This was our second year to stay and we will happily return next year.

Breakfast options were great. First time at a hotel where the breakfast offered rice!!! We also bumped into friends from out of town as well and they said they frequently revisit this hotel due to the overall value you're getting. Great place to stay for large families or big groups!

It was one of the best free buffets I have ever had. The suite was spacious and clean. My husband loved the chaise part of the sofa. We would definitely stay there again.

Our room was spacious and clean, although some of the furniture was quite worn. Especially the couch in the main room was badly in need of being replaced. That said, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen area was a great plus, as we were working in the room. The 3rd shift front desk staff was VERY RUDE came to the front desk inform her the TV wasn't working and her response was and I quote" WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT ITS at 1:30 IN THE MORNING I ask could we be transferred to another room she shouted NO and walked back into the room that she had come out of and slammed the door we have stayed at this hotel on many occasions BUT NEVER AGAIN

It didn't have some modern updates such as USB outlet. The dishwasher was so loud you couldn't even hear each other much less the Television. Although we were told they were replacing them with new ones. Over all though it was very comfortable.

Coffee selection was great at breakfast. Breakfast area was kept neat, decent selection, and always replenished before it was all of the way empty. Beds were great, laundry machines filled quickly, took me two days to find an open one. I do wish there had been a way to wipe down the table in between uses.

Stayed 4 nights. Older property could use some refreshing. Elevator was out of service for 2 days. Glad I was on second floor and not third.

Pm front desk staff was acting in a very threatening manner when we requested towels and a blanket since there were nominal our room when we arrived. We also told her about the door handle on the outside of the unit was broken when we arrived and the telephone as well. Her threats then escalated and we called the police on he, etc. This is the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced.

The room was great. The beds were very soft so if you’re like my husband, they aren’t great. If you’re like me, they were awesome. The pool room is heated so if you aren’t swimming it’s a bit much. The breakfast was the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had! All in all I would stay here again.

The room was cozy, the beds were comfy and the pool was relaxing. The front desk young lady was extremely friendly and gave suggestions for what to do. I didn’t like the multitude of smells that permeated into the hallways.

Excellent hotel. Great room, bed, pool. Very quiet too. Everything was great except the breakfast, which was very very average. Please, no more paper plates and plastic knives and forks, it's impossible to enjoy eating anything from that except maybe a sandwich on a picnic. Totally environmentally bad too.

The gym is cramped and not well maintained—dirty mats, only two treadmills, and one was unplugged (though it worked once plugged in). We didn’t try the pool. Overall, the stay was fine until the end. During a storm, the Wi-Fi was too poor to book an Uber for over an hour and a half while I was trying to get to the airport. When I asked the front desk (likely the manager) for a taxi alternative, she was surprisingly rude and unhelpful, which left a bad final impression. She told me that she could help by googling it or that I could just do that. Customer service is everything when you're in time of need so I'm leaving 2 stars and never coming back.

Paper thin walls and ceilings. Sounded like a herd of elephants above my room.

Check in was a mess. The room we reserved was not what we were given. After being put in three different rooms we were finally giving the room we reserved. After a long day this frustration was the last thing we needed.

Hotel was nice and clean, however this location has the worst complimentary breakfast ever.., took them forever to bring out the food, there wasn’t much to select from, and rude when asked, if you’re wondering why the 5 star rating it’s due to an error, I meant to choose a 3 star, only because our room was nice clean and cozy..

We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with 3 beds. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable! Staff was great as well as the atmosphere. The breakfast was good although we cooked in our room one morning for a quiet breakfast with our newly graduated sailor. Having this large space was definitely nice with a larger family.

My family and I only stayed for one night, but it was a great experience. I would recommend staying there to friends and family if they were traveling through.

I loved this hotel room!! We were in town visiting family for the holidays. This hotel offers a room with two separate bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms (one set for us, one for kids) PLUS a living room/kitchen. Nothing but positives!

PS Rosey in the restaurant was very attentive and was doing the work of 3 people. My observation was that during the breakfast time you are short handed. It would be a wise investment to hire an additional person to come in and just be there for the breakfast hours.

Place was overall good , they upgraded me from a 1 to a 2 bedroom. Because i needed the shower that was handicap that i booked on expedia. They dont have 1 bedroom with handicap accessible shower as described. They can do better on the breakfast. Thats 1 complaint. 2nd complaint i extended for 1 day and was double charged now i have to wait for my funds to return to my account. Would stay again though

Our only actual complaint/suggestion is that there be bathroom vents installed. Anyone in the room can hear and smell any business that goes on in the bathroom. 😅

Our stay was really comfortable! This hotel is tucked away in a business park, so there isn't much noise from traffic other than the cars coming and going from the hotel itself. The room was set up well for our needs: a full-sized fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and two-burner stovetop in the kitchen, queen sized bed, tv, couch, desk, and bathroom with a tub. We only stayed for a night, but it appears they take guests for week+ stays as well. The breakfast buffet was satisfying, their courtyard was cute, and their pool was slightly heated and a nice size for the price. No hot tub if you are looking for that, but still a nice stay over all.

It was a great breakfast and I enjoyed the layout of the 2 bedroom suite.

We loved the suite! It accommodated all of my 8 family members. I loved the convtof having 2 bathrooms. It was great to have the airport and the Navy base so closely. Another thing that we liked was the free washer and dryer a big help when you travel from far away with a big family. We also loved the full kitchen with a regular size refrigerator, even dish soap was provided! Lastly we were really impressed with the social hour. The meatball sandwich and salad, plus a drink was very appetizing and appreciated! I’ve stayed several times here and in Mexico in a Staybridge and never been disappointed. Thank you!

Property and room are nice.

Loved the place except that we could hear people around us. Someone’s alarm woke us up in the morning and we could hear children crying etc. needs to be sound proof.

Similar to multiple other hotels in the area, it is clean, convenient and the staff is friendly. The lobby area is quite nice, the breakfast is better than most, and the price is less than its competitors.

In a great neighborhood. Quiet, clean. Excellent room layout. Free laundry was very nice to have. Nice breakfast.

This is our second stay this year. And it will be our go to for future stays. Comfy bed. Clean everywhere. Lovely common areas and courtyard. Enjoyed the pool this time also. We usually do not eat hotel breakfast unless there is a full restaurant. But theirs was exceptional.

What an excellent place to stay for a large family in a beautiful suburb setting. For our trip Staybridge was perfect. The whole family commented on how nice it was to have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with living area and full kitchen. I would definitely stay again.

Safety and clean.

This was in a great location as it was not too busy and it felt very safe. Our room was very large and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of options both healthy and not. We had plans for six flags as well as in Chicago so this location was a perfect distance from both.

Rooms on the lower level on either end of the hotel. Had a musty smell in them like they were flooded. The carpets were wet. I know there was a pool on one end but we were on the other end and the room had a musty damp odor so we had to move to the third floor the next day when they had a open room. Even when leaving and coming going in the side door the musty odor was still in the hallways. They need it the humidifiers in the rooms in the hallways to get rid of that odor. Find out if there's mold buildup

This hotel is unusual. We had a great family room with two doubles & 1 queen and 2 bedrooms. However, the mattresses were falling off the platforms, the comforters came out of their covers and the couch and chairs were very dated and squeaky. Breakfast was pretty varied and staff was friendly and helpful. They also have a dinner 3 days a week! The exercise room, pool and community areas were nicer and the outside beautiful. The area was corporate but overall seemed safe.

We loved the spacious rooms! We had a two bedroom suite. It was absolutely perfect for our trip to Illinois. We would 100% book again. Same hotel and all.

Liked the convenience of the kitchenette and indoor pool. Didn't like the outdated, extremely loud AC system; it sounds like an aircraft when turned on. And on the weekends, there are drunk folks next door who scream and sing after 11 pm. One of the staff should periodically walk the floors after 11 pm to assess what is happening in the rooms.

When I booked a room I was unaware all the rooms in the hotel are pet friendly. I requested a pet free room. None. We walked into our room and it smelled like cat urine and a heavy perfume trying to coverup the odor. We did get another room. The mattress was horribly uncomfortable and had a dent in the middle. Many other things, the hotel is dated and is in need of major updating.

My kids loved staying here! We had the 2 bedroom suite an they loved having their own bedroom and bathroom. Everything was very clean. Reception was kid friendly and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stay again.

I stayed for recovery from. Surgical procedure. There was extra room for a visiting nurse. I have used Staybridge suites several times and have never been disappointed.

Upon check in we noticed the trash can under the sink had not been emptied, the previous guests left clean drying dishes on the counter so we didn’t have any clean towels to dry our own dishes, there was hair in the bathroom shower and we had asked, twice, for our room to be vacuumed while we were out one of the three night stays and it was never vacuumed.

The breakfast was the best we have had in a long time. So many options. Liked the fire pit at night and the ability to have grills available. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Everything was amazing about this hotel. My kids cried because they didn’t want to leave. All of the staff was amazing but David the maintenance man and the guy that’s over breakfast really stood out! We will definitely be back when we’re in the area!

The only con was the breakfast powdered eggs salty processed sausages potatoes just weren't good. They do have a kitchen so you can always cook your own breakfast.

The outdoor patio was a nice feature with firepit and chairs as well as grill to be used to cook on. The only negative thing i could say was the breakfast. Wasnt too impressed. They kept running out of food and was a wait to get seconds. They can definitely had a few more waffle makers with the amount of people. My rating of this hotel is a solid 9/10.

Had 2 bedroom suite for 4 nights for bootcamp graduation. Hair dryer was missing. We asked 3 times for one and never received. Our room had french fries on desk from previous occupant so rooms are questionable in its cleanliness if that was missed. Two phones in room neither worked. Requested for them to be fixed no one ever came. Husband ran into maintenance man in hallway on third day of trip and he was able to fix one. (He was very helpful and nice). Continental breakfast constantly runs out of hot food with long wait times to get replenished. One day none of us was able to get anything after waiting 15 minutes. Finally left to go to a restaurant.

The funiture is so old and the chair is very uncomfortable, my back hurts. The bed is so unstable i almost fell off and broke my back and the toilet didnt flush.

I don’t always go off reviews …..but I loved this hotel so much that I’ll keep coming back (when needed) it is clean and smells so nice! The service was amazing from the start to finish the indoor pool was a plus for my kids the laundry was amazing as well as convenient! Management was top notch as they always asked if everything was ok!

Natalie, the Manager, is outstanding—warm, professional, and always attentive. Her leadership sets the tone for a truly positive environment. The housekeeping team kept everything spotless and were always friendly and respectful. The kitchen staff was also amazing—Sergio is fantastic, and Rosie, who cooks in the evenings, is absolutely wonderful. Her meals are always comforting and delicious, and she brings such a kind, personal touch to every evening. David is another standout—he keeps everything on the property in top-notch shape, and it’s clear he takes pride in his work. And I have to give a special shout-out to Ashley, who helped me when I was having computer issues for work. She went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed, and her kindness and patience made a big difference during a stressful moment. Thank you to everyone at The Sturbridge Suites for making my stay so enjoyable. I’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending this gem to family and friends.

Very clean, no issues there. The staff were excellent and very welcoming and accommodating. The building manager made sure to say hi every time he saw us, and we loved it! Didn't really run into any issues at all, except the pool was a little cold.

Breakfast wasn’t that great. Eggs were a little “gritty”. Sausage was a little flavorless. Couldn’t try the potatoes cause there never was any. Staff were nice/polite. Housekeeping never showed to take out our trash or replace our towels even on request, but front desk did replace our towels when we called. Housekeeping just got stuck with extra trash the next day. Overall it was a Good Stay!!

However breakfast could be a little better we had to wait very long to be able to use the only one waffle maker,, they should’ve have at least 3 for the amount of people staying in the facility.

I love that there's free parking, breakfast and i love how big the rooms were. I didn't like that the house keeper only cleaned our suite once the whole time we were there. I didn't like the bed in the room that has one bed in it. The bed really hurt my back and i had a horrible time trying to sleep because of it. This is the first time i had any complaints about this place though.

The hotel is old and smells terrible. The employees were questionable. Some being completely dirty and others giving false information. The pool is freezing and has no hot tub. Kids swam for about 20 mins and got out with blue hands and lips.

Will definitely be back! Pool could have been cleaner but there was kids every time I went down that could have made the water gross but everything else was amazing the best hotel I’ve stayed in near Chicago. The staff in the morning cleaning up breakfast she barely spoke English but she was the nicest and got me a bagel at like 11:30 I really apprised it since we’ were in the hospital all night and didn’t make it up in time for breakfast. She didn’t know that thought. 5 stars!

The room was nice friendly staff. One the of the reasons we booked here was for the pool. There were no pool towels the pool area was dirty with used towels everywhere. When my partnwr went into the pool he noticed a towel in the pool as he was going to grab it and take it out he noticed blood on it and the pool ladder and wall also had blood splattered on it. I didnt have my phone on hand to take pictures The other thing there was dog poop in the all over the parking and sidewalk. Bad pet owners.
