Tara greeted us with a big smile and was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy with her & she gave us all the information we needed. She was great! Kitchen staff in the morning was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice & I liked the little hall closet that could be accessed from both sides. The firepit was on and I enjoyed that! TOILETS ARE FOR SHORT, SHORT, SHORT People!!! My stars! I am 5'5" & the toilet was all of 15" from the ground. I feel sorry for a tall person as their knees would be under their chin!! I also wish they had a few rooms with balconies, like the Courtyard had.

The property was well maintained, the breakfast was good, and the pool was very nice. The breakfast area and patio area were small and had too much furniture to navigate around, the pool side bar was not open even though it was advertised to be open mid May, and the dog park area was not mowed.

The property was nice and close enough to the race venue for the 5k. Right across the road is the water but it is not very beachy in that location….a short 1/4 mile walk gets you to the beach so take a cart to carry beach items. Dog friendly but the area roped off for taking the dogs for a potty break had a lot of burrs so my dog did not want to walk on them….he ended up doing his business in the rocky area instead. One staff member could not direct us to the dog area….one of the elevators goes down to a parking level where there is access…I guess she was new. Because of the race on checkout day, the staff was accommodating and allowed 30 min extra for checkout, but I thought as an Elite member I had an option for 1 hr later checkout. Would stay again for the convenience.

The hotel is under construction, they did not inform us through email or text that it is under construction. When we arrived in Texas after driving 23 hours from Canada the front desk woman informed me that they didn’t have a room with the specifications I booked for us because of the construction, and that they could put us in two rooms instead, something I wasn’t very comfortable with as this meant my two teenagers would have to be in a room alone in a foreign country. The desk woman was not apologetic and only worked to get the two rooms on the same floor after I pressed the issue. During our stay the construction noise was quite loud during the day and there were small things like the air conditioner not working and the glass shower door refusing to stay closed. The hotel is clean and it will be nice after the construction but I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and service provided.

The room had a defective non-working TV and a non-working phone. Everything is falling apart and no one cares. Worst front desk staff I ever ran into.

Room was clean. Staff was nice. Ceiling on the 3rd floor had a large leak. 3 trash cans to catch the water. Fire alarm went off 3 times starting at 3:30am until 4am.

The Hotel was comfortable, nice with a friendly,helpful staff. The location was inconvenient, far away from activities or choice of dinning. The main road was very busy, not noisy however making it difficult to cross the road at times. The best part of this hotel is the sea wall blvd. Breathtaking views , you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the wall.

Although the location was farther from downtown than we would've liked, it was just across from the beach.

Let me say the room was very nice however i feel like the staff doesnt care much i was not asked abt my stay upon check out. Housekeeping trued to come into clean the room on the day of check out 2 times staring as early as 8:30 a.m. they DO NOT HAVE ADEQUATE PARKING to susupport the location we had to struggle to finally find a spot on night one and on night 2 there was no spots. We were directed to park under th carport at the courtyard property at the front. they had people also parked in the fire lanes leading back to the Townplace suites which was very disturbing had there been a fire or other emergency a firetruck or ambulance would have been unable to acess the location. Also this last complaint is that in order ot access certain sevices you have to be part of their rewards program.

The hotel seems new. They were slow to check people in. I think they were short staffed in regard to house keeping. Plumbing sounds of the toilet in the adjacent room kept me up part of the night. I think the tank leaked and had to refill itself about once per minute.

It looked new and clean and updated. The bed was comfy. The suite was nice. The sleeper sofa is NOT a sleepable solution for anyone to sleep on, no matter the age. Either change that or don’t offer it as an option. Breakfast was AWFUL.

I felt that the stay did not offer good value for the price. I paid nearly $400 per night, but the breakfast experience was disappointing. With over 50 guests and only one waffle maker available, it was difficult to enjoy a proper breakfast, and we ended up eating elsewhere. I hope the management can improve this aspect for future guests.

There was no breakfast provided. Despite the fact the hotel was booked with Breakfast included. WiFi - was not working. When I complained to front desk he said WiFi is on and he is able to use it. But we were unable to use it.

We booked this hotel expecting breakfast in the morning, but were told breakfast was cancelled due to being a holiday. I have never heard of a hotel canceling breakfast due to a holiday

Parking easy and they don't charge extra for parking on-site. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options although minimal for gluten free. The only true negative is they offer only double beds (full-size), not queen or king. These beds are just too small for a married couple unless you practically want to sleep on top of each other.

Bed was great. Had a full refrigerator in the room and stove top. Didn’t use, but great addition. Quiet and clean.

We had only a desk chair in our room. Not comfortable at all. Had to ask for another chair. The cleanser/spray used in our room was a sickly terrible smell. The bed was too high. We had an accessible room and it was difficult for me to get into that bed with my mobility issues.

Not wheat I expected to the price. Room was cheap looking, drawers were left open, annd drawer Handel was drastically bent. Air conditioner was loud and rattled. Breakfast was typical for free hotel breakfast s.

The location of the property was very convenient for walking to the beach. It was also close to a lot of the local restaurants and other activities. I do not recommend this place if you like to relax in bed and watch TV before going to sleep at night. The TV is very glitchy and even when trying to stream an app, the internet is incredibly slow and paused every 2 minutes. It overall was decent for the price

It was close to the beach area. We were able to get out and walk alongside the beach.

I had a party of 2 adults and 2 teens but the two adults needed separate rooms, so this 2 room plus pull out couch for the teens sounded perfect! The pull out couch is like a block of hard plastic on the floor. Definitely not acceptable to sleep on over a night . I felt bad asking g the kids to sleep on it. Iff you don’t need to utilize the pull out couch great, but that was not a good sleep 6 situation. Also a bit pricey if you take tfat in to consideration.

Love the full kitchen and the restaurant by the pool.

They hotel have kitchen some basic utensil are the plus. Location is convenient, 5-10 mins from the rainforest cafe. The room smell old at first, after couple hours of running Ac it went back to normal or maybe i will get used to it. Its behind courtyard marriott and they shared the pool. The breakfast is very basic and small area compare to Holliday inns or home to suit its complimentary so i wont complain. Would i come back? Yes

The grounds were well maintained and had a nice area for walking dogs. The toilet was low like a squatty potty, haha. The room was just fine in size and amenity but it had a leaking air conditioner that gave the room a dank smell. Also a wall sconce had been bent off the wall. Even though the hotel was pretty filled, there was never problems with hearing people in the hallway or adjoining rooms. Plenty of parking so that was nice. The location was away from the bars and restaurants but great for quick and quiet beach access. All staff were friendly and and smiling and helpful. The breakfast was not built for a farmboy appetite. Coffee, cold cereal, sausage links, and scrambled eggs. But great for the quick feed and go.

From the moment we walked in, everything was clean and updated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, even accommodating our early check-in without issue. Our room was spacious, with a kitchen, a large table, and firm, comfortable beds. The bathroom was spotless and free of any mildew, which is always a great sign of a well-kept property. The pool area was amazing — clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was great, too! They have a bistro menu available at the pool and a full bar but we didn’t eat from there this time. There were a couple of minor issues: our floor had some slumping spots, and the cable wasn’t working properly (though they mentioned this at check-in). We requested a new remote for the TV but never received it. That said, we didn’t make a big fuss — we weren’t there to watch TV anyway, just wanted something to wind down with before bed. I’m not someone who needs a super fancy hotel, but I do like a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay — and this hotel checked all the boxes. It was the perfect balance of affordability and quality. The view from our room at sunset was beautiful, and I’ll definitely be recommending this spot to others!

Good hotel for family with kids

The hotel was really good. Loved the pool and the breakfast was good. It changed the first 3 days we were there in the beginning but then they stopped and it was the exact same thing over and over again. the last 6 days we were there. The room was amazing except the tv didnt really work. The picture would go in and out. The front said they werw having problems with their provider. It sucked not having a TV with a toddler. I loved having a kitchen to cook in. We made lunch and went out for dinner.

The bathroom smelled like sewage. the refrigerator barely cooled. The internet/tv provider was not working.. We had to service our own room with towels. No trash liners unless requested. I enjoy the area of the hotel but service was not good.. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked great…

The toilet would not work. They sent someone up to fix it he said he would be back. Waited 2 hours and my husband went downstairs and they said they had already left for the night. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby. Around 12am they was willing to move us to another room but I was not getting up and moving after traveling all day. The room also smelled like weed. Also when we check in the person was kinda hateful. Also the TV glitches the whole time.

The location was really clean and seemed renovated. The room especially the bathroom could use some updates. The lighting was ugly and the painting near the toilet paper holder was peeling. The restroom was clean just seemed dated. The door to the restroom wouldn’t latch so it was impossible to lock it. The cable didn’t work, it was really bad signal. It was frustrating because we have small kids.

Always my 1st choice when staying in Galveston. Everything was what I’ve become use to when staying here except the pool. It was not clean this time. You could not even see your feet at the bottom. I know with peak season it’s probably hard to keep it clean. For families (especially with small children) a properly maintained pool is important. Miss the neon lighting at night too.

The room was clean, hotel smelled good, and they're pet friendly. The pool is fun and the pool bar had lots of good options for adults and kids. The only downside was the free breakfast, the options were limited and space was tight. We had to take the food to our room. Otherwise, it was great!

I liked the location right across the beach and kind of away from the main beach so you had more area to yourself. I didnt like you couldnt see the beach from our rooms. Also the placement of the tv was weird and uncomfortable. It was to the side of the bed instead of in front of bed. I had to lay flat so my wife could watch on her side. Ive never seen that before at any hotel.

We enjoyed our stay especially the cleanliness of the room. Our suite was absolutely everything we needed.

Only downside is that even though it's technically "beachfront", the hotel is located on the part of seawall that is all rocks, no shoreline. You can't walk or swim on the beach. About a 15-20 minute walk down seawall to see any people or get down to the actual beach. Didn't know this until we had already tried walking down to the beach. I just felt bad for my boyfriend who was carrying all of our beach stuff. Next time, I would just drive the car over to the nicer/swimmable part of Seawall.

The most disappointing part about this hotel is it has no internet if you need internet do not book here I had to use my phone's data the whole time I was there and it was a week!! Also my smoke alarm went off several times and I would call the front desk and tell them about it they would say they were going to send somebody and they never did. Good thing it was a false alarm....

Poor WiFi. No one was available at the front desk to handle problems. I was not able to log in my streaming apps on TV. For example Netflix was not working

Was a great stay even fulfilled my request for a room with an ocean view. Also arriving was greeted and offer water bottles.

Stayed here with my family for a small getaway. Hotel overall was good, pool looked very nice and relaxing, the breakfast in the morning was very good. Location is a bit away from things but really only adds about 5 mins extra to your trips. Only complaint was our bed felt off as if it was broken or something of the sort. Overall, this stay was good.

Stayed here for a business trip for 3 days. Great hotel, very clean. It across the road from the water but a good 5-10 minute drive to the shops and to the pavilion. If you’re looking to stay away from the busy part of strip it’s great. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay. We booked a 2 bedroom suite, which is a very rate find, at a very reasonable price. Front desk gentleman was extremely friendly and courteous. Room was spacious and well equipped. Instead of giving out mini bottles of toiletries, they have wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash which I actually appreciate since it's a bit more environmental friendly than throwing away/down cycling mini bottles after just a few nights of stay. The hotel room seems to have been updated somewhat recently so it's very clean and modern. Breakfast is standard, but food does get filled pretty quickly when certain items become empty. Overall I am very happy with our stay.

Shower was a rainfall. I didn't care for it. A/C would not maintain a steady temp. 3 am woke up sweating. 85 in room. Took it back down to 75. Woke up at 9am 80 in room. Laundry room only takes cards. Debit or credit. Not everyone wans to pay $5.75 for a washer. FYI go find a local laundry wash and dry under $7. It does have outdoor pool i didn't use. So cannot tell you much about it. Parking garage underneath. Quiet area. Dog park on site.

Keep coming back to this hotel. However the rooms a getting very worn. Our shower/tub had a giant crack in the wall. I’m sure that water is seeping into the wall, eventually causing mold. Front desk was unattended about 90% of the time.

Our room had a view of the pool and the ocean. The 2Bed/2Bath room was very spacious.

Pool is shared w another hotel and inconvenient to get to. Room has sink outside bathroom so if you want to get ready earlier and someone is sleeping there is no privacy. Rooms are just ok. Not nice or decorated. Could do without kitchen and make bathroom bigger

We were traveling with family. Loved the separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Beds were comfortable so were the pillows. Fluffy towels. Small kitchen if you wanted to cook. Great breakfast available every morning. Great pool. Beach across the street with no crowds. Great stay.

We stayed 5 days and enjoyed our stay. The Managers in the front desk really try their best to help you in everything. Giovanii especially is super nice and helpful. I do recommend staying here we sure will be back.

The Hotel is nice and close to the beach. The staff are great and the breakfast is good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I booked a suite with a beach view and all I could see out of my window was an empty field. The hotel is not really ON THE BEACH. It’s actually behind another hotel about a block or 2 off the beach. So a slight misrepresentation. There is no indoor swimming pool as shown on Expedia.

The property was going through renovations but it was quiet and the staff was super friendly. The castaway pool was awesome with great food and drink options!

This is not a beachfront hotel despite the address. It is located behind another hotel and somewhat difficult to find. The bathroom has one sink with limited counter space. No mirror in the bedroom so difficult for 2 people to get ready at the same time. No luggage racks or place to open luggage other than the floor bed. Much better options for the price.

I was given in a handicapped room, which was Barron no furniture a single chair to sit in. I asked, and I was told I booked through a third-party, so there was nothing they could do.

The property provided ample parking for my bike trailer and large pulling unit. The 2 bedroom unit with the kitchen was excellent for our needs. Everything was great except for that one desk clerk who didn't give a damn. The first request I made was never granted nor did she even put out any effort to try and honor my simple request. I walked around to the desk clerk at the Courtyard and she almost broke her neck to find me the items I had requested. 2nd incident I just simply asked if there was an exit at the end of the hallway, "she stated no", my uncle and I walked right down the hallway and went outside. Everyone else was excellent and went above and beyond especially the breakfast lady, custodian, and MVP to the maintenance man. Sorry to complain like this but I own 3 businesses and if one of my contractors was treating customers like this I would want to know. We'll be back!

The only negatives is the property is showing wear and tear, and the bathroom has a very poor design. The tub/shower/toilet area is extremely tight. The door barely closes without hitting the toilet. The parking garage was a great surprise.

This hotel is amazing. I will be staying here again for our next trip to Galveston. This hotel is tied in with the Court yard hotel in the front. They share the pool which is amazing. Up beat music plays over the speakers. There is a water fall. There is the Patio where they light the Fire Pit every night and you can easily make new friends. The room was super clean and I loved the Kitchen and all the utensils. A must stay, especially for the price.

Hotel was good, convenient, booked at last minute. Nice to have a mini kitchen, especially for a multi day trip.

Totally impressed with this place! Staff was amazing and always at work to keep things in order! I had NO complaints about my stay and will definitely plan another stay! You would not believe how many times I saw the staff actively on the grounds making sure all was in order!
