A little rough

Very clean and staff was very polite

The room was ok, everything else was pretty rough. Hot tub doesn’t work, elevator is very sketchy and no stairs, all around just dirty and damaged property. Very underwhelming

The AC throughout the building appeared to be out, except in the individual rooms. All of the windows were open and fans were running, but there was still a very strong unpleasant odor throughout the hotel that became even worse inside the rooms. It also appeared that several rooms may have had long-term occupants, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. On top of that, both the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance with no known date of opening. Unfortunately, the overall conditions were bad enough that we chose not to stay and ended up booking a room at a completely different hotel instead.

We specifically booked this hotel for the pool & hot tub for us and our kiddo. The hot tib was lukewarm the first day, then literally scalding, dangerously hot, the next. Both days, the staff put chemicals in the pool in the morning so the first half of both days it was not accessible. By the time we could use it on the last day, we had to check out. Why not treat the pool at night when it closes? Nevermind the fact most things were filthy, and our door was unlocked and ajar upon arrival. Super disappointing stay. Would never again.

The young woman at the front desk was pleasant, but cleanliness and facility maintenance was very unsatisfactory. I recommend paying an extra $50 for something decent.

I liked the location and that's about it. The property is in need of repairs and maintenance. We had cracked tiles in the bathroom and mould growing in areas. It smelled of marijuana and cigarette smoke.

I prolly won't stay their again.

After checking in we noticed the pool was closed. The side door to the hotel is broken. The stairs to get to our room were covered in filth! Cans of beer left on the window cill in the hallway. 10 men were hanging in the hallway outside of our room playing music and talking in the hallway outside our door all night. I was honestly scared, thought they came in through the broken door to get warm and hang out. And piles of dog poop all over the property, gross!

There was no breakfast. There was dog poo everywhere. The room across the hall had dogs barking all day and night. People had the pets all over the lobby including on the furniture and dog hair was everywhere. The whole reason for booking was to get in the pool and spa tub. It was closed most of our stay. The floor titles were coming up. About 5-7 people sat in the hallway being loud and drinking beer and eating. When complaining to staff they were nonchalant. I understand some people may live there but it is not their home and they should not be treated better than the people eating for a short period of time. Rules should apply to everyone.

The room was very dirty, food left in the corner on the carpet. The outside door does not lock. There is a huge amount of dog feces right outside the door as you exit and no waste bags for owners to use. The kitchen was not stocked with much at all. Will never stay there again. It was disgusting

I liked that it had a small kitchen and a normal refrigerator, that's what I wanted. I was disappointed that I paid for breakfast but it was not offered, except for coffee. Poor cleanliness, a lot of dust and insufficient basic amenities in the bathroom.

The location was a good place close to restaurants and stuff. It wasn’t clean, the room curtains was dirty, floors was cracked, the door to the room you could see out into the hallway it was cracked on the side so bad, stairwells was covered in leaves and just very dirty.

Close to many shops and restaurants!! Comfortable beds, nice kitchenettes, pool etc The elevator kept almost getting stuck so we took the stairs the rest of the time.

The room was a nice size and clean, but the paint on the walls and doors was falling off and the grout along the bathtub was black. Our door latch didn’t close unless we pulled up as hard as we could on the handle. Then it would latch and we could lock it. The location to where we needed to be was close and we liked that convenience.

This was honestly the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was mostly nice except one woman upon check-in. The rooms and common spaces were filthy. Our room smelled like mold and was covered in stains all over the carpet, drapes, pillow cases, and sheets. There were actual drops of blood on the comforter - not stains, but fresh blood. The toilet reeked of urine. Either the seal was broken or it is rarely cleaned. The closet floors were trashed with dirt and bits of food. It was truly disgusting. Please take the reviews for this hotel seriously and avoid it, it’s horrible.

The hot tub has moldy residue around the top rows of tile and even spots in the pool. No towels in the pool area either.

Side entrance door was broken and so many people were coming in and out of that door. I don’t even know if they were staying there. People were just hanging out in the parking lot smoking and drinking. People were loud in the hallways, running and yelling.

Jenni and Michelle at the front desk were extremely accommodating to the special needs of my aunt. I am super grateful and will highly recommend this motel and would stay there again

• Room conditions: When I checked in, the toilet was broken, there was no screen in the window (a huge safety hazard), and the walls and curtains were filthy. The sink smelled like rotting food and there was even a mustard packet and cigar in it. The A/C leaked under the bed, and several outlets didn’t work. • Safety concerns: On six separate mornings, maintenance staff tried to enter our room while we were inside—even attempting to use a key! There was also an unannounced “city inspection” where four men entered our room unexpectedly. Across the 10 days, 24 different staff members came into our room. It was extremely unsettling, especially as a woman. • Noise & disturbances: Loud parties outside until 2:30 AM, guests screaming in the hallways, and housekeeping waking us up at 8 AM on checkout day despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign. • Unprofessional staff: When I called for towels, I was told “you can come get them” and hung up on. When I called to speak to the manager, the front desk admitted they “knew exactly” what I was talking about with staff entering rooms—so this seems to be a known issue. This stay was unsafe, unsanitary, and unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had stayed here before, but I had called ahead to see if the hot tub was working and was told “it is today”. But when we arrived, the hot tub was running but the water wasn’t even warm. The water looked dark green and the bubbles were a brown color. And there was no breakfast anymore.

My room smelled of marijuana, a few of my towels were stained, the lack of an iron in my room, the tile on the floor was higher than the transition strip, elevator wasn't the cleanest and no regular coffee at the front this morning.

The room was really clean and modern. It was also very quiet The staff was our only issue. I booked a king room MONTHS in advance, and when we arrived they put us in a queen room and when I brought it up, they said they didn’t have any king rooms to move us to. They did give us a small discount, but the smaller bed really affected how well my husband and I slept.

Close to a lot of stores. Kitchenette was nice. Our room wasn’t thoroughly clean. Toilet kept getting clogged.. hallway smell like smoke, dirty, and out dated, the 3rd night the smell of smoke and marijuana was coming through our door.. loud in the morning.

The room was not cleaned and food on the floor and I had to sweep. The sheets had hair on the sheet and I had to replace all of sheet myself and clean.

When i walked into the room, it STUNK of sweaty socks. The smell was so pungent i had to go and buy a scented candle to mask the smell. The bed was super comfy but the bathroom was TINY.

Check-in process was slow, but grateful for early check-in. Pool was closed which ruined our plans for the evening. Room was dirty and needs updates. Outlets and tv didn’t work. Bathroom door and fan were extremely loud.

Rooms were very clean and newly renovated. No breakfast but we had a kitchen. Pool and hot tub not working. Basic workout room was nice. Coffee and tea in the morning.

Pool & Hot Tub were Great! Was awesome to be able to cook for my family instead of eatting out! Front desk evening lady was Amazing! Would def stay again.

We loved everything about the place my husband my son and I we're very happy with everything even the manager Victor was very good to us when my refrigerator door wouldn't shut Victor himself came up to my room to fix it they're amazing here pvery clean

This is definitely a value hotel, but I found the bed very comfortable and the amenities were nice. Fresh coffee in the lobby, very friendly and helpful staff. I really liked the full size fridge in the kitchenette, perfect for a family party weekend!

Rooms looked like they made an attempt to update … but pretty poor attempt.. 4 night stay without housekeeping is not a good look … had to exchange towels at front desk.

Poor circulation, the smell of old trash and pets in the hallways. Bathroom fan didn't work when it did very loud. If its a bed you need You get what you pay for.

The air conditioner was blowing air, but it never cooled down. It was so hot. The hallways and reception area was also very hot. The toilet was loose on the floor so it would move around. Otherwise everything else was ok for the price.

Nice rooms, fairly clean other than the floor was absolutely filthy. Somewhat questionable with location and patrons sitting on the floors in the halls. Overall it wasnt bad, we didnt have any problems at all. Would stay here again if ineeded to.

It was okay. Water pressure in shower was bad. The toilet screeched every flush. The lock didn’t lock all the way. The blinds don’t cover the full window and they try to charge for a late check out

We had to got to another hotel because you messed up the reservation. We reserved 2 Queen bed rooms and the rooms u reserved for us were 1 and the hotel was full.

The doors were dirty, like poop dirty, stains that can be cleaned. Stains in the shower, in the ceilings, stains in the bed spreads. The customer service was good. But some of the staff didn't even speak. No pool, when online it said it had it. It was closed for cleaning. The overall feel was that it was an older building. There was also ants like crazy.

It was ok, ive stayed at worse! The pool was trash and the hot tub was flagged off! Its definitely a cheap place to stay

Guy who checked me In was amazing! Explained to me the hot tub had a film on it but they didn’t want guests to be worried so they were putting an out of order sign on it but said I could still use it. The next day I was told by 2 different people to get out and I explained what was said to me but they still insisted so I got out. Pool was so nice and warm though so it worked out.

Hot tub had dirty bubbles, bathroom was dirty

Renovations were poorly made. The door frame was not level leaving me feeling uncomfortable. The room was not cleaned well as the microwave and back splash was dirty. In addition, a plastic bottle was found behind the couch.

The hotel was decent. Our room 217 was uneven. The floor was warped. So were the cabinets, and it made the fridge crooked. When in the shower the ineven floor made you lean fwd. While showering. Tripped on the floor several times during the nighht. The hitel is sinking and should cost a lit less than what i paid. House keeping once a week or upon request.

When I arrived at the property they did not have a room and could not fulfill my reservation. I contacted hotels.com and they contacted the property for me and thankfully provided a full refund. I am thankful for the help I received and how they advocated for me to process my refund.

A few things I didn’t enjoy… 1 apparently this is a pet friendly hotel which is great I love dogs. But the 2 dogs the were next door to each other having a barking contest all day when their humans were gone was not fun listen to. (They sounded huge not little yappy dogs) 2 the room could have been a bit cleaner. The bed and important stuff was fine. However, the fridge was just grimy on the outside but the inside was immaculate. The restroom was really clean but the hair dryer had what looked like red hair dye all over it. I cleaned it because I didn’t feel it was necessary to call the front desk about and I didn’t want to get blamed for it either. 3 the continental breakfast was very, well don’t count on it to be fulfilling. It was mini mini muffins, juice and coffee. While I didn’t count on that as my food source it came in handy when I woke up at 6 with a migraine and needed a bite to eat so I could take medicine and go back to sleep. (Btw there is a Dunkin’ Donuts close by and found the people there super nice and went there every morning) So as you can see it had its “cons” but nothing horrible enough to keep me away.

Smell really bad , burnt bedding

This place was filthy and smelled!! The hallways smelled like pot half of the time!! My clothes even smelled when I left. There was supposed to be breakfast ( muffins) until 10:00 a.m. Three days in a row I went down around 9:30 and nothing. The only good thing was the front desk clerks were pleasant. I would never had paid $140 a night!! It was even worth $50.

There was a butter knife holding up our shower rod, there was no console or dresser, just a wide open space. It was odd.

Very outdated and not functional. More extended stay not built for function. Full kitchen but no dresser. Bathrooms need updated and repainted.

We were in Joliet for 3 nights at the Old Canal Days in Lockport as an Art Vendor. This place had excellent guest reception, great breakfast, a pool and allowed my pet for a minimum fee of 10$. Wow it was a great stay! I woul give it 5 stars, but only one fork in the room and no wash cloths. Otherwise, I will still try to make my long trip stays a Main Stay!

Front desk employees are rude. On my previous stay months ago I was told by management if I arrive (flight) lands past midnight I do not have to get the room for the night before if I am checking in, in the middle of the night and will get a refund so I took that advice for my next stay. When I arrived at 2:30 am this past memorial weekend my flight landed at 1am a front staff was being rude and stating that is not their policy that I would have to come back at 8am to get a room (not sure the difference since it was just a few hours later). I arrived at 8am and the manager and the employee were there and the manager started acting rude and arrogant since he already knew what had happened by the time I got there. He was not being understanding as I was expressing my concerns and explaining what a previous manager told me. He said I can go stay somewhere else and he would cancel my reservation for having an “attitude” which it was not the case since they had the attitude when I approached the desk. I had to apologize to him and tell him I don’t want my reservation to cancel as I had slept in the car while I waited for 8am which he did not care. After I apologized he gave me my room keys and they gave me a dirty room that the shower head was broken and was throwing water all over the bathroom. I will never go back as I travel to Joliet often.

Most the outlets in the walls and lamps did not work. So it was hard to plug in devices. One outlet was missing a cover, dangerous. Water was dripping on floor in bathroom from heat lamp fixture on ceiling. Curtains were stained, brown unknown substance. No usb outlets, out of date. No hangers in closet. No iron or ironing board. Tried to use the phone in the room to call the front desk. Phone did not work, phone jack was ripped out of the wall. Pool and pool water seemed dirty, does not seem to get proper cleaning. Room keys initially did not work, had to go to front desk to be fixed. Elevator had rough movements and made lots of noise, seemed like it was ready to break. Breakfast was only cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels, pancakes, sausage and eggs, not much of a varity. My stomach was upset after eating the breakfast. Room size was large. Nice microwave, dishwasher, stove top and fridge. Small TV and Tv position was hard to see fron couch.

Love this place

My first assigned room smelled like they took a large amount of bleach to attempt a cover up of pet urine smell. It also had a room across the hall with a squawking bird inside, so I requested a different room. Second room had uneven flooring, dirt and debris such as old socks, toiletries and dog food pellets on the bathroom floor under the sink, peeling paint in multiple places on the ceiling. I guess when you look for a budget-friendly room you get what you pay for.

Whole hotel was very clean and good vibe

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is, for under $100/night. Staffwas super friendly at check-in. Rooms were clean, had a nice size tv, pillows, sheets, & beds were all comfortable. Pool & hot tub temps were perfect. We will definitely be staying here again.

Boiler went out, no warning provided and no offer to re-locate guests. Curtains fell, stains all over the floor, lights flickering. Is there maintenance staff here?

The bedding looked like it had not been washed. Dirt and HAIR on the fitted sheets. And on the comforter. The smoke detector needed a battery. They took care of the smoke detector. We had to replace the sheets. Did not feel comfortable in the bed.

Pool was supposed to be heated and wasn’t. That’s the only reason I booked this hotel. When I got in it was freezing.

Great property. Good breakfast, limited choices but still ok. Awesome manager. Housekeeping needs a lot of improvement. Our room was not thoroughly cleaned and had some dirty spots.

The woman at the front desk could not find our reservation at first and was rude to my husband. Also our room keys stopped working 2 times and we had to go to the desk and get new ones. One time they said it was because they had us in for only one night instead of 5 and the other time they didn’t tell us why it stopped working. Very annoying when you are trying to carry a baby to bed at midnight and can’t get into the room. They treat you like you live there which is fine but why not give us more towels every day and take the dirty ones and give us extra garbage bags, ice bucket bags, etc. the room was nice and I appreciate what they did have available to us such as dishes and silverware, large fridge.
