The staff here was absolutely the best I've encountered in years! They were kind and so helpful ! I cannot find enough nice things to day about them: from the front desk ladies and the breakfast server to the room attendants every single person was super nice. The room had some things that need attention : the door lock/ handle was concerning and didn't stay in position, the baseboards were removed and not painted over or replaced, and the microwave was in disarray when I opened it to use it. But overall, we would honestly stay here again because of the warm welcome we received from the hotel staff.
- 1/5
Location was pretty decent. Thats the only likeable thing about this place. Absolutely a horrible value for the money spent. 300 bucks for one night while under full construction/renovation, parking lot was small and an absolute nightmare, the beds looked like they had been slept in several times already and they just pulled the blanket over. Paint over spray all over the floors, bed, and headboard. Even the mini fridge and microwave looked old rusty and musty. Bathroom handle fell off when I went to close the door, screws on the floor. ALL the furniture was very minimal and outdated. Wifi didnt work and the staff did not care. They just said it was broken.

I liked that it was walking distance from the beach. The staff was nice. Ice machine and refrigerator was broken. The A/C wasn’t cold like it was supposed to. I reported it but maintenance never came.

Remodeling. Trash everywhere and was not being cleaned up. Pool was disgusting. It was dirty. The information on cruise parking was misleading. The room was clean but that was all. The breakfast did not have milk available for cereal or drinking. The choices of food was very limited.
- 5/5
It’s always a great place to stay.
- 1/5
The only thing to like was that the third floor had been redone so the inside of the room was nice looking. Most of the property is run down, there was not really any hot water to shower with(it was luke warm at best), they had no blankets to go with the fold out sofa, the breakfast was not good at all and had sub par choices. Our key card wouldn’t even let us in our room so multiple times we had to go down and get a new one.

Absolutely nothing. We were put in an unfinished remodel room. Paint splattered on doors, no baseboards, just stings hanging where baseboards were. No electrical covers on switches, and extremely rude girl at front desk. Will not be booking at this location again ?

The hotel is old and outdated but it’s also being renovated. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. This hotel is the only hotel that offers oversized parking which we needed for our semi truck so for that reason I would stay there again.

Check in was slow. The room wasn’t clean or properly stocked with towels and things. Hotel was noisy. Unexpected $50 charge upon check in.
- 1/5
Property was under renovation which was not disclosed. It was dirty from drywall dust and smelled. Kelly at the front desk was apologetic and showed us 5 other rooms before we were willing to accept one for the night. Our booking was for 3 nights. We stayed 1 night. It was stressful. Travelers should know in advance about renovations. Under the circumstances we should be refunded 2 nights. No management expected on site for 3 days! Anyone with bad allergies or health issues beware!
- 1/5
Hotel needs a good update. Don’t spend your money here. Beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. Paid $294 to stay at a hotel that wasn’t comfortable at all & was told the hot tub worked. Jets worked water was freezing.

The breakfast was fresh and really good nice bar setup and staff was very friendly and happy to help. The only downfall was the cleanliness of the room.
- 5/5
Parking very limited with cruisers coming and going
- 1/5
Rooms were absolutely disgusting! Bugs in bathroom, and around couch! Stains all over the carpet/lamp/couch/bedding, disgusting! We had other family staying in different rooms and they were all disgusting! Doesn’t seem like staff care at all to clean! Will not stay here again. Prices are way higher then some places around the same area and definitely cleaner.
- 1/5
Gave us 2 dirty rooms before offering to attempt to clean the first room again for us. Hair, urine, dirty bathroom mirrors, dead bugs and the smell was horrible. Garbage all over the floor. Tried to charge us $30 one way to the cruise port per person when an Uber cost $26 total. The entire hotel is run down. The charge was astronomical for what they offer.
- 5/5
The desk was great help when our plans changed bc of weather. They went out of their way to help and the stay was clean and comfortable. We also had great view of the ocean. A+ rating!

The stuff here is amazing so nice an helpful. Clean room nice pool an hot tub great brealfast we well differently stay here again

Clerk as very helpful
- 2/5
At breakfast, the front desk receptionist appeared extremely overworked. She was managing the front desk, restocking the breakfast area, and assisting guests all at once, which made the experience feel understaffed and unorganized. For a hotel in a high-traffic tourist area, especially one serving guests traveling to the cruise port, this is unacceptable. Additionally, the parking fees were disappointing. The room was already overpriced, and having to pay such a high amount just to park while cruising felt unreasonable. If lower-budget hotels can offer better rates and functioning amenities, a brand of this caliber should certainly be able to do better.
- 1/5
The floor was filthy. My feet turned black if I didn’t have socks on. And I saw a roach. I won’t stay there again.
- 3/5
The room was fine. It is definitely an older hotel and could use some TLC. The "breakfast buffet" was ok at best. not much but bread and pastries which we could not eat (gluten intolerant). There were eggs and what looked like thin sliced lunch meat style canadian bacon. The ice machine was broken and there was a roach crawling in the hall. Not really worth the money.

1. Don’t expect to wash your clothes .unless you bring your own quarters . They have a washer/dryer that I called prior ensuring they had one .But they didn’t mention they won’t provide quarters for it. This was a crucial piece of our trip planning for a family of five . They don’t have a way to pay with card either . NO ONE and I mean no one will give you quarters on the island . We then had to spend several hours , of our 3 day trip, find quarters and going to a laundry mat that was like 15 min a way and is the closest one . The lady who owns it is insane and will literally integrate you about your cloths and then stand over you as you wash your cloths to ensure you use the quarters for the washing machine . 2. Don’t expect fresh towels . I attempted to exchange my towels and then was only told they didn’t have any to give us back . 3. Smell and cleanliness of the place is not very good. I felt disgusting the whole time . Location is the only perk of this place .
- 5/5
Staff here is awesome. Gloria took care of my group of 12 like a pro, Kekee was awesome as well. All very friendly. Room could use some tlc but overall awesome.
- 5/5
Floyd was great in getting us checked in and settled. He scheduled the cruise shuttle which is very convenient to and from the terminal. We will definitely be booking here for our next trip
- 1/5
Elevator broke; Water was turned off for a while. When we arrived there were no towels, Kleenex,or soap in the room. The room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed the next day the breakfast was out of eggs and yogurt. The breakfast was overall terrible the whole time of our stay.
- 3/5
Breakfast was disgusting
- 1/5
One of in the group was seriously injured and needed 8 stitches from the faulty door.
- 5/5
Good for an overnight stay!
- 4/5
It was a good stay but they need to work on the parking situation. There were not enough spaces for everyone, and people were parking in the fire line and it was difficult to get in and out safely.
- 5/5
Everything seems fine to me. I liked the amenities and especially the price.
- 3/5
Not enough parking spots for guests so we had to park in a fire lane. Our room smelled like mildew and there were some dead bugs near the bed and in the bathroom. The bathroom shelves and towels were dusty; the carpet had stains, the furniture was scratched up and stained; also noticed makeup on one of the comforters. For $166-$177 for a night, I was hoping things would be cleaner and updated, but overall the room served its purpose and felt safe.
- 3/5
The curtains were sheer and the blackout curtains didn’t cover the entire window, which is concerning especially on the ground level. Natural light is fine but I would’ve hated to be woken up at any ungodly hour by headlights shining in the room. There’s also not enough parking and several guests were staying the night before a cruise and I’m sure their cars were just left there while they’re gone for x amount of days so I’m sure parking gets worse. They assured us we could park in the fire lane and not get towed but as someone who takes my own safety very seriously and respects the fire department, this made me uncomfortable and unsafe.
- 4/5
We have stayed here plenty of times. Customer service is awesome! My only complaint is for the owners. It is time for them to spend some money on upgrading, painting, and new furniture. I have noticed that the property is in a decline. I do enjoy staying here but if they don't maintenance soon its not gonna be nice to stay in anymore.
- 5/5
"The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming once you come in. Rooms clean. Nice viewing to the sea.
- 5/5
Not a far walk from the ocean.
- 5/5
The shower curtain was zip tied up, there was a weird bug that was extra crunchy that I smooched it. My room key had to be reactivated about every 3 times of use. The outside door next to my room was never locked.
- 2/5
Staff was rude, all shifts. Place was dirty. I had to take the sheet of the bed because there was something dried and crusty on it. Was too scared to even ask for clean sheets because of how they treated us after only asking for extra towels.
- 5/5
It was comfortable and the front desk lady was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and I love that it was just mins away from the pier so we could fish.
- 3/5
The rooms and facilities could use a deep cleaning. It was evident that they only surface clean inside and outside. Time to invest a little money to restore some of the old and worn furniture. The bedding was clean and the beds comfortable.
- 3/5
Everything was mediocre. Our room had a few dead cockroaches in it. We had to throw them away.
- 1/5
I hate to give terrible reviews, but unfortunately the hotel was in poor condition. There were bugs, our room was dirty, and we had issues with the plumbing.
- 1/5
Overall terrible experience. Very unclean place. Beds, floor, walls, bathroom the curtain has a poop stain on it. The pool was disgusting with cigarette butts and trash floating in it.
- 3/5
There where roaches in the room , it was smelly and dirty

First we checked in and front desk let me know about the Fourth of July events and was correct… the second day we asked for clean towels cause we was at beach and found the bed had blood on sheets and curtains… we did not look at mattress cause we would have been more upset. So we asked for room to be cleaned and changed out the sheets… we left to go to waterpark which we was gone most of the day we get back nothing has been done… we asked for clean towels sheets and comforter, the same lady that offered the city attractilons gave us the sheets and other items… when we went to breakfast after the uncleanliness we got three granola bars and afterwards the manager came and got the rest of the granola bars and put them away like we got too much to eat. But we was there for three days and that was all we had but it’s a complimentary breakfast… Also bed had a piece of bar hanging out from it and we kept hitting it and bruising our legs. So the second night my spouse woke up to bite on her and found out it was bed bugs in the bed… So you can imagine the frustration we were in but we could not leave cause of busy weekend and we couldn’t even change rooms… Upon checking out and leaving there was two vehicles that had their window busted and vehicles vandalized…

It was a terrible stay the rooms i booked wasn't available they lied about everything the staff was very rude and ghetto i will never bring my family here again
- 5/5
Quick registration and check out. Clean. Offered 2 beds plus sofa for family of 5, so no need to book another room.
- 4/5
They are in the middle of a renovation maybe?? Lots of brick missing on outside, lots of people working. They parked the comfort inn van in one of only a few handicap parking spots for over a day. They ran out of coffee and food in the breakfast area with no one to be found to replenish. On a bright note, it's very quiet.
- 5/5
Great service, polite staff, and clean room! Thank you
- 4/5
We all have our different perspectives but our overall stay it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good as well! Right near the beach was a plus for our kids and us visit for the few days we were there and the also the pool! After the beach we enjoyed my outdoor fun relaxing in the pool.
- 4/5
Everything was good except was another people staying there on the pool drnking and having glass bottles making to much mess and start smoking weed there i have to go look for frnot desk lady to do something about it, i was with my wife and kids there, was so disrespectful, i just left the pool area, dont know if the front lady do something about it.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. They advertised a bar but we were there 3 nights and it was never open. Room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast bar lacked attention and wasn't the best.
- 1/5
Furniture was broken and had hair all over the bed
- 1/5
Torn carpet. Furniture so filthy we wouldn't sit. Holes in the wall. Dresser no handles to open drawer. Shower handle loose. Shower head loose. Lobby bathroom dirty and no paper towels or toilet paper. Reading light near bed didn't work. Carpet so dirty had to wear shoes to the bathroom. No coffee in am. No yogurt. Dirty breakfast area. Wouldn't eat. Shuttle van parked so no exit. Would never consider staying here again.
- 5/5
Excellent front desk and ladies that clean the rooms. Everyone is extremely nice s d helpful.
- 3/5
The walls seemed very thin and not at all soundproof. The family on the other side of the wall had small children and 2-3 adults. They were not being overly loud but every word said echoed through the wall. We had driven all day and were exhausted. They were asked to quiet down when we called but I felt bad calling front desk because they were only talking and playing. Were told nothing g else could be done.
- 5/5
It was a nice stay. large comfortable room with a balcony and nice view. We took their van to the cruise port. Paid $40 round-trip per person. It was easy and cheaper than parking at the port. The driver was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again for sure!
- 4/5
nice place to stay at getting away from Houston
- 3/5
Standard property. Back from seawall. Across from movie theater. Limited parking. Shuttle to port.

Customer Service at front Desk, was Great
- 3/5
There was a main water leak when we arrived but all went well..
- 3/5
Rough neighborhood.
- 2/5
Where to start…First the parking was terrible. The people who were going on a cruise got good parking. The rest of us who were staying at the hotel had to park in a field behind the motel. Grass field no lights in the back of the motel. The second morning the clerk freaked out because we walked in with our service dogs. When I checked in the previous day I told that clerk and everything was fine. So now she on the phone with her manager in a panic. Finally got that straightened out. This motel also advertised a bar. It was never open. Breakfast gets picked up at 8:45. Snooze you lose. The morning we were leaving it was storming. The window in our room was leaking really bad. I put a towel on the window seal to try to help but it was soaked in just a second. Glad we were leaving. I won’t stay here again. As for the service dogs. Employees need to be trained on what they can and cannot do, and what the protocol is. I cannot recommend this motel.
- 4/5
I choose this hotel because of location. It was clean and close to the beach. I drove to eat not far. I did have 2 complaint the door didnt lock smoothly and the breakfast bar was not open at 5:30am. I would go back cause of the staff. They are really nice.
- 3/5
Run down. Needs updating. Its close to beach.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and they kept our car during our cruise if you used their shuttle service👍
- 5/5
Big huge rooms. Purs was clean and pretty and looked right pit at the ocean ... fyi...room210 lol
- 2/5
Breakfast was cold and the bathroom was really gross with mold around the tub where they just tried to caulk over the top of it with the WORST caulk job I’ve ever seen. The tv in our room didn’t work and the vending machine took my kids money… But the staff was friendly at check in and our beds were clean and comfortable enough.
- 1/5
Upon check in we discovered bugs under the mattress, a soiled mattress with no mattress protector over it and remnants of bugs Marius and under bed pillows, dirty environment with a bug in the bathtub also. Room was not pleasant smelling. Building outside needs work, materials from upkeep left lying around.
- 3/5
The parking wasn’t so good but the manager made it easy to switch hotels when I requested.
- 3/5
The shower faucet not secured to the structure. The hideabed couch was rusty and very uncomfortable. The cushions were torn and stained.
- 4/5
Hotel was comfortable and quite. They need a toliet paper holder and rubber matt in the tub automatically and not ask for it.
- 4/5
Stayed one night from March 14-15: I booked for myself and four kids, we were boarding a cruise the next day. I called a day before and asked about early check in, and was told it’s a $35 fee to check in early, most hotel just allows it without any fees, but I should’ve checked before booking. When we arrived, the same lady checked us in, and was very nice. The room was still being cleaned, when we got to the room, the housekeeper was really nice. The room itself was spacious, we had an issue with the sink not draining and maintenance came within an hour or so. That evening I called for linen for the couch, after calling and being hung up on multiple times, I went downstairs. The lady wasn’t so nice, and was playing on her phone, and someone who work there was on the desk phone. I asked for linen and a pillow and was told i cannot get a pillow ( even though i booked for five people). I did not pull out the couch, i just slept on it as is, with linen over it. The carpet was dirty, but for one night it wasn’t terrible. Walmart is down the street, the beach and the carnival area as well. The cruise terminal is 15 mins away, and breakfast was okay. There was as sign that said do not take food to your room, which was weird, but there’s much better option right down the street. I wouldn’t book here again.
- 5/5
It was convenient to walk to and from the beach
- 1/5
We had to wait to check in due to the credit card machines qwre not working. The building is remodeled/repaired. Lots of dust and dirt. Once we got to the room, it was dirty, the sheets were dirty and the mattresses were stain. When we complained, they put us in a different room. The new room didn’t have blankets or comforters on the beds. We had to request bedding. The staff stated that the pools were operational, but the gate didn’t work properly. We stayed the night because we couldn't find another hotel available. The second room also had issues. The microwave had food in it and there was hair left in the bathrub. I would not recommend staying here.
- 1/5
Park in the mud
- 3/5
The hotel clerk at the front deals was friendly and professional. Upon entering our room, we noticed sticky glass rings on the nightstands, the front entrance floor was sticky, the toilet had poopy paper that had not been flushed, the commode had not been cleaned, the sink and facet had toothpaste droplets everywhere.
- 5/5
Looks like the hotel is still repairing from the hurricane, but had no problems with my room. Appreciate the parking and shuttle service to the cruise port
- 4/5
Good deal for cruise travel with free parking during your cruise if you book a room and their shuttle ($50 roundtrip pp).
- 1/5
Toilet full of feces. Phone in room didn’t work/ poor overall condition. Staff was disrespectful regarding need to clean room due to dirty toilet when we arrived. Asked for discount, as room we were put in as maintenance never showed up balcony door wouldn’t open and phone in room didn’t work.
- 2/5
Very dirty and noisy hotel. Our sheets were wrinkled and smelled, not sure the bed was even changed from previous guest. Smelled terrible and will not be coming back.
- 3/5
They are trying to fix it up Im sure it will be really nice when they are done.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Shuttle driver very courteous
- 5/5
Gloria, what can i say other than she is amazing. She checked me in that night and went over the top with everything. She was amazing. I didnt expect to see her the next morning when catching the suttle. But she is a very amazing employee.
- 4/5
Walking distance to beach
- 3/5
Very limited parking, staff told me to park next to building, which is a fire zone, not sure if i'll get towed, but there are 5 other cars there too
- 2/5
For the amount of money we paid to stay for two nights I would’ve expected more. Rooms weren’t clean, had bugs and wallpaper peeling off the bathroom walls, balcony had cigarette butts left all over.
- 1/5
This place is absolutely disgusting even if they charge $20 a night it’s not worth it. There were roaches everywhere.
- 1/5
When we asked for compensation for the room, we were told we"d only get the early check-in fee since we booked with a third party and to contact them. The hotel ended up moving us to another room and initially said that they would provide shuttle service with no additional charge but did not do so, only the room change. Overall, it was not good at first but we accepted the new room because of the working toilet and we didn’t have any other options of leaving the hotel with our family.
- 1/5
We drive around the building and ZERO parking available. Front desk said to park illegally at the movie theatre. Parked the car, unload bags and hike across the street to the hotel. I have my cash for the shuttle ready ($25/ person, so $75). I was then informed that she made a mistake and there are no shuttles unless I split my kids up and 1 of us goes separately. Umm NO! I'm traveling with 2 children!! I go back, told that her manager cannot offer anything but 8am shuttle. I said, nevermind, I arranged a ride, just need my free parking if there's a spot in the morning. Then, I'm told I need to pay $85 for parking!! I'm not even in the lot yet!!! I'm still across the street at the theatre (illegally parked). So, it's only "free parking" if you pay $25/ person for the shuttle, or $85 for parking! I start pulling back the sheets on my daughter's bed when I see hair, debris, stains, holes and rips in the sheets, but, what really got me was seeing BLOOD!!! I was floored!! Got set up in another room. OK, fine. Opened our new rooms door... greeted with a case of smirnoff, men's wallet, duffel bag and personal belongings all over! Thank God no one was in there when we opened the door!!! We then get put in another room to only find more hair and stains on the sheets! I'm sooooo upset and tired at this point that I ask to just get me clean blankets
- 5/5
The place was clean the staff was friendly
- 5/5
great value with free cruise parking!
- 3/5
I did not like that the price had doubled since last visit in April
- 2/5
the tv remote didn't work, someone fixed it, not working again in morning, didn't want to call someone in while my mother was sleeping. No towels upon arrival, after 2 hours of waiting, I went down & made a 2nd request balcony had dozens of cigarette butts in the corners piled up, light on ceiling above microwave did not work
- 2/5
Black Mold in the room and everything was wet/slick like some kind of non drying polish was used. it was still wet in the morning the next day.
- 1/5
Absolutely horrible. Will never stay again. Avoid this hotel. It was disgusting. Found wrappers everywhere. Looked like puke on refrigerator called and they said rust but magically it was cleaner when they came up to see it. The bar never opened and there was obvious mold everywhere
- 2/5
We really enjoyed the staff, but had issues with our room being properly cleaned. Bed linen was reused from the previous occupants and had various stains. We requested new bed linen. Staff was very helpful with this, but unfortunately, new bed linen was also stained. Someone was also smoking near our room even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. It was not a “Comfort”able stay.
- 1/5
Room and bathroom NOT clean! Cockroach came out of the bathtub water spout upon turning water on! Cockroach on floor while eating breakfast in the lobby in the morning! Breakfast was limited and cold! Night attendant did not know how to register for next morning cruise terminal transfers! NEVER AGAIN!,

Nice place

it was dirty, damp and very dated. the staff were great but i feel conned.
- 1/5
We called ahead of time to inquire how the hotel was affected by Beryl. Hotel staff was not honest with us and said the property was not damaged and was functioning normally. That was not the case at all. There was significant structural damage and flooding and the pool and hot tub were not functional during our entire stay. TV service was in and out. There was no lounge service. Breakfast offerings were scant. Internet service was abysmal. It smelled like mold.
- 1/5
Front desk clerk was extremely pleasant, but the hotel smelled of mold. Room was old and dingy. Website pictures were deceiving. The toilet had not been cleaned in the first room we received. Hotel staff was accommodating and switched our room. In the second room, the sleeper sofa mattress was ripped and stained. Carpets had red paint (???) stains. This hotel needs a complete renovation.

Great stay before our cruise!! Breakfast was great. Room was clean.

Not so good. Tv wasnt working, sofa bed was dirty. Only 1 roll paper for 5 people. Fridge. Smelled funny. And the biggest thing. I booked my stay for 2 nights. And the second day they'd checked us out for no reason, even when i had already daid for 2. Not a place i would go back to. Breakfast was supposed to be from 630am to 930am. My kids head down around 9am to get breakfast and they had put all food away. So we had no breakfast.

The room was dirty when we arrived, trash in the trash can, blood/feces on the wall in the bathroom, bed linens were dirty and covered in hair, bug crawling on bed linens, previous guests clothing and trash left in room. Breakfast was served from 6am-9am, by 7am it was either gone or cold and unedible. Housekeepers left our room door open while we were not in the hotel, housekeepers were very unprofessional, front desk cleck was made to reclean our room

We stayed there the night before our cruise. I loved having the convenience of the shuttle to and from the ship. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Had a great stay. Didn’t like how the pool/hot tub was only open from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Was a bummer. Breakfast was not good so I recommend going out.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had would not stay here again, or recommend it to anyone, the dirtiest room I’ve even seen had to make them come clean it where they more than once would put in sheets and take them off because they were dirty. Pee left on toilet from previous people not vacuumed, dirty sheets, half use shampoo bottle, the list goes on and on.

Very poor condition. Check-in was at three on paper, room was not clean yet. Had to wait till a little after four to get in the room.

I would not recommend to any one/or family to come here. Staff would ignore us when first checking in had to physically look for a desk clerk, room was filthy had used sheets and had damage to the room already, also had missing towels so when I want to ask the over night clerk she did not want to give any extra towels, even though I explained how we received the room in bad condition half way clean with one set of towels when it should have 2/3 sets for 4 people staying in a room.

Hotel entrance is nice, and breakfast area as expected/ okay. Very dated property. Filty balcony. Dirty spots on walls. Crumbs or something on sofa bed when opened, and sheet appeared to be dirty (stained). There was not 1 single drying towel or roll of toilet paper in our room. When later found that there was no toilet paper and called the front desk, I was asked to come get it from the front desk.

Everything was nice.

It was convenient for our purpose of birding locations in W Galveston area. However, my room had an odor, the floor was dirty, trash bits on the carpet, and the staff did not properly clean it even after I specifically requested they do so.

Looks to be remodeled within last few years. For a hotel in a beach town, it was not bad. Very thins walls though especially with rooms that have a connecting door to an another room. I could not only hear the person in the other room talk on the phone, I could hear the other person on speaker phone. Luckily there were no late night noises from my neighbor. You can hear every footstep though on the room above you.

We liked that it wasn't a huge hotel. 3 floors so not alot of competition for elevators or seating for breakfast. Very good breakfast the woman attending to the breakfast was kind and attentive to everyone. Give her a bonus.

Staff at check-in could have been friendlier.
