Courtyard by Marriott Long Beach Airport

The staff was not very friendly when we checked in. Our luggage was held at the front desk but only because we asked. The coffee shop was not open in the late morning, we were told only for dinner. The room was nice and clean. Overall, it was fine but I wouldn’t pick it again.

Location Overpriced, not good value. Chargers for parking. Hotel is started to feel warn out and dated. Carpet in room was wet and heavy sanitized spray was used.

The refrigerator in the room did not get cold. Only one elevator, and it was in need of maintenance. try to hook my fire stick to the TV, but the volume wouldn’t lower.. this is a second Marriott that had the Tv do that to us.

Great location - close to airport, on-site restaurant and many restaurants within walking distance. Complimentary airport shuttle. Clean, comfortable, well equipped. This is our preferred hotel when we are in Long Beach the night before a cruise.

The hotel is clean generally well maintained although tile grout in bathroom is showing its age. There is poor to no cell phone coverage in the hotel. A hotel employee reported this was because of the nearby airport. I was told by a guest that only some carriers have a problem. The Courtyard charges $20/day for parking. Unfortunately that charge does not cover security or cameras for the parking area. We had $150 of gas siphoned from our vehicle. The facility was sympathetic, but made no offer of compensation for our loss. They did say that they would turn a claim into an insurance company. It’s been nearly two weeks and we haven’t heard anything from an insurance company or Coutyard by Marriott. If stay there park under a light by the front entrance and don’t expect help.

The location was excellent, close to lots of restaurants and shops. Our room was quite unclean. We found dog or cat food on the carpet in the corner of the room, obviously the carpets were not vacuumed after the last guest. My husband has the worst allergies due to an animal being in the room before us. Very disappointing stay. Ensure you ask for a pet free room if you have allergies to animals.

Everything was largely as I would expect from a Marriott Courtyard - clean and comfortable. However, the connectivity in this hotel was terrible - don't stay here if you need to work. There is little to no cell service and the WiFi is ineffective. Also, I was a bit turned off by the $20 parking charge...

Everything was great as usual. We n stay here for 6 or 7 nights every 6 months and I always enjoy it. The rooms are great, as is the restaurant/bar and the food options within 1-2 minutes walking distance are also great as is having a Whole Foods right next door.

Staff wasn't particularly friendly at check in. Room wasn't great - toilet flushed but sprayed water (and waste!!) up if the lid wasn't shut. Room darkening shades were falling off the slider and didn't fully close. Funky smell in the middle of the night. Pull out bed was comparable to a hard gym mattress. Comfortable king mattress. Flimsy bed pillows. Great location - very walkable to food and shopping. Not worth the price.

Clean room, easy check in, nice pool, jacuzzi, and small gym. No one disturbed us, overall it was a cool experience.

The room was very bare. No shower cap, blow dryer, lotion, extra pillows/blankets. Only one bar of hand soap and one makeup remover package. I expect more from Marriott. The bed itself was stiff, hard mattress too. The bathtub floor was slippery to the point my mom couldn’t take a shower she could’ve fallen. No vent to clear the bathroom odors.

mat provided in the shower. The shower floor and the whole bathroom floor were very slippery when wet! I threw a towel in the shower to stand on. Not ideal.

I enjoyed the room it was very clean and everyone who worked at the hotel were very kind.

We reserved a King bed, but they overbooked their King Beds so we had to settle for 2 queens. I wasn’t happy about that. In addition to paying $224 for the room plus taxes, they charged $18/day for parking! We won’t be staying here again.

Everything was great except my restroom had a missing fan button & I couldn’t use it.

We didn't use the shuttle services as it's for Long Beach Airport only and we need to fly from LAX. We picked this hotel as it looks nice and not far from Long Beach downtown. The staff is professional. The breakfast is okay only.

Staff service is always top notch here. Exercise, pool and hot tub areas are kept up well. One drawback this time was being without water for 8-9 hours during the one day while they updated their system, but we kept ourselves busy outside the hotel while this was happening. Altogether, it was another great stay here!

I have nothing but phenomenal things to say about this hotel. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was amazing. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect. We could walk to many restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Long Beach area!

I loved the simplicity of the room, the layout was very nice. The tiles in the bathroom, however, were creaking when I stepped on them and one even had a crack down the middle. You may want to check if they were installed correctly.

Overall the room and the hotel and surrounding areas are very nice. You have to pay for parking which is ridiculous with the high price of the room it should be included. The elevator is scary and probably needs some service.

The unreliability of the shuttle service nearly caused us to miss our bus to the Carnival Port. The driver went to Home Depot, even though we had already asked about the shuttle schedule that morning. We ended up having to call both Uber and Lyft (we had a large party). So, instead of receiving the free shuttle service to the airport, that was included in the price of the rooms, we had to pay out of pocket. This was a stressful, unexpected expense and inconvenience.

Close to everything !

Check-in was quick, and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The towels were soft—just like the toilet paper. There was plenty of parking available. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The place was nice but since we made the reservations with a third party. We were having trouble extending our stay the person at the counter said if we needed to extend we would have to do it through them but we could not find where to do it and the AI was worthless. We end up staying across the street at Hampton inn. Glad we did it was much nicer and cheaper too!

Great stay! I generally stay at a different hotel, but was arriving later than normal and was solo. This hotel offered a shuttle from the airport until 10:00 pm. My flight was arriving at 9:30, so I needed that service. I loved this hotel! Every single employee I interacted with was personable and went above and beyond. I’m ditching my other hotel and will be staying here going forward. I visit the area 4 x’s each year. A definite yes for me. I will not hesitate to book here again.

The staff was great, especially Nick. Happy to offer suggestions for food and activities. Easy check in, easy airport pick up (every 30 min), easy airport drop off (every 30 min). Walking distance to many great restaurant and shopping choices. Only 30 min uber drive to the coast for whale watching tours and such. Bistro and bar in hotel lobby, with a great outdoor patio with umbrellas. Didn’t use the pool or gym while there but saw many that did. Would certainly stay here again.

Very nice hotel in walking distance to dinning, shopping and a grocery store. Shuttle to the airport was great. Plenty of seating in the lobby and outside and a nice bar. There is a nice, big, clean, shaded area for smokers also. There is lots of food and drinks that can be purchased in the lobby store, even some Ben & Jerrys ice-cream! Big clean pool and spa. Great safe place to stay and very close to the airport. Comfy beds and pillows. I would stay here again.

Only thing that comes to mind is jacuzzi temperature was not even 98 degrees. Also this morning van shuttle to airport was 10 minutes late and parked in front out in rain instead of under entry roof cover! Why? 5:40 in morning. Lady opened back van doors and did not even help load luggage into van.

Our shower didn't work which was not good at all. The power went out on the Sunday we were to check out and catch our cruise ship, lucky we were still in our room and didn't get locked out like some of the guests.

loud obscene noises all night until morning. We did not get any sleep it really made our hotel stay with my child very uncomfortable and unpleasant. we called hotel staff but noise would only stop for a few minutes and continue. The worst experience to say the least

Staff was friendly and accommodating. However, this getting a lower rating because of a few things: 1. We were woken up at 5M on our first night to the sound of dripping. Turns out the ceiling was leaking. We called the front desk and at first they made it seem like they might not able to get us into a new room until I pressed harder for them to. They blamed it on the system being slow and the fact that they were fully booked. After some back and forth, they were able to get us into a new room soon after we got off the phone. 2. The walls are paper thin. We heard everything in the rooms next to us. On our last night the people in the room next to us has their TV blaring past 11PM. Had to complain to the front desk just because it was keeping us up. For as much as we paid for the rooms (close to $400/night) I was really hoping to just have an easy, hassle free stay. Unfortunately, it was not.

Great property, nice staff but the biggest disappointment was little or no cell phone service. I needed to leave the hotel to make calls. The staff was aware and said it was likely due to being so close to the airport. So if you need a bed for the night and have no need to talk to anyone, this place would be great for you.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the accomodations were clean and comfortable. On-site food options were great - loved the Bistro menu and the bar. Walking distance to a really great public market was perfect for our group. Only tiny frustrations were there was no bathroom fan and the thermostat/AC wasn't steady and required frequent adjustment.Overall we would absolutely stay here again.

This was a wonderful hotel and just what we needed. The hot tub was great too.

There is no cellular data and the WiFi is spotty at best. We were unable to do homework during our stay because of the lack of internet connection. We will not stay here again.

Very old and ordinary service

The location and walkability to nearby food providers is really great. The beds are just okay for two people sharing. Sloping to the middle and the mattress is kinda lumpy / crunchy.

Check-in was easy, parking was close to the lobby, and there are a lot of dining options nearby. Hotel was quiet, bed was comfy. Huge ottoman and sofa combo was great. Eco- friendly rating: B-. There were single use soap and plastic cups provided and single use plastic water bottles for sale; shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in shower.

First impression of the hotel was I felt it was very clean and had a real honey feeling. Lots of area in the lobby to handle anything you needed in fact a group of 4 were playing cards and having dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room layout was different from most rooms with the bed almost feeling like it isolated away from being the first thing you see when coming in the room. Would stay again if in the area.

$18 bucks for parking! $10 for coffee. Really?

And did not have a room For us, we had to drive all the way back home from LA without a room. The front clerk was non chalant and did not show any care or concern for us . The front door of the lobby was locked with chairs in the way with a sign that said we are full. Had to get their attention to even see us to try to check in for a room we pre paid for
