Pool was outstanding everything was close enough to walk so no paying for parking

Just a little disappointed because when we checked in we were automatically assigned to a more expensive room even though there were basic rooms available. The staff did rectify the situation and allowed us to move to a “basic” room which was relieving, but I feel it was a dishonest move.

Loved the breakfast buffet, super convenient not having to leave the hotel early with a toddler. The elevator was really dirty. Would love to see it wiped down at least once a day. Front desk staff wasn’t very friendly.

The room had a bad smell.The bathroom was dirty had urine around the bottom of the toilet. Staff wasn’t friendly on the phone when we made reservations the girl was very unpleasant and rude. When we checked in thee young man seemed put out we got there late no parking we had to park by broken appliances ready for the bump.We filled out a form to bring fresh towels but didn’t receive them the next day so we went to the lobby 8:30pm to get them.Breakfast lady was very nice food was good and hot. Needless to say we will not be using them again.

The room was clean, bed was good, but very dated and needs remodeled. Awkward setup in the room. Breakfast was very good and didn’t taste like cardboard. Staff was okay, not overly nice….seemed like they were just there because it was a job. Requested to be away from the elevator and in an end room because we have a young dog and she is learning to not bark at everyone or every noise. Put us in a room next to the mechanical room that controls the elevator and on the other side the housekeeping room with all the cleaning stuff. Opposite of what we wanted! Didn’t seem to care about our request! Not a lot of people staying there with a dog either. Walking distance to town. Will not stay at this hotel again.

This place is a great place to stay on a budget. It's walking distance to all of downtown, clean, and the staff are attentive. Breakfast is better than continental. It's not flashy or quiet. But they do have a noise policy for the human noise.

This was genuinely one of the best properties we've ever stayed at. The staff was amazing. They are all very helpful and very nice. Everything was super clean. They had every essential amenity you could want minus laundry service.

My room reservation was changed, blaming the fact that I booked room over 3rd party (Expedia). The heater went out after 2nd day, and there was no one in front office in the morning before 7 am, so I couldn't get any coffee until the conference room opened

I felt like the receptionists are not welcoming, flat affect while talking to you. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, grits, breads, muffins, waffles, 2 kinds of cereals that's it. No meats or other protein aside from the eggs. Parking was ok and clean bathroom. The only people I commend was the (woman) server during breakfast and the person cleaning the rooms, they are kind and pleasant to talk to unlike the receptionists.

Staff was amazing. Due to storms we had to some extra towels and other things. They supplied it so easily.

The room was great due to the space allowing us to park our mobility scooter in the room to charge. Very comfortable but a bit rundown. Could use a better counter in the bathroom as women have lots of products.

Stains on sheets, parking is a pain, room layout is setup weird which makes it difficult to watch tv or use mirror. NOISY you hear all the traffic going by. Wont stay here again with so many other options nearby.

Very conveniently located close to restaurant, shopping etc. but being on the road makes it noisy. Also they don't enter your room to clean or to replenish supplies like coffee, shampoo etc. during your stay and you are supposed to fill out a slip and take it to reception that I found inconvenient.

Breakfast came with the room and was a perfect way to start the day. We especially loved the idea of no services during our stay so we never had to worry about what time we needed to leave/return to the room (would love to see more hotels doing this).All in all, we would definitely return and recommend this hotel!spot

I was happy with the staff and property, comfortable beds, having a microwave and frig. Also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the clean refreshing pool. The hotel was in walking distance to Leavenworth shops and restaurants. I would stay there again and recommend it.

My daughter loved the diferente options for waffles and fruits. They're were also eggs and different bread. The only down side was there weren't a lot of healthy options or gluten free things like oatmeal or boiled eggs. The bed was comfortable and it was mostly quiet. The pool was nice too

The air conditioner kept turning off even after setting a timer.. and it would get SO stuffy. But the room was great and the staff was ok no other issues

We did not like the parking for 1. The door keys did not work well for 2. The wood work on the railing looks real waving.what is a decorative wood work below the windows is in need of replacement, and the windows needed Avery good cleaning and also upgrading.

It was on the main road, but quiet. It was a farther walk to town than I thought. I liked that there was free parking, breakfast and AC.

The motel could use some updating. The room colors are drab & dark. We didn't spend much time in our room and wouldn't want to stay longer than one night there.

Very nice accommodations. Our room was close to all of the offered amenities and all were clean and well kept. All requests were met and completed in a very short period and the staff was outstanding. Definitely recommend a stay here.

There were a couple of negatives that were minor. The first was the overwhelming smell of pine cleaner in the lobby. I stopped in for a couple of things over our stay, and it was a very intense smell that instantly gave me a headache. I'm sensitive to chemical cleaners, and it was a bit off-putting. We also paid $5 for a DVD rental and a bag of microwave popcorn. The DVD skipped for the majority of our movie. Other than that our stay was great and we would definitely come back for another stay.

It was our first time in Leavenworth. We enjoyed Howard Johnson. There beds are super comfortable. They have black out curtains and a large gas fireplace. The continental breakfast was wonderful. We will be back.

Was given key to a room that was still being cleaned, so had to haul luggage and everything back to reception. Receptionist also got my name wrong at check-in, and subsequently nearly charged me for a room that was prepaid! The usual hot breakfast is not being served; instead they give you a prepackaged miserable excuse for food. How stingy of them.

It is very old and you can see the mold coming through the fresh new paint. The staff were very nice and conveniently located.

I arrived before 3:00 pm and the front desk agent was very kind and permitted me to check in without any issue. She didn’t have to allow it, but she had a room available, so she did it. I am very thankful for this level of service. You don’t always find it in the world. I will stay here when I return to Leavenworth and I will tell my friends and family also to stay here.

Stayed here first time with my family. Spacious room. The only thing I would say is they should have more option in breakfast. Everything was great.

The room is delightful, with a cozy atmosphere. It provides ample space for a family of four. The inclusion of a washer and dryer in the unit is plus, lol! The location is ideal, within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

The only thing that was not pleasant was the rollout bed I asked. It was so uncomfortable that you can’t feel the spring mattress which made my back hurt after the stay.

Staff: the cleaners and maintenance guys were super nice and always greeted us. We didnt really interact with the front desk too much besides check in. But the did conversate a lil with us. Since there wasnt housekeeping we did have to go down often to get supplies for the room. Cons: The breakfast bag was less than desirable. It was pretty much stuff you could purchace from walmart. We had just come from another hotel and the breakfast was amazing!! So the bag breakfast was a bit of a let down especially for the price of the room. Luckly there was a Safeway close by and we were able to get fresh fruits and some other stuff for the room for breakfast. All and all it wasnt a bad hotel, Ive stayed at other Howard Johnson Hotels and they were a few notches above this one. I think next visit we will look into a VRBO. Happy travels!!!!

Great location. Room was clean. Hotel is a bit dated but met our needs. The thermostat in the room was ineffective. It was either too hot or too cold. The room could use a boot/shoe mat at the entrance to help with wet footwear (in winter). The bagged breakfast was convenient. Overall a good option considering the price

Short walk to the town. Staff was very friendly and let me borrow some scissors when I realized I had nothing to open my dogs food with! Oh yeah! They allow pets!! Our room was VERY clean for a pet room, really impressed us!

The continental breakfast is a vending machine breakfast that comes in a paper bag to go. There was hair stuck to the bathroom and shower wall along with a large red stain on the floor. Very overpriced and will not be staying here again.

The service was good but the room was on a middle floor and the people upstairs were running around until 11:00 pm. We could hear the tv in the next room all night. The heater was consistently turning on and off wich made it very hard to keep the room at a comfy temperature.

You are able to rent movies at the front desk for $5, which is good - because the TV only had 20 of the 100 listed channels working & intermittently at best. When I asked at the front desk I was asked if wanted a TV guide. I explained I just wanted to know which channels on the list worked. I was told “everything but the sports channels” when I advised that I get the sports channels but not the other channels I received a shrug. After rebooting the coax splitter behind the TV, I was able to get 46/100 channels. The HVAC was on its last legs. At startup it would make a loud constant tink tink tink sound of metal on metal - so we used the fireplace in the room and kept the window cracked. Having hot water was random - sometimes we had it other times none. The first morning we received a call from the front desk asking if we had checked in… The one morning when we were relaxing in the room there was a voltage drop occurring on the property, as all the lights where pulsing. The day we were leaving the door handle to the 3rd floor elevator area was almost falling off. This place gives a vibe of understaffed and/or underfunded maintenance. Breakfast was okay - you select a frozen breakfast sandwich or cereal, yogurt, granola bar, and small juice. If you are staying multiple days make sure to stop by the office to make your selections the night before. Downtown is a short 10 min walk - so that was handy.
