Reviews
The hotel is generally clean and well-maintained, with a great location that is far from downtown crowds and close to shops, restaurants, and coffee. However, reception is poor and some staff are unfriendly and rigid. The hotel is older but comfortable and reasonably priced, with a good continental breakfast.
- Great location
- Clean and well-maintained
- Poor reception
- Unfriendly and rigid staff
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great view
- 4/5
Super clean! Very basic and the bed was stiff, but overall good experience.
- 5/5
Such an amazing small town feel. The rooms are small and quant. All the amenities you need they have. Outdoor pool was under construction but we were there to visit the Iron Springs Hot Springs. The hotel is minutes from driving downtown.
- 5/5
Very decent stay. My wife and I have stayed here several times over the years. There is a Starbucks across the street that has EV Fast charging via ChargePoint and we found that helpful.
- 4/5
Two pools were great, indoor and outdoor .okay breakfast. Nice garden area and nice staff. Like that rooms have hard floors and no carpet. Bathroom was very small.
- 2/5
This an old property and doesn’t have any of the modern amenities or security expected at hotels now. Only the indoor pool was open. The property didn’t feel very secure for two women traveling alone. Beware.
- 4/5
Breakfast was a great selection of a variety of items…staff friendly/helpful…clean rooms
- 5/5
Stayed there for 1 night. It was decent price and stay also breakfast included! And safe neighborhood.
- 5/5
So nice to see a independent owned family business take pride in their property and business
- 5/5
It was a very nice place with a very friendly staff. The outdoor pool was closed, but the indoor pool and hot tub were open.
- 3/5
The breakfast was a little lacking.
- 4/5
Front desk staff needs to make eye contact and be a little more friendly. Less concerned about whatever is on their screen.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean room and quiet. Updated style, not a big room but perfect for 2. Didn’t use pool but saw others using and they appeared satisfied
- 2/5
Staff was incredibly unfriendly. Rooms were clean but very dated. Amenities felt like a one star hotel. HVAC system is louder than a freight train. Other better options in the area.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 1/5
Needed to check in 15 minutes early to freshen up for a wedding after traveling all day. Staff refused even though I called and made arrangements the day prior. No real good excuse why. Waited until the 3 pm check in and they still didn't let us check in. Paid $165 for this room. Horrible value for what we got.
- 5/5
Good lication
- 3/5
Room was nice clean, could have used black out curtains over the blinds otherwise very nice
- 4/5
Breakfast was ok.
- 5/5
The room was clean. The staff was nice. The pool was very accommodating and I liked it and the hot tub. I will write this a five star as far as that.
- 5/5
Breakfast was way too carb-heavy and I realize protein is more expensive and more staff intensive (ie less profitable). At this price point ($420 over three nights, I would be willing to pay another $6-$8 per night if you would provide sausage patties or bacon at breakfast. Maybe there's a health regulation I don't know about, but hard boiled eggs just doesn't cut it. I realize there are a ton of options around, but the breakfast service is so convenient, that I wanted to let you know what would improve it. Thanks. Great location. Oh, and add one more pillow to the bed, four instead of three.
- 3/5
The room waa clean and staff was helpful. The location is convenient and a short drive to every Glenwood attraction. The beds were not the worst but I found them to be far too firm. I had to go to Walmart and buy a mattress topper. The outdoor pool was not open despite being advertised as such on Expedia. The hotel breakfast leaves much to be desired and I'd say is a few steps below what you'd typically expect at an average hotel, but its walking distance from a great local breakfast diner.
- 5/5
Very inexpensive for the area, the rooms were clean and quiet. The pool and hot tub were great. We will be staying here again!
- 1/5
This hotel is overpriced. Sits off busy street, rooms are small with little amenities and the bathroom are designed nonsensically. Loud plumbing noises and old.
- 3/5
decent place to stay just needed a place to rest overnight, did it's purpose
- 2/5
Older, outdated hotel, though the floor had just been redone. Terrible mattresses. Heat/AC sounded like a B2 bomber. Toilet lid couldn't open all the way because of recently installed counter behind it. Had to maneuver under said counter to flush the top-mounted flush buttons on the toilet. Family suite provided plenty of space, and we had a good time playing cards on the 6-person dining table, but make sure you call the front desk to book a suite away from Grand Avenue. Otherwise, make sure to bring a good set of earplugs. It sounded like a drag strip right outside our windows. This was without a doubt the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in.
- 4/5
We had a quiet and comfortable room. The washcloth I first grabbed was dirty; it had some fluorescent yellow stuff, and it was obviously used - a bit concerning. The bed was comfortable and did smell clean. Nothing fancy but did the job for a night.
- 4.5/5
No windows in rooms, so it was scary. The air-conditioning work very loud that made it hard to fall a sleep. Beds not super comfy, but ok if it is only few days.
- 4/5
Very Clean The breakfast
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Friendly staff, good pool and nice breakfast.
- 4/5
The room and facilities were very clean and the staff very nice and helpful. Great travel stopover for a night or two. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
We loved it. Very clean rooms. Super close to the highway. Quiet and safe.
- 3.5/5
No complaints
- 5/5
The outside pool was not available, and the inside pool was smaller than the picture on the website showed
- 4.5/5
Proximity to hospital, parking, nearby restaurants. Small comfortable room for single traveler.
- 4.5/5
I like the cedar Lodge and I've stayed here before. Good location and nice facilities.
- 4/5
Bien el lugar y con atención
- 4/5
Parking lot was full when we stayed but they had a lot of guests so parking was limited. Nice rooms and good amenities. Great weekend stay in this mountain town!
- 5/5
Mattress they need to be up dated it was like sleeping in waterbed it moved wvery time we turned
- 2.5/5
the location fitted to our needs room - not well maintained staff - in checkin was not really welcoming
- 4.5/5
It is a nice hotel to stay in Glenwood spring for one night
- 5/5
The hot tub and pool were amazing. Very friendly staff.
- 4/5
Breakfast was sub par, no hot breakfast just continental.
- 2.5/5
The price
- 5/5
Great trip for my family. The outdoor pool wasn’t open yet and the indoor pool and hot tub got crowded. Good breakfast with lots of pastries and bagels. Clean maintained property. Room was clean and had the basics. Great area with restaurants within walking distance. Perfect little getaway!
- 5/5
clean room
- 5/5
It was in a convenient location. The room was clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and clean room.
- 5/5
Excellent motel
- 5/5
The room was an appropriate size as was the king size bed. We were able to make the reservation the day before our stay for a quick getaway trip to the mountains. Checking out was a breeze and there were no hidden fees.
- 2.5/5
It was very loud above us day and night. We heard walking running all of the time. Hard to sleep and the beds were too hard.
- 4/5
I loved the location, still close to city center but far enough away we didn’t hear and freeway noise or get bothered by traffic. Very cute property with comfortable bed, nice facilities, and decently priced. Exceptional staff!
- 4/5
The parking lot felt small which is fine but finding parking was hard lol and there was a stain on one of the sheets but it was chill, we were only staying for one night. Other than that, everything was great!
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was decent, rooms were clean, good location
- 4/5
It's a nice property. Our room was well stocked with towels, coffee, etc. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate. Our only difficulty was hauling luggage up and down stairs, but even that wasn't so bad. We would stay again.
- 4.5/5
Second stay in 7 days ... it is a motel, a good motel with a great breakfast. I am a solo traveler / single bed ... which is a queen bed but they call it a single ... so go for it. IT is a great value, quiet, clean. On this second stay, the water was not as hot as on the first stay (different room)
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean. They provide dispensers for soap, body wash and shampoo. Plenty of towels. Breakfast was plentiful (no waffles). Easy check-in and they have real keys so no one can accidentally get in your room. Got in too late to use pool or spa ( still open, just late for us.
- 5/5
The kitchenette was very clean and accommodating. Very good location
- 1.5/5
Nice view Everything minus the view
- 4/5
Price was a little high for what it is
- 5/5
I really appreciated how friendly and profession the staff were at the check in desk. They provided clear instructions and descriptions of the amenities offered for the property. The facilities are well maintained and the rooms were very clean and functional. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night as we were stopping over to rest for the rest of our road trip but I am confident that the pool and jacuzzi would have been nice.
- 5/5
Great Value. Amazing staff. Good breakfast
- 5/5
We don’t have time to used the pool but look excellent, breakfast it’s ok
- 4/5
Quick
- 5/5
Unfortunately there were no food available as every business had to close. They had a nice courtyard to hang out at. Considering it was a good place to stay.
- 4/5
Not what I expected
- 5/5
Lovely breakfast, inside pool, accommodating staff, quiet rooms
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
but the chlorine smell was so strong we had asthma. The beds were very comfortable, but we had very noisy people behind and on the top rooms that threw beisballs and a freebie to our windows and door, all this accompanied with loud music. An ok breakfast, a plus? Boiled eggs. Nothing special about it. 1st staff was not friendly, but the one after her was great, and helped us with utensils and cups. We may go back to this hotel because location
- 3/5
One of the front desk attendants was very rude. We got there at 2pm and tried to see about checking in early, she didn't even check to see if room was ready, all she said was no. Not til 3pm. We have never had an issue anywhere else. Breakfast was simple. Donuts, cereal, coffee, toast.
- 5/5
Cleanest hotel ever! Greatest prices I have found.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect.
- 4/5
NA
- 5/5
Perfect location for fishing. Everything very clean
- 4/5
If you’re looking for budget lodging with some nice amenities, this is the place. This family owned motel has simple rooms with comfortable beds, a pool, and includes breakfast. There were a couple cons - limited WiFi and a loud air conditioner. Otherwise, a great place to stay. I’ll definitely check it out next time I’m in Glenwood!
- 5/5
Super clean rooms and staff are all so nice. And great location
- 4/5
Nice motel for the price. Nice location.
- 3/5
The room was clean but the sink was slow draining which was annoying. Staff very friendly and accommodating when we requested a late checkout. Decent breakfast consisting variety of donuts, bagels, yogurt, hb egg, and fruits. Overall, great price for an overnight.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great for the price
- 3/5
breakfast was underwhelming.
- 5/5
Awesome experience — front desk gal was very helpful
- 4/5
Not a 5 star hotel but they do their best :)
- 5/5
I give this hotel a five-star rating the place was clean the staff was nice the hot tub in the pool and the sauna was wonderful the grounds were very well kept getting someplace you want to go stay I've already been to Glenwood springs this is my third time and this hotel was reasonably rated it was expensive it wasn't Overkill it was a very nice pleasant stay and when I go back next month I will stay there again
- 5/5
Está muy limpio todo está perfecto
- 3/5
The place is fine and a good value. Little run down, sheets smelled, small pillows, and heater/air made a horrible noice. Decent breakfast, hot tub and sauna was nice. Staff was responsive.
- 4/5
Clean room, clean pool and sauna, wasn't there to try the breakfast. Only complaint was that hot water was not there in morning took long time to heat up.
- 5/5
Great price at a well maintained property!
- 1/5
We showed up to the hotel and they were closed we couldn't check into the room and still got charged!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and breakfast was perfect for a quick meal before our hike.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, and staff gave exceptional customer service.
- 5/5
Very clean and tidy, breakfast had a good range available. Comfortable beds.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Breakfast adequate. Staff preoccupied.
- 5/5
It's always a good deal. We have stayed here a dozen times. When you're traveling for business the price is important as long as the value is equal.
- 3/5
The property is old and I may not booked if they showed us the picture of property in their picture. Please check in google before booking. I would consider this as a Motel with a swiming pool and a good FREE breakfast.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay, loved the rooms and the view. Hopefully we can make it back in the future
- 5/5
The breakfast was Continental breakfast. Toast would be the only hot thing. Check-in staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Stay was good. Price was good. Hope to return when summer pool is open.
- 4/5
A nice clean place to stay and loved the breakfast!
- 4/5
The kitchen suite was very large it was nice to be spread apart after 7 hours in a car together.
- 4/5
Property a bit dayed, but clean and quaint
- 2/5
You could here to much noise from the upstairs
- 5/5
Front desk lady was amazing when I checked in. I requested a ground floor because of a medical issue, without any hesitation she was able to accommodate me. Great breakfast as well.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay the breakfast was okay outdoor pool was out of season but indoor pool was great. Size of the pool A+ nice and cool, hot tub did its job. Staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean, understand reasoning for half pillows😉
- 4/5
Not enough choices for breakfast. But for price it was ok.
- 4/5
Everything we needed and the price was right.
- 4/5
Fresh food didn't use indoor pool outside pool not open
- 5/5
It is an older Motel pictures do look a little fancier but the rooms are very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast was decent lots of fresh stuff they do a good job. And there was a pool with a hot tub (and even a sauna which I didn't try out) but I thought that was cool. We really enjoyed our trip and it didn't break the bank. Plus the motel was only about 10 minutes from all the stuff downtown so it's not like it was too far away
- 5/5
Amazing place beautiful
- 5/5
Muy recomendado
- 1/5
This is definitely not a “lodge.” It’s a retro motel, with everything bad you remember from your childhood road trips. A chunky brass key for your door. Brown and gold decor, paper-thin walls so you can hear six neighbors, dirty counters, and someone else’s hair in the bed. Somehow the first floor is hollow like there’s a creepy basement downstairs. Breakfast is not much more than a few donuts and some sad-looking yogurt. We felt fortunate our car wasn’t broken into because this is definitely the culmination of a Chevy Chase movie.
- 5/5
Room was clean and within walking distance to my work.
- 5/5
My family stayed here one night on a longer trip. Everything was clean and the whole thing was very smooth. Breakfast was basic but fine. The pool and hot tub were a huge perk at the end of a long travel day. There are Several restaurants within walking distance. We would stay here again!
- 4/5
Clean room, Staff friendly.
- 4/5
Older rooms but very clean.
- 4/5
The breakfast was satisfying. The atmosphere was chill, staff was attentive and courteous. Had no complaints and found it to be a pleasant stay. And if it is not already on your radar, the hotel is right across the street from the springs, which is one of the best places to spend a few hours or a day or a few days.
- 5/5
Only downside was the heater in our room didn’t have an auto temperature control—either on or off. So that resulted in awkward temperatures. I suggest the staff/owner to fix it!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Everything we needed
- 5/5
A quick stop but great place, right in the middle of the main drag through town.
- 5/5
Very accommodating and clean.
- 3/5
Good priced. Good location
- 5/5
Amazing stay! Friendly staff. Clean room. Pool was great.
- 5/5
Great place to stay I’ll do it again. The bed squeak.
- 5/5
Everything was very good for a reasonable price.
- 5/5
The facility was clean and has a beautiful property next to the river. Wish the breakfast was a little better.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff
- 4/5
Clean room, helpful staff.
- 1/5
not toilet papers
- 5/5
Very clean, simple room. Friendly customer service at front desk. Solid breakfast. The room key was an actual metal key, very nostalgic.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and everything in the room worked. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub worked and was clean. The breakfast was good and the lady working the breakfast room kept it clean and orderly. This place acted like they wanted our business and they earned it, I would stay again.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet and comfortable
- 4/5

- 5/5
Room was clean, comfortable. Great spot!
- 5/5
Very clean. LOVED the breakfast. Lots of square feet in our room (218).
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
We reserved a room with a queen bed and only got a full size bed. The room was not ready when we checked in. The hot tub wasn't very hot and the inside pool was cold.
- 3/5
The room was ok, the bed are terrible, the pillow the worst. We stay 2 nights to explore around. Mayne for the value of the money was ok. The breakfast its very simple.
- 5/5
Love the pool, hot tub and sauna. Great breakfast options.
- 3/5
It was okay.
- 4/5
Everything was great except for the wi-fi. It just didnt seem to stay connected. Room was clean. Close to everything. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
I always like how balanced this place is combined with how economical it is. It's clean, and it's comfortable.
- 1/5
There was some plague
- 4/5
overall great stay, room is clean, not too noisy, good breakfast, good location close to bus stop for skiers
- 3/5
The beds were not comfortable at all.
- 1/5
Horrible I stayed 4 nights had cold water the whole time called and told housekeeping and maintenance no one ever fixed it. There was college kids in room 101 my last night being so loud and drunk and banging around till 4am. The first 3 nights there were workers staying in the room next me blaring Spanish music as well drunk being loud till all hours and first thing in the morning to and all outside my room being so disrespectful. The girl with dak long hair with glasses young at the front desk always her eys
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Perfect
- 4/5
It was a good experience. Photos were better than reality but it was clean, everything was ready on time and checking in/out was smooth.
- 5/5
Great check in. The room was spacious and the bed were wonderful. Couldn’t hear traffic noise. We had a room next to the stairs and it was quite noisy. But we gave it a five star, as it is a good value for the money.
- 3/5
It was fine for what it was.
- 5/5
Breakfast Menu was okay. Did not experience the hot tub.
- 1/5
The pictures shown are not true. It is a very underwhelming motel with a decoration style like self-storage warehouses.
- 4/5
The room was clean and made up each day. Staff were pleasant.
- 1/5
Not a family place! Lots of men staying to work. They partied all night and then the police banged on our door at 1:00am waking us up. They had guns drawn as someone had called in saying they heard a disturbance! The police apologized and said must be the wrong room. We left at 5:30am because men were coming out of their rooms and banging on other doors to wake each other up to leave. No manager on duty and they would not return my phone call.
- 5/5
Family kitchenette suite was spacious.
- 4/5
Took awhile to find a parking place....other than that good place to stay...
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 4/5
Love the cleanliness. Cleanest hotel we’ve been in lately.
- 3/5
The room needs updated.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. Hot tub was fine.
- 5/5
Very Nice stay and hot breakfast is great
- 5/5
Staff were helpful. Food was limited but there are good options around. Clean and overall well maintained facilities.
- 2/5
Too close to road, no soap in dispensers, duvets dirty and horrible pillows. Pool had so much chlorine eyes burned just being in the room.
- 3/5
Room was okay but dirty. Floors were so dirty and made socks black.
- 5/5
Clean spacious family suite
- 5/5
Reception is very friendly
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Good rooms
- 5/5
Good breakfast: eggs and salsa, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit.
- 5/5
Our room was spacious and clean. The reception staff is always so nice and accommodating! Breakfast room was well-stocked. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with great service all around (from reception staff to housekeeping and breakfast room attendant. We've recommended
- 5/5
Friendly
- 5/5
Even though this place is older, it’s so clean. We had just came from a different hotel and the superior cleanliness of Cedarlodge stood out to us. It was a breath of fresh air.
- 4/5
Room was fairly small but that's what I expected. The facility itself was fine.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, clean room, hot tub and sauna were a perfect plus on a snowy day
- 4/5
Good place to stay
- 5/5
This was our second stay here on our way back home at the end of our holiday road trip. Last minute reservation as the highway closed due to weather related accident in the canyon. Easy check in, friendly and helpful staff, the pool and hot tub were nice with a 4 year old after the long day of driving.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. There was also locked bike and ski storage, which was great for the mountain bike that we brought with. The suite with the kitchen was very spacious and gave us a nice place to eat our meals. We would definitely go back!
- 5/5
Solid little spot. Good location and price.
- 5/5
the stuff and the people that work there are so nice and the room was clean and they check in the morning to clean my room and they ask if we need anything else and parking lot is safe this is my second Thanksgiving that i spend on this hotel and my kids love it

- 5/5
Loved our short one evening stay here on our way west for a road trip. Clean rooms, spacious, comfortable beds. Price was great and we lined the 2 room family room set up. Pool and hot tub were clean and fun!
- 5/5

Yes
- 1/5
They didn’t let me check in because there was an issue with the card. We were using a different one, but the lady at the front was really rude and didn’t explain it appropriately. She even raised her voice at us.
- 5/5
Exelente
- 5/5
It was all good
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff
- 2/5
The bedroom was adequate and tidy, but the walls were paper thin. I could hear two distinct conversations from neighboring rooms in the bathroom and bedroom. I had to turn on the AC fan to drown out the noise, and to do that I had to reset the circuit breaker for the AC. Only one tiny window in the bedroom which only looked out over the rest of the hotel complex and afforded no view of the spectacular mountain views available in this beautiful valley. The only reason I didn't give this place 1-Star is because it was the cheapest hotel in town. AVOID unless you're only interested in a cheap night's stay.
- 4/5
Was more like a motel than marketed. I enjoyed my stay but it was a bit dated and could use some updates.
- 5/5
Clean room, hot tub worked. Quiet place and got a wonderful night of sleep (better sleep than I got while staying in Aspen)!
- 5/5
Good service. Room was clean and well maintained.
- 5/5
Good hot breakfast. Nice selection. N/A hot tub.
- 5/5
Room was organized and spotless... Fresh towels etc each day I stayed. I'll be back next time I'm in Glenwood
- 5/5
The rooms were updated, good beds, super clean, no carpets. Breakfast room is very small if hotel is full but the servers were nice and patient and we took our food back to our room as there was nowhere to sit.
- 5/5
I love the Cedar Lodge. Although not flashy, it is affordable, clean, well kept, and quiet. Convenient to amenities.
- 5/5
clean rooms, friendly staff, and close to everything
- 4/5
A basic motel. Staff was very friendly. Had a convenient room for bike storage. Standard breakfast fare. No negative issues at all.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Check-in/check-out was very easy. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Very cool old school motel.
- 4/5
The coffee in the room was awful. Everything else was quite nice.
- 5/5
Haven't done breakfast or hotub
- 4/5
Kin at check in was fantastic. Lots of people at once checking in, she was efficient, very pleasant and gave us great ideas of where to eat. Frida’s is superb!
- 5/5
Great. Clean spacious rooms. Great value.
- 5/5
What a great place to stay and do all you adventures in Glenwood Springs!
- 5/5
I loved this place. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, I was only there for the night. But I recommend it!
- 4/5
They took our dirty towels, but did not replace him with new ones. We had to go ahead and go to the office and request that so.
- 2/5
The place not great, locks old fashion. Bed not good and its too hot. I wont recommend it.
- 3/5
N/A
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and room clean and comfortable. AC was a little noisy but not to bothersome. We passed on breakfast because it was so busy.
- 4/5
No frills, clean and quiet. Couldn't park right outside our room, breakfast was adequate.
- 4/5
This is a solid option for a place with decent rooms, a pool, a hot tub, a sauna, and a basic breakfast. The folks are nice. The rooms have a good amount of space, assuming the one we got was representative. The rooms could use better lighting. You may have to use your cell phone light to look into your bag to find things. The shower was adequate, but the water flow seemed a bit weak. All in all, if you are using this for a base for other activities, it will likely be good enough.
- 3/5
The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was well displayed and had a nice variety. The facility is old and noisy. The bed and pillows were lumpy.
- 5/5
This is always our go-to place when we are traveling in the area. Clean, convenient, reasonably priced.
- 4/5
The only knock on the property is the super thin walls and noise level from other rooms.
- 5/5
Room was clean, the only thing that I will change are the towels in the badroom, they are old, staff was great!
- 4/5
A little dates but that's part of its charm. The breakfast was simple and all cold options but better than nothing. A small ways from downtown but close enough. Good for the price.
- 5/5
The entire property was well maintained. The rooms are spotless with plenty of outlets for phones, tablets, watches, etc.
- 5/5
Room had space and was very comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Excellent breakfast for a Continental Style.
- 3/5
Quick checkin, clean room ,mattresses were ok ,but kinda firm for our taste.enjoyed hot coffee, But,no where in any review did I see there isnt an elevator. Granted two floors but if you have trouble with stairs as my wife does,id discuss that.i didnt.not to seem picky but the little fridge had a high pitched wine off and on all night.good value though overall.
- 4/5
Easy access to surrounding areas.
- 5/5
Everything's a little dated, but for our stay, we had a nice stay and everything was clean and as it should be
- 5/5
Nice and clean and good value.
- 4/5
Pools and hot tub weren’t open
- 4/5
Overall very nice stay. The mattress was old and much too soft though.
- 5/5
The front-desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was SUPER clean and nice. It’s an older facility but very well maintained. Lots of room in the room.
- 3/5
clean room
- 4/5
The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is excellent, and the whole place stays quiet and relaxing. For the price, it’s a solid value in the area, and I’ll definitely continue staying here when I’m back in Glenwood Springs.
- 4/5
Every thing was pretty nice. I didn't like that the front desk person would not allow me to use the hotel printer. Other than that it was all good.
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
This was nice, clean. Weird thing was bathroom counter top cut so wide that toilet seat lid would not stay up and was against your back when seated (and we are not big people). Also, no hooks at all for towels and soap dispensers were empty. Fine for an overnight
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet, the staff was extremely kind and courteous.
- 2/5
Sink faucet needed to be fixed. Toilet backed up. No elevators or disability accomodations. Very limited continental breakfast selections.
- 4/5
Nice breakfast set up also.
- 4/5
This was a sisters trip - 5 sisters together - luckily we had a family suite! It was nice to have a separate air conditioner for each room. Beds were comfortable, it was unique to be handed an actual key to the room. Breakfast was disappointing - continental breakfast with no hot foods (I don't count instant oatmeal as hot food). Central location to venture to Aspen (which we did) or Vail (which we didn't)
- 3/5
Room was clean. An older property. Disappointed we couldn’t secure our bikes in the room. We had to put them in another outside room with an open door that was accessible to anyone until 9:00 pm. We didn’t feel it was safe.
- 5/5
Value for money
- 4/5
Only complaint is TV was not working, which was probably more a Comcast issue. Called the front desk and they sent up the maintenance man almost immediately, and he got it to work for a while. Otherwise a very nice stay.
- 4/5
Staff was helpful and property was clean and well maintained.
- 5/5
We had a great stay, breakfast was a nice bonus
- 4/5
The front desk folks could be a bit nicer, as well.
- 3/5
Rooms were clean and neat. Bed was ok for one night. Would not want to do two or three nights on it.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 4/5
Okay place for a night. Limited breakfast in too small a space considering the number of rooms.
- 5/5
The gentleman that does the continental breakfast was super friendly and kind. Loved the swimming pool and hot tub super clean. The rooms were clean but check the corners also saw one little ant. The front desk worker really needs to up her customer service skills. We checked in on 9/25/25 not friendly had an attitude. We asked her one question about transportation wasn't too friendly. She needs to smile and at least provide directions or help customers that are just visiting the area.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Over all it was really a very good stay. My only suggestion is to update their address in the website because we went to a wrong hotel at first but they were so kind to give us the correct address of Cedar Lodge. And they even made a remark ‘ this happens a lot so don’t you worry’
- 4/5
This was a very basic room at a good value. Room was clean, could use a few fixes like a leaking soap dispenser, broken blind, but overall comfortable and those things were not a big deal given the good housekeeping and cleanliness of the room. I liked that there was a little dining table, which was convenient. For the price, this was a great value. Good location. Staff was nice during check in and check out. Only drawback was that the parking lot is not well lit, not a straightforward layout and given the many vehicles in there, was a little difficult to maneuver late at night when I arrived. The lack of lighting was also a safety concern, I felt a little on edge as a solo female traveler coming in later in the evening. Overall this was a great value hotel and a good option if you’re looking for budget friendly and clean.
- 4/5
Nice room and nice area. Microwave was janky and I couldn't open the door without unplugging it, for some reason. Coffee maker in the room had coffee but no cream or sugar. No conditioner or lotion in the room. But other than that, no complaints. Was a good place to stay.
- 2/5
It’s simple. The stay wasn’t worth the price.
- 5/5
Great place, well cared for. Wonderful staff. The only thing that could use improvement would be the wifi, because cell was weak as well in that location. We were in a room along the back section, and it was pretty hard to look anything up.
- 5/5
Room and staff were Wonderful! Will be back!!
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Easy walk to 19th Street Diner.
- 4/5
My bed cover with the orange/red color was dirty.
- 4/5
Nice area on side of hotel to watch the birds drink from the fountain and relax.
- 2/5
The price was great! and it was really clean and tidy! But dated and repaint please update with Some bright colors at least!
- 2/5
It was just a old cheap hotel
- 5/5
Great room
- 5/5
Everything was great, especially location. Pool could be open a little later and the free cont. breakfast could have a little more than the usuall drinks, bagels, cold cereals, and hard boiled eggs.
- 5/5
We loved the simplicity and cleanliness of this property and the friendliness of the staff. It is within walking distance of a lot of shopping and sightseeing opportunities.
- 4/5
Loved the gardens
- 2/5
The shower smelled like urine. Use to enjoy staying here now I don’t
- 4/5
Nice pool, good breakfast and convenient location.
- 5/5
We chose this hotel as a place to sleep the night before a three day backpacking trip. Wasn't sure what to expect because the nightly rate was not super high. This hotel was pleasantly surprising as it was very clean, staff were very nice and it was very quiet. As we were driving back from the three day backpacking trip, we were too exhausted to drive all the way to Denver and because we had such a great experience the first time we decided to go ahead and just stay again and as the first time, we had a great experience! Clean room, clean swimming, pool, clean hot tub, clean parking lot, pretty outside sitting areas and very nice front desk staff!
- 5/5
Lovely landscaping!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Housekeeping service was excellent. The location is perfect. Just a short drive to down town. We visited several places on our week long trip to Colorado. This was our favorite.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. I was really surprised how nice the room was for the price. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great property, good price!!
- 5/5
Wonderful landscape. Comfy room. Good local. Quiet. Good pricd
- 5/5
Have stayed at The Cedar Lodge multiple times and always have the best experience. Favorite place to stay in Glenwood Springs
- 5/5
Cute property. A bit old but charming.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean but very old. Bed was not very comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Very helpful for late check-in. Room was very clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
Main burner on stove broken. Table chairs were made of metal and sized for children. Staff were okay but in no way over friendly. Ice machine is there but if you want some there are no ice buckets. Take a cup. No hotel information available in rooms so take a pic of the sample at the front desk. Being of my age I don't need to be told that marijuana is illegal to use on their property. They tell this to everyone but personally I found it disrespectful.
- 4/5
Clean and well kept facilities.
- 3/5
Check-in desk staff was not particularly friendly. Asked for an early check-in, and was not given, despite our room seemingly unoccupied the previous night. No elevator and no suites in ground floor. Otherwise ok.
- 4/5
Comfortable beds, and a mini fridge.
- 3/5
We had a quick trip and needed somewhere to lay our heads. It’s definitely dated but was clean and staff at check in was very nice. It was also nice not to sit in any additional traffic getting back to downtown Glenwood Springs.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great, they had different option so you can enjoy!
- 5/5
The property was carefully maintained with beautiful flowers everywhere!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, lots of close parking, great breakfast
- 1/5
Would not let us check in early.
- 1/5
I’m not shady and no reason to suspect I’m going to steal or cause damage- they can just keep a card on file. Ruined my plans for the next day because I was $100 short waiting for them to return it.
- 3/5
Convenient to hanging lake.
- 5/5
Nice property
- 5/5
Great place, very nice pools and beautiful garden area.
- 5/5
Everyone friendly
- 4/5
It was just what we needed
- 3/5
I was disappointed that the property looks more like a roadside motel than a resort.
- 5/5
I will stay in this hotel again it was super clean easy to find good price nice people at front desk confy beds
- 5/5
As advertised
- 5/5
Good stay nice area
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Hôtel was clean, nice location, very quiet, front desk clerks were friendly and quick
- 3/5
A sub par experience.
- 5/5
Absolutely gorgeous property! This is and will always be my go-to
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. Pools clean. Good breakfast. We will be return.
- 4/5
It was actually a very pleasant stay. The place is very clean and the people were very friendly. It's just old. Old rooms, old bathrooms, old beds, nothing fancy. We liked it.
- 4/5
Needs major update
- 5/5
Place is clean and nice. Staff helped us find a parking spot as the place was booked full. Pool and everything was nice.
- 3/5
They charged us for parking and breakfast, which is ok but we all got sick for that beck fast.
- 5/5
Quiet
- 1/5
we ended up leaving righy away and booked a place few miles away; they did not refund our money despite the insurance
- 3/5
Many people in the hotel, very noisy and the breakfast area did not have many options, only bread and Coffee
- 3/5
I mean.. for over $200 a night, for a three queen bed accommodation, the towels are in BAD shape. The drain in the shower was completely clogged. We had to call housekeeping a number of times. No hot water for a shower at 2:00 in the afternoon. I’ve been staying here since I was a kid, don’t think I’ll stay here again
- 5/5
Very family friendly and comfy!
- 5/5
Very clean hotel and smells good ! Need some improvement regarding breakfast choices . Maybe offering hot breakfast options !
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
Our room was ok. My husband and two kids and I paid extra for bedroom plus two queens option. The problem is the bathroom being inside the private bedroom so access is always. The bathroom was VERY small and dated. The toilet was tucked under vanity so the seat doesn’t stay up without help. The wall AC units had a hard time keeping the room cool. It was nice having a fridge and table. The breakfast is very basic but served its purpose. The inside and outside pools were kinda rough looking so we skipped swimming. It’s also on a VERY busy road so leaving can be tricky. The front desk person was very non enthusiastic - my son asked if she was sleeping at the desk. I would say this location was OK.
- 5/5
There are Beautiful flower gardens on the property. It is proximal to all the tours/activities Glenwood has to offer, but not too close. It was a quiet place to stay. Our suite was very clean. Housekeeping tidied our room and made our beds everyday. (Loved that - lots of motels/hotels don’t do that anymore) The grounds were clean as well.
- 5/5
The best hotel I stayed in Colorado.
- 3/5
The bed was uncomfortable
- 4/5
Staff treatment.
- 5/5
i had a great experience
- 5/5
Nice family run place
- 4/5
Had a good night stay at the property! Reasonably priced.
- 4/5
For an older hotel, this place was very nice. We had a trailer with a motorcycle and bicycles, and they allowed us to park next to their adjoining property, so we didn't have to unhook the trailer from our truck. The staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Bed and everything nice and clean. Only area that could be improved is the towels…some are not very white and that kinda bothers me. Beautiful grounds with patios and flowers , natural landscaping.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Our kids love the different pool options and the breakfast. The rooms are very clean.
- 3/5
Was ok.
- 3/5
Older motel but it was clean. AC was noisy but better than not having AC.
- 4/5
Has a smoking area
- 1/5
The area around the property is nasty and sketchy. Did not check in.
- 5/5
We only stay for one night, but the room was clean and it work for what we need it.
- 4/5
This property is both beautifully kept and super clean. We enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
The property didn't look anything like the posting. The hot tub wasn't hot. The indoor pool wasn't available. The outdoor pool was cold. The breakfast was minimal. Would not stay again.
- 5/5
The comfort! It’s like you perfectly stepped back in time 🙌😊
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 1/5
What is unique? Apparently Gov Polis has decided this is yet another great sanctuary for illegal immigrants and criminal gangs. The MS-13 or Tren de Aragua gangs that occupy this property were frightening. Expedia should know better. Management should not be taking reservations and certainly will not return our money. Expedia has refused as well. Stay Away!
- 4/5
Nice room
- 3/5
Try to choose the last rooms or not is going to be really noisy
- 5/5
Very clean. Everyone was kind. Everything was perfect.
- 4/5
I was disappointed with the quality of breakfast. Everything else was excellent.
- 5/5
Family friendly, convenient and indoor, outdoor pools and hot tub.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room. Awesome pool. Good location and affordable.
- 4/5
Close to restaurants
- 4/5
I liked that the indoor pool & spa were open & very clean. I liked that the 4 of us had it all to ourselves even though their rooms were full.☺️
- 5/5
The staff at Cedar Lodge were pleasant and it was nice to stay in Glenwood Springs without having to pay an arm and a leg.
- 3/5
Room was decent quality. Beds were comfortable. Fridge and microwave in room. Exterior could use some TLC
- 5/5
Everything was just fine. Nothing bad to say! 👌
- 1/5
The property was run down time share
- 5/5
great breakfast! clean smelling rooms. Kindly staff. Awesome key to the room.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Love Mary very nice lady
- 5/5
Clean rooms, good location, excellent breakfast
- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 4/5
Decent accommodations for the price.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, clean, pleasant staff. Convenient to other things in the area
- 1/5
Not what it was made out to be.
- 5/5
The staff were the nicest people, they saw that we had a baby and asked if we needed a crib.
- 5/5
I usually try to stay here whenever I come to the valley. Price is reasonable & it's a good location for me.
- 5/5
This place is great! This is the second time we stay here and we love it!
- 2/5
Price
- 5/5
Comfy bed. Clean linens. Clean room. Could use some updating. Sink didn’t drain well. Breakfast attendant was excellent. Breakfast was toast bagels donuts cereal. There were hard boiled eggs. Juices coffee even had some instant decaf. Yes I’d stay again because the price was right only issue was we couldn’t park outside our room. Too many rooms not enough spots because it’s two story.
- 3/5
Good to have indoor pool and hot spa. Breakfast is ok. But the room is very old the bath towels all too old look like they were being used for millions times.the bed make noise when turning and the air conditioning is very noisy. For the rate I paid to Expedia, little too high for that kind of room. The staff are nice.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and we were greeted with smiles when checking in and out. Thank you!
- 4/5
Continental breakfast was great. bed comfy. Room was clean. However, Front Desk Mariana was not friendly. She did not give details of the stay like check out and breakfast time. Just handed me one metal key and when asked about the room #, “it says in the key”. She’s rude I should say.
- 5/5
nice staff
- 5/5
Pretty good overall
- 4/5
We requested a room on the liwer level as I have bad knees. We were given room 141. It was right next to the stairwell. We experienced loud noise as guests went up and down constantly. I just wouldn't recommend that room unless it was the last one available and warn the guest.
- 3/5
We have stayed here several times and it remains decent enough. However not only were the towels all stained, they were also thread bare and even had holes. There is no longer conditioner or even lotion, just terrible dispenser soap. It was extraordinarily busy and therefore quite loud. The staff is friendly but we did miss the chairs that are usually outside. Seems a bit run down these days but pretty clean still.
- 3/5
Lodge is showing its age. Still use metal keys. Breakfast choice is lacking.
- 4/5
Affordable and a great little stop for 1 night. Would definitely like to see the pool in the summer
- 5/5
Very clean, nice place for a weary traveler. The staff was exceptional- she walked me through the process of getting my reservation through Expedia straight since I accidentally booked the room for the following day. That was so helpful
- 5/5
friendly
- 4/5
Nice place to stop for the night. Light continental style breakfast. Friendly staff. In the summer, this would be a good place to relax at for a couple of days.
- 5/5
Great happy staff
- 5/5
Breakfast was good, lots of amenities, good location and good prices
- 5/5
very clean
- 5/5
Great rate and clean.
- 5/5
Standard motel with comfortable beds, clean room and easy accessible parking
- 5/5
Favorite place to stay when visiting Glenwood Springs. Affordable and always exceptionally clean!
- 5/5
Have stayed at this property muliple times and have never had an issue. Rooms are always exceptionally clean and check-in staff are always super pleasant!
- 5/5
El servicio fue excelente! La Srta de recepción muy amable. Y el área muy céntrica.
- 5/5
Beautiful nice pool and cheap
- 5/5
We love the old timey simplicity of this property. It is clean, well managed, and orderly. The rooms are spacious with a large refrigerator and microwave. The hot tub and sauna are relaxing after an active day. And the continental breakfast is well run with a great guy who makes the morning fun!
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
It was as good as it could it could be for the price.
- 5/5
Convenient location and clean rooms
- 5/5
Very quiet and clean rooms. Staff also very friendly.
- 4/5
Great service and clean lodge to stay and visit Glennwood Spring. Everyone was very attentive and provided great customer service.
- 5/5
Spectacular
- 3/5
Beds were noisy metal aprings
- 4/5
The room definitely fit our needs. We came for 3 nights with our 4 grandkids, ages 5-10. Our room had 3 beds. They loved the pool. We had them shower there after swimming. The breakfast suited our needs. Well stocked, attractively displayed, constantly monitored & refilled by a very polite, attentive, thought gentleman. The location was right next to the bus stop so we were able to get around easily. The local bus system is free with minimal walking to local attractions like downtown shopping, the hot springs, the adventure park, a grocery store.
- 5/5
Great but not like web pics
- 3/5
They said no. No interest in helping us out. Just a lady at the front desk whose attitude is she wished she wasn’t there and she wished we weren’t there either. Wont return
- 4/5
The room was very clean and nice. The staff was helpful with all my needs and wants. I would definitely recommend this place.
- 3/5
The place was very clean and comfortable but there was no hot water when we went to take a shower both nights we stayed. After soaking in the hot springs, it was really necessary to take a shower and we suffered through it but wish it would have been warm. In the morning the hot water returned so maybe they shut it off at night? Something to be aware of it you have opposite hours like us
- 1/5
People above us have been loud for hours it’s 150 am I’ve tried calling front desk but no one answers an the phone in our room don’t work an there running around above us stomping an making tons of noise worse experience ever
- 3/5
Very noisy, old, won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
Pretty decent property for the price.
- 5/5
It was a great place to stay, staff interactions were pleasant especially breakfast gentleman! The only thing I would recommend are hooks to hang towels and coats! Great stay!
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay, would stay again.
- 5/5
Good choice!
- 5/5
me gusto mucho, el servicio, la atencion, la locacion. lo recomiendo.
- 5/5
It was on the main drag, which was a drag. Everything was as expected, except the neighboring room's shower sounded like a 747 taking off. Otherwise, great!
- 5/5
Clean and up to date. Great value! Will return.
- 4/5
The staff were all really helpful and when we went to use the shower outside the pool it wouldn’t warm up, someone heard us and spent minutes fixing the water to get it warm for us and made sure we had fresh towels. The check out clerks were both pleasant and kind and all of the house keeping staff smiled at me in the morning during check out. Comfortable bed, and good heating / cooling system. Thanks for the stay.
- 5/5
great location in town, nice room with free breakfast. A man that worked there cleaned the snow off my car which was very nice.
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Quiet location away from the highway & bustle of the tourist area.
- 5/5
It was s modest lodge and very clean. The room was cleaned every day, the bed was comfortable, the towels were changed and it is very conveniently located!
- 4/5
The cedar lodge in Glenwood is a great value. The property is old and worn, but for $90 a night or so, my wife and I will continue to go back. All of the staff are wonderful.
- 2/5
No hot water in shower Overpriced Horrible beds
- 4/5
Nothing fancy, but an excellent value. Clean, quiet, good breakfast bar. Staff is very helpful!
- 5/5
Very cute and quaint. Basic but very clean and exactly what we needed. Staff very friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Excellent value for skiing at Aspen, 35 miles away. Room was clean, breakfast was good and well stocked, and it was great having a pool, hot tub and sauna to relax in after skiing. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Good cost effective hotel in a very pricey area near skiing.
- 2/5
There was no sitting area, the stove and fridge were half-sized, and the very small bathroom had the toilet wedged under a countertop, so the lid didn't even stay open on its own. The bathroom was also inside the second bedroom, which was less than convenient for privacy. To top it off, the room lacked a functioning heating system. Both the main and secondary room had baseboards which did not work. The main room had a blower which took 4-5 hours to get the room up near 70°; the second bedroom did not have its own separate heater, and so it never got above 65°. This also makes it pointless to have a second bedroom, as you can't close the door (without freezing even more).
- 5/5
Great value for the price. Room was clean and was well kept. Fresh paint and new flooring. Certainly not a “fancy” property but we would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 4/5
Convenient location, easy accessible, clean rooms, and friendly staff.
- 5/5
The room with the kitchenette had plenty of room and we loved the bedroom.
- 5/5
We had a great stay and be would definitely go back.
- 3/5
Needs a little TlC
- 4/5
Great little property reasonably priced in the middle of a lot of attractions. The pool, sauna, hot tub were awesome. The only thing I would have liked more is at breakfast some kind of meat!! Being from Texas,ya gotta have meat at breakfast!
- 4/5
Second year staying here for a ski weekend. It gets the job done for a reasonable price. Beds are quite comfortable. Only thing is that the walls and floor/ceilings are pretty thin so we suggest bringing earplugs.
- 5/5
One of the best affordable properties i stayed in Glennwood Springs
- 5/5
Conveniently located clean and comfortable spot to stay in Glenwood Springs.
- 4/5
Extremely well cared for property. Room was as clean as any nice hotel I’ve stayed in, pool/hot tub was very clean and buildings in excellent condition. Continental breakfast was very well done. Constant attention to cleaning tables and crumbs, food restocked all morning. I’ve never seen so much attention to breakfast area. Friendly staff and enjoyable stay.
- 4/5
Lots of room comfortable lovely staff. Road noise and other guests noisy. Breakfast very good. Pool and spa clean
- 5/5
Great value for money with good continental breakfast
- 5/5
Great and cozy place to stay!
- 3/5
Room was small. Bed was soft
- 5/5
Everything good
- 5/5
Nice affordable place that we’ve been staying at for over 20 years.
- 5/5
It had everything we needed at a fair price
- 4/5
We stayed here for two nights in January of 2025 to ski Snowmass and Aspen Highlands. Overall, for the price and location (35-45 minutes to Aspen resorts) you really can't beat the Cedar Lodge in Glenwood Springs. While it it is by no means fancy, for the price, I found the experience to be worthwhile. Rooms were clean, heat worked well, and bathroom functioned as it should. The hot tub and sauna were added bonuses, although the free breakfast left a lot to be desired. Overall, I would recommend this!
- 5/5
I liked the convenience of location and the view.
- 4/5
Check in was easy enough but the desk attendant wasn't all that attentive. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely good for the price.
- 4/5
This is a great little place to stay for the night. Clean room, and the price is right.
- 3/5
Na
- 4/5
The AC was out so our room was very hot unfortunately aside from that and noise of people walking by our room it was a fine place to stay for the night.
- 3/5
nice breakfast busy road easy walk to Starbucks
- 4/5
Feels like dusty
- 5/5
This place was fantastic. Can’t beat the price for value. It was super clean, room was dated but in good working order. The staff were awesome. Great breakfast options. Will be staying here again for sure.
- 5/5
Good
