the shoreline. Parking was great and staff very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again especially in the cold months like January.
- 5/5
When we agreed to come to a wedding where the reception was at the W we did not know how close we were. We were just a block away it was perfect.
- 4/5
Very clean, utilitarian and within a block of the beach! Cute garden and comfortable area around pool.
- 4/5
Only downside was housekeeping...they didnt clean the floors or the bathrooms. They just brought in fresh towels.
- 5/5
The best
- 4/5
This Villa that we stayed in was a 2 bedroom with fully stocked kitchen just outside of the pool. This made eating healthy very easy. Grounds were super with lush plants and outdoor seating. Private entrance making our stay very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
What a find! Half a block to the beach (beach towels and chairs provided) and a couple of blocks to the water taxi. Just park your car (for free) and take an easy walk to many great restaurants and shops! The efficiency room was clean and comfortable- ours overlooked the pool through mature tropical plants and trees. A little oasis amidst towering hotels and condominiums, with all the same amenities but without the hustle and bustle or pretense. No on-site dining, but had a kitchenette with stovetop, refrigerator, sink - included cooking and dinnerware. Couldn? Have asked for a better experience!
- 3/5
Shower head was broken which made it difficult to shower. Reported it the next morning but was never repaired. There is not dining option so I just rated it as expected
- 4/5
it was awesome. This is a gem. it's right by the beach and it's comfortable and plenty of places nearby to shop and eat. only issue that we didnt know about is that it's very limited on parking. other than that we would go back
- 5/5
This place will be "our spot" from here on out. There is no reason to spend more $ just to stay at a big chain hotel! It is in walking distance to the beach and ALL of the shops/bars/restaurants along A1A (the beachfront). Rooms were clean; grounds were clean, quiet, & beautiful! It has a very "at home" atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Very cute quite place. Landscaping was beautiful and pool was relaxing not a lot of kids when we stayed which was nice. Short walk to beach. Would for sure stay there again.
- 4/5
me and my wife had a great time. the room was a little small but the place was clean and the people was very nice. the location was great and close to everything. we will definitely go back again.
- 5/5
The grounds were beautiful, the staff helpful and it was quiet too, which we appreciated. Our room was a little cramped. Will try for a bigger room next time. Overall would stay there again. Great location!
- 1/5
So much was wrong here. We arrived at the guest house around 9PM that evening. The room was dirty and at least 2 decades outdated but could not check out since there was non manage on duty. When we decided to leave the next AM the manager was rude and confrontational. We indicated that we would be leaving because of the sub part quality of this accommodation and requested that the difference between our deposit and this one night stay be returned to us. The manager refused and we have since been handling through our credit card company. This is an awful place.
- 5/5
The rooms are small but there was a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The landscaping and plantings were outstanding. There was a small outside pool that was well maintained.
- 4/5
nice and helpful staff, very clean room, great location, liked beach chairs always available, only complaint was loud window airconditioner but worked great
- 4/5
We really loved the architecture, gardens, and friendliness of the staff and other guests. It was super convenient to walk to the beach and to great restaurants. Uber rides were also very plentiful and useful for getting around a little further. I would definitely stay again and look forward to in the future.
- 4/5
This was this was the best place for a great relaxing private get away. Wish I could actually live in such a setting. Every person was wonderful. The quaint ambience and structure gave way to the wonderful past of family memories. I had the best room possible and it was to be to assist with healing from a grief hard to let go. It brought back a time of genuine peace, love, and graciousness. The lovely situation was close to the beach, walking distance to all needed. The weather was perfect everyday. It was wonderful. So happy I was able to participate in their hospitality. Just remembering make me so relaxed and grateful. They need to take away the onsite dining review. The kitchenette was perfect for need eating accommodations. You could get food from the sea walk area and bring it back to eat. They do not have onsite dining and it would take away from the actual ambience of the experience.
- 5/5
All in walking distance - beach and nightlife. Internet connection is not too great.
- 3/5
Service was great but room was very small. Bathroom not that clean there was urine in the toilet when we first arrived. Than when I thought there would be a kitchenette which I thought included a stove I was informed it only includes microwave and fridge. Besides that the location was great steps away from the beach.
- 4/5
This is a great spot to stay in Fort Lauderdale. You are only a 1 minute walk to the beach. The motel offers beach towels and chairs. Unfortunately, they do not have any umbrellas. They said people kept taking them and not returning them. The room we had was one of the smaller rooms. But we had a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and cook top. We were not in the room much, so it was perfect for our little get away. You are very close to restaurants in the area. Beach Place is a 5 minute walk. There is a mall you can walk to as well in under 30 minutes. The price for the room was very reasonable. Keep in mind, this is not a traditional Bed and Breakfast. This is more of a motel. The staff was very friendly and our stay was enjoyable. We would definitely book here again.
- 4/5
Little getaway from northern cold. Enjoyed the sun and protection from the winds off the ocean. All personal flexible to visitor needs.
- 4/5
However, be aware this is an older building, looks to have been condos at one stage in its life, would estimate building to be from the late 60's. Air conditioning is an older window unit and there is a large ceiling fan which did keep the room comfortable, but the unit was louder than I would prefer. There are no restaurant/bar or even vending machines available that I could find. Admittedly I was there on business, out early and in late so I did not ask. Bathroom was small, no counter space with a pedestal sink. Bathtub was clearly old and shower small, but water was hot and at the ready. Hey the price point for this hotel speaks to the amenities you should be expecting. But if you're in Fort Lauderdale to enjoy the Beach, the Hotel Pools and the local shops and restaurants, and are looking for a nice quiet place to crash each evening, then this is a perfect hang out at a bargain price.
- 4/5
Staff was easily reached for supplies Good location Old town feel but spotless
- 4/5
We stayed 6 nights! Garden is just beautiful around hotel! If you looking for good restaurants around Casablanca is number one!!!
- 4/5
Relaxing quite stay, very nice hotel. Nice place to stay in the secluded garden and small pool grounds.
- 2/5
The bathroom was incredibly small. There was no maid service.
- 5/5
Great stay! Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Awesome hidden gem. Friendly, relaxed astomphere.
- 4/5
Only one tiny complaint, no happy medium when first getting in the shower, either too cold or too hot, once it ran for a while the hot side regulated
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
This hotel needs a complete make over. It is old, unkempt, unclean. The photos do not represent the condition well. The office staff is very nice and the location is nice too--that is about all I have positive to say about the hotel. I felt it was misrepresented on the hotel websites.
- 4/5
nice hotel close to the beach, restaurants and stores
- 1/5
Staff are accommodating and pleasant but they can only do so much with what they have to work with. Beds squeak and headboards bang against the walls, TV needs 1 remote to change channels and 1 to run volume, bathroom was the size of a match box, no room for toiletries except on the side of the bathtub, knees do not fit in front of toilet when sitting, shower changes temp from warm to cold and back again as your shower is being taken. wicker furniture is chipped, doors are uneven and do not close... do I need to continue???
- 3/5
Also bloomin noisy fridge in the room....the plastic and polystyrene cups are naff
- 5/5
Great place very relaxing and secluded old style Florida feel highly recommend it
- 4/5
Room was older like what you would find at a New England Beach resort . The floor was tile and dirty , bed was ok and the furnishings were in good shape.
- 5/5
Beautiful gardens and pool area just a short walk to the sandy beach. Also bars and restaurants locally. Kitchen facilities as described.
- 2/5
There were chairs right outside the room that had ashtrays available for people to smoke at, and the smell of cigarette smoke was noticeable in the room a few times. The location was the best part, only a block from the beach, and the grounds were actually fairly nicely kept up (though it would have been nice if the pool had been heated or if there had been a hot tub...).
- 3/5
We liked the feel of this quiet enclave, nestled in next to the big expensive places, which are across A1A from the beach. We made many meals in the room w/kitchenette, and enjoyed the pool, rooftop, and beach options. It's not fancy, but well looked after, and it is well situated for getting around town. Charming!
- 4/5
Reasonably priced alternative in a high priced neighborhood. Tricky to get in through the gate at first, but very helpful after that. Property shows some age and wear, but they take care of it. There were ants, but this is Florida... bugs are everywhere. Wi fi worked well.
- 3/5
It's in a good location about a block to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and quick to respond to any request. The price was reasonable in comparison to the more modern hotels near by. The bed slept so good I wanted to take it home with me. There were plenty of toiletries provided and the walk in shower was very nice. However, being a very old hotel there wasn't enough space for us to spread out our own toiletries since the bathroom is very small. There was an ironing board but no iron. Also, most hotels today provide a continental breakfast but this one is too small for that. But we would stay there again in spite of a few things it lacked.
- 5/5
We simply could not have asked for a better setting to start our mini vacation. The hotel was near perfect as were the owners. Thank you for our stay.
- 4/5
Close to beach, restaurants, nightlife and parks. Beach towels and chairs available.
- 3/5
ok place for a short stay near the beach. No breakfast, but things are nearby to grab a bite. Room 2 did have a problem with flies getting into the room. Would kill a dozen or so and more would find their way in to the room.
- 5/5
Hotel was in great location in Fort Lauderdale North Beach area. One block from ocean and several very good restaurants only a few blocks away. Just a few blocks from water taxi. Fun tour on water taxi of multi million dollar homes and yachts. Can get on and off water taxi at different locations. CVS store only a few blocks away for food and liquor Older hotel, but kept up very nicely. Well landscaped and maintained grounds give you a feeling of privacy. Very friendly and helpful staff and had coupons for discounts on a couple of things we did. Would stay there again. Stayed here prior to going on cruise and about a 12 minute taxi ride to cruise terminal.
- 3/5
We enjoyed our stay at La Casa del Mar. The location is terrific-quiet, convenient to the beach and restaurants. Our room was tidy but somewhat sparsely furnished and appliances were dated. We thought the weekend staff could have been a bit friendlier and welcoming.
- 3/5
nice courtyard/pool area with lush greenery. Some pool furniture needs replacing, torn/thread bare cushions and deteriorating chairs. Bath was remodeled with large shower, but remodel was done one the cheap. The door blinds had broken /missing slats that hung at about a 25* angle. They left the rusted out bath window with painter tape sealing it in a nicely remodeled bath. Shower drain cover had screws sticking about 1/4-1/2 inch, so had to be careful not to rip your feet up.The room was clean and repainted, but had exposed wiring in closet from light fixture to provided power somewhere else. All these little things, in my opinion, shows cost cutting measures on the remodel. It cost just a little bit more to do it right. Could hear the guests upstairs walking around. Wifi connection was almost nonexistent in room, but great in the courtyard. We were there for a business appointment and to visit friends, so spent minimal time in the room. Hotel was ok for this, but wouldn't opt for our room (small, no kitchenette) for long stay.
- 4/5
This hotel is more like a villa. Lush, comfortable, parking, and close to the beach.
- 4/5
great place to stay over new years and convenient to sun life stadium, staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
third time staying here-2 blocks from the ocean.Nice employees and beautiful place.towels and beach chairs provided. free parking. Its in a very busy area but seems quiet and secluded. price isn't bad for the beach area.
- 5/5
Geraldo upgraded my room to a big 900 sq foot apt - amazing! My friend I was meeting canceled on me at the last minute - I got treated like royalty & got such an amazing room - apartment - with so much privacy & so close to the beach. I love this hotel & how wonderful the customer service was!I am telling all my friends how great this hotel is!!
- 5/5
A very nice small hotel with lovely pool area ideal for a short break. Our family room had all the comforts of home.
- 3/5
We stayed 3 nights after our cruise. Everything was ok. Free carpark, clean and comfortable room. The air conditioning was a bit disturbing. We might consider staying at La Casa del Mar another time.
- 4/5
Perfect getaway. No hassles. Close to the action.
- 5/5
I got to my room, and it was just as the photos on the website shows. Clean, good bathroom, and the hvac worked fine. It is a 2 minute walk from the beach and it has its own pool which is nice too. If you want a place that is quiet and you have privacy this is the best.
- 4/5
Amazing!!!!! Close to the beach.
- 5/5
Quaint, quiet, one block (5 minute walk) from beach. Loaner beach chairs provided. the grounds are like the Garden of Eden. Quiet space for restoring the soul!
- 5/5
From the moment we walked into the office to register, we were treated like family by the staff. They were more than kind. We were fortunate in having the hotel mostly to ourselves, but the grounds were exceptionally well manicured and absolutely beautiful! At one point my wife, who had a headache wanted to buy a soda from the machine, but only had a $20 bill. The gentleman behind the desk gave her two dollars to get a soda from his pocket. I have never been in a hotel that would do this. The room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The building is old, but well-maintained and well upgraded. Of course, it is not in "brand-new" shape, but the renovations and upgrading have been done very well and created an absolutely welcoming environment. We will be back, and we will bring friends with us. I almost hate to give this great review, although this hotel more than deserves it, because we are afraid more people will discover this place.
- 4/5
Nice cozy secluded hotel but minutes only from the beach, restaurants and bars
- 5/5
We were in town for the busy Tortuga Music Festival weekend - all area hotels were at capacity. La Casa Del Mar is so quaint that we didn't know that anyone was there besides us! Beautiful spot right off the main drag, within walking distance to beach and restaurants. Office staff very friendly and accommodating. Our room (#8) was very nicely decorated and clean-- plenty of room for 2 couples. Pool area was relaxing and beautifully landscaped. Will definitely go back to La Casa!!
- 5/5
First trip to Ft Laderdale. Great location, very nice and well maintained rooms, grounds and pool area. Very friendly and accommodating management and staff.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and a Great Hotel. Quiet and confortable not like th big chains.....
