The carpets in the halls were very stained. Our first room smelled (closed up and old), the curtain wouldn’t open and had stains on them, the sink wouldn’t drain. The last issue got me to ask for a new room after being told maintenance would come and didn’t appear they had. Our second room was better however you could see the walls were painted with 2 different colored paints.

The location was good, and the hotel was clean. There were plenty of gas stations and places to eat and shop, so that wasn't an issue. It was a great place! The bed was on the hard side, with a dip, so I had to sleep in the middle. Also, other guests were letting their doors slam shut and kept waking me up in the middle of the night.

Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Walking distance to a restaurant which was good.

The pool was under repair, which was unfortunate, but the staff was nice, room was clean and it located next restaurants and short walk/drive to grocery store.

Hotel is very old and has a weird smell. There was no water in the pool. The were several hairs in the bathroom, and breakfast was lacking anything nutritious and tasty. It’s just ok… will not stay here again when in Knoxville.

I’ve found the Wyndham hotel chain has poor upkeep. I’ve given up staying here in many locations. Due to last minute reservation I had to stay here and it proved to be as expected, a poor choice!! Beds made up wrinkled, peeling ceiling paint chips, Shower water coming thru faucet and shower head at same time therefore poor shower head stream. Very poor visual appeal. Old furniture., unkempt tv remote, no bathroom pictures or “spruce”. Exposed overloaded electrical cords and etc. Hall carpets spotty and stained!!! Unbelievable upkeep at its worst.!

The front desk staff was very helpful. I had a virtual appointment that ended at 11:00 and when asked if I could have a later checkout (15 to 30 minutes), without hesitation I was told no problem. The two front desk staff that I spoke with were very polite and professional.

Walked in in the bathroom, smelled like pee, shower curtain had pee stains on it and the floor looked dirty so I went in and asked the person at the desk if I could have some cleaning stuff and a rag and a new shower curtain she was very nice. Gave me the rag gave me the cleaning thing and a new shower curtain. I was thinking maybe she might come in and clean it but I had to clean it. I took it back to her and she was appalled at how dirty it was. She was gonna turn in the maid who was supposed to clean that room and let her know what happened.

The breakfast was great, clean area the front desk staff was courteous.. But.. Elaine in the Breakfast area was the best. Friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for her to assist you. God bless all of you, your friend from New Jersey.

The room is BIG which is really nice and the bathroom is so spacious and clean! And the showers are nice!

The room was nice but the layout of the bathroom was strange. Breakfast was decent and the staff was great.

Breakfast buffet was OK. Good selection. The front desk made this stay. Blaise went out of his way to help us with the reservation: he turned 2 separate one night reservations with diffferent rooms (all that was available) into a contiguous stay in one room. And he was professional and courteous each time we saw him over the weekend.

I will not book again. The housekeeper didn’t knock or announce himself, he started opening the door but the latch was on. I opened the door as he walked off and asked was he not going to knock; he didn’t answer and went in another room. One of the trash cans was not emptied. The tub was unclean. The carpet is old with stains. There was dust on the furniture, around baseboards, on the wires and wall sockets, there was pieces of paper on the floor near the head of bed. It’s an old building but they could clean more. But it was quiet. Some people allowed their doors to slam early in the morning. I can deal with that but dirty and the housekeeper entering without knocking, no. It was a quick business trip for one day.

Room was clean and comfortable as far as air conditioning, but severely outdated and needed a facelift, really the whole place aside from the lobby area does. Tub was cracked, sink was cracked, armchair in the room was worn. Shower barely had enough water pressure to make it out of the showerhead. Bathtub fixtures looked like they hadn't been changed out since the 90s. TV Remote had the batteries taped in and had to be slapped to work. Linens were clean and fresh, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. Breakfast options were decent. Refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Our room was clean and comfortable, but the bedside lamps and desk lamp has several visible rust spots on top, stem, and base. The chair and ottoman had grease like stains on them The bath rub inside the non slip grip that yoy stand on. Was grayish almost dirty looking is very worn and no longer white. My biggest complaint is the front desk staff lack of customer service and snack prices. The heavy set young lady in particular is very unfriendly or welcoming, no smile, didn't tell us anything about when breakfast is upon checking..she was overall misreable. The young man she was training was very nice, welcoming, great demeanor and seemed to want to be there and ready to help. Lastly, I bought a can of soda and a snack size doritos...the size that you can buy on the grocery store to put in your kids lunch box. Or better yet buy 2 for a dollar at a corner store or Dollar General. Both came to $8!!!!!! The can of soda being $2 you do the math? $6 for a baby bag of doritos? Is someone skimming off these purchases? We paid $150 plus $20 incidental hold fee and still have not received our $20 back yet. We will not being staying here again.

Part of bathroom has carpet and I’m sure over the years of ppl stepping on carpet all wet, there’s some mold or mildew. There’s tile by the shower but carpet by the sink. If they would replace that, I bet the smell would improve.

The guy at the front desk was very nice. The parking was easy. That concludes the good. The bathroom was a hygiene catastrophe. The smell (like dried urine) was so bad I just don’t know how a cleaner could walk out and feel ok about someone using it. To top it off there was no shower curtain. I had to walk down to the front desk to ask for one like it was some kind of luxury upgrade. They handed it over to have me install myself. Please charge a few more dollars and pay your staff. Have some pride in what you do over there.

I selected this property bc they indicated pets were welcome. I needed two rooms. One for my small dog and I and one for my daughter's family. I didn't have issue with the additional pet fee as I have traveled and paid in the past at other hotels. What was disturbing was the furniture in the pet room. It belonged in the dumpster it was so old and worn I was speechless. And I can assure you this was not pet damage, this was old worn out pealing leather down to the fabric. Insulated to think that just bc you have a pet they would put you in a sub standard room. Oh, my daughter's room was beautiful...

We stayed there 4 nights and our room was not cleaned the whole time we were there. We were gone the whole day coming back at night and no one cleaned our room once. We were placed next to the laundry room and it was very noisy. Other than that it was fine.

Terrible !!!!….no customer service at all ! Email and messaged area manager Bobby Howard three time no response or follow up and as well as the CEO …. Stay with them due to them being award winner and counter was full of glass awards …. The elevator was dirty. The floors in corners in hall and room were not vacuumed. The photos that are used in their ads are not current furniture was worn in lobby and in our room to where it should’ve been replaced, we chose to stay with them because of the breakfast, which was to start at seven, we woke up to the room dark at that time and no one there no explanation I asked for a follow up numerous times and heard nothing that is why I escalated it.

The staff was friendly and helpful, parking was convenient, and the room was clean overall. That said, a few basics were missing. I would have expected a water kettle and bottled water in the room instead of having to go to the front desk repeatedly. The room had a microwave and fridge and mini coffee maker. Additionally, the body wash was empty and needed refilling, which required a morning trip to the front desk. Overall, it was a good stay, but a bit more attention to in-room essentials would make the experience better.

The room was in poor condition. The chair was very old in the leather was all scuffed off. The TV stand where the dresser is was fall apart. And the TV was plugged into the microwave so if you use the microwave, the TV would shut off. Also, the cleanliness of the room I had to wipe down the sink area as there was old toothpaste on it. And underneath the bed was full of dust and past peoples stuff example bars, toys.

We have been coming to this hotel for several years. It has been 2 years since we were there. This visit, we noticed that the rooms and lobby are in need of an upgrade. The carpet in the hallway appeared worn and dirty. The flooring in the lobby appeared worn. Also, the room doors slam closed automatically. This makes it hard to sleep when other guests are coming and going. Over all we had a good stay. Again, the staff was great. Thank You

I like the Baymont and I have stayed here many times. The staff is wonderful. I was disappointed that the hallway smelled of marijuana. How dare guests think that they can permeate the hallways with their disguising smell! Marijuana should be banned from hotels. Let the trash sleep in their cars if getting high is so important so that hotel’s guests can enjoy their stay.

This Baymont property is conveniently located, parking area well lit, with multiple restaurants close by. The staff was welcoming, the internet fine, & our room clean. The breakfast area is small, the hall carpets badly stained, & our bathroom door didn’t latch closed.

Once the front desk staff finally made there way back from where ever. He was extremely apologetic and accommodating. Also, I was embarrassed when I invited a guest to meet me in my room. Because the hallway carpets was extremely filty.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The part that meant the most to me though was the staff. Before and during check-in I had the opportunity to speak with a couple people from the front desk. Both young ladies were very friendly and helpful. It makes your experience so pleasant when greeted with a smile and a warm welcome.

It was ok, though after driving for 12 hours and pre-registering informing what time I'll arrive, there was a no one at the front desk just a sign, sorry and thank you for your patience. After finally calling the front desk, someone came out of their office to check my service dog and I in. They also charged me for my service dog which I informed them in my registration, and is technically illegal. Overall, the place is dated but clean, safe and ok for one night of stay.

We booked 3 rooms, one of them room 247 had bed begs. We sent video over to the front desk.

Hotel is older but it was nice and clean. You can tell they are trying to upgrade/modernize. Check-in staff was friendly and helpful. We were only staying one night after a concert, so we only spent a few hours there to sleep, we didn't' want anything too expensive. We did not eat the breakfast. Would stay again.

The room was very clean except the floor and it had dog hair on it that your socks would pick up when you walked across it. And the tv remote was weak. Maybe a weak battery.

The breakfast was very minimal in choice. The coffee also didn’t taste very good. My bathroom in my room smelled disgusting (like old pee). The carpets in the rooms and hallways need a serious cleaning. I was also charged a fee for “incidentals” when I had already pre-paid on Expedia; that was totally unexpected and unfair. Yes, it was returned in the next few business days, but I feel this is not proper business practice when Expedia stated that all fees were covered in the price I pre-paid.

Staff is friendly! First room had dogfood on the floor. After we let the receptionist know, she insisted to change a room for us. The second room had strong bleach smell, we opened the window and ran water in the bath tub. The carpet in the room and stairs are quite wear out!

The room had a terrible smell of like the room had mildew. The tub was cracked and dirty looking there where tape holding the soap dispenser in the shower, I requested a lower level room close the the front due to my husband was in heart failure has a hard time waking any distance, they put us on 2nd floor with a very long walk from the elevators, when I call down to the front desk blame it on hotels.com, i explained I had received a email from Wyndham themselves, then oh I see it it was a oversight. Gave us a room that was smelly and the bathroom was terrible. This is my second stay, I don’t think I will stay there again. Let’s not forget the pubic hair that was in the shower.

Everyone we encountered was cheerful and greeted us with a smile and was so incredibly helpful! Location was perfect great restaurants within walking distance! The parking lot was well lit for Safety coming and going late! Wasn't right downtown but close enough to get to everything quick!!! 10 out of would recommend & will stay there again!!!

Staff was very friendly. Traveled with my fiance. Stayed one night, just passing through to sleep during our 19 hour drive back home. Our carpet was wet, possibly from cleaning and there were bad smelling air fresheners on the vents. We had to open the window to be able to breathe. The bed was incredibly firm. We woke up sore the next morning. If you like firm beds, this is your hotel! Close to the university. Didn't try the breakfast. Room was clean. Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash provided in the shower. Stay wasnt terrible

Had to switch rooms upon arrival due to first room being way too with AC on 67°. Second room was cooler but AC was loud and kept me up most the night. Hotel was pretty clean, just needs some updating. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good and server was friendly. Overall, not a bad stay for a quick night in and out.

Our room unfortunately had a wet dog smell.They offered to give us another room but I was too tired to deal with that.Otherwise, it was a great place to stay

Bed is comfortable but bathroom floor was sticky and moist.

The facility is worn down and in need of an upgrade. The carpets were worn down and dirty. The staff was friendly. The area was fine.

There was still hair in the shower/tub from the previous guest - which didn't excite me. Otherwise, very good for what it offers at its price-point, especially when I'm using for a head-on-a-pillow stay.

There are multiple eating establishments nearby and the hotel is clean but the furnishings are very outdated.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Stayed there twice in one week. Will stay there again when traveling in that part of the country.

The room was exactly as advertised, small but functional. It must’ve been newly renovated or something because everything looked great, especially the bathroom. Great water pressure too. The room odor was a little musty when we entered but once we turned on the A/C it went away. Super comfy bed and pillows, no bad things to say. Breakfast was a tad underwhelming but for the price, I didn’t even expect the option at all! Staff were incredibly kind as well.

Bed was too soft for my taste. Elevators weren’t clean. No one at desk at checkout. Had to wait.

Perfect for a night out. Was quiet, no issues with the room, and easy check in/out. I slept almost until 1100 (checkout) so I cannot comment on the breakfast. But the area looks clean when I check in and check out. Will stay again.

The women who checked us in were so friendly, funny and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are great with the comfiest beds. The parking spaces are extra wide! And there is a amazing Italian restaurant just next door called Carraba's Grill. We are on a cross country road trip and this is the best place we've stayed so far.

Had problems getting in my room an had a loud beeping noise coming from roo. Door told night help Friday lady working at the desk said she was the manager would not help me room wasn't clean up with new towels lady work at the desk that said she was a manager was no help another employee listen a took care of everything after she told me that she was my slave

The room was comfortable. The price was right and the breakfast was decent.

We stayed just one night passing through Knoxville. Its a no frills hotel, but was clean and the staff was kind and helpful, so it was a pleasant, but short, stay.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I would like to see the laundry room updated (more than just one washer and dryer, credit card rather than coin operated [change is available at front desk] and a place to sit while waiting for machine to finish). A couple of stacked laundry centers would do this.

Very clean and great service at the desk and breakfast station. Standard food options as most free breakfast stays. Internet connection normal. Would stay there again.

I was only there for 4 hours, but my room was extremely clean, and cool when I walked in, which was great since the temps outside are scorching! The bed was comfy, with lots of pillows, and everything was very clean. Fridge and hairdryer worked great (the only amenities I used), too! Breakfast was somewhat limited, but served my needs, and the employee serving it was exceptionally pleasant and engaging for someone who gets up at 4am everyday (she shared that). 😁 Checkout text makes the process very easy and eliminates having to stop at the front desk. Overall a great, short stay, and I would absolutely stay here again!

I liked where the hotel was and that it was very quiet outside. However inside our room was old looking. The lampshade had a big tear in it, the air conditioning was so noisy it sounded like torrential rain all night hitting the window. The bathroom floor was not swept there were long dark hairs on it. And the breakfast was managed by someone each morning who was only there to get tips. Why we couldn’t serve ourselves I will never know. Is this a new policy because I have stayed at several hotels and this has never happened before. We almost felt like we shouldn’t ask for the food it was only eggs and biscuits for goodness sake!!!!

And my reservation wasn’t For the night we came In…. It was the next day. But your front desk manager was so helpful and she fixed it all For us and found us a room. She was wonderful!

Nice hotel, could use some updating. Breakfast was ok. Convenient for our needs. Only issue was while using the shower, the fixture blew off and shot hot water everywhere and flooded our bathroom. Felt bad for guy at reception and maintenance guy because they had issues getting the water shut off

Good price, convenient location, friendly staff

2nd time we’ve stayed in few months. Customer service was not as excellent as we’ve previously experienced, but service still good. This room seemed to show its age in comparison to another room. Love the location and the value.

Great staff and facility. Overall very clean. I stayed in an “access” room and the walls were a little beat up and there was a funky air freshener hung in the AC unit but other than that the place was great! Good breakfast.

The property needs some updates. Staff was seemed frazzled and unfriendly. They just wanted to get us checked in and have us go. They told us nothing about the amenities in the hotel (pool, breakfast etc.) Needs new carpet. Pool was dirty. Kids couldn't swim. Rooms were nice. Perfect for a 1 night stay.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and my lifetime and this was the nastiest place I have ever been. It was so bad that I never unpacked my bag as soon as the door closed to my room I turned around and walked out. Holes in the wall, dust an inch thick big chunks taken out of the furniture, which looked like was from the 70s. The smell of mold was unbearable.

I arrived to check in around 1:30 a.m. The fellow at the desk was present as I approached the desk and handled my check-in quickly and in a friendly manner.

Very nice staff. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Easy on and off for interstate.

The manager was apologetic about the mistake. But this kind of situation could be awkward for others who are still sleeping in the bed.

Only thing I can say is I ain't never had motel eggs that was that Amazing! The sausage links was delicious too! But those Eggs the little lady that fixed them knows what she's doing!!!
