The kids pool area was great although they closed the slides fairly early around 5pm. The staff was not the nicest near the pool area but they were closing when I wanted to order something so maybe that’s why I didn’t get the best service. There’s a few restaurants on property, bike rentals and even have a Starbucks too. They have fire pits throughout the hotel to enjoy making s'mores. The gym was equipped with everything you need to get a great workout in. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay.

I reserved the cabana in the children’s pool area. Complimentary fruit plate was served and our waitress went above and beyond! Great experience!

There are a couple of things to know however, there is no self parking and the rate is $60 per day. There aren’t really any other options either. Not a deal breaker but something to know before hand. The resort is large and well maintained. There is a separate pool for kids/families with two water slides. The rooms were clean and spacious however we were woken up by the sound of someone taking a shower in a room close to ours. The sound of running water seemed much louder than normal. Overall we would definitely go back because of the convenience to the beach.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They also accommodated my request for a room change with a better view of the beautiful coastline that I enjoy so much. I definitely recommend this resort.

Everyone was great. Appreciated the upgrade to full ocean view. Property and room cleaned well, but tired. Mattress way too worn and hard as a rock.

We were greeted by a Hawaii man who walked us through everything. His name was Jason and he was our first impression. That started the adventure with our granddaughter. Jason got us a s’mores package for the fire pit and we had a blast. What a great time we had and it all started with feeling the aloha from the concierge area. Give that man a raise.

Excellent hotel and location. It was a bit too crowded especially in the pool area. Also the pictures overstated the water slides. They are more suitable for much younger kids and not as appropriate for a 12 year old child.

Great location within walking distance to Main Street. Room was great, bed was a little hard but my standards are high. Pool was great with a live DJ. You can’t park your own car. They charge a $60 valet fee and $45 resort fee that was not mentioned on Expedia.

Ocean view rooms will be a little quieter from street traffic than the rooms facing the beach and PCH. Many of the first floor patio rooms have fire pits. Will definitely stay here again!

What a beautiful facility to enjoy a getaway weekend with a beautiful woman

Stayed overnight, place is beautiful but could not sleep with the AC making noises all night. It was too late to get up and move my whole family. Hotel did not let me have late check out after a bad nights sleep and they did not give me an adequate refund or discount. Very disappointed in that aspect.

It was a wonderful stay. Extremely nice staff. Wish there was a bar in the hotel. Love an evening cocktail.

We stayed 3 nights to end our 1 week trip to orange and enjoyed our stay very much. Great staff, loved the pools, good food right at the resort, close drive to restaurants for dinner, safe, and comfortable. We don’t travel with small children, but it is a great place for kiddos being across the street from the beach, the water slides and pools on property & noticed a kids’ movie night as well. Only issue were the number of chairs saved for folks that weren’t staying on property. That got frustrating when it made it hard to find seats by the pool. We got the room with the fire pit. Super cool, and even came with a small s’mores kit and blankets. Awesome touch!

Beautiful resort. Everyone was friendly and the resort had everything for a relaxing and enjoyable get away. The amenities were great and everyone from front desk to valet were helpful and friendly. The valet kiosks were wonderful. The location is perfect, as there were plenty of places to walk to.

We had the best few days here at the hyatt. Everyone from valet to the front desk to house keeping was so nice. I CANT say enough hood things about this property. We stayed with 3 young kids and would love to return ! I loved the pools and the fact the beach was just a short walk over the bridge.

Staff and food was excellent!! Property is starting to look a bit tired. Not sure what you can do about the locals at the pool. Also, I’m not sure what can be done about the drag racing on PCH. Not as relaxing as it once was in the past, maybe a sign of the times.

We have stayed here back in 2012 for 2 weeks at the same time of the year for family and this time for business. The hotel is nice in concept, clean and has eateries on the property. Staff is excellent. However, the hotel rooms are in need of upgrades to bring it current to the times. Was disappointed and found it to not be worth the money anymore - which is 180 degrees opposite of 14 years ago.

Fantastic staff and location. Service is top notch. Second time staying here and wish we could have enjoyed the pools more. Great gym with most of the equipment you would need. However rooms are getting old and could use an update. Especially carpets, head boards, and furniture which have a stale smell due to pool water brought into the room over time. Valet parking only which has doubled since our last stay 4 yrs ago. Skip the restaurants on the property. The Watertable had bland food that was overpriced. Pete's is better, but also overpriced for what you get. Many other options down the street along the beach or north of the hotel.

The most disturbing part was the cost of $60 per night for valet parking. We wanted to self park for half the cost but due to the rain and restricted no entry after 9pm, we were forced to pay the valet. Also we had an added $45 per night for resort fees. Did not use the resort. First and last for us.

Almost a week after I checked out and still don’t have my invoice. I tried calling because I left jewelry there and they still haven’t answered or called back. I have a $400 charge on my card that I have no idea what it’s for either- I paid for the room in full in advanced.

Beautiful stay during the Thanksgiving Holiday, was able to walk over to the beach with family and see the sunset and dolphins! Room was spacious and fit us comfortably even with a toddler. The service was wonderful, they brought us a packNplay with soap/lotion for the toddler and a soft blanket. The food was also delicious, we did the Thanksgiving buffet and the variety and desserts were the best! Excited for our next stay!

I love the hotel, did not give excellent because their restaurants need improvement: service was slow, they were understaffed and unprofessional.

One of the highlights was the special touch with robes available in the room—an unexpected luxury that made winding down even more enjoyable. The service at this hotel was excellent. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at the front door and they were so great at taking our luggage right away and directing us to the front desk. The front desk was outstanding from checking to checking out. They really do hire the best people to care for their customers. I have stayed at a lot hotels and I will say they were amazing. Even the maids that dropped off extra pillows. They were so quick to respond. It’s great to have such an amazing staff that makes your stay exceptional. Thanks and definitely will be back again soon.

The hotel property is absolutely beautiful, but it’s starting to show wear. We were given a handicap accessible room. I feel the rooms need a little upgrade. The area was nice beach across the street. Parking was expensive, but it’s cheaper to park at the beach however, not close. I would definitely recommend it and potentially stay there again. The amenities are fabulous.

We stay every summer at this location. Love the convenience of the bridge to the beach. Umbrella/chair set up at the beach also great. The Sunset Market is the only place on the property that is below par. Not enough employees working in morning rush for coffee and pastries. Jasmin is very rude to customers and looks like she couldn’t care less about her job there.

Our stay was memorable, overall. The only real down rating would.be the bathrooms. We didnot like the sliding doors,at all. The faucet in our shower was loose from the wall as well. We enjoyed all our interactions with the staff,very pleasant.

Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a large TV that let us cast and review our daily photos — a nice touch. Some areas could be improved, particularly the bathroom, which felt a bit dated. The shower was on the weaker side, and the half-tub design didn’t really suit the size of the room. A walk-in shower and double sinks would have been better. The sliding doors to the balcony also stuck from time to time, which made them difficult to open and close. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful, though our check-in felt less welcoming than expected. The location is also great for exploring — about a 15-minute walk to downtown Huntington Beach with its restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The coastal walk into town was a real highlight. Overall, a very good resort with an excellent location and plenty of amenities. A few updates would make it even better.

Absolutely beautiful and luxurious hotel! The property is gorgeous with numerous large pools, hot tubs and places to relax. Evening fire pits, perfect for making s’mores. Someone threw up in pool and lazy staff did not want to clear out pool. Saying it was lotion. There may be many sick kids and adults in future. I witnessed the staff refusing to handle the situation properly. Disgusting.

I had a great stay with my family over the weekend. The only thing I wished for was a smart TV so I could watch all my favorite shows.

Booked a room and two cabanas for my bday this year and it was super easy process and everyone including myself had a very good experience from the helpful and kind staff to the ease of checking g in and checking out. Rooms were clean and cool upon arrival. Only complaint is the noisy neighbors ALL night but other than that, it was very nice experience.

Service was hit and miss, breakfast buffet was poor, especially for the price and valet parking is $60 per night no matter how long you stay which I think is poor

JUST EVERYTING

I have stayed here with my family many many times. The property is family friendly with tons of activities. Most importantly, it is right on the beach with a convenient walk across the hotel's bridge over PCH. Yes, I could easily stay at a ultralux hotel down the road in Laguna. I have stayed at all of them. But, when staying with a family, they are very stuffy. Can't beat the Hyatt Huntington. The staff is always very friendly/helpful, there are many dining options, and safe. We will continue to stay here.

Everything but the kids meal portions were amazing! I travel a lot with my kids and the portion sizes for kids was the worst I’ve seen. Just order your child an adult size, even for my 2 year old he was still so hungry after each kid meal. I had to order him 2 servings. But other than that property is beautiful and staff is really great.

This resort is beautiful! We live locally and chose this hotel for our staycation because of its location and easy access to the beach. All the staff was friendly and welcoming, and provided wonderful service. The rooms are clean and spacious. We plan to stay here again soon!

This is a beautiful hotel but very unhappy with enforcement of rules and security around the pool areas. This is family friendly and busy hotel but was suppose to have an adults only spa area - there were kids in the spa area my entire stay and no staff enforcing the rules around the adults only area. For the amount I paid for this I would have rather booked a smaller hotel.

Amazing amenities with beach access and large pool, accommodating staff and walkable shops/restaurants and live music. When staying would recommend a bonfire on the beach, lounging at the pool (snacks and drinks delivered to your lounge chair) and Tuesday night market on Main Street. Also loved the conscience of the onsite grocery, s’mores/wood, and beach chairs/umbrellas. Parking is expensive at $60 a day, however the valet staff are friendly and the underground parking brings price of mind. I’d recommend flying in to one of the closer airports and skipping a rental car, no need for a car with how walkable the community is.

Cons: No self parking on property, only self parking is across the street at the beach & it’s $20/night and you can’t get in after 9pm. So if you leave at 8:30pm and try to come back to beach parking at 9:15pm they won’t let you in… -$56 extra for breakfast, cmon guys the amount of $ it is to stay here that should be free! -Valet is $60/night and you can leave whenever… a little pricey if you ask me.

Live music. Definitely something for everyone. Only my wife & I stayed, and we enjoyed Ryan’s drinks at Pete’s along with great dinner at Watertable. My wife opted for Pacific shopping, while I enjoyed the beach/pool. Also, Close proximity to Newport for fashion island & balboa. The upper rooms with balcony & ocean views were ideal for coffees in the morning. This is the place, look no further!

This our first visit to your resort, we enjoyed the staffing, but there was problem with one family. The family allowed one of their children's run around the pool area with dirty diaper that was running down his leg, leaving spots along the pool area, as he walked to hot spa area and entered the hot spa. We informed one of the female staff members, Management was advised of the situation. They closed the hot spa area for few hours than opened up three hours later. Don't know if the hot spa was cleaned up or not. Also the pool had black film around it seem like it need to be cleaned also.

I absolutely loved this property. This is a summer go to for a weekend.

Several restaurants onsite, as well as a Starbucks. We ate lunch at Shor, which is down at the beach. It was good food and great views and easy to walk to. We ate dinner at Pete's. Bartender was great, as well as the food. We also enjoyed the pool area and they offer drinks and food there as well, You can get a drink in a fresh coconut. I will definatley be back to this resort!

Rooms was average typical holiday inn style. sliding door was broken and hard to open to fire pit. lots of extra charges hotel.com does not include in price like 60 a night for parking, 45 resort fee each day, 4.50 city tax per day 2.70 per day hb assesment fee. when i clicked paid in full on hotels.com i still owed 104 at the property on top of these charges. beds not comfortable, furthest resort from pier mile walk each way. the only thing we enjoyed was the food at water table and how accomidating they were with allergies

nice & clean resort! Unfortunately did not get to use any amenities so resort fee should have been taken off my bill. Don’t appreciate all these extra fees attached to hotels makes it hard to want to travel. when your paying so much for the room now and valet is your only option to park so ridiculous $60.00 crazy it’s Huntington Beach not that nice of an area really you can’t find your own self parking. you can not check in until 4pm check out 11/12ish barely 8hrs there at the resort. They are all disturbing when you use to have almost 24hrs stay. your day feels wasted it’s ridiculous! It’s not just this hotel it’s all of them now!!

The hotel is overall nice, but I can’t understand why breakfast isn’t included in the price per night. Charging $38 per person for breakfast seems a bit overpriced for the limited variety offered. We’ve been to a lot of places all over the world where you get a good breakfast included.
