Staff were kind and accommodating.Great hospitality to us and our doggies.Location is central to everything food, shopping and more shopping.Our son goes to UNF ..We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Quiet room, lots of room amenities like full sized fridge, microwave; excellent staff; decent breakfast. The property could use some updating but the management said they were evaluated recently and would get some updates soon. Great location in St Johns Town Center. Altogether a great experience and I would stay there again.

Breakfast is almost the same thing daily like scrambled eggs are there daily, no sunny side or over easy.Coffee at times is wonderful strong like some of us like it & other times it’s watery, way too light in which made me go to Starbucks, spending when I shouldn’t have too in order to enjoy a strong coffee. I notify management that curtains were ripped/torn just like I did last year &someone walked in without notifying me even though I had the do not disturb sign on door, the shower sliding doors get jammed &there was a panic and struggle opening due to missing handle.

I booked a room with the Peloton Bike in it for 4 days. When I arrived, we were unable to utilize the bike due to the login situation that needed the hotels information. I was told the front desk and they informed me that someone would come by to assisted. We waited an hour and a half for assistance but no one came. The front desk gave me points towards my points, which I appreciate, the reasoning for booking this specific hotel is for the amenity of the in room peloton. Beside that. It was a prime location for shopping and only a 20 min drive from the beach.

We had roaches in our room, linen had stains, sleeper coach was broken and didn't pull out, stayed a few days here and housekeeping never stopped by to offer clean towels or make beds. Had to go to the front desk for new towels. Some people were putting dirty towels outside there door. The only good thing I can say was that the breakfast was really good and they offered a nice variety...

We loved everything: the staff were friendly, the breakfasts were delicious, the room was spotlessly clean, and it was even bigger than we expected.

Staff was superb!! Suites are nice and big and very clean!! The only complaint I have is we didn’t get cleaning service when we asked. We were out of toilet paper, Kleenex, towels, trashes were all over flowing. The AC in the main living space wasn’t working good and we asked multiple times to get it looked at. Our stay was a week long visit so I don’t feel it was too much to ask for.

There was alot of mold in the bathroom, and when I mentioned to the front desk (Stephen) I was told that this is florida and mold happens. We live in florida and owned a couple of properties and NO mold is not normal. I feel that I was not given the attention of the importance and how severe mold can be our health.

This was my first time staying here. We stayed one night. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It is not a large hotel, which I prefer. The outside and inside lobby area was clean. Our room was clean and spacious, equipped with everything you need, especially if you had a longer stay. The breakfast buffet was good and best of all it's free. They had a variety of breakfast items. I had grits, eggs, sausage link and fruit, which was good. The hotel is directly behind St. John's Town Center Shopping. It was very convenient to walk out the hotel into the parking lot of the shopping center, my main reason for staying here. We didn't have a chance to go to the pool or fitness center Overall it was great experience. I will definitely make this my choice hotel when visiting South Jacksonville.

Very convenient place to stay as you can walk to many restaurants and shops in the town center. Surprisingly had a happy hour with food and beer & wine. Breakfast was great and big variety. Check in was easy and the lady at the front desk was very nice and fun.

I have stayed here many times and been very happy. Unfortunately this time they were out of “pool” towels and they were on back order. The women at the front desk would not give us bath towels to use at the pool. Completely ridiculous!

The room was an unexpected surprise. It was a very spacious, high end and plush king size bedroom. It was clean. It was immaculate. The small kitchenette was a great addition. However I did not need that. I booked room from Expedia and it was a $100 a night plus tax. It was a very nice clean and safe place. In the the center of St. John Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

This place was disgusting mold in the shower as soon I stepped in the room I started itching I don’t recommend this hotel to ANYONE I didn’t even stay there I left after 10 minutes and found another hotel

We had a great stay here. The hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had…especially the breakfast taco bar and the overnight oats. Those extra touches really made it stand out. I would definitely stay here again.

I did not end up staying at this property due to an issue during check-in. In this particular area, I generally prefer to use a digital key to limit interaction at the front desk, but during this visit I had to engage with staff. My interaction with the front desk employee was negative, and her attitude came across as unprofessional, which reinforced my initial concern. My partner later came in to follow up on the situation and inquire further. At that point, the manager, Precious, became involved and immediately sided with the front desk employee. The situation escalated, words were exchanged, and we were ultimately asked to leave without a refund. Following this experience, I canceled my Hilton Honors membership and will not be doing business with Hilton for the foreseeable future. I am sharing this as a factual account of what occurred so others can make their own informed decisions. While my experience does not speak to the physical condition of the hotel itself, interactions with front desk staff can significantly impact a guest’s experience to the point where the condition of the property becomes irrelevant.

Check in was at 3, we did not get a room until 4:30. Kids were running and jumping in the room right about my room all night after calling the front desk multiple times. Front desk would not answer phone, ever. Room was very nice and comfortable though.

The amazing front desk staff! When we arrived to check in, Hilton had a nationwide outage. They could not check anyone in. Luckily, I checked in on the app earlier that morning (love the convenience of the app). The night manager (I wish I could remember her name) jumped right into action. Because I checked in earlier she was able to get us in our room within 20 minutes! She was amazing, very professional, very calm and collected. Nothing at all.

What hotel in 2026 does not have hot water in the morning? It took 20 minutes for the hot water to appear in my room the second morning I stayed there. On the third morning, hot water never appeared. Absolutely ridiculous in 2026 for a namebrand hotel.

Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Heat didn’t not work well, froze the 2nd night. Fridge didn’t close all the way and the showers were gross.

There kitchen was barely stocked with basics. There wasn’t a ladle. We had to use measuring cups to scoop out sauce. We had to ask for small bowls to eat our chilli.

Location is a very super exciting location in heart of the retail district. My wife and I have stayed in other Homewood suites in the past. We were amazaed at how the floor in the kitchen was coming apart. We also turned on the shower and the shower head shooting water all over the bathroom. The bathroom sink was not repaired properly. The caulking build up was all around the faucet head. Trash all out in front of the door where you enter the hotel. Rusted door hinges, kitchen light switch had grease build up, not cleaned well. Again staying at many hotels the represent Hilto that was not up to Hilton standards.

Smelled like nothing but sewage on the 4th floor. All through the hallways and in the room. The odor was over powering. The shower didn't get hot and the breakfast was such a disappointment. Powered eggs that tasted like rubber. Cornbeef from a can which looked like dog food. On the other hand the room was clean and spacious. We had a king suite. Unfortunately I will not be staying there again.

What I loved I loved the location cause that was my first time there and I really don't like to drive places and staying there I didn't have to move my car. Everything was walking distance and me and my daughter loved it. It was her birthday and she always wanted to go to the cheesecake factory it was easy to find and walking distance . So for us it was a lovely location and lovely place to stay. Nothing everything was great!!!

When we got back from dinner and it was about 1.5 hours of us waiting through the whole process before we were settled in our new room. Breakfasts was not good tatter tots for potatoes eggs horrible. Outdoor trash outside of front door was never emptied and hotel has a small weird odor.

The hotel was an older facility but you would not know that from the pictures. The HVAC in my room was very loud when it was running. When I asked about it, the front desk people were aware of the problem and said all of the units made noises. There was long hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. Breakfast was good and it is located near a lot of stores.

The only issue I had was that the TV was not great. It did not have any smart TV features. You can't watch any of your TV streaming apps. I ended up having to watch TV on my tablet. They definitely need to upgrade those. Everything else was fine. Good location and friendly staff.

As someone who always does a detailed check of the room, I noticed a few maintenance issues—a stain on one of the pillowcases and curtains, a cracked compartment inside the refrigerator, and a broken light fixture above the bed. These are small things that most guests might overlook, but they stood out to me. Overall, the room was comfortable, quiet, and provided a restful night’s sleep. The only thing we didn’t love were the feather-down pillows, which flattened quickly and lacked support. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic. There was a wide variety of fresh, hot options—something for everyone. As someone visiting the Mayo Clinic with dietary restrictions, I truly appreciated having choices that worked for me, while my husband also found plenty to enjoy. In summary, the staff and breakfast were excellent, and though the room could use a few maintenance touch-ups, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

We arrived at 2:30 pm to see if we could be checked in early. The gentleman at the desk was nice but noticeably worried/frazzled. He told us that there werent any rooms available yet, he was talking to maintenance and housekeeping. He tried to work through the issue for roughly 40 min. More families came in and he finally was told by maintenance that he could use the rooms.We were sent to 102, the room was empty of people, but had not yet been cleaned and was still needing maintenance to finish doing their bath tub project. We went back to the lobby and ended up waiting until 5:17ish to be checked into that same room. The room was ok, but we could tell that the quality standard for maintenance given to the bath tub project was low. The front desk staff was very nice, but the quality we have come to know amd love from Hilton properies was not there. Having to wait for 2.5 hours after check in after a long day was too much.

Had to wait in the lobby for someone to check if the room had been cleaned. The hotel was far from capacity. This was my second stay this year and I returned because it is such an excellent experience the first time. This second time did not dissapoint either.

After requesting a ground floor (fear of heights) we were put on the top floor!! Very disappointed for what we expected. Breakfast was not exceptional.

Only complaint breakfast is Terrible n some of appliances in the room didnt work. Other than that no complaints wonderful place to stay

The frying pans need to be replaced as they are very dangerous to use. Teflon coatings have been scratched and they leach toxic chemicals into your food. Please consider replacing with ceramic coated pans or stainless steel. This is the second stay and pans were unusable. Otherwise the staff here are wonderful and the hotel is very comfortable. Love the beds and grateful for the gym. Please also have the floors and mats mopped in the gym as they are dirty.

The stay was great and the service was excellent, but the only thing was there was hair in the tub and on the sheets in the bedroom. It was corrected right away once brought to the staffs attention. It did not alter my stay news sheets were received and the stay was great.

Onsite coin laundry was clean and easy to use. Affordable cost and the machines did a great job cleaning my clothes. Thumbs up!

This area is a shopping and dining experience! It has everything. The staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. There were so many choices and I really liked that you could add so many flavorful toppings to spice up your eggs and toppings for oatmeal as well.

From check in to the free breakfast and everything in between, everything was awesome. The staff were quick at check in and even asked my preferred floor. The room was clean and the kitchen was very convenient for bringing food and snacks back. The free breakfast was great and they had plenty of options. Overall this was a fantastic stay. This property also sits behind a town center with tons of shopping and dining options as well as stuff for kids to do.

The front desk associate was very helpful. All staff that we encountered were friendly. Our room was clean. I was however disappointed to find there was no protective covering on the mattress. There was only a thin mattress pad and fitted sheet. Honestly that grossed me out and i didn't discover it until the next morning. The bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. The showers water pressure was underwhelming.

We have stayed in newer facilites that was not a nice and clean as this facility. The area is a great location as well. We will be back in a few weeks since I travel for work.

The property is in a great location close to shopping. Staff was very helpful. The only draw back we had was our refrigerator the first night kept leaking water on the floor . We informed management and they quickly moved us to another room. The breakfast is questionable. Not much to it. It seems like everytime we ate it . It was always cold. They could certainly do a better job in this area. Other than those two things it was good stay.

This place is great, for a night close to everything and the hotel is clean, staff are wonderful.

The light switch for the bathroom includes a nightlight when the bathroom light is not on. The nightlight is inside the bedroom. If light bothers you while you sleep, bring something to cover it (electrical tape, bandaid, etc). Pillows were awful. Bed was ok not the best but not the worst ever. We had a pleasant stay. Super convenient and quiet. They do place an additional $50 hold on your card even though Expedia already placed said hold on your payment.

Check in process was hprrinle. 20 minute wait necause Essence the counter rep needed to take her sweet time taking reservations on the phone while there were 6 people online waiting to check in. Then there was no water during the day for 3 days. And at 9:30am they are knocking on my door to checkout when its not even 11am yet.

I always love staying at this hotel. I did have a noise issue coming from a pool party happening at the property hotel and I asked to be moved to a room where I could sleep better and I was transferred to another room right away.

The noise above me was crazy. There was a lot of traffic and adults coming in and out all hours of the night. We could not sleep and we had to bang on the ceiling for them to settle down. If you have a suite here there is more than one room over you. So you will hear the noise. The hotel compensated be with points but if you go through expedia and you are not a Hilton rewards member. No compensation!!!!

This hotel is located within walking distance of the St John Town Centre and the rooms are very spacious.

The rooms were cozy with a comfortable bed. The employees were always nice and helpful… We will stay there again next time we stay in Jacksonville!

There was insufficient notice for the tub and water disruption. The contractors left the hotel room open. It would be helpful to let guests know about the repairs in advance when guests are making reservations, not the night before repairs are scheduled so we can decide on another hotel.

I love that it is close to everything, shopping, eating, misc.

The staff was extraordinary... from the person who checked in to the final person who said farewell!

We found a cockroach in the room, also reported they the TV in the bedroom was not working it was blue the image, never changed, also where missing the privacy shades. When I made the reservation never was made aware that the room is s not cleaned every day.

The staff were all so kind and thoughtful! Room was clean, the free breakfast was varied and tasty. Property is a little worn, but we would definitely stay there again.

The staff members were very hospitable and caring.

We notified the front desk that the tv remote did not work and they said they would notify the manager and we never heard back. One lightbulb was out in the room. Shower curtain was dirty. Water pressure in the shower was low. I asked where the ice machine was and the lady at the front desk firmly told me that they did not have ice machines because the rooms had refrigerators with ice makers. Unfortunately for me the ice maker was off in the room so I did not get ice!

we stayed for a week during easter vacation and i’m so happy i chose this location. everything you need is within walking distance but the hotel is tucked away, so you’re not in the middle of all the shopping and dining. the staff was very helpful and the daily breakfast buffet included with our stay was delicious and full of options. would highly recommend this location, especially those traveling with kids/ family.

Subpar stay compared to past stays at this hotel. Pillows were awful, old work out pillows made for a sleepless night. Been better in the past. Breakfast was very good. Front desk staff very good. Noisy ac unit. Don’t like the smokers area by the front door. Have to walk through smokers, ugh! Big carpet stains by the 3rd floor elevator were gross.

The front desk host, Ice, was amazing! She was great at fitting me in when my Expedia reservation didn't go thru. She was the absolute best! The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic! However, my room wasn't the greatest (not their fault since they were full) but I heard the other rooms were nice. Mine, however, was dated and really run down.

The ladies at the desk were friendly and helpful. The room was very nice - roomy, clean, and well equipped with appliances and cooking utensils. The breakfast buffet was just right - ample but not over the top as some hotels are. I trcommend without reservation.

Excellent

I was very excited to stay at The homewood suites in St. John’s town center because of the location. The location is PERFECT! However, the room was visibly unclean the bathtub was filthy, globs of hair on top of the drain in the shower, dog hair everywhere, human hair in the corners of the bathroom, lifted the sheets back strains of hair underneath, a bug crawling in the shower and wash cloths and towels were dingy of past dirt. This made the stay very disappointing. I could not sleep and was happy to leave. So very unfortunate, I really expected more.
