Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, many guests express dissatisfaction with the parking fees and the lack of a complimentary breakfast. Some guests also mention issues with the shower temperature and water pressure.

Breakfast included would have been nice. No bathroom ventilation kind of an issue but overall very clean.
- 4/5
Rooms were quiet, clean and the blackout curtains shut out all outside light, However, Hilton charged $10 for parking, $50 for pets, $2 for water and an unknown amount for breakfast- didn't eat there...
- 4/5
Property was fine, my only complaint relates to undisclosed charges such as a $10 fee for parking a car. Seriously??
- 5/5
the restaurant/bar and that you can purchase food and other items and charge to your room nothing !
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff

Make the breakfast better
- 4/5
It was an enjoyable stay. We’ll stay again.

Rude receptionist on nightshift.
- 5/5
We were doing work at the Portland Temple. Love that it is so close and we could walk there actually. Ate right across the street at both Chick-fil-A and the Oswego Grill and they were good. We requested a late check out and they were able to accommodate us and we checked out at two. We’re raving about the bed. We’d like to know what kind of mattress it was. We’re staying tonight at the Hilton Garden Inn in Corvallis. Thank you. L.

Very nice

We did not eat breakfast as I had an appointment at OHSU. The rooms were so clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish I could have eaten breakfast because of a dish of strawberries and i think yogurt. There was nothing that I did not like.
- 4/5
3 friends and I stayed in adjoining rooms for a weekend of Sole Sisters run in Wilsonville. The rooms were not quite ready when I called yet when we arrived they found different ones so we could check in early! The front desk staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean and the bar/restaurant were very good! The only thing I had an issue with was the hot tub was not very warm and had a lot of chlorine. I have now stayed there 2 years in a row for the same event, and I will stay there again next year!
- 5/5
Hotel was great staff was great. Other guests at the pool were rude but not the hotels fault
- 4/5
Overall experience was great. Three items that came to mind are that I found as issues. The fridge is in a cabinet and doesn’t have very good air flow around it which causes excess heat and the fridge to not work efficiently. The toilets are fitted with a water reducing fixture that makes them flush very loudly, especially in the late hours of the night. The televisions are not capable of streaming, so after a long day out, you only have television channels provided by DISH network and no on demand programming.

Clean room, nice staff, beautiful property

Only had restaurant for breakfast. This is an upscale hilton compared to other travel Hiltons. . I was disappointed to have to order and pay for breakfast. There was only coffee, bannanas and apples unless one paid for the breakfast.
- 5/5
Easy check in. Snacks in the room were a hit with my thirteen-year-olds. Quiet room on sixth floor.
- 3.5/5
Would prefer a complimentary breakfast
- 5/5
Great!

Overall, the hotel was a pleasant experience, both the food and staff were EXCELLENT! However, the room was stuffy, and the air conditioner was loud and rendered the room too cold too fast, having no ability to open a window for air, left me sleepless both nights.

- 5/5
Expedia needs to remove the “breakfast buffet” availability at this hotel because it actually no longer provides this. That’s the only thing we wished this hotel has.
- 5/5
Great location to restaurants and Lake Oswego. Pet Friendly was a great option.
- 4/5
Great place except that the shower in our bathroom was clogged and the drain plug didn’t work and there was no fan in the bathroom (and the windows don’t open so number twos were not fantastic in such a small room together lol)
- 5/5
Great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Portland/Lake Oswego. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with excellent service from the staff. The location was convenient, breakfast was very good, and everything felt well-maintained. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Not a coffee or tea drinker so that really doesn’t help me!
- 5/5
She went above and beyond, very grateful for Melissa!
- 3.5/5
Location. Comfortable room. The room service. I didn’t like that it was in togo containers and the soup I ordered for dinner was $15 and way too salty so I didn’t eat it.

It was like a mini-vacation for me since I am moving. I also had to work the few days I was there, and it worked out perfectly. I have stayed there before and I will definitely be staying there again when I have to be in Lake Oswego. Thank you to the GREAT STAFF

- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay.
- 5/5
Well maintained and clean.

Bar wasn’t open on Saturday or Sunday till 4:30 which was a bummer after driving all day but otherwise the property was good overall .

Everything was really clean and good.

Great
- 5/5
Courteous staff. Clean room and pool.
- 5/5
Room was clean! Pool was warm, hot tub was a little small & breakfast was ok.
- 4/5
Updated rooms and public space. Housekeeping is included, but they missed our room. They delivered fresh towels though. We didn't eat at the property, but they did have a reasonably priced happy hour.
- 4/5
Staff was couteous. I think there was some issue with the way the tap in the sink is designed. It is way too back from the edge and so was not convenient to use.
- 5/5
Only drawback was Expedia listed parking as free and they charged me $20 to park my car.
- 5/5
Great hotel ~ very clean and comfortable with nice staff! We have stayed here twice now and will be our hotel of choice in the Portland area going forward.
- 2/5
The room was clean, staff nice and easy check in. They woke me up maid at the door knocking at 8 am!! so remember to put your don’t disturb hanger on your door before you sleep. They also charged me $4 for water I didn’t drink but I don’t really care enough to call them about it, but still hate the nickel and dime mentality. I forgot to give my honors number at check in or they wouldn’t have charged for free honors water that I didn’t drink anyway… but that’s also annoying bc they should always ask at check in to remind me to give that. All in all it was ok. I stayed at the same hotel in Wilsonville the week prior and had a much better stay there. They are only a few miles apart but highly recommend the Wilsonville location over this one.
- 1/5
Hidden fees, especially with their breakfast. I paid $22. per day for breakfast and when I arrived, they showed me their menu and told me that my $22. only paid for the basic options, and didn’t cover their better breakfast items. Not enough room to list my complaints.
- 1/5
I have never experienced such poor customer service in my entire life. The staff had a power struggle with me, and though I was here to relax and rejuvenate from being ill, I have hardly been able to sleep, and definitely have been unable to relax since I first checked in Ion December 24
- 5/5
Very safe and quiet location.
- 4/5
yes
- 5/5
Monica was very happy with her stay.
- 5/5
The room was fine. We only had housekeeping once as they only come every other day. We were there for four days. Lack of housekeeping is my only disappointment.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast decent and easy parking.
- 1/5
We had to pay for a parking space to park in the hotel that we have reservations in and then we can't get into the room. Horrible, horrible horrible
- 3/5
Charged my card extra fees even though I did not use any incidentals
- 4/5
Convenient location, very comfortable bed and spacious guest rooms.
- 4/5
Shower water cold.
- 2/5
They nickel and dime you for everything, the water bottle in the room is charged to you, you have to pay to park in the parking lot, breakfast is charged to you. The fridge in my room didn’t work has well. I would Not stay at this hotel again, you get a better value for your dollar at a holiday inn.
- 5/5
Easy check in, room clean, staff friendly.
- 5/5
Nice property. Several dining options across the street. Safe area.
- 5/5
FYI.. There was a slightly musty odor in the bathroom that came & went. We love your hotel
- 5/5
Hotel immediately felt comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Room service delivery person was very sweet. The food was prompt, fresh and good! Room was clean and smelled clean. Not perfume covering up moldy or musty smells. Sheets and bedding were obviously clean!!! It was a bit odd to be able to hear the person next door raise and lower their blinds and it was so loud it almost sounded like it was in my room. Other than that, nothing abnormally loud or distracting. Wonderful experience
- 5/5
Room was nice. Staff were friendly.
- 3/5
Clean, nice room. Lots of noise outside, halls and rooms next door. VERY expensive for mostly a basic experience
- 3/5
The room was nice, but the Air Conditioner wasn’t working properly and the pet fee was $56 for 1 night which is very disappointing.
- 5/5
Clean spacious room. Staff very friendly. Quick and easy check in.
- 2/5
Standard hotel, overpriced for what you get. Gym STILL has a broken Peloton seat and I let the staff know over two months ago. Still not fixed. Rooms are old old old feeling looking. For the price there are so many other better options.
- 5/5
Great servicd
- 5/5
They took great care of me there. I especially loved the lobby restaurant.
- 4/5
This is a very clean and well maintained property. It smells pleasant and everything looks newish even if it isn’t. Bedding is comfortable. My only two small complaints is the walls seem a bit thin, we could hear the room next to us and above us at a low level even though I don’t think they were being loud. Hallway noise was minimal though. And the other is the WiFi is really terrible; we didn’t pay for the “premium” upgrade because the property advertises free high speed internet, at least on Expedia. We were trying to watch a livestream and it would buffer every ten seconds or so which was pretty annoying.
- 5/5
Fine
- 5/5
It was a great experience
- 4/5
It was decent. The entrance is pretty
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to freeway
- 3/5
Bathroom needs repair. Fan did not work and the toilet had the most explosive loud flush. Crazy that housekeeping never noticed.
- 5/5
It was the first time we stayed this hotel, and it exceeded our expectations! The check in was nice and quick, and they kindly accommodated our request. Nice staff, clean room and comfortable stay!
- 5/5
I had the most wonderful experience at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lake Oswego. From the moment I arrived, everything was absolutely phenomenal. The hotel is outstandingly clean, and it was so reassuring to feel that I was in a safe and secure area. The food was a definite highlight—every meal was great and exceeded my expectations. The ambiance of the entire place was fantastic, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The hotel's central location is also a huge plus, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. I would highly recommend this Hilton Garden Inn to anyone visiting the Lake Oswego area. I just loved my stay and can't wait to return!
- 2/5
This facility was clean and the staff efficient & friendly. The AC was very loud & disturbed our sleep. It was either freezing or stuffy. The bed was uncomfortsble. There was no fan in the bathroom and the towels were stained.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 2/5
The bad, they clean the room but did not refill toilet paper. Run out of in the middle of the night. Check out after breakfast, went up to get luggage and brush our teeth and the front desk call to kick us out because we already check in and room needed to be clean. This even before their actual check out time was. To me that is a bad business practice unless Im past the official check out time!
- 5/5
Very clean, quiet, and safe
- 4/5
Easy in and out. Lack of parking only down fall.
- 5/5
We used to stay across the street at Crown Plaza. Those days are gone.
- 5/5
Good value. Comfy bed and nice sheets. Mini fridge and microwave were useful. Great location close to I-5 and some restaurants. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again… even if it took 5 minutes of running the shower in the morning to get hot water.
- 5/5
Very easy access off I5 fwy…needs some updating but comfortable..staff very helpful..
- 3/5
When walking through the front door, the over powering smell of chlorine from the indoor pool is awful. The hotel is old and feels old. The staff was not friendly at all. We could hear the people next door through the vent in the bathroom. We were in town for a wedding and wanted something affordable - that’s what this hotel was but nothing more. It’s okay for a quick trip when you just need a safe place to sleep but that’s about it. The price was good so that was our priority for this choice.
- 2/5
The room was good and the area was great but they charge 10.00 a night for parking which wouldn’t be bad if you could park. It was very annoying to have to find a place to park away from the hotel and walk to the hotel. They didn’t charge us for parking since we couldn’t park. The front desk didn’t explain anything upon check in. We had breakfast with our stay but when we tried to eat they kept trying to send us away. I finally got through to someone that we had paid for breakfast as part of our package and they looked into it and realized we were right. Then they must have forgotten to put our food order in because we waited over an hour and were late to the show up time for our daughters game because of this. Front desk again second night was very unfriendly and unhelpful when we couldn’t find parking. No suggestions about where a good place to park might be. They pretty much didn’t care. The ladies in the breakfast area were kind even though our order the first day took over an hour. You could tell they felt bad. Front desk needs lessons on how to great guests instead of just I need your ID and card. That was it. No other info about anything. Just handed me the keys, said sign this for your dog, and that was it. Very unpleasant experience.
- 5/5
We had a fabulous date night. Thank you!
- 1/5
The system for checking in was down when we arrived. We were told there were twenty people waiting to be checked in. The woman at the desk was short and rude. She was obviously stressed but also unhelpful in anyway. She didn’t express any concern about the guests situation and wouldn’t even look you in the eye.
- 5/5
A very nice hotel—pretty and clean. No cleaning service, however, after our first day, so no fresh coffee cups or coffee kcups.
- 5/5
My flight into Portland was nearly five hours late, in the middle of the night. Check-in usually ends at midnight. I called the hotel from Reagan International Airport to let them know it could be 1:30 am before I arrive. No sweat. They checked me in over the phone and a desk staff was there to greet me and give me a room key. Next morning I had a tasty breakfast in their dining area. Great experience, I highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel, we will be back

We requested that our room be cleaned at 9am and again at 3:45pm, and when we returned to our room at 9pm, it has still never been cleaned.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great service
- 5/5
This room was exactly what I was looking for.
- 5/5
This hotel was great! Everything was very clean, and their restaurant has a great selection!
- 4/5
Food was not very good and room service delivered in boxes no plates! Alfredo in a box was less than good!
- 3/5
Pretty expensive for an old hotel
- 5/5
Excellent service. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Thank you and look forward to staying with yall on my next trip!
- 5/5
Room was clean Staff very friendly Close by U.S Bank And next door to a Chick-fil-A 🤗
- 5/5
Very clean, great easy food options. Love the coffee bar!
- 5/5
Thanks !
- 5/5
Will stay again. Loved this hotel. The cleanest pet friendly spot we have been to!
- 3/5
On- site staff was great, especially Andre. Call center and off site staff was horrendous.
- 4/5
Nice staff and clean place
- 4/5
We were here for a family reunion at a home on the other end of 217, so the location was very good. And we'd stayed here before and looked the hotel. One of the elevators got a little "sketchy" but they got a service guy on it right away.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed in pleasant environment. Bad chemical smell in the downstairs hall coming in from the parking garage. Tiny bathroom; so much so that the towels had to be in the shower. Expensive considering the size of the room.
- 5/5
Good value for the money!
- 3/5
When I checked in I was told I could park in the covered structure. When I did my key card would not open the door to hotel. I had to go back to front desk to get a new card. Our room was right next to the elevators, so until things settled down after 11 p.m. we could hear them running almost constantly. And then they started up again early the next morning. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, shower was good.
- 5/5
A great stay overall!
- 4/5
Only down side is....Paying $10 a day for parking.
- 5/5
The room and public spaces were very clean.
- 4/5
The hotel made a mistake about our room, breakfast was compensated. It was nice that there was a full restaurant menu I had a nice meal and beer brought up to my room.
- 3/5
Overall your hotel was great except that one elevator was out of service for the whole week that we were there and it took a long time to get to the lobby because it was crowded and we ended up taking the stairs several times
- 4/5
I thought the property was very nice, clean and friendly.
- 2/5
The staff at the front desk were horrible. One of the elevators was broke down, so took forever to get up and down from our room.
- 5/5
Great location. Extremely clean. Nicely decorated rooms. Super comfortable beds. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Quality overnight
- 5/5
Convenient location, brunch was great, good options. Staff friendly and professional. Bed comfortable and room clean.
- 5/5
ok
- 4/5
The beds were decent but the pillows were not so great, it’s a good thing I brought my own! I was disappointed that there was not free breakfast, I thought there was, I must have misread…
- 5/5
It was a very relaxing stay. I appreciated the clean pool and hot tub. The room was clean and spacious. Easy to get my things to and from the car. It was a nice area of Lake Oswego. I felt safe and there was lots of greenery around. I didn’t have a meal there but the drink and food menu looked great and they offer room service.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Was clean and updated. Reasonably quiet. Staff was helpful when needed.
- 4/5
The Hilton Garden Inn is aptly named. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly & helpful. The rooms are spacious & simply decorated but could benefit with more seating. The queen size beds are invitingly comfortable. Very pleasant stay despite being in a room by the ice maker & elevators that became quiet after guests settled in for the night. I will stay there again!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Nice hotel clean and close to everything
- 3/5
An excellent bedroom. Although we felt our breakfasts were overcooked, they did their job and were served with good coffee. Both waitresses at breakfast were congenial, helpful, efficient, and very nice. Our check-in person (Steve?) was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwilling to get any of the information about which we inquired. For example, he professed no knowledge when asked about local bike trails. He did not offer to find out anything about them. On our own, we discovered an excellent bike trail across the street from the front of the hotel! He did not program our room keys properly, so we were locked out. Each encounter with him was surly, unhelpful, and made us feel unwelcome. A very nice property, a nice room, and an unfriendly check-in.
- 5/5
6 stories. in a quiet part of time, close to i-5. pretty standard. the toilet flush is tremendous, so make sure you keep the lid closed when you flush!
- 5/5
This is our go-to hotel whenever we come to Portland. The location is perfect for our needs, and it's a nice, comfortable hotel. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean, everything is updated and tidy. They even have a nice pool. We love it!
- 3/5
The bathroom smelled like urine. I had a question and the waitress at the dining room kept us waiting. We couldn’t wait so we left.
- 5/5
Always a pleasure to stay at the Hilton in L.O.. Amazing location close to restaurants and Starbucks! Clean rooms and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. We were very happy with our choice.
- 4/5
The property had lost our reservation and only had one room available with two beds - not the king we had reserved months ago.
- 1/5
Will not be staying here again. Between the somewhat functioning noisy pressure toilets and the dumb luck of getting a room with a window adjacent to a downspout elbow. Rainy nights turn into a miserable noisy sleeping experience!!!
- 5/5
The staff was polite. Check-in was quick. Room was clean
- 5/5
Was perfect.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean but thin walls and could hear other tenants thru the walls
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
In town short visit
- 4/5
Friendly staff, nice clean room. Convenient for a local event at the Lake.
- 5/5
Great overnight stay. Convenient location to places we want to go.
- 4/5
Convenient to a restaurant and I-5. Clean room. Walls are thin and be prepared to pay for parking
- 5/5
This is our "go to" place whenever we are passing through Portland. It is clean, convenient, good restaurants within walking distance and the continental breakfast is great.
- 4/5
It suited our needs
- 4/5
Overall we had a great time. Was offended That they wanted $2.00 for the Bottles of water in the room that most people provide for Free!!!!!
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly, my room was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed it very much and will stay again.
- 5/5
Very nice service & motel.
- 5/5
Check in was quick and easy! Very friendly staff!

Resturant in hotel and plenty of great resturants within a block of hotel.
- 1/5
So awful - will not return.
- 4/5
Good food, rooms are clean and staff is friendly.
- 5/5
It was a nice quiet place. Clean!! Staff was good I would definitely stay again and rec to friends and family
- 4/5
Have a great day!
- 4/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the last decade or so and this was the first time I’ve had any problems. The staff was not as friendly as in the past. The worst part was a small stain on the comforter I discovered on Christmas Eve when there was no housekeeping available. Disgusting enough to make me consider never staying there again!
