Great stay!!! My daughter was accepted yo UCSD and we went to check out the campus and stayed in family suite. It was amazing staff fantastic and we walked to UCSD campus. Great stay and would stay again and highly recommend it.

Found some candy wrappers and a coin under the sofa bed. Noticed extra charge fees of $84.00 from the bill no itemization.

My nineteen year old daughter and her friend had the best time!! The kitchen was such a bonus. They loved being able to prepare some of their meals in the room over nearly a weeklong stay. They also loved the pool!! Great stay. Thank you!!

I had a great stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott. The room was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the overall property was very nice. The staff and atmosphere made the stay enjoyable, and the breakfast buffet was excellent with a great selection. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Didn't stay. The place was beyond horrible And should be shutdown.

The setup of this property is troublesome for those with disabilities. My family of 7 required a family suite. The only family suites available are on the second floor, with no elevator access. Not a great fit when you have a child/children who have problems with stairs. It is also frustrating that the rooms specifically for larger parties, who will most likely have more luggage, are only available on the second floor.

It’s a nice place, not wonderful but not terrible. Good location and nice parking lot. It just looks a bit like it could use some upgrades and TLC. But for the price, it was fine.

The whole experience was wonderful! The place itself is clean and staff is very customer oriented. I just enjoyed my stay even though it was for one night. I will definitely come back!

Found a condom wrapper under the pull out bed. Hot tub out of service, hefty unexpected parking fees, inconvenient and expensive parking, towel rack hanging off the wall in bathroom. Upstairs toilet clogged and we had to ask 3 get pretty assertive for someone to finally come fix it. Staff was friendly but I definitely wouldn’t ever stay here again.

Parking is separate expense so be ready for it.

Staff is nice and helpful. Property is not walkable to beach if this is a must have, about 20,25 mins drive away. The property we stayed at is updated but bathroom is small and shower head old, water trickles.

It was the perfect room for my family! We were comfortable and it felt literally like a home.

The additional charges such a parking at $28.00/day should have been included. This resulted in more than 10% increase in the costs of the room. Adding such charges, after stating that all taxes and fees were included, is intentionally misleading.

Convenient location, walkable to retail, restaurants and UCSD (although along a busy road). The included daily breakfast was excellent with lots of variety- including rice and kimchi, eggs, potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, etc. The staff were so kind and helpful Dated rooms, first room was on main road and very noisy but they kindly moved us.

Convenient location Didn’t get any sleep. Guests upstairs with kids running around all we can hear loud foots steps sounded like the kids were up all night .

Room was big and comfortable, breakfast was pretty good. The room had coffee making condiments but no coffee maker. There is no bottled water in the room, you had to purchase it from the lobby. Lastly toilet paper was too thin, it felt similar to the one they use in portable restrooms.

The checking was perfect. But today we came back to the room at 4:30pm and there was NO room service. Even the garbage is still there.

Studio has everything that is needed to stay and lots of storage space It was a little far away from the beach not walking distance like it was posted

many things were broken, the window frame fell off in hand when tried to open it, the sink began holding water as soon as it was turned on and held water until the next day, beds and pillows uncomfortable

I had a scheduled medical procedure at UC San Diego Health, and the location of this Residence Inn was perfect - only about a 10-minute drive to my appointment. The location was very quiet and overall comfortable. My one complaint is for the sofa/sleeper in our unit. While we didn't use it to sleep on, it was extremely uncomfortable to sit on while watching TV.

Room was “generally” clean but as dated as this place is - should feel thoroughly cleaned. Old hair stuck on the walls. Time to clean the carpet. Need to wash down the walls. Definitely will NOT be returning. Not to mention we had issues with the TV… the maintenance guy said he probably just needed to replace it… he “fixed” it but by the time the problem returned, maintenance was gone for the day so that meant another night with a static TV. Two stars ONLY because the bed was extremely comfortable!

The staff is great and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and having a full kitchen was great. Some would say it might feel slightly outdated, but I like a retro style. Things changed since my last visiting San Diego (was there in 2009). It is not the hotel, it is the general experience as "money grab" somehow became a norm in California. 28 USD a night for parking of a rental car on the property, and it is not even a downtown of SD... Used to be free. But, again, it is the general impression from California, not the hotel itself. I would recommend the hotel.

I had a booking difficulty and tried to deal with the telephone staff. The first person I spoke to was abrupt, extremely rude and hung up on me. The second person had no authorities to solve my problem, but at least was polite. We have stayed at the residence Inn several times and have noticed that the breakfast offerings have gone downhill.

The property was old and run down there were people living there the room was dirty with stains on bed and furniture and a really bad smell of mold and urine and it was hard to breathe in the room it was so bad the neighbors said the property was full of criminals and people on drugs and you could see people hanging out. It felt very unsafe and I requested a refund because I could not stay there I was afraid and it was disgusting in the room the hotel gladly credited me the full amount for the two days BUT booking.com stole my money and even though the property fully credited me booking.com is refusing to refund me the full amount. I will be disputing it and filling any and all formal complaints to the BBB etc and will never use booking.com again. The whole property was disgusting

There are two things that I would like: a luggage rack and a grab bar in the shower to facilitate stepping over the edge of the bathtub especially when exiting.

Wife was getting surgery at Scripps nearby, this was our home base for 10 days. Warning ADA rooms have King bed, I ended up sleeping on the hide a bed in the couch ... worst bed ever. Other than that it was a good place for us to wait for her surgery and to stay a couple of days after the surgery. Super dog friendly.

This is our first time staying at this location. Near by the places we needed to go to. Close to dining options. The stay includes breakfast.

The room was clean, nice and spacious. There was plenty of parking at the facility, which made it easier although they do charge $28/day for parking. A lot of things close enough for a short drive or a medium walk.

Overall Great. The only issue was parking, we returned pretty late after the theme park and we had to park off property in the “over flow” parking by a business. We were given a refund for that night of parking. So all in all a great place to stay.

had a fantastic stay in La Jolla — the location was ideal, close to beaches, shops, and top restaurants. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of room to spread out. A free breakfast buffet was a thoughtful bonus that started each day on a bright note, and the quality exceeded expectations — not your typical continental fare

We had a wonderful stay and loved the loft room!! The heated pool was also very nice and they had plenty of towels for us. The service was good and the breakfast was good. I was surprised there were no muffins. Our room had a few tiny faults but nothing that made our stay any less fun! We will definitely visit again someday. Wonderful memories and was sad to leave. Thank you.

The breakfast was very nice and a great free perk. We stayed with little kids and there was a nail sticking out on the stairwell. The pool was also not very clean.

The pull out couches need replaced as they are worn and the springs are evident. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location to a grocery, shopping and freeways was exceptional!

We did love being so near the beach though and loved the breakfast except the last day when they got rid of the waffle station. Unlimited hot chocolate was a hit with my kids though! Parking really stinks that they charge an extra $35 per night, but I hear parking is just expensive in California. The reception was so kind to offer us a room near the street parking and we were able to get free parking most nights! Overall we really did love it here and would stay again!

Minor issue was hotels.com said they had a shuttle with a 5 mile range. No shuttle meant increased cost of Uber. Not hotels fault.

It was a great place to spend a few days. I’d would definitely stay longer if needed. In beautiful La Jolla and central to plenty of places to find food and any needed supplies especially having a full kitchen.

Staff was great, paying for parking and having to park far away at night was not.

Love the rooms; felt safe and the breakfast extension to 10am during the holidays was great. I appreciate the attentiveness of the staff and also the coffee/tea at all times.

This place is very family friendly and has all amenities we need with two small kids. It is very close to grocery stores and the La Jolla beach. 10-15 mins drive to major attractions which is still not too far but price is much more affordable.

My last morning, just after getting in the shower with a head full of soap, the water shuts off. It never comes back on!!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was great! I don’t understand the parking fee since the guests are already paying to stay in the hotel though.

They even emailed me earlier in the day to see if i was still going to check in. I responded that i was and received no response. When i got there they told me they had no rooms and sent me to a different hotel 20 min away and said i didnt have to pay. After a 20 min wait for the paper he was going to send me to the other hotel with, he came out with the letter which said that my reservation was being sent over to their hotel and that i was responsible for the charges. It was unfortunate because we liked this hotel. I understand this happens, but it was a very rough night.

Please was super friendly and staff was nice. Rooms were good. Breakfast was excellent. They had a full buffet of so many choices to eat and we ate there for free every morning. Only downside is that they said someone would come clean the room every day and they didn’t. They came once. But otherwise rooms were nice. I constantly came out of my room and saw trash bags, loose trash and towels left by housekeeping. The air conditioning went out the last two days we were there. Maintenance came and could not fix it. Offered to put us in another room our last night but it was too much of a hassle for one night. No apologies, no credit offered for the inconvenience, I felt brushed off. It was summer and it was HOT, so the AC going out was miserable. The pull out “sofa bed”… I didn’t expect much, but I didn’t expect to feel springs. The room was pricey, pictures online looked much better than what we got. Would not stay here again.

I was a late arrival and I was so tired, and I was greeted with kindness and was very welcoming. She checked me in quickly and I requested a first floor room near my car and she was able to accommodate me. The room was awesome and well equipped. I will definitely be returning!
