Very nice lobby and patio, clean room, convenient location for our short stay. The tables in the lobby were not kept very clean. There were coffee stains and stains on the chair seats. The coffee maker in the room did not work, and there was an error saying it needed to be “descaled”, so we could not make use of it, also the shampoo had very little content therefore could barely pump anything out. Of course, did not find that out until already showering. Not many dining options within walking distance.

The staff was well trained, highly professional, warm, and attentive. Our room, on the 7th floor, was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bar and adjoining outdoor patio, on a Saturday night, was lively but not noisy. Sunday brunch was well done and included made-to-order omlettes individually crafted by a talented chef. And the small outdoor patio off the main dining room was an island of tranquility. To sum it up, our stay was very pleasant and I'm sure we will stay there again on our next visit to LA.

I loved the property as it was close to the places we needed to go at ucla. It was very clean and modern, and spacious for the price. The free lotions and waters were great as well, and the gym was good too. One thing to improve could be to add a fridge or other kitchen amenities; for example you could replace the safe which no one ever uses with a microwave. I would’ve also appreciated complaint breakfast which is usually standard in hotels. Staff was very friendly and helpful though immediately when walking in.

The breakfast buffet was disappointing again. We stay at this hotel many times a year to visit our grandchildren. The food was cold and the espresso machine was down 6weeks ago and still wasn’t working. They gave us two coupons for free drink, but couldn’t use them since the Espresso machine was down.

We stayed at the Luskin to attend the NCAA men’s volleyball national championship and it was the perfect choice. Loved that we could walk to Pauley Pavilion and all over Westwood for dining and the on site bar and restaurant with its beautiful patio was the perfect hangout spot for the weekend. Highly, highly recommend!

We love to staying for its cleanliness and convenience. It is very close to Westwood Village and it’s right on campus, so very easy to get to UCLA events.

My family likes to stay here at Luskin every time we come to visit our son at school. The rooms are comfortable, the food is delicious, and it's a nice, convenient place to walk everywhere around UCLA.

Perfectly located on UCLA campus with good sized rooms, modern decor and pleasant staff. A bit pricey but location makes it worth it.

Breakfast service making it buffet and charging $36 per person is bad. Please make it ala carte to pay for what we choose. For vegetarians and eggetarians, $36 doesn't provide lot of options other than just scrambled eggs. Need to improve variety and make it ala carte. For the $400 per night that you are charging, water should be free (not just two bottles). I didn't see any coffee machines in the reception floor. Room maintenance is subpar as coffee machines were not working and all the condiments packets, glass and everything in coffee machine area in the room was full of dust and it appears hasn't been cleaned for weeks! Very bad and disappointed having paid $380+ per night. Also, room lights were very dim and not bright in the middle of the room. Front desk was very helpful with questions. Main complaint is either charge $200/night or if you are charging like 5*, make the amenities and service like 5* - currently, other than location, it looks like a 3* amenities and room service.

We have stayed at Luskin many times for clinical trial and cancer treatment at UCLA. Staff is always exceptional in their support, customer service and accommodation requests. Always feel like every member of the team truly wants you to have the best experience possible. Rooms and entire property are so very spacious and incredibly clean. Being able to open a window in the room is a wonderful feature. Staff has always accommodated with a mini fridge request, as I travel with medication requiring cooling (otherwise, doesn’t appear that fridge comes standard in the room). Very comfortable beds. Great restaurant on property. Convenient in-out self-parking accessible by the elevator (separate fee but that is Los Angeles:) Great, walkable location in Westwood village and on the grounds of the UCLA campus. Always excellent stay. Thank you Luskin!

Very convenient location for UCLA events (was there for NCAA mens volleyball championship). Near LAX and many transportation options. Restaurant, Plateia, was convenient, pretty and had very good food, reasonable prices. Bar was also very good to have. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff very nice and helpful. Will go back if I need to be in the area again.

Very lovely hotel. Love the no tipping policy. Staff are good and friendly. I think the policy that requires you pay half the cost of the room in order to stay two hours longer is ridiculous and the desk staff should be able to grant more time depending on the situation. The cost of the rooms and the amenities don’t really match. There should be package deals for parents of students that decrease the costs. Room service is kind of a joke, it’s just to-go brought to your room. No plates, silverware provided. Not worth the added charge.

The Luskin is always an exceptional stay. Staff is helpful, rooms are clean, and restaurant is accessible.

Food was good, dinner was pricey, but I was expecting that. I wish the room had its own thermostat, but it was comfortable enough. I think hotels often overdo the air conditioning.

Recently stayed 2 nights for Bruin Day at UCLA. Front desk staff was wonderful and able to change our room from one king bed to a room with 2 double beds. Rooms were clean and comfortable, proximity to UCLA can’t be beat, and the restaurant was wonderful.

It was only an overpriced breakfast buffet with not tremendous offerings. They no longer give newspapers in the front desk. And they were not able to make lattes cuz they claim the machine was not working. Disappointing.l

A great place to stay near the UCLA campus. Very professional staff, good size rooms and excellent bar/restaurant.

There is also a gym with free weights, treadmills and elliptical machine. The restaurant is also lovely. We will definitely stay at this location again.

It was just okay. The fact that there were no robes, slippers or a mini fridge really took away from the comfort of the stay. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel with a steep price. Also they had truly awful coffee in the room. Otherwise the room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed.

you should have someone posted at the door questioning everyone of proof of staying not some from out of state for a medical reason stay paying probably more then a group stay and treated very unprofessionally

I will say the rooms have very thin walls. The staff was willing to make alternate accommodations because of a noise disturbance but the issue was resolved.

This luxury hotel is a totally hidden gem right smack in the middle of West LA, convenient to anything on the Westside. Excellent restaurant, overall amazing service, super clean, new and modern, and just gorgeous.

After a Manager responded to my first bad review, I really thought they would make a concerted effort to improve in the areas I referenced. No such luck: no bellman, no valet parking, and the mattresses are hard as a rock!

Cons (personally): It was VERY noisy but youre also right by the ucla campus, so it makes sense. There was no fridge, microwave, or shower door (?); mostly fine but it means you cant really bring food for later and thats just very inconvenient.

Beautiful room and lovely staff. My only suggestion is to offer a place for coffee and grab-and-go breakfast items in the morning. At present, the only option is the buffet breakfast, but many guests do not have time for a full sit-down breakfast and just need coffee/juice and a bagel/muffin/yogurt. Thank you.

My mother and I loved every single thing about our stay at the Luskin. From the parking attendant to the front desk to the bartenders waiters and breakfast staff, we couldn’t have had better interactions. We want to commend the hospitality training and hiring at the Luskin, I have stayed in far more expensive places and had far less wonderful service. Congratulations. We will certainly come back again.

Everything and everyone was great. The only issue was the service for dinner. There were so many people waiting for dinner (we had a reservation) and we were seated at our reservation time but an order was not taken until at least 45 min. after we were seated. Granted, it was busy (after a gymnastics meet) but that was a long time to wait. Dinner was great, but we had a reservation and expected to be served shortly after.

The only option for breakfast was a buffet, which was expensive for a family of 4. They said coffee was available, but not until 7:00am. So we found the dining options very limited in the morning.

Amazing service, accommodations and location

Some of the parking lot spaces were smaller than compact if you decide to self-park in their lot. I was a bit annoyed that some people left their cars in the EV charging in the parking lot even after they were fully charged. That could be better enforced or maybe there just weren’t many other spots to choose from because it of the space issue. Overall, it was a great value, and I’ll be staying again if I’m in the area.

Hotel is beautiful. Would like the option for a non-buffet breakfast meal in restaurant. The showers, while they look nice, are not very functional - low water flow and no door on shower to keep you warm.

I always appreciate when their are 2 different pillows, one that is flatter and one fluffier so you can have a choice of what works better for you. When we arrived to check in on Christmas Eve, the hotel informed us that the room we had booked was not available.

Everything met the expectation, except we were disappointed there is no refrigerator in the room.

In the morning, around 9–10am, my hotel room was knocked on twice by a stranger. I was not expecting housekeeping or any service, and this made me feel unsafe as a solo guest. When I reported this to the front desk during check-out, the response was simply “I’m sorry,” with no follow-up questions, explanation, or any action taken. There was no attempt to investigate what happened or reassure me regarding guest safety. Safety and security should be a basic standard for any hotel. Unfortunately, both the incident itself and the staff’s indifferent response were disappointing. I would not feel comfortable staying here again.

We later learned that the hotel did not honor our Expedia Gold perks. We were given only one drink coupon, even though the benefit clearly states two per stay. The staff explained that the second was not honored because I was traveling with my 17-year-old—despite the fact that neither of us planned to consume alcohol and would have preferred something as simple as coffee. The next morning, we went to see the breakfast buffet, which is advertised as a highlight, but it lacked variety and was underwhelming, so we chose to eat elsewhere. Given the disruption from the sewage issue, I requested a late checkout as a courtesy, which was initially denied and only approved after I had to escalate the issue to a manager. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. Despite doing my research and reading many positive reviews, our experience unfortunately did not reflect them.

The room was very clean. The only downside is that there was some noise outside in the evening hour and the sound insulation was not that good as we could hear sounds from next room.

with every aspect of our stay. Personable and just lovely! Michael, was an exceptional as well. Michael floated around the lobby and answered all p of our questions and assisted getting us to ULA surgery appointments over the next three days. Michael was a happy, extrodinary man!

Staff was very nice and accommodating when I arrived earlier than check in time. The walls are somewhat thin and I could hear everything the guests next to me were saying through the walls. It also seems the TVs may be mounted on the wall in one room against where the headboards are in the next room, so I heard their TV playing all night. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

The Luskin hotel is located on the campus at UCLA. It is a beautiful campus. If you’re bringing your dog, there are lots of places to walk. I took advantage of both breakfast and dinner on several days, and the food was good occasionally they would try and move my service dog and I outside because they didn’t want to serve us inside the restaurant with everyone else

We visited UCLA, and the hotel was conveniently located right in the heart of the campus. The campus itself is stunning, and we enjoyed exploring it.

The room was really nice and comfortable. We found it easy to use the extras in the room. One downside was the football field was being groomed and it was quite noisy . . . starting at 4:00 AM!! The restaurant had really good food, we enjoyed all of our meals. Thanks for a really great stay.

If I had one thing to offer it would be that the internet is not secure, and it’s a bit confusing with two different types listed on the keycard envelope. I would suggest that the front desk let guests know this and provide guidance. Also, let guests know when they check in that keycard is required to access floors via elevator.

Compared with the other hotels in the area, I think this UCLA hotel holds higher standards. Their facilities are newer and cleaner, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining place provides excellent food. The only thing I don't like is that people smoke outside the hotel's beautiful garden. I can occasionally smell it, which is inconsistent with the quiet, beautiful campus environment.

Staff is amazing however the room was not comfortable at all. It was extremely far, the bed was stiff, the pillows too small, and the door to patio would not close properly. The toilet also makes noise when flushing and does not properly dispose of waste.

Great place to stay if you attend a conference or have some business at the UCLA campus. Good restaurant and bar (refuses tips). Love the art that is on display all through the hotel. You might miss a pool or whirlpool tub. Rooms were large and well kept.

Great hotel! The only issues was a noise clicking in the bathroom and the full light motion sensor going on in the middle of the night when entering the bathroom. Other than that, it was all positive!

However, 42 dollars a day for parking is way too expensive. and breakfast should have been included.

Wonderful place to stay….dropped our kid off for school. Parking, dining etc….were easy. The ucla souvenir shop is very close as well. Will repeat our stay with this hotel.

Location is good. Hotel only provided 2 bottles of water on the first day but no supply afterwards. This is so un-CAL esp with the hot weather.

Expedia’s ability to modify a reservation is awful. I texted and emailed Expedia to change the name on the reservation. It was changed on my Expedia reservation but not at the hotel! The AI text was obviously not correct. Expedia reservation modification feature is terrible.

If I need to go to the campus, this is the only place I stay. Conevenient location, within walking to multiple restaurants, close to multiple local attractions. On site restaurant is fantastic and love that it's a gratuity free property! Best hotel in the area by far!

I was in LA for three days of meetings and stayed at Luskin. The staff was great and the facility is superb. The room was clean and contemporary. I will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The hotel is so aesthetically pleasing and you feel a calmness the moment you walk in. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here every time I come to visit my son at UCLA.

However, I had a disappointing experience at Plateia. The food I received at dinner was undercooked and lacked flavor. In addition, several staff members seemed visibly annoyed by guests and appeared overwhelmed, which made dining uncomfortable. Even if staff are stressed or busy, it is unprofessional to be so conspicuous about it in front of guests or for it to be projected in a way that alters the level of service. This behavior takes away from the guest experience and does not reflect well on the hotel’s brand. They should either get more staff for peak service hours or provide training to help staff manage busy periods with grace and professionalism. Overall gorgeous space, but the staff’s demeanor and training don’t seem aligned with the level of service expected at this class of hotel, so it undermined the whole experience. If they can level up on the service front they would exemplify a five star experience.

I like this property because it’s adjacent to UCLA so it’s a convenient. The staff is nice everything’s clean. Just wish they had a pool.

I like how this hotel is right on UCLA campus, making it very walkable to a location that you may need to attend there. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The place is very well taken care of and clean. I also felt very safe there. The only I didn’t like that much was that the front door must not be very insulated as you could constantly hear people close their doors or hear people talking clearly in the hallways which made it difficult to sleep through when people came back in the middle of the night. Aside from the noise concern, everything was amazing and I even ordered room service in both breakfast and dinner and both were very good quality and good portions.

Excellent hotel to stay with family in close proximity to UCLA

Excellent location, property and staff! Our room was clean and nicely appointed. We ate breakfast in the restaurant all 3 days of our stay. The service was efficient and food was tasty. The valets are superb, so kind and helpful. Milton made an excellent first impression when we arrived. He made us feel welcome and like valued guests which is pretty uncommon these days.

Hotel is right in the middle of camp is so great location for anyone looking to visit UCLA. If you are looking for accommodating service, I would not recommend this hotel. The staff at the restaurant were rude and unwilling to seat us despite having at least 10 empty tables, and when I called in the morning for an early morning checkout, as instructed at check-in, I was told there were no more late checkouts available. The room itself was great and clean. Just wish the staff was more accommodating.

The hotel is comfortable and well maintained. It’s got a great team a friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable. Overall a great stay. The restaurant could use some improvements. The food was ok but not great. They mysteriously close at 10AM on weekends which means there is no late breakfast or brunch. Something most hotels offer, especially on weekends. In the summer there are very few food choices on campus so this creates a hassle for guests.

The design of the hotel is modern and clean. Everywhere you go feels very spacious. The rooms are lovely and quiet. On warm days the lobby nearly entirely opens to the front of the hotel, partly into the outdoor restaurant seating area. Extraordinary.

Very nice and convenient location

The hotel is in a great location if you are going to be at UCLA in Los Angeles. The hotel is clean, quiet and expensive. Parking is good but an extra $37 per day. The hotel does have a restaurant but breakfast is not included. The main problem with this hotel; is its high prices >$300 per night. The hotel has no amenities (pool, game room, free breakfast, etc...). They are also stingy with the towels, toilet paper and Kleenex.

The rooms are nicely appointed but there is already signs of wear and tear (probably due to the popularity of Luskin). I hope they can keep this hotel in great condition. Would still recommend this hotel to friends and family.
