Very Excellent Hotel clean and spacious, food was great .The staff were exceptionally pleasant and friendly . Best stay in town .

Oh and the parking was $5 per night which was not mentioned in descriptions. However, the front staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us warm chocolate chip cookies whenever we asked. So thank you!!

I had a great experience with Double Tree Hilton Washington. The property is well maintained, swimming pool was a treat and he staff was helpful. It helped to have a restaurant in the hotel although selection was poor. The only problem was not having a fridge in the room, and there wasn't an ice machine on the 7th floor. I will come back because of the pros and location.

No breakfast was provided, when making a reservation I chose the hotels which had breakfast included. Very disappointed.

When asked about the Hilton bags to include water I was told it would be in the room if I was a member. When I arrived in the room there was no water available for honors members in room. The initial room assigned was infested with ants. As they crawled on the beds, up the walls, doors , and counters. The laundry dryer took money and did not work. The front desk took a long time to answers calls for assistance. Overall very poorly maintained and staff did not appear happy to assist.

Enjoyed my overnight stay. Good for a quick dip in the pool, dinner and a good nights sleep. The location was busy with activities but that wasn’t a problem for me staying solo.

The hotel was OK. There was a little wear and tear in the bathroom, like peeling paint on the ceiling. We think this is, in part, due to there being no ventilation in the bathroom so it gets really steamer after a shower. It was also tricky to keep the room at a comfortable climate; it was either freezing or stuffy and hot. Finally, the staff was SUPER loud in the middle of the afternoon (loudly calling to each other down the hall), and we were trying to nap our toddler. Suffice it to say, he was not able to nap with the yelling.

Everything was great the only issue hotel has too many events on 1st floor/lobby the was dozens of people coming in and out who could go up too since you don't need key for elevators.. I counted 5 events in 2 days what also left me w limited parking

Has an upscale look and very comfortable and quiet rooms. Staff were very friendly. Some sites and reviews say they have a free shuttle to the Shady Grove metro but I found out at check in that they haven't had that since Covid. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to the metro.

The noise at this hotel is terrible. There were screaming kids running the halls all night and staff did nothing about it. There was also a party happening in the event area that we could hear the loud music from. Someone also pulled a fire alarm at midnight on a floor above us. It was total chaos that led to zero sleep.

Front desk staff were friendly. Ample parking. Decent continental breakfast. Nice onsite bar and restaurant. For a hotel this quality, in room amenities were limited. Although a minor issue, there was very little body wash for all the room occupants. Lightning was very poor. Although breakfast was included in the room cost the hotel staff gave me a check and insisted I sign it.

Staff does wonderful job keeping hotel clean and organized. I left my raincoat in the room closet and they found it for me and held it for a family member to pickup for me.

Outdoor pool was not open yet of course but the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were great.

The stay was awesome. I did wake up coughing. Hopefully the pillows are not down. Beds pillows on the harder side. I like them soft. But, overall great stay!

Very nice and super comfortable stay, although I was taken aback by the lack of breakfast items, and the options for dinner. The rooms don’t have microwaves so we had to go to the lobby to reheat meals and there was only one microwave available for the entire building. It was very clean but the bathroom sinks were absolutely disgusting to me. But overall it was still a pleasant stay.

The room and everything associated including check-in and check-out were impeccable....but there were some issues with the property that really impacted my stay. The first of these was the fact that the WiFi was out two days and flaky the third....I was there for business and this really caused me some issues to the point that i ended up going to a nearby hotel and using theirs. The second thing was two of the three elevators were down, yes they called someone out to work on them and got them fixed but having a hotel with probably 400 rooms funnel through one small elevator especially since there were several high school college teams there so lots of young people....only one elevator. Otherwise the location is actually great...plenty of parking, easy to find...can get across I-270 leaving back way from parking lot instead of dropping into traffick

Had a fantastic stay at DoubleTree in Gaithersburg. Front desk was welcoming and the warm cookie at check-in was a nice touch. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Plenty of parking and easy access to shops and restaurants. Staff was attentive and helpful throughout the stay. I would book here again soon.

This is a surprisingly nice hotel and an excellent value for the money. The hotel is definitely older but has been remodeled, so it's nice and competitively priced. I needed a pet friendly place and they were very accepting of my dog (there is a very reasonable pet fee) without any hassles.

It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the suite had two toilets which was a major plus. The indoor pool room was freezing. The water was warm but the room is way too cold, we asked if the temperature could be turned up a little but, it remained cold. Indoor pool rooms are usually warmer than that.

The hotel and staff were serviceable, but the building needs an upgrade. I took a shower at 11 a.m., only to find no hot water. The shower was barely lukewarm. On one queen-sized bed, the sheets were torn and had a few stains. The little details matter.

Staff is very good at this hotel. Hotel is located at a very central location and very easy to get to the main interstates (i270) as well. Metro station is a 10 minute drive away.

Spent the day waking all around in D.C. and was exhausted when checking in (Gaithersburg is on our drive back home). The desk clerk was great, even offering warm chocolate chip cookies to soothe us. The room, elevators, halls, and lobby were absolutely spotless. Was originally planning on finding a place for dinner, but was so tired we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. FANTASTIC food and service from the staff! We will most certaibnly be back on our next trip to D.C.!

Loved the layout in the room and the fact there was a smart tv is amazing! Stephen was great on being able to update and check on the stay. The room size was incredible and loved the privacy on the room along with room size. Thanks for the fact signed up for Hilton honor I also received a cookie which I truly appreciated. Parking was great as plenty of space and not too much of a hassle to get back to room. The area was incredible as well since close to a lot of food options and shopping! Would definitely return for another stay!!

I kept debating on the Holiday Inn or the DoubleTree.. I am very happy that I decided to go with DoubleTree. The hotel is beautiful. Honestly upset that we only had one night to spend there. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.

The fair was going on across the street so traffic was hectic that evening. We were lucky to have a room facing the other side or the noise would’ve been hard to handle. Overall it was a good visit and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Very impressed!!

The bathroom was not clean nor sanitary, there was debris and hair on the bathtub I called the front desk in the morning to have it cleaned before taking a shower. No one was sent. Loud noise late into the night 2 or 3 am from guests partying in the outdoor lounge area…the noise woke me up multiple times. Three stars because it was easy to book, but there’s a $50 extra fee you’ll be charged upon arrival without a receipt. Won’t stay here again. Easy check in and check out.

There were random hairs in the bathroom. Both my wife and I have short hair. The random hairs were about 12 inches long. The staff were nice and helpful, especially with a busy weekend with the Montgomery County Ag Fair across the street, and other events held at the hotel.

We stayed here on August 8th. The property is beautiful and very close to the Montgomery County fairgrounds, which is where our event was. The king bedroom that we had was beautiful and spacious. Little touches like the bedside stand for our carry on to sit on and outlets with charging ports on BOTH sides of the bed made things so nice. The bed and king pillows were super comfy. There were some loud cars nearby, but once I turned on the noise machine, it didn't bother us. There are 3 elevators. And everything was clean. The only negative thing was that the shower had very little water pressure. It had a changeable head, but none of the settings allowed much pressure. It took a long time to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. I will definitely stay here again.

I did not like the fact that breakfast was not included. I have never stayed anywhere and not able to have breakfast on the house. Also, the breakfast we only ate one day and thats because the breakfast was not appetizing. Not good at all.

Our room was extremely dirty — it looked as if it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in years. The windows were so grimy that someone had drawn a sad face into the dirt, a clear sign of long-term neglect. The furniture was dated and dusty, and both the bed and floor had remnants of what looked like pet hair. It was deeply unpleasant. The room was also extremely dark with only two dim lights. To make matters worse, only one of the three elevators was working during our stay. The wait times were excessive, so we resorted to taking the stairs most of the time. On the one occasion we used the elevator, it reeked of a terrible odor. Given the condition of the room and the lack of basic maintenance, I cannot recommend this hotel. There are surely better alternatives in the area that offer a cleaner and more comfortable stay.

Wasn’t in the room long before I moved due to soiled sheet's. The curtains look like the came from the Bates Motel. Staff was good but ownership needs to put in more money for renovations. Sooner than they are. Staff was good though.

I always thought Hilton was better than Holiday Inn. Not in this town. Only got 1 towel, need 2 one for hair. I thought there was a jacuzzi, there was not. Kids took over all pool areas,it was crazy. No pressure in shower. Won't be back.

The rooms felt damp. Did not have a restaurant. The fruits, etc for sale is a good idea and priced reasonably.

We have stayed a few times. The hotel is immaculate and the restaurant is delicious. We always get the flat bread. We unfortunately had a room overlooking the pool and while a soccer tournament was also staying, it was pretty loud with music blastmg and unfortunately the guests didnt respect the pool closing time until we called. Seems to go with the traveling territory now that many parents do not instill respect for others in their children.

For the price you should at least have a microwave in the room and give a free breakfast (basic). The rooms are very clean that is the only plus.

Timothy and his staff were excellent. Very attentive they never stopped working keeping the hotel and all its surroundings nice and clean and well stocked. I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years traveling with my kids for sporting events and I’ve never been at one that has had their staff this active to keep everything running smoothly.

Odd layout. Front desk didn’t even tell me the room number, just threw the cards on the counter and said elevator is to the right. Had to ask what floor and room number because I had all my bags. Main elevator doesn’t bring you to the floor to access the room though. You have to go all the way down the hall to an old single elevator. Police cookout in the hotel parking lot Sunday night until after 11 pm right outside our window wasn’t helpful either

This is my second time using this hotel , the first time the put me on the 1st floor which was horrible and A/C was making a terrible noise I went to the from desk and they sent a maintenance person he couldn’t fix it , the relocated me and my daughter to a different room 9 floor which was beautiful.. when I make second reservation I requested to be on floor 7th or 9th I called reservation desk and they ask me to call back on Friday which I did they told my that I was on 3rd floor , I thought it was fine but I didn’t know was on the 3 label hotel horrible , this hotel has on part of high rise room and the other side is just 3 floor rooms which is not to nice dirty and old elevator.also my room 339 curtain were all torn down .. I feel since I’m booking the reservation with third party ( Expedia) they put you worse rooms .. I’m very disappointed don’t think I will come back there with my daughter..

The hotel itself looked fantastic until we got into our room. One of the door hinges was completely bent, a handle to the closet door was dangling, the shampoo/conditioner bottles weren't even on the wall they just sat on the tub floor), we had half a roll of toilet paper and no extras, an empty tissue box, crumbs on the floor when we arrived. We booked this hotel specifically because we were traveling with kids and wanted to enjoy the pool but when we got there found out the pool was closed - we were told it was posted on the hotel website but upon checking we did not see it posted anywhere that the pool was closed. Not the stay we wanted after traveling...

Would have been 5 stars for every area had my shower been working after my first night and if housekeeping had cleaned my room before 2pm when I came back to the room and had to call the front desk.

Rooms were clean and modern. Hotel location was easy to access from major highways and there were numerous dining options available within minutes.

The first room we were assigned was dusty and the outlets didn’t work. We requested a new room and the front desk person was extremely apologetic. He gave us two days worth of breakfast for free at the restaurant ($18x 5 people x 2 days). The second room was also dusty but not as bad. The shower was clean. The beds were fine. Lots of pillows. The mini fridge is not cold. It was fine for drinks but I wouldn’t use it for food. They must have been adding decor because by the elevator were about 6 boxes and all the trash that goes with it, laying on the floor. The hallway carpets to the rooms were not vacuumed. We passed the same peanuts in the floor all three days. The pool didn’t have towels on their shelves the two days we went to it. When I asked the front desk they quickly gave us bath towels to use and asked housekeeping to come down to restock the towels. The pool is heated but the room it is in does not appear to have heat so it was freezing. The bar was great with a variety of options. The restaurant breakfast was great, too. The food was hot and the server was efficient. She was managing the entire space. When we went that was 6 tables of people. It is buffet style. The parking lot had plenty of space and the hotel has easy access to shops and food and major highways. I’m assuming it’s off season and they are operating with skeleton crew?

This second room also seemed generally unclean with bits of hair on the bed and bathroom area. We also booked a balcony room... But it was covered in bird droppings and grime.

Beautiful facility, well designed, well maintained. Onsite facilities were excellent, but no offsite shopping or dining or entertainment within walking distance of the hotel.

First off the staff greeted everyone at the door. They were so friendly and knowledgeable. I need to stay an extra night and they got it done quick and easy and I got to stay in the same room. Rooms were clean beds with soft. It definitely be staying again.

We chose Doubletree because the Airbnb's in the area were too expensive and I've never had a negative experience at a Doubletree. This was no exception and Timothy, who checked us in, was the cherry on top! He was so welcoming and charming. If we're back in the area, we'd definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Heater was a bit loud but the rest of the hotel was quiet. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. They had a pretty decent breakfast buffet. My only issue was with the bathroom door, which was a sliding door rather than a hinged door. This offers very little privacy in the bathroom but seems to be the trend with every Hilton hotel now.

Staff are the best. Just wish there were more electric socket that work for all our phone, tablet and fitbit chargers. Those on the headboards are usually loose. Otherwise, this hotel is a family favorite.

Other suggestions could be improving Lighting options in the room...kind of dark with all lights on. Also including the breakfast in the rate could be an extra perk that could enhance the package price.

I got charged 20 dollars for a shot of tequila. A bottle of tequila at the grocery store is 20 dollars :/
