Red Roof Inn Jacksonville Airport

I really don’t like giving negative reviews often, but this time it’s necessary. The only things that were good at this place was the front desk clerk was nice, the pillows were ok, the room actually didn’t stink, and nothing real bad happened. Unfortunately this was the most run down and sketchy place I have ever stayed. There was a t.v. in the room but it didn’t work, and the air conditioning kept turning off no matter what the temp was. There were people watching us when we took stuff into our room. Then when we left at 6am the next morning, there was a couple of people watching us put stuff in our car, then watched us leave. Pretty nerve racking situation. The only reason we stayed is because we only needed the room for one night, and I don’t recall the reviews being that bad. I’m sorry to say, it’s horrible. Don’t stay there if you can avoid it.

Nothing The bums that hung out there it smelled like urine from the humans and the raccoons that they are feeding. I killed 3 roaches and there were about 10 baby roaches grouped up in the ceiling of the bathroom. The curtains had burn holes ( big ones).

Nothing Drug deals in parking lot sent me to the first room walked in on some lady walking out of bathroom half nakedvsent me to room already occupied would give me a refund dirty sheets very grudgy like a trap house vibe pretty sure people there were mostly homeless staying with friends

Disappointed! Horrible! Very dirty, smelling a lot cigar even in our non smoking room. Vanity clogged and nothing to do with the pictures in the app. Linens with stains. Noisy and really bad neighborhood! Not recommended!

I only came to sleep and shower. However there was a hole in the wall of the bathroom, hair everywhere. It looked like it had't been vacuumed or mopped in idk how long. The TV was slightly tilted towards the ceiling rather than towards the beds. I would not use this hotel again.

In my room, the only things that worked were the water and the AC. TV didn’t work, the floor felt sticky, and the place just looked worn out and not clean. Customer service was poor, no effort at all. And the area around it doesn’t feel safe either. I wouldn’t come back. Not recommended.

The lady that checked me in & other staff was very nice. The room smelled like smoke (it was the drapes) - Was a basic, inexpensive room close to the Airport that is walking distance to restaurants. Room had a fridge & Micro. Nothing special - but staff was nice & that made the difference to me.

Ash spoke to Lita from Red Roof to have me refunded 1 day off unused stay but never heard back from them or manager Harry. I left my information for refund. Christie Corpuz Room 108, 1 day refund for March 14 is owed. Please help me get my refund. Thank you

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Property didn’t feel safe, wasn’t clean, had a terrible smell. We changed room due to noise and cleanliness. The “upgraded” room which we had to pay extra for was in worst shape than the previous room but at least it was in a quieter area of the hotel. Unfortunately staff was not helpful initially. It’s been a long time since I had such a terrible experience and we only stayed at the hotel from 9pm to 7am.

Staff was nice and helpful but the condition of the motel sucks. Water was leaking from the toilet. Sheets appeared clean but the mattresses were dirty and had blood staines on it. The door was dirty and the towels were dingy. The room had a nasty smell to it. The chair was dirty and the latch lock on the door was loose. I sprayed the room, sheets, blankets, and pillows down with 91% alcohol. The area is not safe. It is infested with drug activity. You can tell that the people who stay there are selling drugs and turning tricks. Some were walking around high. Five minutes after I went in my room someone was knocking on my door and they were whispering outside. I never answered the door. I think after day one they knew not to bother me. No more cheap hotels for me. I’ll rent an Airbnb.

I will NEVER book here again it took staff 20 minutes to come to the desk to check me in. the floors and walls were dirty. Sink was clogged the whole stay. I knew it wouldn’t a luxury stay but this was just horrible

Rooms are old out dated and overly priced ..the towels are thin and really old and hard....mold is very visible in the superior king rooms..the bigger the room the smaller the TV... front desk manager his name is Harry... Harry is very rude to guest and staff... Harry clearly is a racist and he doesn't mind displaying his racist behavior he doesn't provide effective customer service and speaks rude all the time its uncomfortable and provoking. Most of the staff are the residents which is convenient for Harry but there after hours activities and behaviors are very illegal from the drugs being smoked even drugs being sold. Domestic violence was a regular thing. This hotel has a for sale in the parking lot it needs to be given away the style of the rooms is stuck in the 80's era

They kicked me out when I didn’t get paid and the managers kept my stuff and said if I come there I’ll be arrested. I had friends try and get it for me and they refused when I have over 3,000 of stuff. Very professional, and they also over charged me for the room to thier own liking.

This place was disgusting, first the girl at the front had a nasty attitude like she didnt want to be bothered, secondly the room smelled like mildew and old cigarettes. The bathroom shower walls were so filthy you could see where the dirt lines are, the mattress wasnt even a mattress just some springs, cause want no cushion on that bed my side hurts so bad from springs sticking me all night . than something started biting me like omg . I really wish i would have spent the extra money and went else where. This use to be a pretty decent motel a couple years ago it has really went trash. And they have nevers to have a reward program for what. never again

Overall you get what you paid for. The staff was friendly but it definitely does not look as pictured when booking it. The room was extremely humid at all times. Even with the AC on everything just stayed damp in the air.

The room was dingy. The smell was terrible. Tge bed was uncomfortable and the people partying outside my room until 6 am was just the icing on the cake. Also no refrigerator in the room and have to upgrade to a different filthy room to be provided one.

As I was stopping through and had a lot of items in my car I did not want to unpack, and did not feel comfortable in the area to leave my car unattended. The room stank like smoke, I had 2 guys smoking outside my bedroom window, my room looked like it had been occupied before me. I walked out and found a different hotel. I chose safety over $70.

Had cigarette burn marks on the toilet Worst place ever oh and when I checked in the receptionist was outside playing music chilling with the people that staying there very ghetto. and on the way up to my room, some homeless guy was stopping me in the stairway trying to sell me stuff that he probably stole… this is crazy. No wonder you guys had a two star.

The problem with this place is old and not cleaned well, the pool was filled with dirt! The ice Mac did not work the tv only worked on one or two channels the room smelled of smoke the sheets were stained there were burn holes on some towels!!

Everything about the overnight stay here was awful. Burn marks in sheets, dirty towels, smoke detector hang off the wall, door bolts broken. All around scary place to stay.

When I arrived I had to sign a form saying I would not engage in selling drugs, prostitution, use weapons, etc. I had not checked the reviews since I was on the road and just needed a place to sleep. Towels were paper thin. No fridge or microwave so had to throw out food. All night there weee shouts from the parking lot. Scary place.

My stay was relaxing and the check-in/out process was very quick and the staff was quite friendly. I'm sorry to say that cleanliness was very disappointing. I always carry paper towels, Chlorox wipes, and window cleaner in my car. I used a half a container of wipes cleaning the furniture, front door, a/c unit, bath vanity, and toilet. There were only 2 sets of thin, under-sized towels, no bath mat, and only 1 trash can. I can assure you that the room was cleaner when i left than when i arrived.

There were floor pieces coming up from the bathroom floor by the toilet, also there was hairs seen on the toilet rim and shower. It had a musty smell upon entry, the beds were pretty hard, and the pillows were flat. We did however have pretty good front desk staff who tried to help with the pillow situation. Overall it’s ok.

But the property is run down /hardwood floor was gritty not swept or mopped/ terrible flat pillows / lots of people traffic walking thru parking lot that were not staying there/ we ask they claim to not have any issues but I was a little worried about our vehicle and checked on it thru out the night! We got what we paid for. It was pretty cheap. It was okay but not great. The staff was somewhat professional. He wasn't over the top friendly but he wasn't rude. The bed was a little hard to sleep on and the bathroom wasn't very clean. The parking lot could use a little work. The area didn't feel safe. A lot of people were hanging out in the parking lot at night.

Non-smoking room smelled like a smoker had just walked out; burns on mattress and mattress cover. Filth everywhere, even on lamp. Nothing looked clean enough to touch. Front desk was very unhelpful but also not surprised at all when I returned to check out immediately and ask for a refund.

we stayed here one night after a long international trip, we picked it because of its proximity to the airport and the pictures looked nice. When we got there the room smelled of a strong chemical, it looked run down, fire alarms were missing, the bathroom sink was clogged and overall it looked like it was in dire need of TLC and a deep renovation. In terms of service, the person at the desk when we arrived was not very welcoming either, the morning person when we checked out was a bit nicer.

The room was big and clean and the bed was fine. The staff (Kay) was awesome! Having Denny's next door is a definite plus. However, the the microwave didn't work, the refrigerator did not get cold, The television remote was dead, and there was no phone in the room! If everything thing had been working properly, it would have been better.

As soon as I walked into the room it felt unsafe with neighbors asking for money and how long my stay was.

I arrived at the hotel and they had no reservation listed for me. I showed the attendant the email confirmation and number from hotels.com. She never could find it?! Fortunately I didn’t prepay and they had rooms. I paid (hopefully only once) and had a pleasant stay. This hotel is very dated! The AC didn’t work very well and the walls are super thin. The bed was a hard mattress on a slab of wood. Don’t think I’d choose this one again. I chose it as it was 2.6 miles to the JAX airport so it was super convenient as I had an early morning flight.

The room smelled like smoke, there was blood on the toilet seat, there was someone passed out in the grass, and they took a copy of my driver’s license and it just felt inappropriate to do so. If you all have that many issues you have to take drastic security measures, then you need to figure it out.

The place was the least expensive in the area for a one-night stay; this is why it was selected. The reception desk was manned by two completely disinterested personnel (one upon arrival and one upon departure). While we were there, the police were in the parking lot arresting two intoxicated persons; we ate at the next-door Dennys and while there we observed the police arresting another individual at the gas station on the other side of Dennys. There are a few homeless encampments in the patch of woods in between the hotel and Dennys. Spend an extra $10-20 and stay somewhere else - this place is scary.

The worst red roof we have stayed in. Our room was right next door to a room boarded up. The sheets had cigarette burns and were yellow. I had to sleep on top of my own blanket because the bed was so nasty. The people here were smoking and sketchy.

This was a last minute booking, and I respect that people live here full time. However, as a motel it was in pretty bad shape, a very dirty room (worst I had ever seen), extremely long and unorganized check-in, and a generally unsafe feel. I would not recommend staying here if there are other options.

I stay in red roof Jacksonville airport. Mr. front desk is not friendly room is not clean. I asked her for a quiet room in the back. It is very late-season, but I was told not available. Not many car in the parking lot. Definitely not recommend red roof. Jacksonville airport.

I've stayed in Red Roof hotels before so I'm well aware that they aren't updated or comparable to a room at the Hilton, but this location was disgusting. There was a fruit fly type infestation in the bathroom. As soon as I turned the water on they came flying out of the faucet head and drain. It was so gross that I packed my bags first thing in the morning and skipped the shower. People were partying until 5am. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything. No sleep. No shower. No shampoo. No coffee maker. Some lady had her Rotweiler off leash walking through the parking lot. I will never stay at a Red Roof again.
