Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, and spaciousness of the rooms, as well as the friendly staff and convenient location. However, many express frustration with the $20 per night parking fee, which is often not disclosed upfront. Some also mention issues with breakfast and housekeeping.

Great stay for you and the family if an event brings you to the area. Also, plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Nice place! Clean property, friendly staff. I would book again.
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast, well stocked kitchen and nice staff. Rooms are a bit small but clean and it's convenient that they have kitchen.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Excellent place for business and family stay. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Nice property with a lovely outside area. There are chairs and a pool. They also have a basketball area. It’s one of the better outside areas I have seen in Irvine. This hotel is close to Food and shopping as well. Extremely nice staff at check in. Huge difference from the Homewood down the street. Great place for families.
- 4.5/5
Very welcoming lots of places to sit and work if you needed to. Nothing
- 5/5
Very clean, comfortable, great location. Nothing, it was great!
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5

The Staybridge is a pleasant surprise. To begin, the staff is pleasant, professional,
- 5/5
I wish the parking fee can be a little cheaper.
- 4/5
Clean room, free Wi-Fi and good breakfast. I have stayed here a few times last couple of years and they didn't charge parking. I was a bit surprised by the $25/day charge. Other than that, I would definitely come back again.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Everything. Diamond in the ruff. So glad we found it.
- 3/5
Room smelled badly, like rotten eggs.
- 5/5
Excellent food breakfast thanks
- 5/5
Suite was modern, clean, and comfortable. I spent a lot of time there and was able to relax. The streaming is great. Breakfast is really good for a free breakfast, too. Would totally stay again.
- 5/5
In a very nice area. Quiet and peaceful. Absolutely nothing. I could say the parking, but they worked it out for us . Because when we got there, there was nothing. But they made an exception and let us park in the front in a 20 minute one overnight because there was nothing for us.
- 5/5
A really nice & big suites, high ceiling. Comfortable bed. Very clean rooms & bathrooms, & they are using Dove products. Easy to find parking spot. Breakfast pretty good, limited selection but it’s ok, you’ll still get full & satisfied. Very clean inside & outside the property, safe neighborhood. Will definitely come back or stay in their hotel if they ate available in other place.

During a stay in early March 2026, my family and I experienced significant room issues, including excessive, unregulated heat and persistent structural-type vibrations that made the room difficult to occupy. This was not a minor inconvenience. While staying in room #213, the primary bedroom became extremely hot despite the air conditioning running. My mother, daughter, and I began feeling physically unwell in the room, including lethargy and noticeable temperature dysregulation. At one point, I lay on the floor trying to cool down, but the heat persisted to the extent that I considered seeking emergency medical care. At the same time, we experienced a pulsating sensation in the floor along with amplified mechanical noise. I contacted the front desk multiple times, and maintenance later came to inspect the room and confirmed both the excessive heat and the vibration and noise conditions. During that inspection, we were informed that the room is located directly above the hotel’s laundry facility, and I also observed a storage room immediately adjacent to the wall of the primary bedroom. We were told laundering would stop around 10:00pm, but it continued until approximately 11:30pm, and even after being told it had ceased, the heat, vibration, and noise persisted throughout
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet was the best!! Rooms were cleaned daily. Shower did clogged up but they would come and fix it right away. Service was great!! Would stay again!
- 5/5
We were upgraded to a larger room and were so comfortable during our 3 day stay. I will always come back to this hotel when we are in OC There could have been instructions on how to use the window blackout blinds. It was easy to figure out but it was not obviously logical.
- 2/5
I stayed there for one night and won't be staying there again. The room overall had a really strong cleaning/ air freshener smell to it that was making me sick to my stomach and it was dirty. There was little black hairs all in the shower still, the shower head was all calcified with no pressure. The floors in the bathroom had black smudges and the sink in the bathroom had stuff on the faucet. I got back from work exhausted Friday night and woke up Saturday to take a shower before work and the water was extremely cold and wouldn't turn hot- regardless of the direction you turned it. I called the front desk to let them know because it is very frustrating and she mentioned we are over booked or I'd have you shower somewhere else. I said I needed to leave to work in 30 mins so at this point I'm just bummed. Ten mins later a maintenance person called to come up and look at it and I said no I need to leave to work you can come up when I leave. He also asked if I tried moving the knob I said of course pretty annoyed and the sink also wouldn't go hot in the bathroom to wash my face. The water also had a very strong sulfur smell. All and all the only good thing about this room was the bed and pillows.
- 4/5
Breakfast items were fresh
- 5/5
It was all good
- 4/5
It was nice and modern. Loved the pool area and game room. The basketball courts are a plus. The hvac system made a loud noise in the middle of the night. I am a light sleeper, I woke up and it warm and had to turn it off and open windows.
- 5/5
Best hotel ever
- 5/5
Best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Breakfast is great.
- 5/5
Super clean, modern, easy check in and out, nice pool, very satisfied would definitely stay at this property again
- 5/5
Nothing to complain about! Great service!
- 3/5
My only request was an extra blanket and they were out 🤔 overall the room was nice and clean, kitchen was great... just expected a bigger room given it was considered a suite
- 5/5
Room was perfect for my business stay. Workout room was great and the free breakfast and happy hour is a huge bonus.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, property was clean and very safe.
- 5/5
Great for families
- 5/5
Great hotel, clean with nice amenities
- 5/5
Clean property and room. Very nice staff. Good location with plenty parking spaces. Good breakfast spread.
- 5/5
was impeccable. I love hotels that feel like bed and breakfasts even when they are a larger property.
- 4/5
Too much noise during breakfast. We choose not to stay. It sounded like a cafeteria.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
No negatives
- 4.5/5
The bed was amazing. The space was good as well, everything was very clean. I brought my dog with me and if there is any noise she lets me know but it was for the most part very quite. I liked that I was near an exit, just for the convenience of letting her out. The breakfast was also good many options and my dog loved the egg and cheese omlet. I say this as her stomach was very upset for a couple days before we got here and I think those omlets helped!!! The grounds for a dog is not very good at all, she hardly ever made it to the grass. You need an area for dogs that is gated so they can run.
- 5/5
Although not many allergies sensitivity food options offered , I was able to choose from a variety of fruits at breakfast, as for my kids they enjoyed Breakfast. Staff were very friendly and attentive. My kids also enjoyed activity room.
- 5/5
The room was in excellent condition and clean. Daily room service did a great job as well.
- 5/5
A lot of hidden charges (parking and resort fee not disclosed up front)
- 1/5
They did not disclose parking fees upfront. Intentionally hid parking fees at check in. These fees were a surprise when my deposit was not returned to me.
- 5/5
Nice property
- 5/5
Stayed 1 night the queen room suite was clean, had good aesthetics had good aesthetics, and 15 minutes away from UC Irvine.
- 2/5
For some reasons, both the room and the entire hotel smell off. I finally breathed a sigh of relief after checking out and getting some fresh air outside.
- 5/5
Very nice room
- 5/5
convenient location, great staff, nice room and breakfast
- 5/5
Staff was awesome and the room was clean. Very spacious. Great location, felt very safe and near a lot of food choices.
- 5/5
Definitely.
- 5/5
Clean large rooms, very quiet
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
There was trash in hallway trashcan flowing out to the floor
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. The hotel is nice and clean.
- 4/5
Otherwise the staff was polite and as mentioned before the room was clean. They provided coffee and breakfast every morning.
- 4/5
Our room was spotless and easy parking options
- 3/5
Room was not initially clean, heater did not work. No lightbulb for one of the lamps and front desk could not give me one because maintenance was gone. Room was far from elevator
- 3/5
I was later surprised to see $75 in parking charges added to my bill. I don’t mind paying for parking if I’m informed in advance, but this was not clearly communicated at check-in. When I called the hotel for clarification, Caleb informed me that I should have read the terms and conditions in advance and that the parking charges would not be refunded. The tone of the conversation felt dismissive rather than service-oriented.
- 5/5
We had a very pleasant stay! The check-in process was easy, the front desk was able to hold our bags for us until our room was ready, and our room was clean and spacious. There is ample parking, however there is a fee to park and resort fee as well. The breakfast was delicious!
- 5/5
Room was super nice and neat
- 4.5/5
Bed was very comfortable. TV system was smooth. Relatively well maintained. Breakfast was very nice, staff were friendly, amenities were sufficient, it was nice to have a play room, a business room, a gym, and Laundry for a long stay. Housekeeping service was not very regular. some days were skipped. Coffee and tissues were not refilled unless asked for. Breakfast can have more variety over the week.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice and clean. Good breakfast options and some wrek night social snack options as well. Would have been 5 stars but there were additional fees after my booking that I saw after check out. Resort/ laundry/ parking. Added $80 to my bill after paying in advance on Hotels.com
- 5/5
everything about our stay at Staybridge Suites was perfect.
- 5/5
This my 4 long Stay. I like the property, and the staff. However, it may be due for some renovation while maintaining the same level of comfort experience.
- 5/5
Great breakfast . Only complaint is outside of bathtub was a bit dirty
- 5/5
Clean, rooms were perfect for a long stay, free breakfast had everything you could want to eat, staff was accommodating and friendly. Will stay here every business trip to the OC.
- 5/5
great job, thank you
- 5/5
Hotel was great but the elevator was in a weird spot of the hotel in relation to where our room was. Long walk to get to and from the room.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Love it and room was spacious and clean
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 5/5
Room was spotless, food was the bormal hotel food but they kept it in stock. Everuone was really nice. The room was well stocked and very large with great beds.
- 4/5
was good breafast
- 2/5
We were for a whole week they never cleaned our room they just change our blankets but that's was it , for breakfast they will put the same thing every day, hotel was ok but not something I was looking for 😔I have stayed in soo many hotels and never stayed in one that didn't clean your room ..
- 2/5
The room layout wasn’t very comfortable. The architecture felt unusual, with a TV but no seating area to actually watch it. The bathroom slider was also quite hard to open and exit.
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 5/5
Staff's were very nice room was pretty special kitchen and dining room Mamenities
- 4/5
Clean rooms, very fresh breakfast.all other amenities are very good except room size is not satisfactory and linens were not enough for the sofa bed.
- 5/5
We love everything about are stay it was are first time in California
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable!
- 2/5
Room had strong odor of mildew, likely due to moisture under the wall to wall carpeting. They need to tear up the carpeting, clean/disinfect the floors, and then put down flooring that won’t lead to new mildew developing.
- 4/5
Room and facility was very clean. No complaints about that.
- 5/5
Property was right where we needed to be. It was close to everything and clean. The staff were very welcoming and our stay was quiet and relaxing. We also have a service animal. Would and will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Staff,amenities amazing!!!!!
- 5/5
Room clean ,good staff,good service.
- 5/5
So happy with the king bed suite room everything was spotless clean employees had great attitudes and there was a microwave and a big fridge
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Suite with full kitchen was awesome!
- 5/5
This property is well kept. The staff is friendly - Gary, Camila, Alyssa and Sandra. The rooms are very clean and had everything - body wash, shampoo, clean towels. Kitchen is well equipped with state of the art range, big & tall fridge etc. Lovely shower with doors closing fully on both ends This property is comparable to Homewood Suites by Hilton but would rate this Staybridge property on a higher scale. The 3 days (Mon-Wed) evening social gathering with wine and snacks is an unforgettable treat. I recommend this property to all who are visiting Anaheim for the first time. Property is just 7 minutes away from John Wayne Airport in Irvine
- 5/5
Had an amazing and relaxing time. Definitely stating at this location again.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing, however, I definitely would add more seating and tables for breakfast
- 5/5
Love staying here I always book this hotel when wanting to stay out of town.
- 2/5
Prepaid for all room charges on Expedia, but at arrival I was informed that the hotel charges an extra "resort fee" -- which is a joke, since this is not even remotely a "resort" -- and also a parking fee (for a non-secure, uncovered, self-park spot on the back side of the hotel). Management's virtue signaling apparently requires them to maintain lots of empty parking spots near the front door for coal-powered EVs and other so-called "low-emission" vehicles. Second-class customers park in the way back, then walk all the way around to register, then walk all the way around back to put a parking tag on the car, then walk all the way back around again to get back into the hotel. Ridiculous arrangement.
- 5/5
Excellent service. Front desk check in man saw that our daughter was in a wheelchair and immediately changed our room to wheelchair accessible room. So grateful for your kindness. I'm sure he was the manager or owner. He definitely ran things. Top tier service!
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Great staff, clean and upscale rooms for the price. There’s just nothing around it.
- 5/5
Clean rooms
- 5/5
Clean room, great location, great stead, good breakfast. Room just feel relaxing.
- 4/5
Parking could also be cheaper - or free. The rooms are already pricey as it is.
- 4/5
Otherwise very nice.
- 5/5
Nice place!
- 5/5
Normally I struggle to connect to the tv to do share screen. It was so easy to connect my phone.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved our stay here, didn’t get to enjoy all the amazing amenities since I was there for a training but all the outdoor/ indoor games and gym was so nice. I’ll definitely be back with my kids and family. Not only did they have complimentary breakfast but dinner as welll with alcoholic beverages included. Front desk stafff was also great and made check in take only a couple seconds. Can’t wait to come back.
- 3/5
The hotel was well situated and very clean. The room was comfortable and the bed and pillows top tier. That said, this hotel charges a resort fee and parking, each night, and there are no resort amenities and the parking is a standard lot.
- 5/5
very good
- 4/5
Convinced
- 5/5
nice hotel quiet and clean
- 5/5
I loved everything about the hotel. Close to Newport Beach, Caleb at check in was very kind and professional as he navigated guests at check in. The breakfast and staff at breakfast were helpful and very friendly. There is a nice pool and a game room which was nice. The one bedroom suite we stayed in had everything we needed. Highly recommend this hotel! You will not be dissapointed.
- 5/5
Very nice, clean and modern. Only bad thing 1 of the elevators was out of service causing long delays.
- 5/5
Very clean and nice
- 4/5
Very near a whole range of shopping area.
- 5/5
Good stay, with very friendly staff and service. The room space is very good, and very quiet. The only drawback would be the noise from fridge during sleep. Oh, and the sofa bed was way too soft, my husband didn’t sleep well there. But the bed and breakfast service are awesome. Overall recommended.
- 5/5
Great stay. Only issue was the droning noise from the A/C.
- 5/5
Didn't like being charged $10.00 each night for using a credit card.
- 5/5
New like property
- 5/5
It was great!
- 3/5
The Room condition & services are good but air-conditioning has a noisy when sleeping no matter what!
- 5/5
Many food options and shopping 1 mile south.
- 3/5
I was pleased with the hotel itself, I was not pleased with the customer service.
- 5/5
Great option for families.
- 5/5
The property was very clean and the staff were great, really enjoyed our 2 week stay
- 4/5
The room is comfortable. It comes with bowls, pots and pans. Breakfast was good and have different varieties through out my 7 days stay. Staff was friendly. There are about 5-7mins walk to a Walmart. Only draw back are $10 daily resort fee and $25 daily parking.
- 5/5
Loved it! We loved the pool and the game room and the nice big rooms to sleep in.
- 5/5
It’s was really nice there was a lot to do with my girls 13,9 they loved it the employees were very nice.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
It was one of the best stays I've ever had & the only lengthy stay. The only negative was the room above us worth children jumping up/ down at all hrs but the staff handled it immediately once i told them.
- 5/5
This is not my first time staying at this hotel chain. Everything is great.
- 5/5
This hotel was great because our room had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a pull out sofa, it was perfect for our family!
- 5/5
Great stay overall. Happy hour Monday - Wednesday evening was nice. There’s also a great walking / dog park across the street! Staff is very friendly as well!
- 5/5
Clean and nice
- 5/5
Awesome hotel. Make sure EV chargers work!!
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Nice place
- 3/5
Excessively expensive, limited house keeping, inflated parking fee $45 daily.
- 5/5
Love the location, amenities, and service!
- 5/5
Great staff. Clean. Excellent service
- 1/5
The hotel was nice. Some of the staff were nice. We had an OK stay but I never parked at the hotel because it was $25 a night just to park there plus resort fees plus deposit. I checked in with a service dog and when I left, I noticed I was charged $85. I called back to see why and was told it was due to my dog and when I told them he was a service dog, they said they know he wasn’t and that they were gonna do a one time courtesy and refund me, but I’m now on the do not rent list and they said we left the room dirty quite frankly we are 100% not those type of people we most definitely clean the room and just left bags of trash and the blankets off of the bed and when I said, that was the point of housekeeping, they said no it wasn’t and just hung up the phone on me also he said that my card kept declining when in fact upon going into the hotel, I was told I would need a deposit and they only took physical cards and I only had my tap so I had to spend like almost an hour trying to send money to all my different cards which wouldn’t have a 2 to 3 day hold when finally I did it and paid it. They consider that my card declining the mail staff was extremely rude. Like I said before he said he knows my dog wasn’t a service dog and that’s that and literally just hung up on menot to mention the first day I had extremely bad food poisoning and the following day my wife did and we let them know right then and there and they did nothing. Also, I booked a room with a bathtub and didn’t
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in was quick, and anytime I had a question, they were courteous and responsive. The breakfast each morning was solid—nothing overly fancy, but fresh and kept well-stocked, which is more than I can say for a lot of places lately. Only reason I’m not giving five stars is the parking fee. It felt a bit steep considering the location. Also, while the hotel is convenient to the airport and freeway, there's not much immediately walkable in the area, so plan on driving or using a rideshare. Overall, though, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for comfort, space, and convenience near John Wayne Airport. I'd definitely stay again.
- 5/5
I liked that the property is close to Disneyland. The room is spacious and has a kitchenette with a full size fridge. The property also serves a complimentary breakfast buffet, which is nice. Lastly, the staff was friendly and helpful. Kudos to the head of housekeeping, she’s very nice, and kudos to Joey, he was wonderful as well.
- 5/5
Best place to stay in Irvine
- 5/5
Best place to stay with family.
- 5/5
Excellent. Feels like home.
- 5/5
Clear
- 4/5
Didn’t enjoy bathroom locks. Couldn’t find ICE machines
- 1/5
I asked them to print me a confirmation of the cancellation and they said they were unable to do so and instead wrote the info on a purple post it. We contacted hotels.com while sitting in the lobby and they tried to contact the property to confirm the issue. Hotels.com was unable to reach them directly. While on the phone with hotels.com for 30 minutes, we witnessed several other parties checked-in and able to proceed to their room. We even spoke to a family to confirm they just checked in and were headed to their room with their keys in hand and luggage in tow. I don’t know the exact reason they denied our stay - but I definitely won’t be recommending this property in the future.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
It would be better if parking would be complimentary, we paid $25 for the night which is high.
- 5/5
I really love very clean and safe
- 2/5
As the property is nice and so are the rooms the problem was the continuous problems with parking. Tagged two times and at check in was never told they charge to park your car in the parking lot. So i occurred a extra 125.00 fee forparking on the property.while being harrassed ievery night the car would be towed.
- 4/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Nice place to live
- 5/5
Paying extra for parking.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Had an amazing stay. I loooove how cozy our room was. It felt like home tbh and its a convenient location.
- 2/5
Room distribution is not appropriate. breakfast is ok given the value for money.
- 5/5
Quiet and great food
- 3/5
But we did not receive blankets for the pull out couch in a timely request. We asked and when we called back they said they had a shift change and never heard of our request. By then we had fallen asleep. There was blood stains on two pillow cases and we were short pillows. They said no extra pillows were available. The bathroom in the queen bed part of the room did not flush and would make weird noises. We lost something and left a voicemail for housekeeping, they never returned our call. Front desk staff was nice and always had a smile on their face, but rooms need updating. And better care of cleaning.
- 5/5
The bathtub was a little slippery after taking a shower, but other than that we wanted to stay longer.
- 4/5
The front desk is not friendly at all. Also, it’s not a location that would require parking fees and $20 a night is a bit extreme. Also, they charge $18 a night for a “resort fee”. For what? I’m not sure. They don’t have anything above and beyond the normal pool and small gym. On their website it says the added fee is only $10, so it seems they make up their own prices as you check in. They offer an option to request late check out on the TV. They also send you a welcome text when you arrive telling you to text them if you need anything. I texted them to ask for late check out AND requested it on the TV but heard nothing at all. When I finally called down, they gave 30 minutes extra only. I just am not impressed with the way this site is run, but overall it’s a good hotel with affordable rates. Just beware of the other stuff.
- 4/5
Front door cover keep falling off
- 5/5
This is great hotel very convenient and easy to get to. Especially like that breakfast was included. Staff were very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was great and cleann
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Great place today with friendly staff
- 5/5
All good except for something inside the room that triggered allergy reaction.
- 4/5
Great rooms and staff. Area excellent lots of dining options.
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
Hotel and staff is great. We love staying with Staybride hotels. My only complaint is when I normally book with Expedia, I pay to the penny what is told. I knew I was going to have to pay for parking here, but what we were not prepared for was having to pay a hotel "resort fee". With both of those included, our hotel stay ended up costing $200 more than we had budgeted for, and it made other plans in our trip very difficult to pay for. Everything else about this hotel was great. Don'tind the fee, but when you book here because it's an affordable option, it doesn't feel that way after all the fees.
- 5/5
It was clean breakfast was good
- 5/5
So worth it
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
5 star hotel
- 1/5
I didn't stay but the fact that you guys charged me 330 dls for not cancelling on is not acceptable. These 330 we're gonna be used for our Disney vacation and you a**holes messed up everything. I don't understand if you're a part of Expedia why is it that I didn't get any email as reminder about the request?? You guys are horrible
- 5/5
The Staybridge Suite in Irvine was a comforatble and convenient stay. The team member (Sandra) who checked us in as well as the team member who checked us out (I didn't catch her name), both made the ease of check-in/out efficient and stress free.
- 5/5
Everything great
- 5/5
Clean, safe, entertaining.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
breakfast was always on time and good options.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Hotel was clean. Only issues; alarm clock was plugged into an outlet that turned off with a switch by the entrance (took two days to figure out why the clock kept turning off and on) and most of the charging stations did not work.
- 5/5
Safe, clean
- 4/5
Good place to stay. They offer breakfast until late about 9:30 ~10AM?
- 4/5
There will always be this Front desk who will be a little less polite than the rest. I am pertaining to the female front desk in the morning. Training can take it a long way!
- 5/5
The staff were super helpful and the entire stay was very good
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
This property is very nice. The only down side was having to pay for parking.

The price was good the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big. The breakfast was good. Better than most. The only thing I could find wrong with the room was the top of the refrigerator was filthy. Other then that it was a nice stay for our needs

Staff were friendly. Large eating area. Breakfast and food was great. Easy access to parking. Location is great. Will definitely book again.

Breakfast Monday morning was horrible. Not enough plates, and when they would bring out clean plates, it was 4 at a time. No hot water, no bagels, no waffle batter. No seating during breakfast. Charged $20 per night to park in an open parking lot which was NOT stated anywhere on the site or in an email. Rooms were clean and included a convection stove, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. Most employees were pretty rude when asked a question. Breakfast staff was nice but very under staffed.
