Great location. This well landscaped, off road hotel is three minutes from Albany airport. No noise from adjacent streets and very quiet rooms. Hotel needs some upgrades. Front desk was not welcoming on check in and showed little interest in answering some questions asked. One of the lights was out in our bathroom and not fixed while we were there with no apology.

The location and availability of a shuttle to the airport was the only positive worth noting. The staff at the front desk were not attentive and did not behave in a professional manner. The air conditioning was noisy but very inefficient making for an uncomfortable night before a long flight.

The hotel is pretty dated and run down, but the staff are really nice and helpful, and the airport shuttle is great!

The bed was comfortable Shower was OK There was no notification that maid service would not happen in our two nights stay. I consequently had to go down to the front desk to get another set of towels. We were unable to get a plunger around 10 o’clock at night to unclog the toilet. We had to go down to the public restrooms in the lobbyto go to the bathroom.We had to wait until morning and have someone from Maintenance come up and take care of it. The phone in our room did not work so every time we needed to contact the front desk we had to walk down to the front desk or call from an outside phone We didn’t feel it was worth almost $200 a night and it did not meet Hilton standards. We could’ve stayed at any discounted hotel/motel and had the same experience.

Overall a great stay. 24 hour shuttle was perfect. Clean rooms and great staff.

Let’s hope they come get us when we land!

There was no hot water. Fitness center had zero AC. Tried to talk to staff. Directed to manager who was unavailable. Called and staff didn’t know how to transfer call to email. Sent an email and got zero response. Sorely disappointed. It was pricey for what we got.

We stay at this hotel whenever we have an early flight. Usually its great. This past time there were 2 rooms across the hall from us that had groups of guys going in and out of the rooms slamming the doors most of the night. It was quite annoying. We will probably stay there again because the location is perfect for the airport.

The phone or the alarm clock didn't work and when I ask the staff about a wake up they said that it was being worked on and should use my phone. A little disappointed in this property.

I've read a number of critical reviews of this hotel. I had no trouble with hot water, clean towels or signs of bedbugs. This is a high occupancy, high turnover airport hotel. As a result it shows some signs of the volume of guests. I thought it was fine otherwise. AND I got to meet the famous Casey, customer service rep extraordinaire!

We arrived around 7pm driving from Altona NY for a medical appointment early the following day. After we checked in we went eat downstairs and the service and food was excellent. However, upon returning to our room we first noticed the toilet did not flush completely and the water kept rising. We also noticed the bathroom sink was draining very slowly and dark objects were floating. After a long drive we were exhausted and went to bed. The next morning when it got brighter in the room we got to see how dirty the room was. It was dusty and there was a plastic bottle near the bed. The bathtub had hairs on it and it was very gross. My wife went to use the blow dryer and it was so sticky and had hairs stuck to it like it had not been cleaned for a long time. Because we had such a short stay and had to leave very early we did not report this to the front desk but hopefully this problem can be fixed for the next guests. I have enclosed some photos. Keurig coffee pot was finicky. Couldn’t get it to work some days. The water reservoir did not look clean little rusted areas in there. The creamer was spoiled. I had some issues with water dripping from the bottom of the little refrigerator areas inside were wet and you could tell they have been damaged by water in the past. I did have some plumbing issues with my tub took a shower. The water was up to my ankles, and the bottom of the tub just was not secured to whatever is underneath there. However, I did express that concern and maintenance took care of it. Overall served the purpose. It was quiet. It was nice to have the restaurant and bar downstairs. I do feel like it needs some updating and could be cleaner the rugs look like they need to be shampooed. They don’t look like they even get vacuumed. I thought it was removed, it’s just is an older hotel. I’m assuming. yes but before the price I expected a little bit more.

The staff were great and I loved how easy it was to get a ride to the airport. We had some problems with the key not working at first but maintenance and security fixed that .

First room key didn’t work. Went back to the front desk to get another key. A couple minutes after getting into the room the neighboring guests came into their room and I could hear their entire conversation through the wall so I’m went back to the desk and they put me in another room.

The greatest part of our quick overnight stay to get a few hours of sleep before the flight was the employee that checked us it. Greater with bright blue eyes and a smile was so pleasant and helpful! Would go back just for the service alone!!

Clean and conveniently located near the airport. The shuttle was on time and took just a few minutes. Staff were very friendly. The parking lot felt safe and well-lit. I left my car there for the duration of my trip instead of at the the airport for a reasonable fee.

All the staff were friendly, professional and helpful, however Casey provided especially attentive service, going above and beyond to make sure we were aware of all the services and amenities the hotel has to offer. We very much enjoyed our swim in the pool before dinner and the entire facility is one of the classiest I have ever stayed in. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay in Albany, NY.

Casey at the front desk was great. Shuttle van never came, waited 30 min outside in the cold with my 2 kids for a van that never came, called multiple times and no answer, had to pay $15 for taxi for less than 1 mile drive, chef called out sick but nice bar tender made us some dinner.

I'd give the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Airport 5 stars for communication and responsiveness to my emails and phone calls. I'd give the hotel 5 stars for location. I'd give the hotel 2+ stars for cleanliness. Although the bathroom and bed were clean, the carpet was unlike any I'd ever seen. Apparently the vacuum cleaners do not manage to clean the perimeter of the wall to wall carpet and there is a 2 inch stripe of very old dust along every wall. Also, we did arrive at midnight and the hallway carpet near the rooms was full of crumbs. Not in one area, the entire length of the hallway. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR US was the price...Less than $100. We only needed the room to quickly sleep before we drove home to Vermont from Albany. We landed at midnight and didn't want to take a chance and drive home so late after traveling on 3 planes and being awake for almost 24 hours.

The front desk person was very kind, however I was never informed of a $75 pet fee. When I called to see what the extra charge was for I was told I signed the pet form and there was no refund. Grrr. I clearly signed it without fully reading it but I feel it should have been disclosed verbally. The hotel does accept pets but beware it is in the fine print that there is a charge! No charge for service animals…but what if it’s a service animal and you charge us but it’s “Hilton policy to not refund”? Additionally, The hotel was in need of many aesthetic repairs to walls everywhere we went. Elevator walls and doors were filthy. The main sign’s lights were mostly burnt out. No streaming available on TV’s. Overall I could have stayed in a far less expensive hotel and had the same experience, hotels.com charge of $115.80 and then the $75 pet fee. I hate being nickel and dimed! Just be transparent with your fees people!!!

The hotel itself was fine. All the personnel were very friendly and useful accommodations were OK because the bedrooms and hallways had a slight odor. It appears updates could be done there.

While the staff was helpful and attentive, the place seems ragged and tired. Carpets worn and stained by many doors and even the elevator walls, looking like a car passed and splashed them with dirty water. Not a fresh feeling and no free breakfast to boot.

Wolf RD is nearby and has a ton of options for dining. I’ve stayed here many times and always have a good experience. Rooms are clean, probably could use an update, but I haven’t had any issues.

Elevator dirty and disgusting, carpets in hallway gross, shower drained too slow. Ankle deep in water, bathroom sink drained slow, room smelled, lock on door was corroded and hard to lock, no hair conditioner in the shower, and ac was loud and insufficient.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 10 years and this time the experience was sub par. The corridors and the elevaror were very dirty, The bathroom had issues - the sink drain was broken. Breakfast was also disappointing. The server was very attentive, however when she brought out the food it was cold and not tasty. The scrambled eggs did not taste good and the omelette was also not great. The sausage, bacon and potatoes were cold.

I had to be moved from one room to another due to a smell in my room. This place had been reviewed about odor and lack of cleanliness. All of that is true. Shame on Hilton. The staff however was extremely helpful and they seem to all be working very hard to provide a good experience even though the facility is not up to par.

Very convenient place to stay if flying out of Albany airport early in the morning. My only complaint would be the room we were in had a very musty smell.

I decided to go to a fast food late lunch… when I returned to the hotel the problem had not been resolved. I was told to gather my luggage and meet a member of the staff at my room… and they would let me in… without a key… I was unable to leave the room… About an hour after I entered my room… the receptionist was knocking at my door with the key and a voucher for a free breakfast… The restaurant served up very good omelette the next morning… I ate 2 other meals there and enjoyed them very much… The shuttle service to the airport is 24 hours… and came in handy at 3:30 AM… I had a memorable stay… and recommend this property!

They had a shuttle to and from the airport making my trip easy and stress free.

Food options very limited, hotel pantry options limited, staff was adequate but not friendly. Room carpet was filthy, tile and surfaces had dirty spots, almost like they missed cleaning. Bed was Ok, but pillows despite abundance were so soft they did not support.

Front desk staff need to be less engaged with their phones and more engaged with clients. Room on 2nd floor was very noisy.

Staff were incredibly supportive and helpful, always stay in the hotel when I travel to ny. My favorite place to stay in the area.

front desk seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. rooms were dirty. I could not beleive this was a Hilton hotel.

Goods and clean rooms. Some noise from room next door pass through the walls I can hear the other guests speaking and chatting very late night.

Hotel is a bit older but the staff was nice and it was in a good location.

I always stay here when I fly out of Albany because it’s clean, safe, and comfortable.

The property looked, run down, there wasn't even a sign visible from the street. The grass was overgrown-- it looked like it was about to close down. The elevator doors were dirty... It just was overall unknown kept. The room was okay. We asked for towels to be brought up one day and they never came. The next morning we asked for towels, and they didn't have anyone to bring them up so we had to go down and get them! When I think of hilton, this it's not a property that I i feel is of the quality of the hilton hotel regardless of which level of property.

Convenient location. Adequate accomdations for the price. My room:Carpeting was old soiled and had a sticky feeling under foot. The hot water in the shower had to run for a while, then went cold then hot again. The microwave turn table wasn't spinning. Lobby: coffee/hot water wasn't hot/fresh. The tea wasn't stocked (one bag left). Minor things.

We came here for a soccer tournament and it's very convenient to the turf location. They text us to make sure we were all set with everything and I asked for a pizza recommendation they told us Golden Grain and it was excellent.

I've been going to this hotel 2 to 3 times per year for at least 5 years. Each year it appears more degraded and less and less kept up. Also feels routinely understaffed. I'm not sure it is worthy of the venerated Hilton name anymore.

The property was great but the staff was the worst I've ever dealt with at any hotel , and ive stayed there before but this time the front desk personnel was very rude and disrespectful, i had to walk away and went back in the morning when there was someone else there that helped me.

Easy to fly out of Albany International and park car for the week. Shuttle was quick and hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. Front desk personnel are helpful and friendly.

I paid extra for the breakfast and it was pitiful. One day, it wasn’t even offered and I was not refunded for it.

I enjoyed being right by the airport and having the service of the airport shuttle to help with transportation to and from it. One less worry while on my trip

It was only for a night. Had a late check in. Was quick and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Thr room was clean, the bed comfortable. The problem is that the room is dark. There is not enough lighting.

Fast check in

The room showed its age. The sheer drapes offered no privacy and allowed the bright parking lot lights to shine right on the head of the bed. There is no restaurant and the morning I checked out, the continental breakfast was very sparse. The staff is great as is the proximity to the airport with a 24 hour shuttle is convenient.

It was clean and convenient.

Positively, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was very close to the airport. The downfalls were that room 201 was a super noisy room. While at the end of the hall, it was over the pool area and the room would literally vibrate for hours at a time, with 10 second brekas

It was good for late night landing and layover

Checked in at 12 and the guy was super nice. Had to turn around and head back to airport at 4am and he was still there and just as friendly.

This place is not only convenient next to the airport in Albany but they are very accommodating and if your driving here save your gas let the shuttle take you where you want to go just tip the driver

The check in process was fine. The room was spotless. A couple of small things: the refillable shampoo in the shower was very empty (which I didn’t discover until I was in the shower), and the only blinds that closed all the way were shear so that privacy was lacking. Also, the website is misleading. There is no restaurant or room service.

Thankful for the airport transportation at 3 am.

This use to be my go-to in Albany but it’s not any more. The hotel is looking very worn and isn’t up to its former clean standards. I had no hot water for my morning shower. Digital key check in didn’t work. Restaurant closed unexpectedly.

Just a quick visit

Waited for 45 minutes for the shuttle after dropping my car at the airport to stay at this Hilton Garden overnight for an early flight. Called again and was told, "sorry. He's sitting right here. I don't know why he didn't pick you up. I'll send him now." 15 minutes later the shuttle arrived. Fortunately for me the traffic folks at the airport graciously told me to wait inside and that they'd let me know when the shuttle arrived so I wasn't standing outside in single digit degrees. Upon checking in there was no one at the desk. I did see a person smoking outside within clear view of the front desk but assumed it was a guest. 5 minutes later she finished her smoke and reeking of smoke then told me in barely understandable english that she was sorry for the wait. Checked me in, booked me on the 4AM shuttle and up to my room I went. The hallway carpet should have been replaced years ago. There were cardboard boxes laying about in the hallway near the staff door. The room itself was clean, much to my relief. I'd specifically booked this hotel because it had a restaurant. When I went downstairs the barmaid told me that the restaurant was closed that night so I ordered from a greek delivery that was excellent and ate in my room. I could hear the guests in the room above stomping about and the staff talking loudly to one another in Vietnamese in the hallway through my door. Fortunately by 9 the sounds abated so I was able to get a few hours of shut eye before my 20 hour travel day

They do not clean in snow storm, staff always away from front desk. Not enough staff to handle the guest at hotel. Hotel hallway and elevator smelled like marijuana. Room itself needs upgrade and a really good cleaning. Overall rate is a 4

This property has no hot water no many how many times I asked for maintenance no one came I had to use a family member room to shower that was a mile away. I asked from the day of check In on Feb 27th about the water. It was not even warm water it was cold water. I never gotten a new wash cloth or towel. Never seen an house keeper. To top it all off there is 3 dogs that live on the property and they just run around. I don’t really mind the dogs however when I order a breakfast sandwich that cost $20 I Do not expect the dogs to be In the kitchen. And the owners kids just running around the hotel with these damn dogs. This was not my first time staying at this property but it was my last time staying

Convenience and the airport shuttle was always accommodating

My first experience was waiting twenty five minutes to check in. The clerk was very friendly but she was chatting at length with each member of a six-person party of airline pilots and attendants. She had a long line of people waiting and needed to move along. So I visited the restroom off of the lobby. It was filthy with unflushed toilets full of solid and liquid waste. We finally got to our room to find an unclean toilet with remnants of waste floating in it. We called the desk. The maid came a few minutes later and let herself in without even knocking. She did clean the toilet. After she left we noticed that the complimentary bottles of water were empty. The sound did not work for about half the channels on the tv. Worst Hilton experience ever. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Locked out of my room, needed crow bars to get into my room, my belongings left unsecured. Rude front desk staff. Very disappointing stay.

At 11pm check in, gave us a room that hadnt been cleaned yet.

No drink cups were in the room. Refrigerator had garbage and trash left over from previous guests. Temperature in room hard to maintain.

Good price and good services for overnight for airport pickup

The restaurant was closed the evening we arrived. Had to report a noise problem to front desk, that lasted for about 2 hours.

The place is clean and quiet and convenient to the airport. The staff are nice and helpful for the most part. The dining option isnt the best. The continental breakfast is just ok but costs $10, many hotels offer a better continental breakfast for free. The dinner options are also just "ok".

Facility and location were fine. Very finiky TV system. Could not watch local news or weather. Housekeeping left only a half roll of TP, and shampoo dispenser was empty.

Driver and front desk people were friendly, curious, and helpful although we had an issue with a room key. That issue was sorted out quickly. Also prompt shuttle back to the airport the next morning to pick up a rental. Different driver but also courteous and professional. Hotel is showing its age a bit but was, for the most part, well maintained. While the room was clean, I did note one small piece of trash tucked into a corner, left by a previous occupant, that was missed during cleaning.

Close to airport

We stayed for the convenience to the airport. At 230am I heard the police trying to enter one of the rooms just down from ours. It was very loud for quite sometime. Not sure what happened but needless to say it was very loud from that point. We left at 330am.

Shower head needs replacement and tub needs to be snaked as it filled up while taking a shower.

It’s very close to the airport. The room was very nice and comfortable.

Staff was so helpful. My son lost some toys and the maintenance went to a lot of trouble getting them out of the back of the nightstand. We always stay in one of the rooms to celebrate Christmas because the accomodations make it very easy to do so. The rooms are big and decorated nicely. Everything is always clean and stocked so I never end up asking for anything at the desk. Guests did keep luggage carts when I was checking out but the young lady at the desk alerted me when one was available. Everyone gave their best effort on an eventful checkout and I'm grateful. 👍

Clean, desk staff pleasant enough, if not a little distracted. But it was 2 am, so not surprising. Room-emaculate. And the icing on the cake was a keurig with 4 regular k cups. And real half/half. Convenient to the airport. Only concern was that the parking lot was very icy. It snowed overnight, but it was hard not to fall. But overall positive experience.

This place is way overdue for a makeover.
