I was traveling with my cat, Lukas, who is extremely fearful and insecure in unfamiliar environments. During our stay, he managed to hide deep inside the compartment between the mattress and the bed frame. To make matters more challenging, our room has two queen beds and he would quietly move from one bed to the other whenever we thought we had located him. Candace and Kim went above and beyond to help search for him. They patiently assisted with moving and checking around the beds, knowing that getting him out would likely require lifting and shifting the heavy bed frame. It was a stressful situation for me, but their calm demeanor, compassion, and willingness to help made all the difference. After quite an adventure, we finally managed to get Lukas out when he became too tired to continue his hiding game. Looking back, I am incredibly thankful for the support Candace and Kim provided during a very anxious moment. Excellent customer service is often measured by how staff respond when unexpected situations arise, and Candace and Kim demonstrated genuine care and professionalism. Thanks to them both for helping reunite a worried cat owner with her beloved companion. Their kindness will not be forgotten.

The staff are very friendly and helpful but the state of the property is TERRIBLE. Stains on walls, holes in walls, window curtain torn and hanging, water leaking in the tub that can't be turned off and a weird smell /cigarette smell in the room. Carpet is gross. The building NEEDS UPDATING and FIXING. You have good people working here. Fix up the property! Wont stay here again but its entirely because of the state of the hotel. Staff are great.

Horrible. This hotel is in very poor condition: the room smelled of cigarette smoke despite being non-smoking, the pool has been closed for renovations for a long time, and the property appears neglected throughout. Torn curtains, stained bedding and carpet, damaged bathroom wallpaper, cracked tiles made this one the most disappointing hotel stays we've had. We will never come back

Lightning was horrible. I think they had 45watt bulbs. No room darkening curtain, only a rice paper light curtain covering window right above AC unit, so when AC was blowing, it blew open the curtain so room was exposed to outside grounds. Shower wall was deteriorating & patched with Gorilla Tape covering holes & taping wallpaper in place.

I called to confirm with the property that my reservation was canceled. I spoke with Expedia who shared they would reach out but I wanted to be safe and follow up. I spoke with Barbra, who was amazing. Actually someone who should be running the place after my experience. She advised I call in the morning and speak with Mike or Kim - the managers on site. Unfortunately she wasn’t familiar with policy as she’s new and still in training. I called the next morning to connected with Kim. I explained that my dad had passed away and I needed to cancel my reservation. She shared that unfortunately my boyfriend called prior so she isn’t able to cancel it. We would be charged for 1 night. I was later not only charged for the first night, I was also separately charged (authorization request from Kim’s processing) in the amount of the full stay ($465+). I called to address this matter and Kim claimed I wasn’t charged. What Kim doesn’t know is they both me and my boyfriend have experience as managers in hospitality. She certainly didn’t have to authorized the card on file for the full amount of the stay since we had not checked in AND considering occupancy she wouldn’t have an issue booking the room at a prime rate even for a walk in. I would like for this experience to encourage a reward or recognition for an employee like Barbra and training and development for Kim. Thanks in advance.

The hotel is in the process of a much needed renovation. The staff is doing well with what they have to work with, but I would not stay again in the near future. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but in need of repair. For less than 12 hours it was fine for the price.

I booked several hotel rooms over a busy weekend. Half of my reservation was cancelled because the hotel had overbooked, it left us having to struggle to find another hotel - and pay double what the cost of what we had originally booked. One member of our group checked in to the Comfort Inn for a 4 night stay, but had to leave after the first night because the smell of smoke was too strong. The hotel is not a smoke free property, there is smoking in other rooms, and the smell permeates the hotel, no matter how much air freshner they spray. Do not stay here if you don't smoke, seriously.

Room was filthy, stained sheets and pillows. The breakfast was disgusting, no drinks other then water. And they put oranges in said water and it tasted like pinesole. The pool was closed completely. Staff was useless. We reported issues with the room when we first arrived. Broken door lock, shower curtain rod ripped out of wall, couldn't change tv channel. No one bothered to come try and fix anything. I will never stay at this cheap ass run down hotel. I've had better stays at motel 6 on the side of highways then this place. Oh and before i forget, no one even came to change out garbage bags. We stayed for a weekend and the only reason trash was taken out was because we took it down to the dumpster. And they couldn't even be bothered to come do a turn down and remake the beds or change out towels. So yeah no thank you about this bs place.

I usually stay at this place when I travel to Hamburg. I was totally shocked to see how much the hotel has gone down hill. From the moment I walked in the place it did not have the same clean appearance I’m used to. The check in wasn’t as smooth as it normally is. When I walked into my room it had a covered up cigarette smoke smell. I found the window broken, which I reported to the front desk where I was meet with an attitude of no big deal. When I went down for breakfast the area was dirty. I went to get some juice only to find out that the machine was removed. I asked the front desk about getting juice, was told the machine was broken. Again I got the feeling that they did not care. In closing I will not be staying at this establishment and will not be recommending it to anyone staying in the area, as I have in the past. Totally unacceptable

Convenience When I checked in and went to my room, the door was wide open. The pillows were all on one bed. There was no mini fridge even though there was a space for it. Both beds were broken and tilted sideways when you got too close to one side the hallway smelled like a sewage leak and there was construction going on.

Noisy location as it's next to Red roof inn which allows loud music late at night. Stink bugs found in room, plus some dead bugs in the corner. Juice machine broken, no milk cartons or juice boxes substituted. Parts of hotel are under construction, & no ice on 2nd floor. Staff was nice.

Beneath the bed, there were large wood splinter pieces They required that I provide a physical credit card as opposed to a digital card in case of overages, which was inconvenient since I’m mostly digital. I checked in very late, but they could only accommodate me for 30 minutes over checkout time. Not the best value for the buck. I’ll tell more like a 2 1/2 to 2 star.

I have been staying at this hotel for 5 years. It has gotten worse every year. Dirty, stains on the carpet, outlets dont work, flashing light in main entrance was flashing in November still flashing in March. Someone elses food frozen in my freezer. Pool and vending machines broken for months. They have run this place into the ground.

I felt very bad for the staff at this motel, the main reason I booked there was I had my 10 year old grandson with me who was excited about the pool. When we checked in we were told the pool was closed indefinitely. Never posted on the website!!! We were asked if we wanted a refund but I was there on business and had limited time to rebook a hotel. The room was clean and staff was very nice.

I was informed of it as soon as I checked in. There were no other rooms available with a Working hot Tub for me to switch to. I was disappointed in that fact. But, I didn’t let that ruin a great weekend with friends. I wasn’t offered any kind discount or coupon, Just a “sorry about that.” Good time after all.

The pool was empty and looked like it had been for a long time with no repair happening to it. The vending machines were empty, the toilet easily clogged and they told me we couldn't have five in a room even though we booked five in the room. Don't believe the pictures of this place. It is a bait and switch. The only redeeming part was the breakfast. We left in the morning as fast as we could.

The main reason we stayed here was because of the pool. It was closed. I'd also accidentally booked two rooms and, totally my fault, wasn't able to get any sort of refund or discount or anything for the second unused room. I ended up paying a LOT of money for a two night stay with my already slightly ill-behaved kids with no pool that I'd promised them...whew. Brutal trip.

Staff were great. Very helpful and friendly. The issue is with the accomodations. My room was threadbare and needs a refresh. Stains on the carpet and holes in the wall of the shower stall are two areas to address. The vending machines on the first floor were either empty of product or not functional. Also the walk wasn't shoveled. Probably wouldn't stay again.

Nothing, it was dirty, old and run down. Bathtub was broken, toilets barely flushed dirty and roach infested. Broken tub, coffee was supposed to be available 24hrs out of the week we were there only twice was brewed coffee available, the red was instant and tasted terrible. Dirty, asked to get room cleaned they stated they would check see if they had housekeepers available. Tried to checkout early but because we booked with third party I would have lost my money, which brings me to the amount charged which for what it was we way over paid. Miserable place. Stay away! I told them they needed to close and start over.

For a relatively inexpensive hotel this place had a nice spacious and clean room, the hotel was also quiet, and the bed very comfortable. The evening staff was very nice as well. The only small issues are that the room doesn't have a microwave, the water pressure of the shower wasn't the greatest and the hairdryer in the wall wasn't working. I would still return to this hotel in the future.

We had a few issues. Staff was nice but breakfast was disappointing. The first day, no coffee; second day no eggs or sausage or coffee. More seriously, we got ice and snow and the parking lot was not cleared. We were seeing an impending storm coming and were not comfortable with not being able go to our vehicle or safely walk. We informed the front desk we were not wanting to stay and checked out on Saturday but have not received a refund. Lack of breakfast:coffee and lack of care for property/lot. Stained linens. But with impending dangerous weather we decided we needed to go.

This was my second stay here this week and was a great stay, both times Amanda and the Man working Saturday Dec 20 amazing, efficient and friendly workers. Unfortunately the hot tub suite was unavailable but the Nirmal King Suite is great too and roughly 50usd less so yes it was a slight disappointment to not get the room I requested but I get things happen sometimes. Breakfast was great and area and amenities in the facility are great such as the pool and fitness centre as well as vending machines, free drinking water downstairs and comfortable lobby. Had some issues regarding checkout in the morning and am hoping this can be resolved as I was planning to return this week and if this issue cannot be resolved in a simple manner I will not feel compelled to come back to the same location. Besides that, very pleasant stay.

Upon checking, we were given room keys. We attempted to get into our room three times, each time the keys were recalibrated at the front desk. On the third try, the front desk attempted to lock in the door, and it still didn't work. The attendant used the master key and it worked, however the keys for us still did not. We were completely turned off with this and the agent promised to give us a refund which I will be following up on now. The room was also filthy and clearly had not been cleaned and the pull out couch was missing the mattress. You will see we reserved a room at another hotel and have arrived comfortably.

All of the maintenance was deferred the hot water burned us every time we got into the shower. It was horrible upon the smell, walking through the hallways where someone must live there and cook their dinner breakfast and lunch in the upper rooms. It was horrible. I hated the hotel and I wish I never Stayed there. I would not recommend this to my enemy.

Hotel has the amenities you will need, however, it very much gives more of a motel than a hotel. The rooms smell of mildew with clear water damage in bathrooms. The doors to our rooms also wouldn’t close/open properly without extreme effort. Good for a short quick stay, but would not recommend if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room.

One of our beds were broken upon entering the room & the closet door was rigged so it took us a while to figure it why it wouldn’t close. The room phone did not work and we had multiple issues with not being able to get into our room because the key stopped working every single time we left out. My fiancé later found out that the key wasn’t being replaced but just being swiped to be turned back on for the room as if our cards were purposely being tuned off. Due to us being busy with family, we didn’t care to report it. Hopefully, in the future we’re able to find another hotel in close proximity to the stadium and to our family. Lastly, I held my hand out to receive my card and ID upon checking in and held my hand out to receive extra face cloths & towels but the representative constantly placed them on the dirty counter. I feel that it very disrespectful, as I placed items in her hand.

There was no breakfast available due to limited staffing. Called day prior to arrange my parents to check in ahead of me. Filled out all forms, called the hotel was reassured they would be able to. Then the were denied when they tried. Room had a leaking toilet and an unknown leak and when brought to management attention their solution was to carpet clean or get a refund and go somewhere else.

Every employee we interacted with was beyond amazing. My family and I were visiting from the Albany area for the Buffalo Bills game. We didn't have a chance to check into the hotel before the game so we called the front desk to let them know we would be checking in after the game. The man who answered the phone was great and made sure to leave a note on our reservation to let the next shift know that we would be checking in very late and not to give our room away as a no-show. We didn't end up getting to the hotel until after 1:00am and the staff was ready for us. We got checked right in and we were in our room in no time. The woman at the front desk was so polite and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Our room was clean but it wasn't very comfortable. We came with two adults and two teenage siblings (a boy and a girl) so we needed three total places to sleep. The room with the two full beds and a pullout couch seemed like it would be perfect. The room wasn't equipped with extra sheets or pillows for the pullout couch. The front desk staff helped us with that promptly. The couch turned out to be a mattress that seemed to only contain springs. It was not a comfortable piece of furniture to sleep on at all. The beds were not great but not too bad. The only other complaint was that the window in the room was cracked and the "fix" was a piece of tape over the length of the crack. Customer service was superb but hotel could use some help with the comfort part.

Everything about the room felt dirty. The room smelled and the carpet was so dirty that you would have to keep your shoes on. The bathroom floor really needs a good scrub. Stink bugs kept popping up in our room. Room smelled like urine. Front desk person is very passive aggressive handling her job. She was on her phone and felt like she was avoiding customer service.

Got there to check in but was informed that my reservation was canceled no notification at all. Very upsetting and created a huge problem after traveling to get there. Will never stay in a Comfort Inn again!!!!

Desk staff tried to assist but has no power. Room smelled of burning/smoldering plastic or electrical fire. So bad we developed physical symptoms. Was told we could not have another room even though hotel was not full. Was told we could not receive a refund. Left after 20 minutes and went to La Quinta. Do NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I was very disappointed in this property. I booked 2 days September 6-7 for $133.00 per night. Subsequently the NFL schedule was released. About 3 weeks later, I recieved a call that said I would not be accomodated because of "renovations". I went online immediately and saw that I could still book a room at the hotel. The caveat is that now they were booking for $200 plus dollars more than I had reserved for. It was clear to me that my room had been taken so that they could charge a higher price since a game was in town. Really bad business not to honor committments. Will never book a Comfort Inn again

Did not honor booking with Expedia Once they learned their was a major event on the date I booked they cancelled 50 reservations They told me this when I attempted to check in Of course there was no available hotels for last minute booking so we had to drive over an hour away

They canceled our reservation without telling us. We were a pay on property reservation and I believe they canceled it because there was a big football game in the area and they wanted more money for the room. It was terrible experience to show up and not have a room.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was surprisingly good. There were lots of options and the staff person tending to the breakfast was very friendly. Upon check-in, the person at the desk was also kind, efficient, and allowed us to check-in a bit early. The room, however, was very disappointing. The carpet had many large visible stains, the curatins were shredded, there was a peice of food on the ground, the sink drained very slowly, and the furniture looked beat up. Since we were only there for one-night and really just to sleep, we didn't bother asking for a new room but, overall, the quality of the room was not worth the cost.

Pet-friendly, pleasant desk clerk. The room, hallway, lobby and dining area appeared clean. The beds were comfortable. Lots of nearby restaurants. We'd stay here again.

Back and side doors were propped open with rocks. Carpet filthy, bathroom crusty, would not recommended and would never stay again. Coffee pot stopped working during 1st hour of breakfast.

We choose this hotel due to the proximity of Highmark Stadium. The employees who checked us in were wonderful! The continental breakfast was very basic, which was fine, but our room had a little bit of a damp mildewy smell but the beds and pillows were very comfortable!

Room 104 was horrible basically nothing worked and when you sat on one of the beds it fell apart. There was no pool at all when website said it was open and good. The hairdryer didn’t work at all. The ceiling was falling apart from water damage.

When first entering the building , the lights were flickering and you could tell it was not well maintained. When getting the front desk the employee was not helpful at all and then informed us the pool was closed. (This was the main reason we booked here was for the pool). The rooms were alright , but could have been cleaned better . Beds are small and uncomfy. Would not come here again.

This was my second stay here. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. However our room was on the first floor and there was a crack in the window which was held together with tape and the room smelled like marijuana. Later that evening the toilet backed up. The front desk clerk gave us a plunger and explained there wasn’t a maintenance person on duty. My son had to fix the toilet and clean up the mess. The clerk did us a mop and fresh towels. The next morning I requested a refund of some sort and was told management wouldn’t be in until Monday and I should hear from someone. I understand things happen but this was a bit much.

We specifically picked this comfort inn for the pool and fitness center. They were both closed for the 6 days we stayed. You have to walk through the fitness center to get to the pool so if the pool was waiting to get fixed, at least open the fitness center.

For years, The comfort inn has been my “ go to” place to stay when I’m Hamburg. For the cost, this is your best choice relative to the other hotels nearby.

Absolutely love the location being so close to the thruway is a blessing. Everything you need being within a 5 minute drive is amazing. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. The only complaint I have is the chemicals they use for cleaning is a little strong and can stick around for a while but that is not a big deal at all as you can open the window and you know that it’s clean! Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Property is older. Some things needed attention. Exit lights in halls lit, but taped together. Over head light blinking constantly. But the room was clean, however the TV didn't work. We were really just there to sleep after an event so it wasn't a big deal. All in all it was great for what we needed.

Pictures and any ratings over 0-2 are deceiving. There is a sign on the front desk that says people rated it an 8. something and there is NO WAY unless they were all ratings from family members! When I entered my room, the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling with no batteries. Toilet seat was only halfway hinged and when I left my room, the door latch would not connect, so my room would not lock. I reported these things and they were fixed, however, at a very inconvenient time. After they fixed the door (which they had to remove the handle and take it all apart), my key cards had to be re-programmed EVERY TIME I LEFT THE ROOM. So it was not very convenient for me to have to go to the front desk every time I returned to the hotel. One of the reasons I picked this hotel was because the listing said there was a pool, which was closed indefinitely- I would not have known that unless I asked for pool hours. Hallways smell bad, only working ice machine was on 1st floor next to desk. Every time I had to get ice, the desk clerk would come over to watch how much I was taking (an amount comparable a quart-sized ziplock bag) yet they let renters from Red Roof Inn next door come in and fill up big containers. Hotel luggage carts were falling apart - I’m sure I’ll need a tetanus shot from using them.

Upon arrival, the individual working at the desk was very friendly.....once she decided to look up from her phone. The individual at the desk when we checked out never looked up from her phone, never said a word to us, and looked to be bothered by our presence. The room was so strong with odor (either a cover-up spray or cologne from the previous guest) that 3 of the 4 of us that stayed wound up having an allergy attack. I have a doctor's appointment at 2 today to deal with a serious case of conjunctivitis that has now developed after my stay. I am thankful that we had a place to lay our head on the way home from our vacation but there is absolutely zero chance I would stay here again.

Phone to someone the entire time. We immediately went to find the pool and found out that the pool was closed. This was a deciding factor in booking this hotel. The room has a terrible smell.

The carpet was filthy in room 114. No one seemed to take care of this place. The tv was blaring in the empty dining area at 7am. Why? Turn the volume down! I booked this hotel for the pool but it was closed. I’m done with comfort inns. The breakfasts are inedible.

There was a nasty woman named Robin behind the desk, I paid for 3 separate rooms and drove 6 hours and in the morning I asked for a later checkout for all 3 rooms, (1 hour only) check out was 11, I asked for 12, well this Robin said “ABSOLUTELY NOT, WE DONT DO THAT HERE” didn’t even say, you can but there would be a fee. I’ve stayed in the best places and you can always get a late checkout. A dump like this should kiss your behind instead of being nasty. Also her cloths were very dirty, she should be changing oil, not being unfriendly and rude to guests. 8000 thumbs down 👎

Called ahead before booking a few months ago to make sure pool was working. Didn't work at all while we were there and couldn't get a DVD player to work (could not change inputs even though it was plugged in.) Front desk had no idea how to fix and forgot to even come by and check.

While the property boasted an 8.2 rating it was more like a 4. Ground floor room had broken window glass patched with tape. Bathtub had a patch in it. The nightstand was sticky in the front and had about an inch of dust in the back. Asked about pool and hot tub and the desk said they aren’t open. When asked for a discount the desk said we could not get one because we booked with an online booking. Breakfast was out of most things by 7:30. Looked good on the outside but looks are deceiving!

Stay servednitd purpose for a one night stay. Tub had some issues on side wall and TV was small. Bed was comfy and they give you enough pillows. Free breakfast was ok as well. Front desk was helpful trying to add stay for points but not friendly

Room was dirty, the bedsheets were like they haven’t been washed, room smells like it was used as a smoking room. I asked and confirmed with the staff and was told this is non smoking property so it shouldn’t be. The staff was very helpful but before making any decision they were calling management and mentioned that they will get in trouble if not. Checked out in very early morning and it was not a breakfast time, kids tried to have muffin and was told not to take it or she will get in trouble. I am like, we are paying for this. But any ways clearly choice hotels have reduced their standards. I will not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either.

Breakfast was ok with eggs, bacon and waffles. The juice machine mixing extra water in juice - the receptionist tried to fix and was successful to some extent. I’d compare it to motel 6, red roof inn level. For extra $20, holiday inn next door was available. Nothing big issues overall.

The hotel is not safe. I found the emergency exit door at the end of the hallway by the stairwell propped open with a rock so anyone could enter the hotel. When I told the front desk she was rude and acted like it was not a big deal and necessary for staff to have a smoke break or for people to walk their dog and get back in. She then tells me she’s the manager! There was no apology and laughed off my concern. Mind you there is a door next to it for a key card that was not working and actually had the exterior key tap removed from the wall. Clearly doesn’t care for the safety of their guests. Do not recommend!

First time there the iron was dirty and ruined my shirt and pants....manager never came to front desk and never called me back. This time there was no ironing board in the room and the hair dryer was unplugged with a hand written note that said 'broken'....they have me a handheld dryer...it was the outlet that had a short.....when i presented these issues to front desk they blamed housekeeping staff for not infomring them...I'm sorry as management shouldn't you be managng your staff? The elevator was broken and they blamed a family with kids for breaking it...three days not working The coffee machine was broken, so they put out a jat of instant coffee Printer in business center printed with wide dark lines...boarding pass was unreadable.... Poor management and oversight, no one minding the ship ... Stay away from this hotel at all costs...how do they possibly have an 8.2 star rating?

Customer service was professional and helpful. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Unfortunately the pool was not working and this was disappointing to my grandson and myself. We were both looking forward to spending time in the pool. There was nothing posted that it was out of order at the time I made my reservation.
