Modest from the outside but very very clean. Awesome staff. The rooms have been renovated and they are really modern and comfortable. Very clean and quiet too! A little bland as renovations continue
- 2.5/5
The property has been recently renovated Management definitely needs to call pest control. There are huge cockroaches crawling around the rooms. It’s a horrible feeling when you’re just sitting there and a massive cockroach crawls above your head. This is not an isolated incident — there are genuinely a lot of them.

My family and I had an awesome experience here, was quiet and we felt safe, room was clean. Definitely will stay here if I come back to LA

It had a lot of vegan restaurants nearby, is close to where the martial arts studio I wanted to train at and is close to Hollywood Blvd Just the roommates can be noisy.

My fiancée and I stayed for a night while we passed through since we had picked up a puppy in SD. The staff were friendly and accommodating as they had a no pet policy. Super appreciate to them!!!

The location There was a stain on the bed I didn’t see until the evening so I just had to sleep on the other side. The sink was leaking so it made the towels underneath wet and there was no fire alarm.

Check in was easy and the front desk gave me all the info from parking to the ice machine to breakfast. Leaving the property was fairly easy. I did feel safe overall in my hotel and the gated parking lot.
- 5/5
May look a bit old, and the room might smell a lot with the bleach. However, the room or hotel being old doesn't mean it's bad, and the fact that it smells with the bleach actually means it's clean and fresh. The location itself is fine and you can see Hollywood sign as soon as you are going outside of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and is always helpful, ready to answer any questions, and just provide an excellent customer service. In a few words: I would stay here again!!

Location is central to everything, the light breakfast was nice. Staff were lovely Room had a bit of a smell which wouldn’t go away

Overall it was nice experience. Breakfast has limited options. There was no fruits but it was kind of okay if we compare the hotel room charges.

Renewed but not perfect, you might find bugs and the carpet stains your socks.

so good
- 4/5
Nice room, plenty of stores near by like supermarkets, food courts, coffe shopes. Easy to get in and out. Room service always on itme. Check in and out really easy. The extra fee for parking inside the building.
- 5/5
Room was amazing! Also, the staff were informative and friendly. Unfortunately, parking was pretty expensive but I understand because the lot is fairly small. Though, I was staying in Hollywood for almost a week and never had issues with finding parking! The hotel is near so many things. It's about 10 minutes from Downtown Hollywood and the walk of fame, 10 minutes from great food and about 30 minutes from the beach on a good (low traffic) day. In a dream world, the property would be expanded to accommodate for more parking. Nonetheless, this is a great stay for a decent price. I will definitely be staying here again!
- 4/5
Nice clean room, comfortable bed. Good air conditioner and internet. There is a small grab to go breakfast which was just enough to start the day. There is lift to reach the 2nd floor. 20 minutes walk from the Chinase theater. Safe parking. All of all good value for the money. Nothing.
- 4.5/5
The beds were too small.
- 1/5
Bad customer service bad parking N even they charge $15 for parking and the parking very small you can’t parking big SUV or truck
- 5/5

Too bright, couldn’t sleep well, AC wasn’t working so well
- 5/5
Easy access to our venue Parking kind of tight
- 5/5
I like to clean the uncomfortable the rooms were. Beds we're very comfortable The breakfast is only dry cereal
- 4/5
Basic breakfast No drinking water in the breakfast or at the hotel
- 0.5/5
Something very wrong with the behavior of some of the staff. Makes me wonder: where's their self respect?
- 5/5
I loved the location. It was very easy to go to the Walk of Fame and to take tours of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The restaurants in the area were very good.

- 3.5/5
Couldn’t get hot water, coffee or juice after 10am
- 4/5
The room was clean with a comfy bed-I was glad bc the hotel itself looked kind of old/run down from the front and the common area. If you’re looking for a good priced hotel in the West Hollywood area this is a good option. Don’t expect anything above basic.
- 5/5
The property is secure, clean and well maintained
- 3.5/5
Loud guests fighting, area was sketchy, and they wouldn’t let us purchase two parking spots. Sink didn’t have a stopper so we almost lost jewelry when it fell into the sink.
- 1.5/5
Visited 11/28 - 11/30 Other than the feeling of safety, and the overall location of the hotel, there was nothing to like about this trip The staff was unpleasant the whole time, starting at check-in. Seemed like we were a burden for showing up, and the hotel was unusually slow (I've stayed numerous times in the last 3 months). We ended up locked out the first night, it was only about 11:30pm. No one was in the lobby or answering the door. We received a wake up call an hour and half before check-out, and 5 minutes after check out someone is once again calling the room, and showing up at our room door as we literally have all our bags and are walking out. Bathroom shower also needed to be cleaned. I've stayed here numerous times because my previous experiences were great. So disappointed with this last one. If it had been my first visit, I would never come back, and will probably be looking at other hotels for my next trip.
- 4/5
good and secure parking inside the hotel with gate ticket permit. hotel is clean and decent. I paid for $15 per night parking fee.
- 5/5
Clean Room Great Location - Secure Parking for extra
- 5/5
Very clean, newly remodeled, nice staff
- 1/5
The staff her name was Anna. She was very rude made me and my children feel unwelcome. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she chose to argue with me. I would never stay here or recommend this place to anyone. I felt bad for the housekeeping they work hard for people. They should definitely get a different job.
- 2/5
Javier and Maria were great. One female staff member was rude. There was a roach in the room and the power would go off randomly. I need my deposit back.
- 5/5
The bathroom light turning off mid shower was scary though, did not realize it was a motion censor light until it was too late. lmao
- 3/5
It was not as pictured in the ad. Check- in staff were professional but check- out staff was not. Felt not worth the money.Hard to pick from on-line advertisement. Will not be back, sorry.
- 5/5
Very nice staff and nice close location
- 1/5
The outside is also super run down and a ton of homeless on the sidewalk in front. They do have a gated parking lot, which I’m thankful for because I wouldn’t have felt safe in this place without it. The rooms were renovated a few years ago, but it clearly used to be a smoking hotel. The non smoking room has a heavy “air freshener” cover up smell that hits you the minute you walk in. Takes about 20 minutes to get used to that smell. I would not stay here again.
- 3/5
It was a nice and cleaning room
- 4/5
Great location in walking distance of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery! Felt safe with the gated parking lot.
- 1/5
Clean room terrible service. Receptionist was very rude and sarcastic.
- 3/5
No cable connection for TV. Nobody around to help solve the problem. Customer service was none.
- 5/5
The room was clean, smelled clean too. The beds were so comfortable. There is a fridge, microwave, tv. My daughter and I traveled for a concert and stayed one night. The location is perfect if you’re going to a show at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It’s less than a mile and walking back at 1030pm felt overall safe. We felt safe in the hotel too and the other guests were really quiet so no complaints. Staff was so kind and helpful!
- 4/5
We stayed at the Rodeway Inn for one night, drove into town for a wedding and the venue was conveniently a 10-minute walk so that's why we chose this location. Love that it's attached to the Pavillion's grocery store, made it easy to walk over for some refreshments. The room was clean, check in was easy and we paid for parking which was worth it for the convenience and it was gated so that was a nice piece of mind. The only critique we had was the light sensors, they were kind of annoying, especially in the bathroom. The lights turn off pretty quickly, so if you're showering, applying makeup or sitting on the toilet the lights turn off right away, but not a huge deal, just annoying.
- 4/5
Stay was great. There for 2 nights, staff was pleasant from the beginning, clean rooms, large courtyard with seating in center of complex, and basic light breakfast (juice & bagels). Parking was fully gated, with plenty of spaces. Located directly next door to a grocery store, and perfect distance location from; Universal, Sunset strip, Hollywood Blvd, and Venice Beach. Will absolutely be staying here again.
- 3/5
Staff, especially young male evening front desk attendant was very rude .
- 5/5
Took a quick overnight trip to see a little bit of Hollywood. This place was far enough away from the Blvd to not have high traffic but close enough to be within minutes of our destination. Enjoyed having many food options within walking or short driving distance. Friendly and clean facility. Happy to stay there again
- 4/5
The room size was good, and the personal was kind, not breakfast but you have something to drink to start the morning. They have parking at cost we found a spot at the street and the car was safe all the time. We spend 6 days. Ubication is ok for all the places you want to visit around LA but in car, walking is not good idea
- 5/5
Perfect while traveling to Universal! Resonable parking fee of $15 a day! Clean rooms! So close to Hollwood Blvd!
- 4/5
The rooms are clean and the staff is attentive. Parking is in a secure location and it's close to grocery stores restaurants and attractions. Looks way better on the inside than from the street. The price is fair compared to the other expensive hotels near by
- 5/5
Outside appearance could do with renovation but the room was modern and very clean. Close by to all the touristy locations in LA. The included light breakfast is a nice touch. Parking was easy and there are places of spaces.
- 5/5
Great spot
- 3/5
The bathroom light is on a timer, so do yourself a favor and turn the bathroom light off and then back on again before you get in the shower so that the light timer restarts. Even then you may still have the light go off during your shower, leaving you in the dark - especially if your room is like mine with no window in the bathroom. Other than that, the property is decent and has a decent location - not in the heart of tourist spots, but close enough if that's what you're in Hollywood for. Gated parking also helps to keep unwelcome wanderers away, as the only way to walk onto the property is through the main lobby. The gate opens automatically, so anybody with a vehicle can drive in, but pedestrians must use the lobby unless the parking gate is stuck open. It was one evening that I was there - of the 4 nights that I stayed.
- 4/5
the staff was super nice... the walls are thin.
- 5/5
It’s was very clean
- 4/5
Overall, good value, good stay, and it's clear that they are making improvements!
- 5/5
Location is good and the staffs helpful with directions.
- 5/5
My family and I stayed here for 5 nights. We had the double queen beds, which were very comfortable. Covers are thin so you may want to bring a blanket. Check in was easy, staff were very nice. They didn’t mind giving us towels or tissue, which was a plus. Hollywood walk of fame is about 6 blocks away. Places to eat are in walking distance and Pavilions grocery store is next door! Property is non smoking and parking can be a little tight but wasn’t an issue. Carpet and walls can use a little cleaning and headboards are scratched up that’s why I gave four stars, however, everything else was clean. Would definitely stay here again. I forgot to mention they have grab and go breakfast every morning!
- 5/5
The staff are really nice
- 5/5
because we were able to get breakfast in the morning and it was really clean and there was no bugs at all in the bed and the towels were really nice and everything was clean overall a 10 out of 10 experience
- 4/5
Nice room. Close to bus routes. Supermarket nearby. Friendly staff
- 1/5
Not as expected
- 5/5
Stay was great, Carmelita (front desk lady) was very friendly and accommodating. Walking distance to Walk of Fame and felt very safe.
- 5/5
Honestly such a nice and clean hotel for such a reasonable price ! the room was very clean and up to date. also the staff was very friendly and helpful. will stay again
- 3/5
There are multiple signs of wear and tear, stains on carpets, large scratches on headboards, rust and muck on the metal fittings at the base of the shower door. I needed to stay late, after check out as I needed to work remotely in a private and quiet space. They charged me $30+tax PER HOUR to do so. Maybe i should have booked the room for two nights. The safe lock did not work. They're is no direct light over the refrigerator and coffee maker, so it was hard to see the coffee supplies and the coffee maker clearly enough to use them. I ended up just going to the lobby for coffee. On the positive side, the bed, and breakfast were the best things about the property. And, it seemed safe, and generally quiet. Cleaely I have mixed feelings abs opinions about the property. Ultimately, I will not return.
- 3/5
Room was clean, breakfast was a joke, the place itself is ok
- 3/5
They dont say that they charge extra for car parking and receptionist very rude....
- 5/5
Nothing much
- 5/5
Love how friendly and welcoming the staff were. I’d book this place again for future trips.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
The staff was great and the room was clean. It was just SO loud as we were in a room next to the road. The shades also didn’t work so the room was quite dark.
- 2/5
Oh and there’s only one entrance and one exit that’s through the lobby but they close the lobby from 1am -6am lol never again
- 2/5
I even spotted them in a parking spot outside my window, repeatedly revving their unmaintained engine to disturb me. I notified the front desk, unaware of their position, and the attendant seemed to ignore me the first time. I revisited him in the morning after being woken up by stomping directly above me, despite there being only two floors and my room being on the second.
- 4/5
Good price performance
- 2/5
There is problem of heating system
- 5/5
We love the comfort and cleanliness of the place. We only needed a nice place to rest for the night after watching The Wicked at the Pantages. Rodeway Inn did not disappoint.
- 4/5
Parking is $15 per night… very convenient if you are planning visiting Universal or any attractions in the area. Clean place. It’s OK for the price.
- 5/5
Inspite of the old building the rooms have been renovated and are not only comfortable but also well equipied. Maintenance in electricity is required and but overall it was nice.
- 5/5
Loved this place. Only thing I didn’t like is that we need to pay for parking. They should have that on the hotel app that the charge to park inside.
- 2/5
Reception is very run down. Communal area is concrete with a couple of table and chairs. Beds were comfortable and room clean, although very bare which doesnt feel welcoming. Parking charged in addition. Area not great but fine if just staying overnight. Booked for 2 nights, left after 1. The man on reception was nice and helpful though.
- 5/5
Better than expected
- 3/5
Overall stay was nice. Location was a little sketchy
- 4/5
The rooms are very nice, recently remodeled, and comfortable. The set up of the property isn’t ideal and perhaps still undergoing renovations, but extremely run down (not including guest rooms). The front desk staff was “okay.” I sort of felt that I was bothering the gal who checked me in, by checking in. Otherwise, the stay served its purpose and the free coffee in the morning was a kind touch.
- 4/5
Close to studios, Strip and Hollywood. Parking was behind secured gate - spots are a little tight if you have anything larger than a compact SUV. Great price and location for a no frills quick trip.
- 5/5
the best
- 4/5
Quick and helpful customer service, great room lots of outlets, love the water pressure in the shower and the bed was very comfortable.
- 3/5
It didn't seem like the best area, but it was actually fine and we felt safe because our car was behind a gated fence and all of the entrances to the rooms were also from the interior, not the exterior. It was a tad expensive for what we got but seemed recently updated? Smelled like mold so we did not turn on the A/C/Heating unit. It was fine for one night.
- 3/5
The rooms were remodeled a year or two ago, but are starting to show wear. The rooms themselves are comfortable, and the cleaning staff seems to do an okay job.
- 4/5
This hotel option in Hollywood is great. The relation between location, price and comfort is perfect. The hotel was recently renewed, everything looks and feels new but the head the bed of the room was a little bit damaged.
- 4/5
It was convenient for what I needed, the bed and pillows were super comfortable
- 2/5
I had to pay for parking... online said there was free parking
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
This is a very bare bones hotel, with pretty much zero amenities. The courtyard is pure and very plain cement. It seems well overpriced for what and where it is. This is a borderline sketchy area. The rooms were apparently remodeled a year or two ago, but my room had a few spots showing wear and tear. It appears the remodel was “more show than go.” I did think the cleaning staff did a pretty good job. For personal reasons, I wanted to be in this particular area, and there are no other hotels at all nearby. I suppose this is the main attraction. I am not sure what else this place has to offer.
- 4/5
This motel certainly isn’t plush, but it has everything you need, the rooms are relatively spacious, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient to old Hollywood (Paramount Studios tour, Hollywood Museum, Chinese Theater, Pantages, etc.). Breakfast is minimal, but gets the job done.
- 5/5
The rooms are upgraded recently, and I felt so secure, comfortable and safe! Literally every day they had so many people on the premises, cleaning rooms and constantly were available for me if I needed any extra supplies!
- 4/5
Overall 8/10
- 5/5
Clean and very nice
- 4/5
Great location! Great price! I found the staff helpful. My room was very comfortable and quiet! Thanks so much!
- 5/5
Daytime is beautiful in the area. A lit sign could help and some work is being done to improve the lobby. A great place to think and stabilize when jaunting about LA. Excellent shower.
- 5/5
Rooms were renovated and decently clean. Towels were renewed everyday. But there were some stains on the bedsheets. Great stay for this price
- 2/5
please my reviews from 7/21-24 for grevious behavior by your night clerk. I expect a responses from thevmotrk and Expedia on this matter.

Your night clerk 86d me or told me i cold not check into your property again last night. He said the reason was over occupancy of the room..When i checked into the room i requestd a four person capacity room, but was told there were none with accessible faclilities available. I am disabled i often use a wheel chair or walker and depend on the good natue of my friends to assist with mobilty issues ihave. I was and requested in my reservation a ADA room. I physically spoke to this desk attendant in person. over the three night stay i could hardly ask any one person to stay wtih me all three nights, espcially when i didnt now how long id need the room. and so through the course of the stay my attendant changed three times and at other times of the stay had casual vistors to the room. never for more than a few hours and at times the room was completely empty. We were behaved, quiet put in a corner with a noisy stair well with thunderous traffic over and next to us, we didnt complain, and ended up being told to not return Granted the clerk told us about the restrictions to the room, even told us at one point since there were already three in the room that i was ok for the meantime. And through the remaineder of the visit, i made sure the vistors only over lapped for a minimal time, if at all. And the did not bother anyone. My rights under the ADA were violated and i ask for partial or even full refund for my room and tax or ill take this to the next higher authoirty.
- 4/5
The rooms are renovated and clean. The Laundry machine just needs upgrades and also needs a coin machine. The Wi-Fi signal is slow and on and off. The elevator hopefully soon be fixed It is hard to go up and down carrying your luggage etc. But other than excellent for me.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
Fridge was not working so couls not keep drinks cold. Also no soap in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Great: This place looks like it was newly renovated inside. The beds, and washroom were all very clean. Included mini fridge, iron etc. Was very impressed. Even though it cost extra, the parking is gated which is a plus. Overall such a great place, and it deserves more stars. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Recently remodeled. The room was very nice, the rest of the hotel is still undergoing renovation so not great...but getting there. Great 3 night stay. No issues.
- 4/5
Rooms were new and updated. Lots of power outlets. Breakfast was more of a little snack. Outside and lobby are a little run down.
- 5/5
Great value
- 4/5
Staff was very nice when we arrived. The area is under construction which they apologized for but it does look a little bleak. However, the rooms are nice! There is some wear on the beds but it was still clean and comfortable! The bathrooms are definitely the most up to date and look great. However, take note of the 100 extra bucks that needs to be held. It takes sometime to go back into your account.. Parking is 15 which isn’t too bad and it’s very convenient parking. Nonetheless, the stay overall was enjoyable and would stay again!
- 4/5
Rooms are great, recently renovated. Lobby is next on the list, but the appearance had us concerned at check in.
- 4/5
There were a lot of loud door slams and the blinds were to dark
- 5/5
Great little hotel right near my sons apartment. Much cleaner area of LA tan previous trips. Very nice place. Clean, quiet, excellent hotel for a good price. The courtyard is comfortable and lots of restaurants and stores very close. I highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Great property and area.
- 5/5
Not pretty from the outside, but the room was AMAZING!
- 4/5
My only complaint would be it seemed overpriced for what it is and where it is.
- 3/5
Convenient location
- 5/5
I stay here often. It is affordable and always clean with secure parking. Convenient to Larchmont with great food and shopping.
- 4/5
The staff was great. The room was generally clean, except for mold in the bathroom
- 3/5
Decent room and comfy bed. But definitely lower your expectations when you first walk through the door.
- 5/5
Good place.
- 1/5
This place is so dirty and the surrounding area is disgusting
- 5/5
Good location for the location we needed to visit. Safe parking though limited space. Clean room and good bed. Not very bad for the price.
- 2/5
It took a while to check in and paid to use their parking. The room was clean but had some scuffing around the room. Also, it was difficult to turn the heater on. My biggest concern was the window in the bathroom did not go down all the way and was facing the street. The area is also not the most ideal to bring family.
- 5/5
2 Stars hotel but safe and great customer service
- 4/5
The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was small but enjoyable. Would stay here again. The parking was a little tight for a Chevy Silverado but doable.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean. Close to places we need to go. Clean and updated room. Safe and secure parking.
- 4/5
When first seeing area I was a bit apprehensive. However room clean bed comfortable and shower was nice and hot. Morning coffee was ok -
- 3/5
Property is in a good location. Beds are comfy and room is reasonably clean. Staff are not overly helpful.
- 5/5
The property is under construction. It may look outdated my the exterior. The room we stayed at was remodeled, nice and clean. Great location.
- 4/5
Great value for money and close to a lot of things to do. Clean and recently updated. I could not get wifi to work in my room, which is the only negative thing I can say about it.
- 3/5
The curtain in the room was broken and let quite a but of outside light in, even during the night, keeping me from getting any proper sleep
- 5/5
Considering that I got a horrible hotel before coming here this place was AMAZING. Complementary breakfast, clean sheets/towels, clean room, coffee machine inside room. WARNING: parking is 15$ but worth it; better than parking on the street. Will be back!
- 2/5
I had originally booked this location because it stated they had a on site EV Charger, which was not the case. The price point did not correlate with hotel. The room looked to be newer and was clean, was not what I had expected. Parking situation was a joke, to have to pay for it was even worse.
- 4/5
The outside is nothing to brag about, but that's no biggie, and in that area there's no getting away from unhoused people, but the one I passed didn't bother me. Once you're inside, it's pretty nice. Updated furnishings, a nice inner courtyard and gated garage with reasonable parking rate. There's a good restaurant across the street and a grocery store around the corner. Near a lot of studios, so good location if you're in town for business. Quiet, because the windows all face the inner courtyard, so no street noise.
- 1/5
The room itself was good, and very clean but the building and parking along with the front desk made me feel very unsafe. The building looked like it was under construction or like it was going to break down/vacant. There were some homeless people sleeping outside as well. The staff was friendly.

I like the open area in the middle and how close my room was to the parking area. The restroom has the cool sliding door , but it had a crack in it so people sitting on the bed can see in the restroom? So weird. Not recommended for ppl sharing rooms that aren’t comfortable with each other lol the room was very humid even with AC on. The 2 men at the check in desk were very kind.

Older property that has been renovated. A/c could use a good cleaning. Air flow was low. Wish i was offered parking in the property.

Newly renovated hotel rooms. The pool is no longer there, but for us that was not a problem. After a whole day of doing our pre-planned activities, all we wanted was to go back shower and sleep. This little hotel was perfect for us.

I booked this motel because it was within walking distance of Paramount Studios and was inexpensive. When I arrived and entered the lobby, I thought I was in the No-Tell Motel. But, my room looked liked it had been completely and nicely renovated the week before, and while small, it was quiet and comfortable. There was a free "light breakfast" which was fine for my needs. The neighborhood looked sketchy but I never had a problem. Bottom line, it wasn't the Four Seasons, but it turned into a nice surprise.

My gurets asked to change hotel as they sent pictures that the place was in horrible condition and the place was very uncomfortable in many ways.

Rooms are nice but it is pricey given that there is no restaurant In the hotel and given the location (it seemed close when looking at the map but it is a 40 min walk to the nice part of Hollywood Blvd)

This is a small property with limited parking which is an additional $15. The parking lot is tiny so if you have a big vehicle it will be tight. Next to grocery store & restaurants. Staff are very friendly and the room was remodeled. It has a very quaint courtyard for sitting, eating, etc.
