    The staff I found to be friendly but the hotel was dirty and dated. I found a couple of small roaches in our room and the hallway stunk, couldn't figure out what the smell was. I would not stay there again.

    This property was quiet. Rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. The one thing that I did not like was the carpet in the hallway it clearly needs to be replaced and I think it’s a fall hazard. I would stay again

    The room on the day of arrival was good. The rest was not that good. Everything went worse after that. We expected more for what we paid for the hotel. 1. Hotel did not accept cash payment. 2. We booked our hotel online, there was no way upon arrival to adjust a military discount. Then no respect to military members. 3. Hotel has full service room cleaning in 3 days even if the room is mess. It meant we had to tell them what to do, i.e., we had to request it. 4. There was not a regular check of breakfast items by a staff member to see if it is out and they need to bring more, Somebody had to mention them about it to supply more. 5. There was not a fresh coffee afternoon, What was there a coffee left from breakfast. 6. there was no staff member to bring requested items to the rooms, passenger had to come down to the reception and take it.

    I needed a place for a business trip & most rooms were sold out in the city because of the TPC tournament. Staff was great & the hotel was clean. Landscaping/grounds need some attention & it appeared that new hot water heaters were getting installed. Property is older & appears to be going through some maintenance or renovation. Not my first choice but grateful it was available.

    Everything was phenomenal, check in with Kenya to the room being BIGGER than other hotels. Cleanliness, comfort and the kids LOVED the pool. Breakfast was nice, laid out well. I did have someone take my waffle but he apologized and said this was his first experience (foreigner) and I tried to get him to understand that it was OK and I made another. It was a test for me, I know and I served this foreigner with grace and respect. Honestly do not know if there is anything I (or my family) disliked. Everything was adequate to our essentials and the staff (Kenya) exceeded our expectations.

    The elevators are on opposite ends of the building and there's only one on each end, making for long waits and we are older and didn't want to use the stairs. Also, the lighting in the hallways was quite dim and it would have been nice if they were a tad bit brighter. The breakfast was okay but not really all that great and the area where you get the food is to narrow and tight. There were many large people there and you end up bumping butts with them just trying to get by and thats not cool.

    Clean room. The hot water in the shower was incredibly disappointing. It stayed cool or cold the entire 45 minutes I tried using it. Strangely, the sink water got extremely hot, so I had to use that just to finish washing up. Definitely an issue that needs to be fixed.

    I thought “how bad could it be” with the bad reviews and turns out it was worse than I thought. No hot water for showers, bath towels were tiny, old, and had brown stains, barely any lighting in the room or in the hallway, bathroom doors were weird old French doors and wouldn’t close all the way, large areas of paint were chipped everywhere, the pillows were like 1 inch thick, and the “breakfast” was rough…. Ended up going out to breakfast and checking out of the hotel after 1 night

    Breakfast was good, would be better if the hot food had some variety instead of the same 2 items every day. Remodeling is nice but seems work was not inspected, for example, our fire alarm kept going off so we had to disconnect it from the wiring to stop it, hot and cold in the bathroom sink were reversed and the TV only worked the first out of 4 nights.

    There was no hot water in the shower. It got warm enough to shower but never more than barely above tepid. Most breakfast items were fresh but the sausage patties were dry and hard. The cleaning staff was always friendly but the front desk staff seemed more interrupted than eager to help/check-in. The property was clean but noisy. We had a king suite and the room itself was great. For the location and price, we would stay again and just make sure we had hot water next time.

    The hotel was clean and the check-in and check-out attention deserve 5 stars, however the reason why I choose the hotel is looking for comfort and the bed creaking the pillows were not comfortable I did not have a good night since I woke up with a strong back pain. The gym was unseeable, nothing worked nor did it have air conditioning. The breakfast deserves 5 stars it was also very good and complete. Anyway, if I had to stay again I wouldn't do it since as I said I look for comfort and I didn't have it but I don't want the other services to go unnoticed for those who are looking for a good breakfast and good customer service.

    Property under renovation. My door would not lock unless I slammed the door very hard. Many restaurant options in the area but no sidewalks for pedestrians.     The best part about this place was the staff. They are very friendly and accommodating... and deserve a raise for working in such a sad hotel while maintaining really nice customer service.     Yes, the property is under renovation, but that doesn’t excuse the overall poor condition of everything else. The elevators, doors, and hallways were dirty, and even the outside was unkempt. We also saw roaches in the halls and common areas, which was unacceptable. Our room itself was no better—our bathroom had not been cleaned properly, and the towels provided were either stained, worn out, or clearly not sanitary. We truly wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but the cleanliness and upkeep fell far below even basic standards.

    Even worse, both my sister and I heard a pitter patter footsteps at night (seperate occasions), like something scurrying across the floor. We noticed a hole near the head of one of the beds, and we suspect that’s where it came from. We tried to investigate further but didn't find anything (not scat or other evidence of a rodent). Noise was also a constant issue—you can hear nearly everything going on in the hallways. On top of that, on our second day our room keys were deactivated for no reason, and we had to get new ones. Clearly, there’s little attention to detail here. The place feels gross and neglected, which makes you question how clean the rooms actually are. Overall, aside from check-in, I cannot recommend this hotel.

    The staff was excellent and professional. My first room was not clean. The overnight desk clerk got me a new room. She checked it over to make sure it was clean before I went in. She even offered to help me move my stuff. She was so polite and professional. The morning staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast assistant kept the eating area clean and the food items stocked. You have a great staff. Just make sure your housekeepers change the bed linens after every stay!

    The hotel was adequate and good for the price I suppose. The room was set to 65 degrees when we came in and very cold. Overnight, the AC unit leaked condensation all over our floor, getting some of our things wet. We also had booked the room for 3 people and only had towels for two.

    This property is 1-2 stars, Dirty bedding, one towel per soon, no soap, the bath is dirty, everything is in extremely poor condition. Will never stay here and do not recommend for anyone else to stay here for almost $100 per night you can stay pretty much anywhere else and not risk getting a skin infection.

    Horrible. Checked in and almost immediately left. Black mold in the bathroom and dirt all over the walls. Room beat up and halls dirty as well. Elevator door looked like it had been in a fire. Sent a message and no response was ever given. Took photos and a video (won’t let me upload). I want my money back. Had to rebook at another hotel.

    Bathroom door does not close properly. The booking was for 5 people and they only had 2 towels, 1 bar of soap, no shampoo and had to give us 2 fitted sheets to sleep on the sofa bed. No one at front desk after 10pm and they do not arrive until 10am. It is beyond obvious the management does not care at all! Of course it will not allow me to upload photos.

    Although I understand the property is undergoing reconstruction, I'm a person who likes carpet so I'm not a fan of the carpet being taken out & the room was decent but I feel like renovations could of been better. The most uncomfortable part about my stay was the fact that I could hear everything going on outside the door. Dogs barking, people arguing/talking & doors slamming. I even heard people upstairs hanging around. I've stayed at this property previously but my stay was nothing compared to this time. I will more than likely not be returning.

    This place was absolutely filthy. Kicking myself for not reading the reviews. The carpets were disgusting as well as the entire building and furniture inside of it. Pool uninhabitable. People drinking and loitering at the hotel all night and even first thing in the morning. People climbing in and out of the windows. We witnessed an altercation in the room above us followed by a gun shot. We felt physically unsafe as well as unsafe due to the cleanliness. We will be reporting this facility to the health department. The manager poses a comment to every bad review however if a manager was really trying to clean up the place they would not allow and enable the behavior of people hanging around it. Do not stay here. We stayed in room 123 supposed to be a family “suite.”

    I paid for a renovated suite. Got to the property and was told there were no suites available. She said she was working on it and she did. However, it was not renovated, hair was in the bed and shower (water was not and never got hot), paint peeling off of the furniture, lights flickering (like a disco), toilet seat chipping, couch was stained and wet, table had a huge tar like patch of sticky stuff on it, people having a cookout in the parking lot at 2AM (two nights), I felt unsafe the entire stay.

    During check in we had to wait because of shift change, at night when we returned there weren’t any HP spots and a man outside entrance was smoking pot, it appeared that there were homeless people staying there, doors were slamming shut at 3:00 am and upon leaving the odor of smoke lingering in the hallway, and the continental breakfast was very disappointing, saw a woman eating then gathered more food and headed back to her room. This hotel was a disappointment.

I even asked attendant at front desk the morning ( sunday) for housekeeling to room and no house keeper came ( maning trashed was stacked up and i didnt have fresh towels) .     The property is under renovation—at least on the outside…but the main elevator door is very old—it’s rusty, people drew on it—the elevator is very slow. The paint in our bathroom is a poorly painted job with patches coming off; our front door didn’t lock properly…more than 3 tries to lock it shut from the outside were necessary. Front desk staff was excellent. Price was good but you get(property wear and tear) what you pay for.

    The guest in the room next to us was extremely loud and the kids was even louder, Especially when you’re a no kid traveler. I understand kids are going to be kids but as parents we have to advise them of the convince of other guests. We called the front off and they came and knocked on the door and they did not answer but exactly 15 to 20 minutes later the noise was.back

    I've been at La Quinta Inn several times, but this is the first time I've stayed in a very old, dirty, noisy (slamming doors, yelling, running thru corridors at late night). I have to go back to Jacksonville this coming week but I am not going back to La Quinta....so disappointed :(

    The hotel was alot of noise. They played music all nite couldnt sleep. There was only 1 elevator working at the end of hall. It seems like families live there fulltime. I will never stay there again. Ill never use a laquita again. It was located on the strip of hotels but it needs to be closed down. Thw tub had black stuff around the mat. The carpet was dirtty amd the room smelled. The halways smelled like pee.

    The building was not well kept. One elevator operating for a property of this size- I was told under Renovations but the only area that looked as if renovated is the lobby. There was no notice until you checked in , and then told they could only place on certain floors. Friendly signs excusing the work in progress would have been nice. CLEANLINESS- and on the site . The passageways, elevator were not clean. Elevator floor didn’t look like it had been Cleaned in some time. Trash in bags sitting in corners I never saw or heard a vacuum being Housekeeping should have been better to keep clean despite renovations — ROOM— supposedly renovated . Just the door paint looked new, but a poor job — the dirt at the bottom of the doors must have been painted over. Bath fixtures and finishes stained , , peeling. The mattress— stained. Outlets were very loose for charging The microwave - looked decades old. TRAFFIC- some people on site seemed like they just wandered in , visiting different rooms - I didn’t see security on site so this definitely caused an uneasy feeling. There were parties, loud music in rooms, whereas it took 3 requests to have someone address the matter. La Quinta this place should not offer rooms in these conditions. The quality for the Price is definitely poor. I definitely was overcharged. The Renovation crew is concerning I didn’t see signs of renovations, just disrepair / all over A Site visit is Highly recommended

    The price was ok and I knew from reading previois reviews that there had been renovations going on. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and the floors were sticky while walking on them, I had booked a room with 2 queen beds and we got a room with 2 full size beds not a big deal but still. Also when we went to use the shower the bath mat had a black line around the whole thing and then part of it peeled back showing black mold all underneath it. I informed the front desk of this and all she said was sorry no discount off or offering of changing rooms. The elevator is all stained and scuffed up and creaks and squeaks going up and down and jerks when it comes to a stop.

    Absolutely disgusting. I would never book with hotels.com or la Quinta again. Room was absolutely disgusting and had roaches along with dirty carpet and and dirty walls. Couldn’t even stay there one night. Again don’t stay at this La Quinta in Jacksonville or book with hotels.com. Didn’t stay in the room at all and was unable to be refunded despite pictures and videos of the deplorable conditions. -10/10

    Upon entering the lobby it wreaks like Marijuana. Not sure if it's the staff smoking or people staying there. There was one lady sitting in the lobby vaping, perhaps she had a marijuana vape. The whole lobby and elevator stunk, not a place I was happy to walk into with my wife and kids but we had already paid via expedia and cancellation was not allowed. Once we arrived in the room, it was nice and remodeled and did not stink. As long as you plan to stay in the room, it's an ok spot, we were only there for a night, passing through town. Just be prepared for the stench of skunk marijuana in the lobby.

    The pool full of algae and the jacuzzi too. I felt that either one of my kids or I would of gotten a disease from it. I’ve stayed in horrible hotels. This is one of them. The breakfast was ok. The breakfast lady was probably the only nice staff there. Two ladies of the reception were a little rude. Never will I ever stay here. There was also a man in the stairway smoking marijuana. The people doing the construction there were not friendly at all either. I stayed there two nights, I regret not leaving and booking to another hotel. I never leave reviews, but I felt this one had to be done to warn other people.

    Great hotel. Don’t understand negative reviews. The hotel was clean and in the process of being renovated. Breakfast area is lovely. The best is we had a dog and the walk around the lake in the front of hotel was perfect. Clean and my dog and l loved it. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated. My advice to customers would be book this hotel and ignore negative reviews.

    Unfortunately, the hotel was under renovation, so a little dust and mess was expected. There were bugs inside the drawers and in the bathroom. Along with mold, rust, grime filled tub, missing lock for hotel room door on the inside, no room number on the outside of the door, and musty smell throughout the hotel and room. Definitely not worth it. We needed a hotel room in a pinch as our VRBO canceled due to a Water main leak.

    The second floor of this hotel is apparently undergoing renovations. The interior of the elevator is not in good shape, either, with a rusty floor that is definitely in need of some attention. Outside of the elevator, there's wall paper all over and plastic on the carpet. And the hallway has a horrid smell that is, I there is from the "Velcro" carpet that is hanging off the walls there. The room is not much better either, with dirty carpet, a phone that hasn't been cleaned, refrigerator doors that were sticky and had to be disinfected, and a mattress with a big dip in it. The lamp could also be better. At least the staff is nice.
