Hotel was clean staff were friendly and overall a great hotel

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a need for some important documents to be sent and they assisted me with scanning and emailing. They were really helpful.

First room was leaking water from the ceiling onto the bed and floor staff was kind apologetic and quickly gave us a new room

I needed lodging quickly and near the airport. This met my needs. Staff was attentive. When the landline was not in service I was given another room. The place was quiet. There was a complimentary breakfast.

Great staff. The room smelled of fresh paint still and they happily changed my room right away. I wanted a soda and they had ran out, 30 minutes later the front desk staff brought it up to my room herself. So sweet!!

Loved our stay. The hotel was clean and orderly. There was fruit infused water and coffee available 24/7. Cookies at check in and if you were in a hurry in the morning. Fresh baked waffles at the desk for you to grab and go in the morning. The rooms were immaculate. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. A most enjoyable experience. We will 100% stay at this hotel next time we are in the area.

This property was somewhat recently updated, but the workmanship is mediocre at best ( poor caulking, cheap plumbing fixtures, etc). Couches and chairs are worn and dirty in a number of rooms I’ve stayed in, tubs and toilet fixtures generally dirty near the floor.

Why are they so close to the bathroom?!?!? Your water doesn’t even get as hot as I like it and it STILL was able to set off the fire alarm and the fire department showed up while I was STILL nak*d and doing my hair. Not the relaxing morning I was hoping for.

The breakfast was decent. The coffee was good. I loved a good swim in the morning, most of the employees were great. One did have a problem with my Mom because her bathroom was wet. See problem below. Both my mother and I stayed here. One room was supposed to have a roll-in-shower and accessible features, they gave her a tub. Then they moved hero to a room that was accommodating but then the curtains for the shower did not reach the floor so water was all over the floor. My mother walks with walker and is terrified she will fall because she has fallen in the past. So you can imagine how she felt with the wet bathroom floor. And there was construction going

We have tried several other hotels in the area nears to to the airport and this is the best one. Our 10 day vacation was made better by staying here. The room was just the right size, A/C worked perfectly, TV provided us all the channels we like, breakfast was always ready to help us start our day and the staff was attentive to our needs and very friendly. Our room was serviced every other day and always cleaned. They added a new feature to the laundry room by adding a simple payment device to use your credit card. NO MORE QUARTERS! Lastly the price per night was perfect for our budget.

The staff were very kind but the room was pretty dirty. I found lots of other people's hair around and some stains on the bedsheets. Close to the airport and good food. I would probably stay again, but they need to work on the housekeeping.

The hotel was dirty and under construction. Front desk staff were rude and I had to sleep in a room that must have been the last not being renovated, and smelled like primer paint. Workers were sanding drywall at night.

The booking for was a last minute trip. It was only for 1 niggt stay. The beds were comfortable, tge hotel is under renovations, but the area & room was maintained clean. The breakfast was included, & we enjoyed the buffet style breakfast. It was a nice experience overall.

Hampton Inn saved our weekend. We were staying at a different Inn. In the same area that really disappointed us. So much that we couldn’t bear to stay another night. So I went back to the website & found a room available with Hampton Inn, where; we originally wanted to stay. It was quite a pleasant & different environment & experience from the other place. Even with renovations going on, tge Hampton Inn, did NOT disappoint. Excellent service, staff was very professional, the whole place was clean & newly renovated room, with a buffet breakfast included. We will definitely stay here again or book with their franchise.

The rooms are very large, almost like a suite with a couch and a separate area for the fridge and a 2nd sink. The breakfast sausage isnt very flavorful and lacked spices. That is my only complaint

This hotel was in the midst of a renovation. Carpet in our room was brand new and everything was very clean. The breakfast area was tidy and welcoming. The timer in our bathroom was set too short, so we did have to shower in the dark.... Also a fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, which wasn't the best. The people were so nice. i would definitely stay there again.

Convince of location Room was not cleaned well at all. Hair, dirt, blood stains on couch. Bathroom counter had been wiped down and fresh towels and that’s about it. Shower was gross, looks like someone cut their hair or shaved and their hair was all over the handles on the drawers in the bathroom, dust dirt and hair in corners and along the walls. Sticky spills on the tv stand and stand that goes in front of couch. I could really relax or rest because I felt grungy. It was too late to leave and we were too exhausted to deal with it. We weren’t created when we walked in. We weren’t even told where to go or where the elevators were or anything we walked around with our luggage to find where we were going so we didn’t annoy the lady at the desk who seemed to be annoyed. Our room was supposed to have a microwave( I checked because we bought food to microwave) and there was none. Just one in the lobby that wasn’t clean. Thankful we could use it though or we would t have e had food. Unfortunately it was a bad stay and not a place I would recommend. It’s very expensive to stay in a hotel these days and you’d almost rather sleep in your car and save the money then feel super grossed out and not want to step on the floor or sit on the couch or shower in a space you just spent over $100 on. Honestly it’s not right. I can’t find a way to contact the property besides a chat that I sent a message to and received no reply back.

We really enjoyed our room and our stay overall, however our kids were excited about the pool and that was a total let down. Seems the heat was broken and it was blowing cold air into the room. The pool room was freezing and front desk staff was by herself, maintenance had left so there was no fixing it for our stay. So don't book in hopes of swimming, unless you verify it's been fixed. Otherwise, very happy with our stay!

Every staff member I ran into was so nice. The suite I rented was also really worth the slightly higher price, gorgeous, spaceous room and very comfortable bed.

We visit this hotel yearly around this time. By now its apparent that they turn off the hot water in the afternoon so if you arrive early lukewarm is the best you'll get. Forget the pool in the winter months they keep it too cold to swim, yesterday was 65°. Otherwise a clean hotel.

Room was good. Staff was fine. No coffee and tea in lobby when we arrived. The containers were there but cold and the hot water was empty. If it is not on offer it should not be on display. Breakfast was mediocre and the cold cereal choice lacked a Raisin Bran. The cereals were fruit loops, Golden Grahams and Cheerios. I guess it’s picky but…..

The parking lot was NOT plowed of snow. Entrance in front of front door NOT clear of snow. No way to go from parking lot to sidewalk without walking through snow. Room WAS clean. Toilet seat needed a cover over one screw. Shower was not hot.

Staff was good, however, they did not have a record of me showing up on the 26th even after I had added that day more than month before. I haven't seen the bill yet, but I hope that it didn't exceed what we agreed to.

Good place for a stay near the airport or off the highway.

One of the front desk employees I dealt with had a care less attitude - sassy and generally unhelpful. When I asked her anything, she responded as if I were a burden. I called down from my room and let the call ring and ring but never got an answer. When I mentioned it to her after I came down, she insisted that the phone never rang. A renter must only pick up the receiver and press the “front desk button to be connected. The free breakfast was almost unpalatable - underdone, unattractive, and tasteless. I will look for someplace else next time.

Checked in around 4pm on Saturday, the front desk guy had attitude and clearly not demonstrating acceptable customer service. Room and beds are clean, only complaint was bathroom sink drain very slow. Breakfast and coffee are okay.

We chose this hotel based on the availability of a shuttle to the airport. Upon checking out, we were informed the shuttle does not exist. Besides the inconvenience, we incurred additional cost to park at the airport. I will be requesting compensation.

When I arrived in my room the bathroom fan was running. I thought that was strange, but noticed a weird smile in the bathroom. I closed the slider door and did fine as long as the door was kept closed. I slept well, bed comfortable, breakfast descent since it was included in the price. Went to breakfast and returned to the room, the weird smell still in the bathroom. Not sure what it is. I showered and enjoyed the scent of the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Left quickly before the smell could get in my freshly washed hair. Other than the strange smell, everything was good. I would stay again, I would just ask to change rooms immediately even if I was incredibly tired.

Was told there was an airport shuttle and free parking. When we arrived neither were true. The man at the desk told me he knew who told me the wrong information. “She’s new”. I understand you can’t compensate the shuttle- we took an Uber but at least offer free parking

The breakfast was subpar. Oatmeal was not cooked properly (hardened). Limited food options compared to other breakfasts at similar locations. Food was not refreshed when ran out. Seating was limited.

We had a problem w/1 clothes dryer - ate up $2.75 worth of quarters & then dryer would not work! Also had a BIG problem w/room air conditioner/heating unit. Never was completely resolved by the end of our week’s stay. Heating unit would work& then unit would blow cold air! We ended up just turning the thermostat to OFF. A hotel mechanic was there 2 different days to try & resolve the issue but it was NOT resolved. Also bathroom sink did not drain very well! Very slowly!!

We stayed here one night in order to catch an early flight at Albany International. The room was clean, but the carpet had multiple large stains which was disconcerting. The bed was comfortable and there were black out curtains. Service was on the disappointing side and just ok. If you need a place to stay close to the airport, this could be a good choice as it is very convenient and has two gas stations and a few dining options nearby.

As a travel nurse I always choose Hamptons. I have been staying at this location since the start of my contract and each time it does not disappoint. Easy parking, close to a great food hall, starbucks and easy drive to the hospital. Front desk is always friendly, quick and efficient- especially Miracle - she always is so nice and happy to help. Breakfast nook is spacious and private. Great 24hr coffee and comfortable to walk down to get it in pjs. Gym is small but top notch equipment and spotless. Rooms are huge, always crisp white sheets. Occasionally you’ll get a room with a loose sink handle or something so minor but always clean and great water pressure. I recently stayed at the Hampton airport location due to price difference for a specific date and can say this Latham location is 1,000 better. A warmer crowd. Overall I can say this Hampton has made my stay in town feel like home.

Room and lobby were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, when I checked in, I was told that they had discontinued the shuttle service to the airport, which was still listed on their website when I booked. So, I had to make other arrangements to get to the airport early the next morning.

We checked in and went to the room but did not stay the night. As soon as we walked in the smell of mold overcame us. The room was right above the pool and definitely had something wrong. We immediately went to the front desk to ask for a new room but they were completely booked so we went somewhere else. Completely shocked that they would provide such a room.

The room was fine and what I paid for. The staff was friendly. In short, a basic Hampton Inn. Nothing remarkable. I received a very friendly greeting from the maid/housekeeper saying a warm: "Good Morning" with a nice smile. Breakfast was unremarkable. The scrambled eggs were not real eggs and the sausage was "turkey sausage." The whole inn seemed a bit "tired" and could use a good "refreshing." The local NBC channel 13 was not "NBC but something else" so I couldn't access "Saturday Night Live" and other NBC News programs. A/C was loud.

The property was generally in good condition, could use some updates in the rooms, bathrooms. The toilet did not flush well. another safety bar in the shower would be a good addition. The staff seemed pleasant.

When i arrived it was almost 9pm, i was greeted in a friendlynmanner and served quickly. I retrieved my things from my vehicle and proceeded to my room where when i entered it was already occupied. My hands were full and i had to navigate back to the desk. What a pain! Thankfully there was another room available. No apologies for the inconveniences, but the employee looked more distraught than i was. But it felt more like the reason was for inconviencing her.

The air conditioner in our room wouldn't turn off. We returned to our room after midnight and we knew, correctly, that there was no one in the hotel who could fix it. We were freezing. When we told the clerk in the a.m. she just said oh well sorry. I thought we should have been offered some sort sort of compensation

Front desk staff were very friendly and some amenities in surrounding area. However, although updates had been done they are poorly completed. Wallpaper peeling off, sheets don't fit, carpet coming up. As well, elevator was very noise, question it's safety. Food that was cooked did not smell good. And breakfast staff were not very friendly. Cleaning of room was also very poorly done.

Great breakfast options. Cozy bed stayed overrnight after dropping my kid at U Albany. I would definitely again.

Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Very competitive price. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included - standard fare: eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, and assorted pastries. Easy parking. Convenient location: close to the highways with an adequate number of restaurants in close proximity. All in all - a very positive experience. Highly recommended.

Breakfast has gone downhill over the past few years. Generic, tasteless cereal, same frozen/thawed baked goods, everything over-salty. I get that costs have risen and it's not the particular hotel's fault, it's a chain wide decision, and that it is a "free breakfast" but they have lowered the bar.

I would not stay here again. I am glad I was only staying one night.

Location was very convenient both to the airport and to the Northway. Something was leaking in the fourth floor hallway, and there was a bucket collecting the water for the duration of our stay. It appeared to be a pipe, not rainwater, and it was a little surprising that it was repaired more quickly.

Got this hotel on a Saratoga trip. Room was clean and large, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint would be the woman at the front desk was a bit off. Plenty of restaurants around to get a good meal.

Our visit was good. The hotel could use some updating but it wasn’t bad. They def need to add soap dishes. The bar of soap gets the counter all wet.

Easy to check in, room was spacious and we were able to check in early as needed. I’m so grateful for a safe, clean friendly place to lay my head down to rest. Thank you for being so accommodating and kind! The bed was heavenly to rest! Your employees do a wonderful job in making you feel comfortable, many successively to you all. Only regret is not exercising in the pool., maybe next time.

The front desk was not at all helpful, I called down to ask about our AC unit not working (on a very humid day) and her response was “I’m the only one at this hotel so I’m not sure what you want me to do about it”. I understand it’s not her fault if the hotel is understaffed but I just felt it could’ve been handled in a nicer matter. Our shower was not clean with lots of hairs and the towels were dirty. Everything else was fine and it was fine for a one night stay but I would find a different hotel next time.

Location was close to family. Breakfast choices were excellent. Cumberland across the street for gas in rental car and snacks. Housekeeping was accommodating during our 4 night stay. We’ve stayed here numerous times and will continue.

Had to cancel my reservation apon check in,due to not being able to have a 4 am shuttle.,front desk said they would take care of it when the night auditor came in after midnight and Email me.Never heard back

The staff was great! The room was good except for some snack not cleaned in the floor also stains on the carpet.

Breakfast was disappointing. Eggs were cold. Sausage needed to be reheated in microwave Bathroom floor was dirty on check in.

The worst part was during breakfast: while we were at the buffet with my kids, we saw a mouse running around in the dining area. That was completely unacceptable and very concerning, especially with children present. We immediately went back to our room, packed our bags, and checked out early. This was not a comfortable or hygienic experience, and I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families with children.

We stay here often and first bad experience. Got to our room and smelled like mold badly. Luckily able to move to another room. Sheets had black marks all over them, they seemed to be clean, looked like oil stains.

Clerk was unable to confirm reservation but finally found upon check-in. Bad ant problem in the room. Didn’t find until after in bed so didn’t move to another room but definately an issue.

The room was mostly clean except a portion of wall by the toilet that was stained with urine. The staff is not friendly or helpful. We felt like we were an inconvenience just checking in for our room. We won’t stay at this hotel again.

This was a great hotel - next to the airport - room was fantastic, and the staff very helpful. This hotel is MUCH nicer than an airport hotel. We will be back when we are in the area again - highly recommend!

Convenient location

Quick overnight trip, easy parking, fast check in.

We got the exact amenities we wanted (king-size bed, walk-in shower), front desk staff was super helpful and friendly, room is spacious, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, there’s a pool and a gym, and breakfast. Perfect!

food variety could have been better. coffee was very good, needed additional canisters, ran-out several times. the sleeping was very good, outlets were easy to utilize. More Lighting in certain areas of the room could be improved.

They do not clean the room everyday. Which I think is ridiculous for what you pay. Pillows are lousy. Only 3 towels for two people for two night stay

A very quick stay arrived after midnight because of late flight into Albany and left early morning. Our uber driver stood us up and the gentleman, Angel, at the front desk took care of it and helped with a refund from uber!

I've stayed at many Hilton properties nationwide and this one is a bare bones Hampton Inn. Hotel seriously needs a refresh. Rooms assigned to us by Hotels.com we're both handicapped rooms which we did not request and could not change due to the property being sold out. It was unattractive and held no furniture other than a rolling desk chair. Our friends and we needed to personally bring standard meeting room chairs upstairs so we had something else to sit on. Bed was pretty comfortable. A/C worked but was old and noisy. Hallway ceiling next door to us sprang a leak which could not be repaired until the next day and nearly filled a large garbage can overnight. Breakfast was adequate but nothing more. We would not stay there again.

Nice clean hotel and great staff. Minus one star for malfunctioning TV. Staff tried to fix it but were unable to.

Breakfast was poorly supplied both mornings. First morning, they had run out of napkins and proffered facial tissue boxes. Egg thingies were overcooked, dry and some burned. Second morning, ran out of eggs and yogurts with two hours to go. Fire the manager. Music was too loud, too. Room was comfortable but the A/C compressor is extremely loud when it goes on or off. The mini-fridge was a micro-fridge without a freezer and didn’t get cold. Disappointed.

This Hampton Inn was definitely a step above, from flavored waffle mix, to cookies, and snacks take take with you for the day in the lobby. They work hard to make it an extremely friendly hotel. Also, all of the employees we met were extra kind and friendly and chatty! We loved it!

Always consistent, staff always efficient and pleasant.

Nice stay

Let me start with the positive. The room itself was very nice. Comfortable, clean, and quiet. The poor is the service. The hotel's website states that the complimentary airport shuttle is available from 6 am-11 pm. To confirm, we made a 7 pm phone call to the hotel and were told the shuttle ran until 10:30 pm. When we arrived at the airport at 9:00 pm, the front desk person said they were the only one there and that we should take an Uber and would be reimbursed. We did that and emailed them the receipt it took 5 days before they responded. I was told they would credit my credit card that evening. Five days past and still no credit. I called at ~8 pm. I was put on told for over 20 minutes because the person who answered was the only one there (which presumably meant that the shuttle would be again unavailable). When they finally got back to my call they did send me a receipt that showed that my card had been credited that day or 5 days after promised. In short, if you want to be able to trust what is written and you are told, book a different hotel.

Great all around

Was here for a Dave Matthews concert with my wife. Would we stay here again? Yes, absolutely. Was it the best Hampton Inn we have ever visited? Not necessarily. The bottom line is the room was tolerable and clean, but it was a little sterile, especially the bathroom area. The best way I can describe it is that it felt more like a Fairfield Inn than a Hampton Inn, if that makes any sense.

The staff is very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The check in process is smooth and stress free. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of options. The location is easy to get to and close to

Loved our room and the ample space it provided. Only issue was the laundry facilities only took quarters and they didn’t have the cash to make change so we didn’t get to do laundry. It would be nice to be told at check-in that quarters would be needed for laundry.
