The inflexible and understaffed Hilton Spark reflect the lack of control local staff when a major corporation is only looking at savings. The staff does not allow early check-in (never), does not know if rooms have been clean (mine wasn’t), and a maid could not let me back in my room when she saw I had locked myself out (walk way back to front desk where there’s no staff to get another key card). The handicap accessible room is at the far end of the hotel, so they tell you to park near the room and use the side door, that has no key card entry and has a 10” step (not accessible). Look at locally owned options for cute little Lockport.

Paid for a King bed, got a queen. No carpet on the floor. Not a single plug on the left side of the bed. Toilet running when arrived and had to unclog it myself. “Continental” breakfast a joke and totally picked over by 9. Had to ask for the plates and napkins to be replenished. No microwave or coffee/tea maker in the room. Handicap room, not requested. No chair, no dresser, no tub. $4 for a Sprite, give me a break.

This place is not as advertised! The rooms are alright, cheaply redone but alright. The breakfast is non existent. All there was is cereal and sad looking bagels. The pool is cracking and is unsafe to walk on. The washing machine and dryer was broken, had to go to a laundry mat nearby. And late at night there was a party in the parking lot with loud music
- 2/5
Waited forever to check in cause nobody was there an then when I get to the room getting dressed for my birthday party and a neighbor knocked on my door telling me to lower my music jbl speaker small so I leave for my party an came back an someone else knows on my door this time saying I’m talking to loud on my phone

The room and bathroom were not clean. There was a definite odor. The TV remote was missing.

Dirty floors in the rooms, some very helpful staff and some quiet staff. Only were given 1 room key. Other people we knew who stayed in another room only had 3 pillows and were told by front desk that they didn't have any more. Acceptable stay but would look elsewhere
- 2/5
I ordered a king bed and got two queens. No warning or nothing, just given the wrong room. Wouldn’t do anything about it. Then the body wash was empty so I asked for body wash. Twice. And twice I was told they were coming in 5 minutes. After an hour I walked over and it was a different person. Poor poor poor customer service. Halls smelled like weed.

Staff were very nice. Pool was great. Breakfast needed help.
- 4/5
Most staff members were friendly and courteous. Although our room cleanliness was good, the halls, hall carpets, elevator area was not the cleanest and had a bad odor. A bottle cap was on the floor outside the elevator in the evening and still there the next morning. I’m sure numerous staff would have had to walk by and ignore it. We stayed 4 nights. Bath towels and one hand towel was replaced on day 3 which was great, but no clean wash cloths were left, so we had no wash cloths for the last day of stay.

The hotel is renovated to look updated, but it didn't seem there were enough staff to keep things clean and running smoothly. We were there for 5 days and never once saw someone vacuuming or mopping. We only on one random occasion came back to beds made and clean towels left for us. We were a 4-person reservation and never had 4 clean towels in our room at any one point. At breakfast, things (like plates, yogurt, creamer) were out on a rotating basis and when we asked staff members, they said there were none. We really wanted to rate our stay well, but there were just too many misses. Even the water fill station was blinking red next to the "time to change the filter," but it seemed no one there was planning to do anything about it. In the rooms, there's no microwave or coffee maker (which, at this point I thought was just a standard), so when we needed to reheat food, we had to use the ancient and very dirty communal microwave in the lobby. My children loved swimming in the pool, but I just had to turn a blind eye to the lack of cleanliness - there were literally clumps of someone's hair on the pool deck for days. I'm sorry to list so many faults, but it just seemed like no one working there really cared much for the place or our experience staying there.

The rooms were only soft cleaned when we checked in. The bedding was not changed. You can tell the bed was just remade. The toilet paper roll was near empty, it do not have that “toilet paper fold”. There was only one wash cloth and two towels in the room. We checked in with three people. The body wash and shampoo containers were empty. When I spoke with the front desk the looked at me, dumbfounded, and just said “okay”. After a brief pause I asked for clean towels and wash cloths. The front desk clerk said “well, I have to check to see if we have any clean”. Mind you, I used this same hotel last fall and had a similar experience. They “ran out of towels” and we had absolutely none. When I requested a refund the manager called me a liar and refused because I had already stayed there. This time I checked out after the first night. Still waiting on a promised refund of the second and third night. Do not use this hotel!! You will be disappointed.

I booked a King room through this site and the booking was not honored. I was downgraded to a Queen handicap accessible. I was told by the manager at the hotel and by Hilton customer service that it wasn't their problem and I needed to contact Booking.com.

the room we were originally given was not ready. We were given a clean room. It was quiet around us..Breakfast was good. Staff very attentive.

The breakfast was very limited and didn't have items like salt and pepper packets for the hard boiled eggs. There was never any plain cream cheese available, only garden veggie. Kinda subpar breakfast honestly The grounds were very unclean and dirty with trash. There were and still are, two broken down vehicles in the parking lot the entire time I stayed (two weeks). No microwave in the rooms which is odd considering there is a space for them in the shelving units in the hotel rooms.

Fraudult charges on my credit card by the manager. Redwood hotels was not receptive to my complaints. Do not stay here
- 1/5
The manager Nona was smug and fraudulent. She erroneously charged my credit card $359. A week for damage to towels and sheets. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. Hotel was a little run down, the free breakfast wasn't much, the hotel looked a lot nicer than in the pics. It took a long time for the water to heat up. Not the level of quality I expected from Hilton. However, price was cheap and the rooms were clean.

Location The rooms were very sparse of furniture. There was no chair, no desk, no coffee maker. The breakfast was very limited as well

The room was pleasant, clean, and featured all the necessary amenities. The staff provided excellent service. However, the breakfast was a bit disappointing.

No Washer/Dryer for over a month & no one seemed to worry. Snow outside and they sent their guests across the street in the snow to get laundry done. Did not give them extra money to do so, did not accommodate and it was an inconvenience. Not a good customer service, no urgency to get the "missing part". Blacklisting this one.

Easy parking. Room was clean but spartan. Would have been nice to have regular dressers with drawers. Telephone did not work.

It was relatively quiet, I liked where our room was. The staff were friendly and greeted us every time we came in and left. Were super helpful and checked us in and out in a timely fashion.

I was overcharged for my stay. When I booked I was told $238.33 (Canadian) but I was charged $237.33 and $446.79.

We couldn’t check in with our bank debit/credit card. Apparently there’s a new policy that they only take major credit cards and can’t bypass the pin on bank cards. Luckily a relative was also staying there and we used their card. The pool was out of service and it didn’t specify that on the website. Our shower was broken. Half the water went out the shower head and the other half went out the faucet. The knob was stuck in place, so you couldn’t adjust it. The hallways smelled like pet urine and you could hear dogs barking the whole time. They have a bagel bar with no gluten free choices. We stay at a lot of hotels and this one was not great.

Veey nice place to stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
This is a pet friendly hotel which is great as a pet parent myself I enjoyed seeing all the pets come and go through the front. However, the carpet to the main floor rooms smelled like an over used potty pad. The room itself did not smell similar however, the clean scent of the room mixed with the potty pad smell of the hall once the door closed to the room. I spoke to the front desk about this and they were kind enough to move me to the second floor where it was much better. Breakfast is a cold breakfast compeised of bagles, muffins and cereals. All in all good for a one night stay but personally would not stay any longer then this.

WE WERE IN TOWN FOR A FUNERAL AND IT WAS A NICE CLEAN REASONABLE PLACE TO STAY. I WOULD STAY AND RECOMMEND
- 1/5
The next morning, I informed a housekeeper who simply said, “Sorry, I just work here. You’ll have to go to the front desk.” When I did, the front desk clerk said she’d have to move me to another room. I packed everything, only to find the new room didn’t exist on the main floor plan. When I returned to ask again, she casually mentioned that it was in a separate wing of the hotel — something she failed to tell me in the first place. To top it off, I was double-charged — once by Hotels.com and again by the hotel at check-in (plus a security deposit). When I brought this to the manager’s attention, she said there was “nothing she could do” because she didn’t see the charge in her computer. Even after I showed her my credit card statement, she still insisted I call Hotels.com instead of taking any responsibility. After staying in hundreds of hotels, I can honestly say this was the most disorganized, dismissive, and frustrating experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble — stay elsewhere.

Clean room. Opening door was noisy and could hear next door room
- 3/5
There was no hot water for showers, pillows were flat , and coberbs
- 1/5
There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, the heater was very loud, it was very noisy, and when asking the front desk attendant for more towels/washcloths she said she did not have any at the time. Since they did not do housekeeping in our room we only had enough towels and washcloths for one night. It was very horrible, will not go back. Reported no hot water too and nothing was done about it.
- 3/5
The beds and bathroom were clean. The room floor had not been swept well as there were chips and other things on it. Beds were comfortable and clean. Staff was SUPER friendly and nice. Breakfast wasn’t worth it to us to attend as it had very little. There was a weird smell but it wasn’t mold or anything, I think it was due to the construction going on in the right side of the the building (although we never heard any disruptions.) Would still stay here again.

Very good hotel.

Very little on the breakfast bar.
- 4/5
The staff was great. Very helpful and nice. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. I was thrilled to see beds that weren’t real high. Many places have the darn high beds and no steps to climb into them. I really liked the comfortable bed that I could sit down on. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is the drain in the bathroom had some gross gunk in it. Otherwise everything else was clean. I also appreciate the noon checkout. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Checking in was good. Staff was friendly but food and other service was missing.

Room itself was decent. Breakfast items lacking. Pool not in service and in a disgusting state. Not even coffee cups available - had to drink coffee/juice out of take out soup bowls!!
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast goes fast so go down early if you want some.
- 5/5
Pool was down. The laundry was broken. Just a pastry breakfast. They allow too many dogs.
- 5/5
Toilet handle was loose and jiggly. Flushed fine but sometimes it flushed on its own. Need a few more breakfast options.

Nice staff clean room no complaints

Super Sparky was great times!!

Cons: -The hotel charges a $150 hold on your payment for incidentals. No where on the booking site we used was this mentioned. -Breakfast was lackluster at best. It offered watered down juices that were undrinkable. The variety of cereal was good, however, the milk was room temperature and tasted sour. The featured "bagel bar" well the two bagels in the case were stale and the toaster was broke. There were a few muffins and a heel or two of bread. Very disappointing. -The pool was closed for maintenence. Would have been nice if it was listed on the booking site.
- 2/5
The quality was very low
- 3/5
We were disappointed to arrive and find out that the pool was out of service. This was one of the dividing factors when booking here and it was not mentioned on Expedia

Came with my husband and 3 year old and it was going well at first, then either next store, above us, or across from us had a family of about 8 young kids. As a mom and family, we don't mind the crying, screaming and tolerate a lot but it was between 930 to 11 at night somewhere near us kept slamming doors, opening, shutting, stomping noises for a long time as we were trying hard to get our three year old to sleep with a dark room and silence but the door slamming was not working for us. maybe having a large family, there should be connecting rooms so the door slamming is less? So the entire hallways had screaming kids including ours. Idk if there is a way to get make the sound better in rooms because we could hear TVs next door, conversations next door. We all would fall asleep, wake up to another door slam, calm down our toddler and then go back to sleep to be woken again. Also, we were really hoping for the pool to kind of help our toddler release some energy before going to bed but it was out of order. I wish we knew before he took his late nap getting there.

Breakfast could be better, no shower gel in bottle, faucet only hot water, no room service
- 2/5
The property was at a good location for us and they had new sheets & towels, however it was run down with just a coat of paint and some new items put in the building. The tub was disgusting, there was no plug and all rotted out. The smell was horrendous, the breakfast bar was minimal to say the least.
- 4/5
Overall it is good

The rooms were So nice! Comfy bed and large tv. I love how Hilton has full size pump bottles in the shower now. Front desk staff was awesome with us as we arrived late on the evening. Wish we had a reason to stay more than one night.
