However, the property is outdated and under construction, with some guests reporting cleanliness issues and unfriendly staff. The rooms are spacious and the AC is cold, but some guests have experienced issues with noise and maintenance.

Over $100 for one night. When I checked in I was told I would not be charged by the lady at the front desk since my pet is a behavioral/emotional support dog and had my certificate. She was nice. The online web-site said pet friendly. We agreed to stay. I learned the next morning the pet friendly was only for certain rooms and was very misleading on the web-site. But the manager the next morning was not even people friendly ! And stole my money by charging my card without my approval. She said my support dog should be keep with me. But they don’t allow dogs at the water park ! She made us move to a very old part of the facility to better accommodate my dog. But I had to walk my 63 year old disabled body up and down stairs now to take my dog out where the new facility had grass. The room was more like a motel 6 with uncomfortable beds & pillows. The A/c rattled all night and I could not sleep. I did only have to squish one bug. I paid for 1 room for my daughter & kids for 2 nights in their newer better facility, plus a room for myself totaling over $600 then I was made to leave decent room along with $115 pet fee and then needed to stay an additional night in town for another $110 in a less than desirable room. I could’ve stayed at the Marriott courtyard with a Hot Tub for the same price, but I’d already been charged the ridiculous pet fee here. She made me very distressed ! It was my worse $800 hotel experience in Galveston ever !

We really enjoyed our stay. The mini golf course was definitely fun.
- 3/5
Everything was great other than the AC not working very good
- 3/5
Walked all the way to room with all his stuff and room key was never activated. He did not have it by a phone or magnet of any kind. The elevator was disgusting. Not worth the price.
- 4/5
Nice clean place.
- 3/5
Clean room and bathroom but we couldn’t help but feel like we were staying at an assisted living facility…. Sure enough, healthcare staff came to check on the residents in the morning, it was the oddest thing to have been given a hotel room there. That being said, the room was clean with the exception of a dirty arm chair, the bathroom was clean. We had a decent night’s stay and the kids enjoyed the pool. We didn’t get to try out the putt putt because we got in late and mosquitoes are relentless in Galveston at night plus we only stayed one night. Breakfast was also pretty subpar. Bad coffee, cheap dry muffins & pastry, weird auto pancake maker, and no other options. Next time, we’ll book a chain hotel like la Quinta or Hilton or something along those lines. This was a very odd booking.

I inspected the bed which is something I do with every visit and noticed a strange stain on the pillow that you could clearly see through the pillow case. Removed the pillow case and it was a huge mold spot that was on the actual pillow. They did exchange that pillow. Next, I inspect the lounge chair that is in the room and there’s a huge mold spot on the seat as if people that were wearing wet shorts, consistently sat in that spot. Next, I inspect the shower. The floor of the shower had a hole in it with white flex tape covering the hole. I rarely write reviews as I try to give companies the benefit of the doubt but this was just awful. Paying $220 for one night with all of these problems was quite surprising. If I could see these mold spots, where else was mold hiding?
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice, almost reminded me of a small apartment. The window blinds were very wide. I did, however, leave my neck pillow by mistake, but I didn’t need the pillow. The pillows on the beds were very nice and soft. I would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
No hot water the entire stay
- 4/5
It was a great place to stay. Close to the port.
- 3.5/5
Bathroom was way small
- 4.5/5
I loved the location, felt like we were pretty much staying ON property at Moody Gardens. They had not only a pool but putt putt golf which was great for just hanging out at the room! The rooms were VERY spacious but they seem as if need some extra repairs. For example, the 2nd lock at the top of the door was falling off of the wall - very unstable. Same for the toilet paper holder. The front door threshold was broken and a little unsafe for my child.
- 5/5
rooms r nice n spacious
- 5/5
The room is comfortable and spacious.
- 5/5
I like how clean and quite the area was Parking lot view but it was okay I still liked it
- 4/5
The room was very nice, clean and spacious. Covered parking was definitely a plus. There was a sign outside that advertised a restaurant but there was no restaurant. It’s a bit of a drive to the sea wall and restaurants but not a dealbreaker. Very reasonable rates for parking for the cruise. I would use them again.
- 3/5
The breakfast was very limited. No eggs, sausage bacon, toast, or FRESH FRUIT. The room was outdated. NO USB PORT.
- 1/5
Nothing Run down
- 1/5
It's close to the moody gardens The breakfast was horrible it was just some pastries and some bland pancakes. Nothing was good. There was also roaches in the room and outside. The place has really gone down hill since the last time I went
- 5/5
Clean kid friendly Breakfast could offer a little more variety
- 4.5/5
Big swimming pool.
- 5/5
Close to town! Breakfast was good but prefer a full breakfast!
- 2/5
Room was in need of complete remodeling. Mold in bathroom as well as room. Doors did not close nor lock, beds were very uncomfortable, had a very bad moldy smell. On a positive note parking was great, we had covered parking and parking for the week of our cruise.
- 3/5
Could have been better
- 5/5
We skipped breakfast and coffee second day to go to Seawall Coffee Company.
- 5/5
N/A, all great
- 4/5
Everything went great and was very clean and nice place to stay. The only drawback is the breakfast is basically nonexistent. They really need to improve on the breakfast options.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the A/C blew COLD. The beds were very comfortable. Covered parking was a plus! We have stayed there before and would again!
- 1/5
The pool did not close at 10 even though the website said it did. Because of light issues the pool closed at 8. The pool had baby frogs in it and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. The put-put golf was fun just don’t step on the red bricks around the course they will fall and so will you. The breakfast doesn’t look the way it does online. This was not a very good experience.
- 3/5
Yes
- 4.5/5
I really enjoyed everything about the room other than it may have needed a slight update on some things, but all in all loved it and would stay there again!
- 3.5/5
Quirky little spot. Ac worked wonderfully. Close to many shopping options. Mildewy smell in pillows and mattress as well as blankets. Parking was kinda clustered.
- 5/5
It was all good
- 5/5
It was all good.
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay
- 5/5
Very Fresh looking. Clean and colorful.
- 4/5
The room was clean and roomy. The miniature golf was fun for our family (all grown ups). The staff was very friendly and nice and the location is great for hitting the beach, Moody Gardens and more. We'd stay here again, if in the area.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast
- 3.5/5
I liked that it was in a good location Did not like that I could not take a shower because there was no hot water
- 2/5
There weee hardly parking spaces. Music or TV till around 2-3amp. Someone running above us . The floor we stayed seems people live there. Non-professional staff. Food was less to be desired. Couldn’t get and coffee or juice due to over capacity area.
- 5/5
Older property but well taken care of. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms clean. Was raining so was not able to do the golf. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
The Hotel was clean and well kept, the office staff were very friendly and where able to answer questions about the area that we needed. N/A
- 5/5
It was pouring down rain when we arrived. Host got us a room that was easy for us to get to and he was very nice and helpful. Great place to stay. Will definitely be back again.
- 4.5/5
There is free putt putt included with your room. My kids loved that. And it is minutes away from everything you need.
- 2/5
The outside of the Inn was inviting and a little deceptive. The mini golf and the pool were useful but could use some renovations. The actual room is where the let down begins. There was a moldy scent upon entry. Beds were comfortable. The tub was cracked and leaking. There was a part of the shower that was taped and the adhesive was spreading and made showering annoying because you had to stand in a certain position to avoid feeling like the shower was going to fall in. At the rates being charged we weren’t expecting perfection but also were not expecting motel environment. The breakfast was ok but they didn’t have milk for the cereal which was a bummer. Staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Highly recommend!! Next time I go to schlitterbahn I'll be staying here
- 5/5
The room was huge and very clean. The A/C worked great, parking was good, breakfast was good enough for grab and go. Mia was very friendly and informative. The shuttle services they recommend were not so good, we ended up calling uber (which was a bit cheaper). We spent most our time in Galveston so did not use pool or putt putt golf but, they looked inviting. It was a bit cool and windy. Overall experience with hotel was exceptional!
- 4/5
Not many options for breakfast. Coffee was good on day-1, but on day-2 it was just brown water
- 5/5
Was so close to the event and the room was very clean and comfortable. We will return to stay there next year.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stayed at this place. Clean, quite, no trouble. 😉👍
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
We stayed here for 5 days visiting from Australia. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Whilst the property is dated and in need of repair, it didn’t bother us nor impact our stay. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. It’s in a great location with free parking.
- 4/5
Breakfast was cereal or danish, fruit, juice, or coffee. No protein. Not quite what I needed. The rooms in the multistory building were spacious and clean with elevator and parking underneath that had video cameras. It was great to pay for parki g for the week we cruised.
- 4/5
Parking was secure, but challenging to find late at night. A/C worked well.
- 3/5
Was ok for a night
- 4/5
Helpful staff
- 5/5
Great location for Texas IM 70.3 race.
- 5/5
The staff was great
- 3/5
I am e budget traveler. I look for value. That means that sometimes I get a great deal and other times I don't. This was a mixed bag. The receptionist was great. The room was older. There was a big bug in my room, but hey, this is Texas and that will happen. It's no longer in that room.
- 2/5
We have stayed here for years to go on a cruises but absolutely will never stay again. I originally checked in at 3 o’clock and was told that the room wasn’t ready to come back in an hour, when we came back in an hour the person that checked us in was no longer there and the new desk clerk stated she couldn’t give us a room due to a washing machine was broken. The desk clerk advised me that I never paid for the room and that she was writing people’s names down on sticky notes and there were seven people ahead of me that would get a room first. When I explained I had paid for the room and even had a parking pass she told me “I don’t care” I’m doing what I want to. At one point I was told if I didn’t like it I could cancel and I could just leave her lobby. We ended up having to sit in our car for another 3 1/2 hours waiting for a room, we only got a room when my husband had to go in and beg for a room. We had booked a deluxe room and she told us there’s no such thing as a deluxe room at that hotel that the Expedia site was wrong This is not true. We have stayed there for years, the rooms in the tower at the back have an elevator, and are deluxe rooms. I have never have been through anything like this before
- 4/5
We thought our front desk guy was very polite and attentive. The only thing I don’t like is that I requested a downstairs room and was given an upstairs room. Since it was such an old building, there was no elevator. However, the front desk guy allowed us to switch to a downstairs room at no extra charge. The beds were bigger and we had our own separate kitchenette. The kitchenette was spacious but it seems like they could have put cabinetry along with some dishes and utensils for longer stays. The only other thing I didn’t like about the room is that the sink and closet area was so bright and there was not a separate door in between the room and the bathroom. When I was trying to sleep, my mom was getting ready for bed, and the lights were very distracting. We were able to park our car there for 4 nights while we went on our cruise, and it was very safe right next to the lobby.
- 3/5
There were some issues with our room smelling like weed. There was only decaf coffee available and when I asked for regular the lady pretended she couldn’t speak English even though I heard her talking to another lady as I walked up. The elevators had candy smushed into the floor that was there all weekend. We never got a chance to use the pool or mini golf so I can’t comment on that. The gentleman at check in was nice, and the beds were comfortable and the AC worked so those were some positives.
- 3/5
The property is dated, The breakfast could be better. Some of the staff is OK.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly. The room was clean but the elevators were in bad shape, the key didn't work to get in the building, my key didn't work to get in my room, (but they did send someone with a new key), the carpet was absolutely filthy, and my room smelled dirty even though it appeared to be clean. I didn't use the pool, but I did go to the lobby for coffee. It was packed with children putting their hands in everything. It was a mess! And the coffee was right next to the juice in the very small food area, so it took forever just to get a cup. The breakfast area was too small and too crowded. But the staff was so nice!
- 3/5
Our main issues were that construction supplies were placed in many parking spaces, rendering them useless for the intended purpose of parking. Additionally, new shutters have been added to the windows in the room but there were no curtains. The walkway lights were very bright at night - making the room too bright for restful sleep. We ended up hanging a blanket on the window and slept much better.
- 1/5
The room was awful!!!! Dirty. Ugly. The doors looked like dogs had chewed on them. I slept on the top of the bedspread. No dark shades as stayed. Door wouldn’t close all the way so wind blew in all night!!! Worst hotel we ever stayed at. Will never stay there again.
- 3/5
Pool was only accessible during daylight hours because the pool lights were out. Construction on premises mini golf was unkempt
- 4/5
Clean room, keycards sucked. Good price and location
- 4/5
The room was clean but had a bit of a musty smell. The staff was friendly. The room was large with a kitchen type area, bedroom and bathroom. We stayed the night before a cruise, they offered cruise parking but we had made plans to leave our car elsewhere. We’d stay there again before a cruise.
- 3/5
Check in was terrible. The girl at the front desk had a terrible attitude. She had no intention of answering any questions or anything
- 5/5
Was good
- 5/5
Our stay was wonderful. The room was clean, staff was great. We would stay here again.
- 3/5
The price was reasonable, it was quiet and the bed was comfy, but this is a HARD PASS for us in the future.
- 5/5
Loved the pool very clean and comfortable chairs.
- 1/5
No hot water in the entire building
- 5/5
This hotel has different problems and only one person to help, who was more than excellent , Mr. DiMarcus, a young man who changed my room, because the heather was not working at all. Also, the new room had a coffee maker not working, but the young man was not working in that moment.
- 2/5
Not impressed
- 3/5
Our stay was good, even though we never got the extra towels we asked for and the cleaning staff never came by after we asked them to clean our room. We also didn’t receive a call back after someone pulled the fire alarm for the false alarm other than those things the stay was very enjoyable.
- 3/5
Met basic need. I was concerned when I found a nail clipper inside the sheets of the bed during night. Not sure the sheets are actually getting changed.
- 4/5
Breakfast could use some improvement. Rooms big and very clean!
- 4/5
Good place to stay .
- 3/5
The rooms would have been better if they had better lighting. They need 24hr maintenance as well. The ac went out on day one of stay and no maintenance was available. We had to wait until the next day. The staff was wonderful and no bed bugs!!!! Overall stay was ok!!!
- 4/5
Breakfast was not great. Ended up going to IHOP. Nice bed. Water heater went out due to storm, but staff got it restarted quickly.
- 4/5
Horrible parking. Limited breakfast. Over all it’s a great low budget place. Close to the ports. Will still stall again soon.
- 2/5
The room was decent, but the putt putt golf is not only an eye sore, but dangerous!!! Electric poles were down, ant piles all along the course, and the greens were all torn up. Breakfast was nothing to brag about either. Cereal and that’s about it!
- 4/5
Check in staff and room was good
- 4/5
Clean place and accommodating. $20 to uber to ship. Basic continental breakfast with cereal, basic pastries, coffee and juice.
- 4/5
Room was good
- 4/5
Quiet
- 5/5
Large, comfortable room with all the amenities, good mattresses, free parking and breakfast--and mini-golf for good measure.
- 4/5
Clean, great value . Long term cruise parking is a good value. Needs updating in some places.
- 2/5
Room was neglected no pillow cases
- 5/5
Very affordable. Great front desk staff. Microwave and fridge in room with free breakfast makes is even better!
- 5/5
Everything was great.soft beds.
- 5/5
Personnel very attentive
- 4/5
well worn but clean
- 4/5
It was a nice room
- 5/5
A-OK
- 5/5
Friendly staff great cruise parking Ubar was cheap going to the port but it was twice as much going back to hotel
- 4/5
Only drawback was staying on second floor and having to lug our suitcases up and down. Rooms have been updated. I liked that there was NO carpet in our room.
- 5/5
Very satisfied with the staff and the room.
- 5/5
Great check in was fast and service was great ! Clean rooms and loved the area .
- 4/5
Room was spacious and clean. Lady at desk was nice. Parking a little crazy.
- 3/5
The breakfast is only some stale muffins and cold cereal and milk. Coffee was OK. One of the worst in any of my many hotel stays. Parking for the cruise was only $20 which was why we booked this hotel.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Reasonable priced, clean
- 1/5
I booked this room last minute to stay in the area before a cruise. We were there
- 3/5
Room was ok. Traveling with others in one vehicle, we were given a room which was occupied initially. Sent to a completely other building with three bags and no elevator on the second floor. Unacceptable. Complained to Expedia with no results
- 5/5
The room was great. The staff at the front counter was very helpful. We parked here for two weeks for 44 dollars. Can't beat that. We will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great staff clean room
- 3/5
The staff were excellent, the room not so much. We were on the second floor and it was raining. Our ceiling leaked. The floor was weak and had many dips from weak wood under the floor. The rate was okay and the room was very clean
- 1/5
The description of this was not accurate. It failed to say that it is also part of an assisted living center. There were nurses caring for patients in room next to us. These people reside there. It was not temporary as they had their names on the wall and color code the name plates of the rooms to identify it as a permanent resident or guest. We were in a pickle as we were stuck in the record breaking storm and had limited options. Would not chose to stay there again. The breakfast choice was cereal and milk and the coffee was horrible!!
- 5/5
I was allowed to stay in the lobby until it was appropriate to go to the cruise ship.
- 4/5
Room was clean.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
The desk personnel were very friendly.

- 5/5
Clean large rooms. Front desk very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was friendly
- 5/5
Clean room, courteous staff, variety of breakfast items.
- 3/5
The shower didn't work correctly and brown water came out. The heater made smoke detector go off and heat stayed off. Reported when checking out and office staff said "okay". No compensation.
- 5/5
Good clean place to stay and was even better than we could leave our car there for the week while cruising.
- 4/5
Great location for easy access to moody gardens love that they have roll away beds for that person that doesn’t want to share. Friendly staff
- 3/5
Rooms smelled like mildew and needed a hotel that had laundry available. Once we checked in I was told the entire laundry facility was out of order.
- 5/5
The facility is a bit dated but very clean and cozy. It is near the water park and moody gardens. Thhey had mini golf outside that you could play for free, which was fun. We did not go swimming, but the pool area looked nice
- 5/5
The room was surprisingly roomy and comfortable.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
They don’t ever clean your room! If you stayed 10days just know that your room will never never be cleaned! I calling and requested for our rooms to be cleaned and the guy in the front desk told me that they have only one cleaner so the moment they knew your check out date they’ll never 👎 come to clean. I and my entire family stayed 3nights and our 2 rooms were not cleaned up! Please stay away from this place!!
- 5/5
Everything
- 1/5
The room was dirty, ancient, and unsafe. I would never return and do not recommend it.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, staff super friendly. Definitely will stay again
- 4/5
Staff was great, parking for cruise was awesome, room was big, breakfast could be better. I would stay again!
- 4/5
The room was very clean. Pubic areas could use some attention. Staff was VERY courteous, they were helpful wityh everything!
- 5/5
Nice room, clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 5/5
The room was big very spacious! Staff was very friendly! Place was clean and well maintained
- 5/5
Clean facilities, room was nice, bed and sheets were nice, great location.
- 5/5
Staff was courteous, room clean, $20 parking for the week if you’re going on a cruise or just for parking your vehicle for a week you can’t beat that, and a great breakfast!
- 1/5
Not ever planning to stay here again.
- 1/5
Night reception was eating and didn’t stop while she talked to us. When we when in our room I sat my sandwich down for a couple minutes and when I went to grab it, a cockroach was all over it. When I called front desk she was rude about it saying, “what do you want me to do about it?”!!!
- 2/5
Do not recommend this hotel for the price paid. Our toilet wouldn’t flush, the room smelled and no maintenance on duty. We were able to change rooms. To say there was a lack of service is putting it mildly.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet parking was good Breakfast wasn’t much
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
I was wble to travel closer to Moody Gardens. The mini golf course was nice.
- 4/5
Large clean room
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. The Inn is an old establishment and really need to get rid of all the carpeting because the smell was pretty bad and with my allergies, well, made me sick. Don’t need carpeting in the rooms at all or if, need to replace the old, musty smelling carpet.
- 5/5
Front desk was super nice. Room was good for a one night stay. Close to the beach and water park - restaurants all around!
- 1/5
Room had roaches… enough said
- 2/5
The room was nice and large but the lack of black out shades made it bright and hard to sleep in the morning. Was disappointed the pool was closed tho the weather was still quite warm. The mini golf course was beyond run down and neglected in need of much repairing. Most of the light poles either didn't work or were broke and on the ground wich wasn't the safest. There was also a man hole cover that was open and very unsafe
- 5/5
Front desk was very nice. Explained everything clear. Room was clean
- 4/5
Helpful staff and clean room. Nice location if you are driving. On the negative side, they are renovating the pool which could take some time (my visit October 2025) and the miniature golf is playable but needs renovation itself. Also, the shower dripped when off. Minimal breakfast.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and cold. The staff were very nice.
- 4/5
Closed for construction
- 4/5
great location and wonderful staff
- 1/5
Booked this pet friendly room through a third party. If you enjoy sleeping with cockroaches this hotel is for you. Woke up early to use restroom, flipped on light and saw 3 scatter. Decided to investigate rest of the room and saw a dead one in the puddle the air conditioner made INSIDE of the room. Packed up our stuff and left. We did ask for discount or refund. They did give us a peasly $23 off. Will never stay here again. Buyer beware!!!!!!!
- 2/5
Room was very clean, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The property itself is just lacking. Security doors not working, room keys deactivated within hours, unsecured and unmonitored grounds. Breakfast should not be considered that.
- 5/5
Website states that there was a pool, but when we checked in the pool was closed.
- 3/5
Breakfast was worst I’ve had.. coffee was nasty. Stale pastries… yogurt… wasn’t terrible. Cereals, limited, not plant based milks available “smells like a nursing home
- 4/5
Shows terrible super very slow water!!!
- 4/5
The rooms were really clean for the most part. I was a little disappointed that you had to turn on all of the lights in order to use one light. During check-in Mia, was very rude and short with all of the customers. If you asked her a question, she would immediately suggest canceling the booking and getting a refund. That is not a way to retain customers. The breakfast was not great, so be prepared to eat elsewhere. The fruit was not fresh nor was the pastries. The amenities like the pool were closed due to “construction“ which was disappointing because we booked for the pool and we were not notified until after the booking. but other than that, it’s a great place to stay and a short drive to the beach.
- 4/5
Mosquitoes are everywhere. Do not expect their breakfast.
- 4/5
The room was nice, spacious ,and very clean. Love the 2 sinks in our bathroom.
- 4/5
This hotel has a fun miniature golf course. The room was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast had cereal and muffins, fruit and yogurt. We went early because the front desk attendant warned us they would run out. The pool was closed while we were there. The TV also didn't receive any channels. The front desk said maintenance had left for the day. It was a great value for a Saturday night in Galveston.
- 2/5
Essentially no breakfast as they only serve sweets only like rolls and cereals no eggs or bread.
- 4/5
The pool was under remodeling even though that wasn’t communicated even though that was the one of the main reasons we picked this hotel.
- 5/5
We were only staying one night. The property is conveniently located and the staff was very nice. The hotel is dated but the beds are comfortable and that’s all that really matters when traveling.
- 3/5
Everything was closed. Pool. golf.
- 5/5
Putt putt golf course on site. Easy parking. Friendly staff and attentive to our needs.
- 1/5
Staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful , it is a DUMP !
- 2/5
The good thing about the room was the bed was clean and comfortable. The room was run down and smelled of a nursing home.
- 5/5
What a nice little place in such a great location! It was a great price and clean! Highly recommend.
- 3/5
Super outdate looks nothing like photos pool was closed
- 4/5
Clean room, pool was closed for renovations no hot tub room was nice
- 4/5
This hotel has nice curb appeal, a great location, and the price was right.
- 5/5
It was much a nice stay!
- 1/5
Smoking smell in lobby. Breakfast doesnt include bread, butteer, egg etc
- 4/5
The first night we kept hearing banging above us while we were trying to sleep we called the office and they finally got it taken care of, very nice place to stay
- 3/5
Not located in good area , had to urber every where. Pictures didnt look the same in ad
- 5/5
The pool was closed
- 4/5
Fun that they have minigolf available. Very large rooms.

Room was nice and cold, staff are nice but the breakfast was not as good as years past. No hot breakfast and for the price similar to hotels that do, they really should. Nice part is being able to have my dogs there. The fee is steep guess it is what it is. Putput needs to be cleaned up, branches and stuff all over, so balls didn’t travel right. Just upkeep needs work.

So I had accidentally made the booking right around midnight on Expedia and it immediately moved it to the next night and the lady at the front desk was kind enough to let me stay there that night instead and then because I had already used the Expedia reservation I guess it charged me, but it had charged me twice and every time that I tried to talk to somebody about this, they refused to believe me.
- 4/5
Loved it for one night
- 4/5
Location is older, but was good. Near Schlitterbaum and Moody Gardens. They are doing renovations. Breakfast was yogurt, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice. No fruit or protein items. Was ok for us. Room was clean. Leaving car during the cruise was the big plus for a nominal charge per week. Even after Uber to port, there is a savings. Would stay again.
- 4/5
Ok
- 3/5
The AC was so loud, can not sleep. Lobby was smelled very strong with the chemical.
- 1/5
I bought my stay through hotel.com but this was one of the worst places I could have stayed. I had my ESA dogs with me and all the paperwork but the guy didn’t want to see them and made me pay the dog fee. So I could have stayed beach front for the price I paid at this crappy hotel and with my dogs cause they go everywhere with me. When I took a shower I had to stand in filthy water cause the tub wouldn’t drain. The room was hot and very dated. If you are in Galveston stay elsewhere.

Clean, spacious, kind staff

- 3/5
Yall might wanna check the shower rod in 231, genuinely thought it was gonna fall on me. Bed was cozy, overall ok.
- 2/5
I booked this property because it was close to activities. Nothing was open.

A little hidden gem on the island. The hotel is close to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Water Park. The rooms were very large over in the “tower” section. Our room had 2 queen beds and a sitting area with a small table and chairs. The furniture was a little dated but still ok to use. We loved the 520 sq. ft.which made the room very spacious for my family of 3. The window was in need of cleaning, but the ac was cold, the shower was low flow, but the water was hot. Also loved the way the restrooms had been remodeled. Mia at the front desk and the cleaning staff were very kind and helpful and even let us choose the room facing the softball fields. The other view was of some large water tanks which were not too pleasant to look at, however we spent most of our time on the beach anyway. My son and husband loved the coffee in the room, and also the microwave for popcorn and warming up leftovers. Also the fridge was really cold and had to be lowered. We will definitely be back as the rates are very affordable and the area was so quiet and safe. Also loved the parking under the building and the elevator and I so appreciated the no smoking policy. I’ve noticed some hotels on the seawall blvd that are so smelly of cigarettes and smoking. It was such a relief to not see this here. The hallways reminded me of Moody Gardens. Thank you Inn at the Waterpark for a wonderful stay! We will be back.😊

I stayed in a room with 2 queen size beds, overall the room was clean. The downside was that our room key did not work properly, we could hear our loud neighbors and the small refrigerator did not cool at all. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
- 3/5
It did have an elevator, because my mom is on a scooter. But it was the fact that the elevator was out side of the main building where the little breakfast was. So we had to go down from the building go out across the middle way and then go to breakfast. I guess my mom was a little bit upset by that. The staff was friendly. The Inn At The Waterpark was a good getaway.
- 5/5
For my experience the room that was assigned to us me having my wife in a wheelchair had the best facilities for her than other places we’ve been. Thanks for That,100% recommend.
- 3/5
The rooms are very dated and had a bad musty odor. Lots of old, cracked caulking in bathroom. A/C unit noisy so much I had to turn it off, which in-turn made the room too warm. Not stocked; had to go hunt down some TP. Certainly not a very good value for $189 a night. It was very convenient to the water park though; right across the street.
- 5/5
While the breakfast was minimal due to renovations I still give it 5 stars. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and it was also quiet.
- 2/5
It was an old retirement home
- 3/5
Got to property early due to red eye flight to Houston. Sat in lobby for hours waiting supervisor to come on 11am. Desk clerk ignored us for over hour with sign on desk "restroom be back 5 mins." Room was ready around 10am but $50 early check-in charge and paid almost $200 for on night prior to cruise.
- 5/5
We had a great experience. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean.
- 2/5
Arrived for check in at scheduled time after reserving and pre-paying for a King room. Was told that room was not ready and would be a minimum of another hour before we could check in. Since we couldn't wait due to a scheduled event we opted for a queen room they had available. Was told it was the same cost so no refund or anything offered even though online the price for a queen room is less than a king. When we got to the room it only had a shower, no tub as the room we reserved was supposed to have, and the door to the hotel room was very difficult to shut and lock all the way. Room was decently clean but we won't be returning due to the overall experience with service.
- 5/5
Our room was large, and very clean. Just as advertised The Hotel had the most amazing Plants.
- 3/5
Future out dated. Like in the 60’s
- 2/5
I feel the Inn needed to be updated and it smelled musty
- 5/5
I’d come back! Staff was attentive and kind!
- 3/5
However would have preferred to have the room cleaned out with fresh towels and trash bins cleared daily. Was only done once in the 5 day stay.
- 5/5
I wish they still had the pancake maker or get waffle iron
- 5/5
The room was old, coffee stale, bathroom has mold around the tub, a little thin bar of soap
- 2/5
Breakfast stated on the website was not what was served. We ended up paying to go eat at a restaurant. Miniature golf was not maintained several things cracked or broken. Web gave impression pool had slides. It was not up to its competitors at similar prices. Would not recommend.
- 4/5
Because of this I want be able to stay there again
- 4/5
The continental breakfast was absolute trash, just sugary pastries and cereal. Room was adequate and clean. Property is quite and peaceful.
- 5/5
Had a great stay! Walking distance to the Waterpark. Breakfast was cereal, fruit, muffins and coffee. Would have loved some waffles or eggs but that’s ok! The putt golf was fun and kids loved it! The lady on staff during the day was friendly and helpful! Answered all my questions!

We stayed 3 nights and
- 1/5
The golf course was horrible The rest of the stay was good
- 5/5
It was exactly what we needed. Breakfast was lacking in protein for us non carb eaters but we are used to that.
- 3/5
Rooms and furnishings were dated, but clean.
- 2/5
The property is very old and dirty. Mold in the bathroom, hair in the tub and sink. Mattresses were old. The room smelled.
- 5/5
Nice family-friendly hotel that is well-maintained at a very good location on Galveston. Staff was especially helpful with great customer service. We would return to stay again.
- 4/5
Very cool that there is a mini golf course on property site. Golf course could use some TLC. Jelly palm fruit all over the sidewalk that had fallen from the palm trees and was never cleaned up. Created quite a mess from people walking through it.
- 2/5
Beds were like stone. Room was loud and they charged us extra fees.
- 4/5
It was just fine for the price! DeMarcus at the front desk is awesome!
- 3/5
It was an ok place to stay. There were roaches all over the place in the room. We killed about 5 of them before giving up. We slept with the lights on in hopes of deterring more. We just needed a place to lay our heads and it was ok for what it was worth.
- 2/5
This is an older hotel which shows in chips in paint, carpet, and over-all look. Woke up in the middle of the night to discover roaches in the , that the bathroom...didn't do much to make us feel the hotel room was clean/sanitary.
- 3/5
The floor above was noisy all night u can hear all the jumping and running
- 5/5
The changes
- 5/5
we would definitely stay a game. The value is amazing. It's not walkable distance from the beach really though it does sit next to a waterpark but you don't get any discounts. It has putt golf, which is nice and their own little pool and they did a good job keeping everything really clean no weird smells or anything like that.
- 4/5
The property was good. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was OK. The service the staff were great. My only two complaints was my granddaughter was sleeping and woke up to a big cockroach in her hair. I also did not like the pool area the pool was really dirty. Smell of urine But everything else was good.
- 4/5
Nice overall. Not really in the heart of things and the area is next to the airport.
- 4/5
The room was very clean when we got there but after a while the restroom had a smell like sewer and made the room smell. And when house keeping came to clean the room when we were gone they didnt put more towels and didnt shut our room door so we could just push it open!
- 3/5
Overwhelmed by musky smell in room. The breakfast was minimal amount for people. The putt putt golf was fun and the pool was not very crowded. Extremely close to schlitterbahn. They are renovating the rooms and I’m sure with the upgrades it will be amazing
- 3/5
Nice, but close to NOTHING, but the water park. The pool sucks.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious and in a good location. Our bathroom didn’t have a tub so my little one had to shower
- 2/5
One of the beds in my room had blood stains on the sheets. The room was hot even though the ac unit said 68. There was a funny smell to the room. Like dampness and old paint. The electrical plugs did not work so we could not charge our cellphones. The “continental breakfast” was a joke. The worse I have ever had.
- 2/5
Breakfast was minimal, sheets and blankets were stained with blood, bed was broken, I had to sleep on the couch. AC leaks outside make sidewalks slick, drips from 2nd floor make steps hard to walk down. Tried to complain but no one in office. The one guy who checked me in and out was very nice.
- 3/5
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-kept space. I’ll absolutely be booking again in the future!
- 5/5
Clean, well kept rooms. Great for a young family. Close to many attractions.
- 4/5
We chose Inn at the Waterpark primarily for its value on Expedia and its convenient location near the Gulf and Galveston attractions. While we didn’t experience any major issues during our 6-day stay, there were several concerns worth noting. The property itself felt safe and quiet, and the staff were consistently friendly and responsive when we reached out. However, a few maintenance and cleanliness issues did detract from the overall experience. We observed visible mold in several areas, including the ice machine on the third floor, inside our room’s air conditioning unit, and parts of the bathroom. On the one day we turned the heat on due to a chill in the room, a strong smoke-like odor was emitted, possibly from melted blue scent beads or air freshener which was visible in the system. Housekeeping did not automatically service our room during the week, we had to request it when we wanted it cleaned. While staff responded promptly to those requests, it would’ve been nice to have a more proactive approach to cleanliness throughout the property. In summary, the stay was quiet, budget-friendly (approximately $130 per night), and the staff was kind, but improvements in sanitation and upkeep, especially regarding mold and ventilation, would greatly enhance the guest experience.
- 3/5
Stayed here because it was close to the Moody Gardens. This hotel/motel has seen better days. The rooms are dates, the furniture is dated,
- 4/5
For a last minute trip it was ok. At check in the person in the counter was not vey welcoming. We got to our room and the key was not working. We had to wait for someone to come open the door, which is ok but we were all tired and had a tired 3 yr old. Breakfast was ok, they mainly had breads and self serve pancake station. The breakfast was limited . The room was clean.
- 5/5
Stay was amazing. Very friendly staff. Front desk, breakfasts crew, and housekeeping all appeared to be happy to work there.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels in Galveston. Just wish the breakfast was better
- 4/5
It is a pretty decent facility. I am pleasantly surprised
- 4/5
Was pleased with this property.
- 5/5
Close to all kid friendly attractions! Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast too!
- 5/5
They were grate to work with and very friendly
- 3/5
This is a very badic hotel. It was clean, which is a big plus. The wall by our door looked like it had sime sort of water damage. The kids enjoyed the mini golf. The pool was a bit run down, broken plaster on the bottom, broken umbrellas. Breakfast was basic, microwave didn't work, ice machines didn't work.
- 5/5
I would stay here again!
- 4/5
Parking was covered and the rooms were clean👏
- 5/5
Thanks 👍
- 4/5
It was a lovely, clean, older place to stay. a little high on the price for it, but no complaints
- 5/5
Convenient walk to Schlitterbahn.
- 5/5
The room was great for the price and the Inn is located close to everything in town
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay and staff was friendly.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Comfortable beds. Outdated carpet in the rooms. Waterpark proximity a plus. We walked to the waterpark. Breakfast not the best but doable. Coffee not good. We would stay again if we went back to Schlitterbahn.
- 4/5
Our room was clean and quiet. Good distance away from the beach crowd but still conveniently located to amenities. Could use some modern updates but overall good bang for your buck.
- 5/5
This was are second start and we will continue to stay here when in the area. All around service/ stay was great!
- 4/5
Need do something about the Smell in the hallway it’s awful.
- 4/5

- 4/5
