Reviews
The hotel staff is generally praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, the cleanliness and condition of the rooms are major concerns, with multiple reports of dirt, stains, hair, and even insects. The lack of basic amenities like soap, shampoo, and utensils is also a common complaint.

Comfortable beds. Nice gym. Microwave and fridge with stove top. Good location. Free coffee in the morning. Not bad value. Housekeeping is not existent. Have to get your trash and go to the dumpster to dump your trash. If you put your trash outside your door for pickup, the front desk will come knocking on your door to keep the trash inside your room. I asked for Housekeeping and was told there is only one housekeeper. How is that my fault? Hire more staff. The tv remote never works so missed watching the NBA playoffs. If you need to stay more than a couple of days, expect to rough it.

Smoke filled rooms with stale smoke. Dirty hallways and for the expensive price not even a continental breakfast.

After driving 11 hours straight, I really didn't need the indifferent desk clerk. The room they assigned me was okay, a bit worn looking, and the carpet seemed dingy. Also, the hotel guests who smoked, did so on the sidewalk in front, and the smoke smell came in the intake of the air conditioner. Breakfast was good, and I was surprised that the coffee was excellent. I've stayed at this property multiple times, and this, by far, wasn't the best visit. The front desk person needed some more customer service training, and the hotel definitely needs an overhaul.

Comfortable beds, spacious room, kitchen sink and stovetop were nice. Hangers for clothes and enough drawers. No breakfast and no housekeeping. I stayed for 2 weeks. After the first week I called the front desk and asked if they would dump my trash. They basically said do it yourself. Housekeeping is a big zero!

It was it a nice area, the staff were kind and helpful , clean for the most part. Would've liked more than one pillow per person, the bathtub was dirty where the tub plug wouldn't even go in the way it should've. No coffee pot in the room, no ice machine , no kind of breakfast at all,
- 3/5
The location worked really well for me. The women who work there were absolutely wonderful. The bathroom is big enough to be comfortable. The amount of pillows is not acceptable. The lighting in the room is poorly designed and lacks adjustability. The TV set up is just plain bad. The chairs in the room are substandard. Lack of cleaning daily in the room is bad. The towels (number and lack of service) is well below acceptable and standard.
- 2/5
Reasonable rates and a friendly staff It was super cold outside and there was minimal blankets on the bed, the heat wouldn’t turn on properly and there was no cable. Definitely not worth a $90
- 5/5
The staff was always accommodating. The room was perfect and just what I needed. I ended staying for 3 more days because others couldn't offer the same service I was looking for

I was extremely surprised and very disappointed about everything regarding this hotel. There were a lot of people who appeared to be homeless staying at this location. Terrible smell in the hallways that smelled like food. The hotel was old and run down. The bedspread and sheets were very old and stained. There were a lot of people that constantly hung directly outside of The exits in the front and in the back. There were a lot of animals in this hotel. The people who were renting seemed suspect and possibly in recovery . I was informed the night before there was an incident that involved the police and a person who had a warrant out for their arrest. I will never say at this location again!

Very friendly front desk. Great value as well.

We did not stay, but left immediately. The place looked very iffy, but we still went to the front desk. There, they told us that the pet fee was $200 per night, no refunds if no damage. If this fee was on their website, it was hidden very well. All I saw was "pet friendly" which it was not. Our dog is 5 lbs and stays crated.
- 4/5
The water does not get hot and the cleaning staff doesn’t come to change towels of face clothes we had to go and get them ourselves other then that the stay was ok
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable rooms at a great price. Stayed here one night on a hiking trip. Location was good and the hotel met all my needs. Got a great night's sleep.
- 4/5
The only thing I can say is that room 229 the front door doesn't Lock very good. And I stop feeling safe. But it's a wonderful stay other than that
- 5/5
Front desk having trouble with key cards not working but were incredibly kind and patient. Nothing but smiles and kindness. Loved the room and the area.
- 5/5
What an awesome experience, the hotel was easy to find, check in was smooth and the room was very clean and satisfactory. I had a very important meeting the next day but forgot my charger, the front desk clerk Ms. Kee-Kee was awesome, she not only gave great customer service but ensured that all would be well and went out her way to help get my phone charged for the next day. She also recommended a great restaurant. It was an awesome experience; I have stayed at many hotels, and no one has ever been so kind to make you feel welcomed. I most definitely will stay there again upon my return.
- 5/5
Nice enough place on the inside I just wanted to shout out the woman working behind the desk you know I was kind of struggling attempting to go to rehab today and I was just honest with her and I you know just had a normal interaction with her and I was so refreshing honestly. It's those types of hospitable moments that make me.

It was so bad there were people doing weird stuff and there were so many bedbugs. NAVER STAY HERE
- 1/5
When we first arrived, the room that we were checked into had a bunch of roaches. The carpet was disgusting, and the room was very dusty. The front desk was helpful and got us another room. That was a little better. We still found a couple bugs towards the end of our stay. The beds were super uncomfortable, and they did not have extra pillows. There was no Cleaning service and you had to bring down your own towels at the end of each day to get new towels. The area seemed very unsafe, and there was a lot of sketchy people hanging around the building. Pretty sure people are using it as their homes and staying there long-term. It was very noisy at night, especially in the hallways. We heard fights Late at night, I definitely felt safe at sometimes. The toilet was broken And the air conditioner was very loud. The hotel also reeked of Cigarette smoke and marijuana. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying there.

A very nice functioning facility on the inside. Very weedy and unkept on the outside. First impression of landscape not good. Thankfully the inside was very functionable and nice!

I had a device hanging from the stove blow up in my face and had to call 911 then to be told that I had to exit there location cause it’s believed I tampered with the device we were only in the room for 2 min tops from just getting the key then to top it all off they didn’t give me wallet back I left with all my cards and money I will be filing a law suit but trust me this was the worst possible check in and 4 min stay I’ve ever had
- 2/5
My stay was okay but the hotel had no coffee maker nor tea kettle or pot to warm up water. The bed sheets looked and felt unclean. I found cockroaches in the bathroom.
- 1/5
Looks nice in the photos, but in reality, it was terrible. Front desk was seldom open, there was a sometimes working coffee maker in the main lobby where I found a young woman sleeping on a couch in the morning. No amenities of any kind, had to purchase a hair dryer from a nearby Walgreens and the only place to eat was a Roy Rogers next door. Don't waste your money on this one!
- 4/5
Bathroom had stains on the wall that seemed like blood or poop. Black finger prints behind toilet. And a stain in toilet, like poop that hasn't been scrubbed from previous person.
- 4/5
The room and hotel were basic. Lobby and hallway reeked of pot. The room has no bath mat nor any tissues to blow my nose. No hand towels either. Kitchen sink drain drains slowly. TV cable choices are minimal.

I booked this hotel last minute on Expedia as I was travelling in the area for work and fun. The hotel manager allowed me to check in early so I have access to the room right away. The facility is well maintained and the room has all the good basics I need. Good value for what I paid. The area is only 10 minutes walk to a strip mall and it's a safe environment to walk to get some basics. The bedding can be a little more thick for more comfort, but I am not complaining. Will come again next time I am in town.

This was the most uncomfortable hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. It all began with an overpowering smell of marijuana and a lady walking her dog down the hall with no leash. We were exhausted so we got to the room and as soon as we pulled back the sheets, there was blood on them. The front desk was kind enough to get us a different room but in that we found hair all over the bed. We called the front desk again just to ask for new sheets. We were so tired and I was willing to make the bed with new sheets just to get some rest. We pulled back the sheets and the mattress cover looked like it had been soaked in pee and sweat for many years as it was very yellow. At this point, I was so disgusted I just wanted to leave. So we grabbed our stuff and told the front desk to just refund our money. I wish I would have read all of the reviews before booking this hotel because it would have saved us a lot of hassle. The gentleman at the front desk was super kind and understanding, it just unfortunately doesn’t make up for the bad hotel. Heed the warnings in these reviews and just choose a different hotel.
- 2/5
It was more like staying in a college dorm rather than a hotel. People coming & going at all hours. Talking loudly or just plain shouting in the halls. The TV came on, but just had a black screen. The shower in the morning, while it couldn’t be called ice cold, could not be called warm either. And it sounded like the room upstairs decided to rearrange the furniture at 4:00 a.m. There were other issues, but I’ve mentioned enough problems to make my point
- 4/5
Place was fine though.
- 1/5
Rude staff filthy
- 5/5
Everything was fine
- 5/5
Staff was great. People don't pickup the poop after their dogs. Staff tries to confront customers about the situation..

The only reason why our stayed wasn’t bad is thanks the customer service representative at the hotel who went out of her way to help us and upgraded our room. The first room had a strong smell to Chinese food and the bed had hair in it, we were upgraded to a double bed room which didn’t have a trash can, didn’t have a night lamp. The tv wasn’t a smart tv so we couldn’t connect our cell phone to watch a movie or YouTube. The room is old and hasn’t been renovated for while, the bathtub had the lid broken. There wasn’t a trash bin in the bathroom either. I will never came back. I rather pay 30-30 more and go to a better hotel.
- 1/5
The hotel has roaches. You were given toddler sized towels for showers. No handsoap in the bathrooms and no hand towels. Burn marks around the sink. Spackle around the shower. There was space to hang clothes but no hangers. People reside here. The staff was pleasant but the accomadations are subpar. I would not recommend this place.
- 4/5
And overall it was an OK experience
- 4/5
The room was very nice, but no soap was provided. Good fitness center
- 2/5
Walk through the first set of doors and it reeked of marijuana, then my non-smoking room (I've never smoked in my life, and sensitive to the smell) smelled of stale cigarettes, so disgusting it was difficult to sleep at night. The room itself was spartan, furnished like a college dorm room in the '70s. Don't recommend staying here, at any price.
- 3/5
The inside was great but i didnt realize there would be nothing in the room like a hotel. No coffee pot. That was my fault for booking an extended stay room. The outside however was a complete mess.
- 1/5
Rooms we’re filthy, sink was clogged, toilet wouldn’t flush…need I say more….
- 1/5
I slept with my clothes on and felt creeped out the whole night. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
- 1/5
I will never stay at this hotel, ever again! It was beyond words horrible. I would ask for my money back, but I know that won't happen. It was like checking into prison. I had to be buzzed in, which is understandable as I arrived past 10pm. The lobby was barely there and the clerk was behind glass partition. She said nothing to me, let alone greeting me even with a smile. When I got to the room - cement block walls, with potmark holes all over the place, and drop-down ceiling. The bed didn't even have a foundation, it only had metal very narrow legs which showed, garingly, under the mattress. The bathroom was barely a sink and was filthy. I wouldn't let my dog or worst enemy stay at this hotel and I've warned everyone I know not to book this horror of a hotel. Shame on Hotels.com to even list it and do that to their customers. I was so frightened and appalled at the condition of this place, I slept in my clothes, on top of the bedspread(?), didn't take a shower, barely washed up at the sink, and left ahead of schedule, glad to get out of there, be safe and not find any bugs on me...so far
- 3/5
Staff is very welcoming. However, the towels were dirty with stains. The bed sheets were not clean as well, there were hair on the the bed which didn’t belong to me or my spouse. I’ve stay in many hotels but the cleanliness of the room especially things that touches people skin should have been first priority to make sure they are clean as possible. I would not recommend for that reasons.
- 1/5
We checked in and 2 mins later checked out. It smelled of marijuana and dogs were barking. The room had peeling paint on the walls and the manger had an attitude.
- 2/5
Room was OK to stay one night to be close by an event. Took at least 20 mins to get checked in due to no one working the front desk. First floor smelled like a dog kennel, everywhere else, straight marijuana. Kids unattended running hallways and screaming, adults walking around openly smoking cigarettes. Room was relatively clean but no soap/shampoo.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly Would definitely stay here again - price was great too
- 2/5
Room seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned. There was an old uno card on the dresser crumpled up. The soap they give you in the bathroom was resting on the sink with no wrapper on it. One of the towels I used to fry myself with reeked of cigarette smoke. The neighbors in two different rooms were yelling and what sounded like some sort of domestic disagreement. Definitely will not stay at this location again.
- 3/5
They don’t clean rooms ever
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 4/5
I like the full size refrigerator and stove top eyes. I did not like the elevator being broken for a week
- 4/5
Elevator broken and the key machine was broken. Had to follow the desk attendant to my room where she then had to find a master key to let me into the room. The room was clean and suited me fine (I didn't expect much), but a dresser drawer was on the floor.
- 5/5
N/A
- 4/5
What was unique about the property is that it had a full kitchen where you could cook your own food.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. Television was on when we opened the room door but there was no remote in the room.I just unplugged the Television and went right to bed as I checked in at 12:05 am after driving 13 hours and 900 miles. I needed rest not television. Nice room and very clean. Water pressure excellent. A little dated but worth ever bit that I paid. I would stay again and think you should consider. I did let them know at checkout there was no remote and I had to unplug the television.
- 4/5
Nice staff, accessible room
- 1/5
It was horrid. Toilet had cigarette ashes and butts in it. The woman when o told her offered another room but didn’t seem phased by this discovery. No discount offered nothing. Wouldn’t go back here if you paid me to.
- 5/5
The agent that checked us in was very polite. Stay was uneventful and coffee in the lobby was appreciated.
- 2/5
I didn't like that the office was always closed and you had to dial a phone to get someone to help you and the bed was hard as a rock it will take a week for my back to recover
- 3/5
It’s was mediocre. Bed was kind of uncomfortable and hard. The walls were worn and not very clean. The A/C worked great. It was a weird vibe of the hotel and it seemed rather sketchy most of the time and not the safest.
- 1/5
Paper thin walls, could hear tv on front side, back side and every movement above me. Barely got any sleep all week. Phones don't work to call front desk. Bed looked like the sheets weren't cleaned and someone was hanging out in my room when I came in since the tv was blaring. No ice machine, soda machines empty, felt like I couldn't go anywhere after 11 in case card doesn't work since there is no front desk service. Strangely enough had a decent workout machine and cable tv was good. Not able to control fans for room cooling so I couldn't even drown out the noise.
- 1/5
couldn’t check in at 2 am with my three kids, when we finally got in a woman was asleep behind the desk, it was dirty, broken furniture, shower water didn’t get hot. i was booked for a 3 night stay and only stayed one. still trying to get my money back for the two nights i didn’t stay on their property!!!! would not recommend
- 1/5
Could not get into property because office closed at 11 pm
- 5/5
The whole building unfortunately smelled like cigarette smoke. Stayed only 1 night and the snitched stuck to my bags/suitcase.
- 1/5
No good everything
- 1/5
Very dirty inside the room, nasty hallways and around the property. Will never go back
- 3/5
Overall room was nice bed was uncomfortable. Shower was the best accommodations were well
- 2/5
Hotel was very sketchy with people coming and going at all hours of the night. The front desk lady looked and acted as if she was high when checking us in. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there and the lady wasn’t even at the front desk for check in. The hallways had a very foul odor all throughout the hotel.
- 5/5
Decent stay
- 1/5
Was advertised as nonsmoking hotel and was definitely not. Very noisy, no in room phone or lamps. No front desk attendant after 11:30pm. Ants in kitchen area.
- 1/5
I personally don't recommend this place to anyone! I understand it is on the lower cost of the hotel spectrum, but it was like living in a condemned building and partons were smoking weed in the hallway. My experience was terrible!
- 1/5
The property smells like urine in the rooms. They have people who stay with pets for years at a time. The place is extremely unsanitary, people outside smoking weed and drinking. I have stayed in several WoodSpring Suites and this one has been disappointing to say the least. If the management would have the carpets clean and update the rooms with the location it would be a great place to stay.
- 2/5
This is a bare bones hotel. The bathroom was in poor condition-plaster falling off in spots and unpainted. Towels were grey and worn. No little extras like lotions, shampoos, second set of towels, notepad. There were odd smells throughout. No list of nearby restaurants. The front desk staff was not friendly.
- 1/5
My room had feces on the bottom of the toilet sear. They don’t provide shampoo or lotion. They didn’t even have plastic cups to use to rinse your mouth out after brushing your teeth. If you want clean towels, you had to take your dirty towels down to front desk to exchange for clean ones. They had a coffee machine in the lobby. I tried to use it but the automatic machine had no coffee grounds so just hot water came out. No ice machine My TV remote didn’t work. This place is a disaster. Low class! Dirty! Stripped down, no amenities at all. Don’t waste your money
- 3/5
When we initially arrived, we were at the front desk waiting to be assisted for about 8 minutes. The front desk receptionist saw us walk into the building because she was taking a smoke break outside. We had to walk to the service phone and dial 500 to get her attention. After she realized we had been waiting at the desk, she proceeds to check us in. As she's checking us in, the housekeeping team is not even done cleaning the room. Keep in mind we are checking at 430ish, the receptionist had us waiting an additional 30 minuets because they hadn't finished cleaning the room. So we had to come back at 5pm instead to get fully checked in. When we finally got into our room. There was trash left under the sink from the previous guests. Additionally, we wanted to use the microwave but couldn't because that was filthy and had a smell. There was a hole in the bathroom door. I did alert the front desk receptionist about the condition of the room upon checking out. I have stayed at this hotel several times and times before this stay has been wonderful but this time is by far the worst stay. This is my go to place to stay when I come to this area, but I will have to go somewhere else.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was good, especially for having a mini-kitchen in the room. Although being good, we were charged more than was confirmed in the email at booking time.
- 2/5
This is a utilitarian property without such things as shampoo and hairdryers. It was a very basic room. The check-in staff was out when we arrived at 2:15 with a sign saying, "Be back at 2:00." The common areas needed vacuuming and attention, but the room was clean. It's obvious why it was so inexpensive.
- 2/5
The hotel has potential, the guest that frequent are questionable, it really wasn’t family friendly, seemed more like a shelter. The hallways reek of smoke mainly MJ although it’s a non smoking hotel and the plumbing is awful. My bathroom flooded my entire room and they refused to give me another room and offered me the lobby bathroom , that was awful and unkept , after asking for a refund they gave me a hard time about that and agreed to give me some of my money back . I have yet to receive my refund for the days I didn’t stay.
- 1/5
I have been to Texas and stay at a Woodspring suites this passed fall and I am convince that both locations were short staff and the laundry was dirty. Frederick location ran out wash cloths and bath towels becasue of being dirty and staff shortage and no clean laundry. Had problem with no heat and the pillows need to be trash!! Very disappointed and would walk out for a refund...
- 2/5
Stayed here 2 years ago and it was a pretty good experience as I recall, however it has gone way downhill. The first room we were given smelled strongly like cigarette smoke. We asked to switched rooms and we were given no apology or explanation, though they did immediately accommodate us. Our second room was fine in terms of cleanliness and smell. However, given that we chose to stay here to potentially cook, we were disappointed that there were no pots, pans, utensils, dishes--nothing. Not even dish soap at the kitchenette sink. I'm sure we could've asked for them (we sw no signage telling us that they were available so we're just guessing here) but to quickly reheat leftovers or something it seemed like an unnecessary inconvenience when you have nothing to eat off of or serve yourself, and nothing to clean up with. The toilet seat was holding on by its last leg and uncomfortable to sit on. We utilized the fridge and the bed was not particularly uncomfortable, good enough for one night. There are some positives: it was mostly quiet, the location is very convenient, and it's pet friendly. It was fairly cheap but it felt like for a few dollars more we could have stayed elsewhere and had a better experience. We stayed here specifically for proximity to the apartments next door where our friend lives but unless you need this exact location, I'd suggest staying elsewhere.

My mother-in-law stayed here while visiting us for Christmas. She said that the room could not be cleaner and the bed more comfortable. The staff was friendly and the location was quiet. She will definitely be staying here again on future trips.

Wouldn’t recommend at all. Went with my fiancé and our kids the first room we were in was dirty noisy and missing a dresser drawer. The person under us was banging on the walls complaining about noise when we would walk or speak in our room. We checked in late our first night and needed another pillow I was told No and i could get it at 7am. The second night we moved rooms and it was a little cleaner and quieter on the 4th floor but still missing a dresser drawer. Also lots of drugs/drug use in the hotel. There were needle caps in the stairwell and crushed up pills and whole pills on the ground. Super dangerous for anyone with kids or pets. They also have a place for needle disposal in the bathroom on the first floor. I was shocked. I don’t typically write bad reviews or complain but my entire family could not wait until check out. It was a nightmare.

Too many constant problems; tv had to be re-set, didn't work during rain, toilet clogged (t. paper too thick) bathroom sink water backed up, chairs uncomfortable. No place to sit comfortably. Ran iut of toilet paper, it was on order...had to ask for soap, shampoo...Hand sanitizers at elevator empty. Front desk, Danielle, saved the day. She got me a coffeemaker to use. Very good customer service skills.
